Mrs. Murder

Rate this book
I used to be Miss Murder. Now I might be something far worse.
They call me Miss Murder—a bestselling thriller author adored for my blood-soaked stories. But the truth behind every lurid page isn’t just it’s my fiancé’s, Vincent. He kills. I watch. I write. It’s the perfect arrangement… until I realize someone’s watching me.

When a relentless stranger starts tailing me and a damning photograph goes missing, the illusion I’ve built begins to crumble. A Hollywood director demands my darkest work yet, and with threats closing in, I’m forced to consider the one line I swore I’d never cross—stepping out of the shadows and into Vincent’s bloody world.

And as our wedding day approaches, Vincent promises a “gift” that will seal my fate as Mrs. Murder. But what I discover at the altar leaves me with one impossible become the monster I’ve only ever written about…or lose everything I’ve lied, bled, and schemed to protect.

Because in my world, vows aren’t just promises—they’re invitations to kill.

Mrs. Murder is the wickedly addictive sequel to Miss Murder. Perfect for fans of Freida McFadden, Daniel Hurst, and Kiersten Modglin. Prepare to question how far you’d go to keep your secrets—and your life—intact.

Excellent Follow Up Book

I enjoyed this book as much as Miss Murder. I think this would make a great movie or tv series

A little above 3.5 stars. This has more twists in it and is a bit more messed up. Good series.

The second book in this series and it was just as good as the first! The twists and turns around every corner will have you guessing until the very end about what was to come next.

The duo POV was truly something I loved as I loved reading from the perspective of Vincent.

I will NOT be posting any spoilers in this review, but I will say that the ending was not what I thought it would be!

The book sounded good so I bought Miss Murder and Mrs. Murder at the same time. That was a mistake. I didn't like the first one and then I felt like I had to read the second one. What a waste of my time. I did not like one character in these books. Totally unbelievable and boring. I must be missing something.

This series was nuts!
Full of twists and turns—-honestly, I saw none of it coming. I had an idea sometimes, but never to the fullest extent delivered .
How the first story unfolds is full of ‘whodunnit’. It keeps you wondering what will happen next. The second one, it’s full of thrilling obscenities & lurid truth. Others I’ve talked to seen the truth coming, but I really wanted to believe that the character revealed was innocent beforehand! Reading the brutality of this series was very interesting to say the least. Definitely a page turner! Each and every character had an important place in this series too which makes a huge difference. There were no boring characters.
Insane ending! I found myself looking up into the distance as I was finishing it.
I really wanted to find out if Stephen & Luna eventually got back together, or if Luna using the gifted typewriter was her writing the true story behind what she was exposed to, or what she was able to write so freely about in the cell—if her aphantasia had been diminished, etc.

This was such a great follow-up to the first book! Mrs. Murder keeps the momentum of the Miss Murder series going strong.
It was so entertaining watching Luna's internal struggle between doing what is actually right versus doing what she felt she had to do to remain the "Miss Murder" that everyone adored and get the validation she secretly craved. That tension added a great layer to the story.
I spotted some of the twists before they happened, but there were a few good surprises in there as well. This book was a wildly entertaining read from start to finish. If you liked the first one, you’re going to enjoy this sequel.

She done it again! I was fortunate enough to read this as an ARC, like the first Miss Murder, & Mrs Murder doesn’t not disappoint.
I love Zia’s writing, she draws you in from the start & gives you a real feel for the characters without being too ‘wordy’ (which is a put off for me).
This second part of Luna’s story is brilliant. It ties it all together & I don’t think you’ll see the twist coming.
I’ve seen comparisons to Freida but in my opinion, she is better, with more elevated writing & not so ‘out there’ story lines that can be a bit unbelievable.
I’m already a big fan & impatiently hopes she writes faster.

Ahhhh just as good as the first in this duo! Absolutely loved this storyline and the pace of this book. Quick and exciting read that fully rounds out the story of Mrs. Murder — everything I needed and more after finishing the first book.

HIGHLY recommend this book and this author! While this 2nd book isn’t out yet, the first is, and I would get my hands on it if I were you!

Miss Murder becomes Mrs. Murder in this sequel, showcasing everything she is truly capable of. Were you left needing more after finishing the previous book? Then you’re in the right place to read this one!

Didn't click for me

⭐️⭐️⭐️ – “Mrs. Murder” Review
This one was a bit of a mixed bag for me. The writing was sharp and the pacing kept me turning pages, but I personally struggle with stories told from the perspective of the person doing the killing—it makes it harder for me to connect emotionally. I found myself wishing the main character wrestled more with the weight of what she was doing, especially when innocent lives were involved. Still, it wasn’t a bad read—just not one that totally clicked for me.

Incredible sequel for Miss Murder with even twistier storyline!
I had the privilege to be a beta reader for both books and I absolutely loved them.
These books have short chapters, very gripping storyline which make you not want to stop reading until the book is finished.
Perfect for any fans of Freida McFadden, Kiersten Modglin or Spencer Guerrero. Add to your TBR lists now as you won’t be disappointed!

Took me a a little bit to finish the book but I can say that although I didn’t enjoy it as much as Miss Murder, it still was interesting. I feel like in this book, it went into way too much detail that it didn’t need to create Fluff and it was becoming repetitive, but other than that it was good. The ending did throw me for a loop because I did not expect it to end that way. Overall, it’s still a good read and I enjoyed it.

I read the first book - Miss Murder. It was really good. This is the sequel. It was creepy and full of twists you don't see coming. But I don't suggest reading this book first. Even after reading Miss Murder months ago, I was often confused with the characters because the back story isn't explained well at all - if any. I had forgotten some of the characters and the story. So read this great book - but read the first one first in order to really understand the story.

This just did not live up to what I was hoping. I think I was over it after the first book and should’ve spaced them out. My bad. But this wasn’t good. The pacing was off, I couldn’t get behind the characters in this one. And honestly at times the descriptions were just too detailed. This would’ve been better as a novella.

I found it a bit repetitive but the end actually made it better. Once again I've figured out early in the book who was captive, which is weird because I rarely figure this out while reading. Somehow both books in the series were a little predictable for me. Overall, an easy and enjoyable series to read during my vacation.

I was so excited when this one came out which is the second half of the series. This one reeled me in just like the first one did and I read it less than 24 hours. I love how the storyline continued and it ended on a perfect note.

This book definitely reminds me of the quote, “when it rains, it pours.” Mrs. Murder herself was going through 😂, but it’s definitely a good read and gives a sense of closure to her former life and her new self.

The Saga!! Well written, the book was really good, could not stop reading it. The twist at the end was a little predictable but still, the follow up story was really good!! And I believe it got the ending it deserved!

Throughout this whole book, I found myself rooting for different characters and not sure who I wanted to come out on top. I definitely did NOT see that twist coming after the wedding 😳 I was sad for Luna’s ending but felt it wrapped up well.

I do not recommend this book unless you enjoy sadistic gruesome reads. I like psychological thrillers but this was very disturbing. An author getting off on watching her boyfriend savagely kill someone so she can write is disgusting. I only read a few chapters and deleted it.
