New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cathryn Fox is a wife, mom, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. She loves dogs, sunny weather, anything chocolate (she never says no to a brownie) pizza and red wine. Cathryn lives in beautiful Nova Scotia with her husband, who is convinced he can turn her into a mixed martial arts fan. When not writing, Cathryn can be found Skyping with her son living in Seattle (could he have moved any farther away?) shopping with her daughter in the city, watching a big action flick with her husband, or hanging out and laughing with friends.
DNF. I just was not feeling this. There was something inauthentic about this story and it doesn't flow well at all. It doesn't help either when the two main characters are annoying. I stopped at chapter 2, I could not read anymore.
I know you wonder why I keep reading these books, or maybe you don't. But I'll tell you anyway. I bought them as a set and I didn't want to waste the money. Instead, I wasted my time. The writing was smooth with no typos or punctuation errors that I could see. The story however, my God how many houses burned to the ground while these guys were answering the HOTLINE? The thing that bothered me the most was at the reception the supposed hero leaves. Now I know you'll say it was because he was just preparing a sexy surprise for her, but she didn't know that. I mean he didn't even dance with her he just left after all the hard work they did preparing the food and she didn't even get to dance and enjoy the evening with her friends at all. Any self respecting woman would stay for the evening with her best friends instead of chasing after a guy she knew for all of 5 days and then book a flight back home the next morning. But no, as in every story the woman must chase the man. That's the law. Personally, If I were her I would've accepted the job offer, flown back home to settle matters and returned to a job that I worked hard for and earned, and if my friends respected me they would never tell the big jerk where I was or what I was doing. And SHE lived happily ever after.

This is a such a fun, entertaining, spicy read. I enjoyed Brady and Megan’s romance and the path that it took to get to their HEA. These are fun characters to spend time with. The story is easy to read and get into. There is a lot packed into less than 110 pages.
I enjoyed the audio version of this book and the narrator.
Megan is trying to help her friend Cassie prepare for her wedding. After a horrible marriage, she knows that there's no such thing as a perfect man. Brady had been on the lookout for Miss Right for quite a while, no that he's met her, he knows he needs to convince Megan that he's Mr. Right. Another Scorcher Novella that is the last installment of the Firefighter heat trilogy.
