I enjoyed this book as a first time ARC reader! Especially considering I didn’t read the first in the series. It kept my attention, wanting to find out what happened next. It got especially good about half way through. I would recommend this book especially if you enjoy modern mafia stories with lots of spice.

I was provided the opportunity to read an ARC for the second book in the series and let me just say I am hooked - I need more!

I don’t think everyone can write a mafia storyline well, but K. Lauren most certainly can! As soon as I finished this book, I was searching for more by her - only to learn this is her second book. Her writing is fantastic and I was shocked to learn she hasn’t written/published more. I’m excited for her future work!

I read the first book, All or Nothing, prior to starting this book. Double Down picks up right where it ends, so I’m glad I read it.

Dominic and Cassandra continue their love story. We have the addition of her father, who’s a federal agent, and a little more storyline for one of the other showgirls, Sadie.

“Come back to me, baby”, I whisper. “I don’t know how to live without you.” This quote and what happens prior, had me a little teary-eyed.

I can’t want to read book three and see how their story continues. I’m also hoping there’s more to come about Sadie and Lucas. 💖

It picks up exactly where All or Nothing leaves us.
Poor girl finds herself being the rope in tug a war match with her Fed dad and Mafia Dominic, that’s where she finds all kinds of trouble. I love her so much, no matter what trouble she’s in, she holds her own and stays calm. I love a strong FMC!
I loved this book, it has the Sub and Dom factors, but it also has a story line that has you hooked and with the way it ended I just know the third one is going to be amazing!

I finished the first book just before starting this one. Finished this book in one night because I couldn’t put it down! The romance was still amazingly steamy. The twists and turns that happened throughout kept me on my toes. The cliff hanger that leaves you wanting more and what happens next. Dominic may be dangerous, but he is so dang sweet and would do literally anything for Cassie. This ends up forming a bond between him and Cassie’s father. Dang the plot twist there! I really am impressed with the story and can’t wait for the next book!

I was reading this book as an ARC reader and I absolutely enjoyed it.

I did not read the first book, however it was easy to follow the story. I love me some good Mafia and K. Lauren defiantly knows how to write a good Mafia book.

This is absolutely 4 Start worthy and highly recommend reading it.

After reading the first book, All or Nothing, I was very excited to read Double Down. I had high hopes because I enjoyed the first one so much. She did not disappoint!! This was a cliffhanger so I was instantly pulled in.
Dominic and Cassandra are such likable characters. Despite their vastly different worlds, he will do everything in his infinite power to make her his queen! The brava, however, will try to stop any chance at peace or happiness.
If you like dark mafia romance with a strong MMC, this is the one!

Enjoyed it!

Considering I did not read the first book All or Nothing, the story flowed right from the beginning.
I felt like I knew the characters after a few pages. This mafia/romance story is an easy and enjoyable read.

I would recommend it.
