I am a 36-year-old Australian author with a deep passion for reading and writing. I am particularly fascinated by human psychology and delving into the forbidden desires of the heart and mind through my written works. As a self-published author, I embrace a multitude of responsibilities. From the initial stages of writing and editing to the intricate tasks of cover design, uploading, marketing, and soon expanding and distributing. My ultimate goal is to create stories that not only leave readers feeling satisfied but also leave them hungry for more.
I am thrilled by the progress I have achieved thus far in my journey as an author. Each step forward brings me closer to fulfilling my aspirations. The satisfaction of having complete control over my work is unparalleled, allowing me to explore my creativity and connect with readers on a deeper level. As I continue on this literary path, I eagerly await the challenges and triumphs that lie ahead. With each new story I write, I aim to push the boundaries of imagination and touch the hearts and minds of readers around the world. My journey as an author is a lifelong commitment, and I am excited to see where it will lead me.
Writing has been a lifelong passion for me, rooted in my early days of reading and crafting whimsical tales during my childhood. I even had the joy of receiving a few accolades for my literary endeavours. During my teenage years, my creative expression took the form of poetry, a medium that allowed me to delve into my complicated emotions and explore the depths of my soul during hard times. However, as life unfolded, life got busy. Really busy. My focus shifted towards pursuing my dreams of becoming a chef and a nanny. The demands and responsibilities of these pursuits consumed my time and energy, leaving little room for writing. It seemed like I had put my literary aspirations on hold indefinitely.
However, in 2022, after finding myself in a dark place, I rediscovered my passion for writing. The idea for a book had been lingering in my mind for years, and it finally took shape as Love You Always. Once I started writing, I became consumed by it, and it became a lifeline for me. Surprisingly, it took me only three months to complete my first manuscript. Buoyed by this accomplishment, I began working on the second book in the series, titled I Do Always. During this time, I also realised the importance of seeking help for my mental health. Proactively addressing my well-being improved my overall state of mind. As a result, I felt better and more motivated to continue pursuing my writing career. Fast forward to the present, two years later, and I have successfully published four books. The joy and fulfillment I derive from writing has propelled me forward, and I am excited about the many ideas I have for future projects. The journey of writing has not only saved my life, but also opened up a world of possibilities for me.
This story details the rather saucy love life of Ben and Bailee as they prepare to get married. Amid the sauce and spice the book does deal with trauma and grief and mental health issues. As a guy I obviously didn’t mind the love scenes. In fact this very much reminded me of the Emmanuelle films so if you liked them you will love this. The reason I gave this 4 stars was for the stuff in between like the constant repetition of the wedding list. I didn’t think that needed to be added every time Bailee went to check something off. Apart from that I was engaged in the story and although this is a sequel it can be read as a stand-alone like I did but I will go back and read the first book at some point. If you read the back matter there is the possibility of a third book coming out which I like the idea off. There was a plot element in this book that the author didn’t venture into only implied might happen that I hope would be explored more if there is a third book.
Having enjoyed Love You Always, the first book in this series, I was looking forward to reading the sequel, and I was not disappointed. As with the first book, there are some hot and steamy scenes, but as anyone who has planned a wedding will know, it is a testing time which puts pressure on any relationship. When tragedy strikes, Bailee and Ben struggle with the situation and are uncertain of their future. However, they are still in love and must strive to overcome all the obstacles. An enjoyable read with great characters.
The writing in this story feels like listening to a close friend pour out her heart, go over her wedding plans, and deal with new and old traumas. The colloquial style of writing keeps the story moving at a good pace and makes Bailee empathetic as a main character. The author has a talent for writing a steamy romance in which the the reader relates strongly to the main character. Highly Recommended.
I loved the first book, and I Do Always is a continuation. We all know the stress planning for a wedding can cause, and for Bailee and Ben, it is no different! And if an upcoming wedding wasn't enough to cope with, a tragedy befalls the couple, challenging their current path. Somehow, Bailee and Ben need to find their way back to one another. This was well written and a great sequel. Highly recommend...
Hot! Hot! Hot! If planning a wedding isn’t stressful enough, life then throws a whole lot of problems at Bailee and Ben just to put their love to the test. This story is full of twists and turns and hot enough to burn the page. After reading the first book in this series the second didn’t disappoint. An enjoyable read with great characters. Report
This is the second book in this series, and having read the first this was no disappointment. The book is well written and flows beautifully, centering around a couple who despite normal life’s stresses, love each other. And their devotion grows through out the book. Which is felt in every page. With a great hea, and beautiful vows.
I read this and the first book a few months ago and am just now getting to do a review. It was well-written and a cute story. There are some books I will reread over and over and some I will read only once. This one is is the "will reread" pile :)
