Finally, my first ever and well deserved top rated spicy book! This book did not disappoint. It was such a fun read very character driven, with the FMC exploring her boundaries and desires. And don’t even get me started on the supportive husband he made me melt.

The exploration of kinks without judgment and the club members taking their roles seriously had me screaming. The men were attentive, always checking in with Roxy and making it clear the safe word was there for a reason and okay to use. That week-long stint Roxy signed up for. Sign me up, please!

Honestly, I felt sad for Roxy when it was over and I think I developed some attachment issues myself. The connection she had with the men, and what they did to her, was just brilliant. I loved all the men who devoured her, but I’m a little obsessed with Tom. I’m so excited to see what the next book brings, and I really hope we get to see those men again.

Just a couple of small things: I loved the intimate tattoo moment, but having two of them felt like be a bit much. Also, everything went so smoothly it would’ve been interesting to see something go wrong or to have some consequences. But who knows, maybe the next book will bring that twist!

For a debut novel by a fellow Australian brilliant.

Reread update: This was a reread for me, as I got the opportunity to experience it again through the audiobook. I absolutely devoured it and finished listening within 24 hours. The narrators did a brilliant job bringing the characters to life and made it feel like I was experiencing the story for the very first time again smiling, blushing, and completely enjoying the ride. I’m really looking forward to more of Ruby’s books being turned into audiobooks in the future. I highly recommend picking it up in this format.

Book Review 📖

Holy mother of chili peppers, this story is officially one of my all-time favorite smutty reads and I am still reeling.

Following Rosie as she transforms into her alias, Roxy, was such an addictive ride because it is not just about the explicit scenes, it is about her reclaiming a dormant part of herself. The way she balances being a hardworking mom with her new life as a confident submissive at the Clarendon is so fascinating and honestly handled with so much heart.

The chemistry and the sheer variety of kinks in this story are mind-blowing and even introduced me to things I had never even heard of before. It is definitely more of a "smut is the plot" kind of read, which was the perfect palate cleanser for my slow-burn burnout. I was particularly obsessed with how supportive and possessive her husband James was throughout the whole process. There is no unnecessary drama between them, just total trust and a shared desire that makes him a top-tier book boyfriend in my eyes. Every interaction with the club members is dripping with electric tension and unapologetic desire that kept me turning pages well into the early morning.

Ruby Skye really did not hold back for this one. The exploration of power plays and dominant dynamics felt bold and indulgent without losing that sense of self-discovery that makes Rosie so relatable. It is a decadent, spicy masterpiece that feels like a reference guide for anyone wanting to expand their knowledge of the kinky world while getting lost in a total fantasy. I finished it feeling completely satisfied and wanting more of these characters because the emotional payoff of Rosie finding her own strength was just as good as the heat. If you want a book that delivers on every single spicy promise and then cranks the temperature up even higher, this is it.

This was definitely such an experience for me,since it was my first time in this genre and my first touch with such explicit scenes on a constant basis during a story.
I won't lie,firstly I was a little bit scared and confused,yet as Rosie herself, as the story went by I enjoyed every page even more ,and oh boy I will say it I LIKED IT!
We follow Rosie,who in order to gain some money for her family starts a job in an elite golfing club.Soon she will learn that she got into a kink club which members will pay her good only to spend some hours with her or under her.
As you understood,this story is strictly about 18+ reader,and I really advise you to read it only if you are over that age because GIRL what I read it that magnificent story is one of its kind-I am pretty sure I will not find it again.
The only way I could desribe this book is with the word freedom.For Rosie and for all the ordinaries that every woman wants to break,even with the constant changes she uses in her narration from fast when Rosie's life happens to slow when Rosie's private visits arise ,makes the reader understand how the protagonist herself gets a salvation when she does the secret deed.
Personally,I will revisit the author soon again becuase oh.my.god. this was FIRE!

Wow, this was not what I expected, it was actually so much better. This was such a kinky good time with plenty of spice and it had me completely sat. I finished it in one day because I just could not stop listening.

🎧 The narration was absolutely fantastic. Celia Stone did such a great job with this story. I loved the self-reflection, the way Roxie/Rosie tested her limits and discovered more about herself, and Celia portrayed all of that perfectly.
The male narrator cast was also top tier and kept me fully invested the entire time. Honestly, I was so intrigued because there was so much I didn’t know going in, and this story had me intrigued, disturbed, and turned on all at once… I mean, this was so good that it kept me completely glued to my headphones. Bravo!

This is by far the spiciest book I’ve read in a long time! I read and listened to it, and it was such an immersive experience.

The story follows Rosie, who takes a part-time job at a golf club to help support her family. What she doesn’t realize is that the golf club doubles as a kinky club for its members. As Rosie navigates this unexpected new world, she begins to unlock various fantasies and kinks, even those she never thought she could explore or that she didn’t think she had.

What I loved is that through it all, her husband James has been incredibly supportive. There’s no bad blood between them – just trust and understanding.

This book broke my spice scale, and I’m here for it! It’s a 5-star read that I highly recommend. Huge thanks to the author and Hambright Marketing for this ARC and ALC – it was an unforgettable ride!

I'm thinking so hard right now to be able to retell my experience of reading about specific things, one after another and try to detangle roxy's thoughts, her attachments with the clients, the anticipation of her husband's reaction and the aftermath.

This was a totally New concept to me and I'm not just blowing up smoke, I understand monogamy and polygamy too, but this was very different as I felt like it was somewhere between the two, like the FMC is dedicated to her husband, but at the same time is also exploring her own sexuality and kinks with others. It was a total mind scratcher for me and still is about the husband's thought process.

Rosie’s journey from ordinary employee to fully immersed participant in the club’s scandalous underworld was addictive from page one. The “one more chapter” effect hit hard, except suddenly it was 2 a.m. and I was clutching my Kindle like it contained state secrets. 😮‍💨

The spice level is volcanic. Not “tiny candlelit romance” spicy. More “someone handed the devil a membership card and a safeword” spicy. 🌶️🖤 The kink exploration felt bold, playful, and shamelessly indulgent, while still keeping Rosie’s curiosity and self-discovery at the center of the story.

And the men? Wealthy, possessive, dominant, morally questionable perfection. Every interaction carried this electric tension that made the entire book feel like walking into a room where you know you shouldn’t stay… but locking the door behind you anyway.

As long as you go into this for what it is and you're not expecting a story telling masterpiece that will change your world - you'll have a really good time.

If you liked The Naughty List by Jade West you will really like this one! I really liked the break from story telling and while there is a plot this is definitely a book that is "more smut, less plot" so be prepared for that. I loved the relationship between Rosie and James and how supportive he was of her and how there was a positive impact to their sex life with this job. I loved the sex and kink positivity throughout the book - a nice little escape I would recommend!

There were a few issues that were probably mine (food does not belong in the bedroom and cake should be eaten, not sat on) (one of the male narrators was just...ick - luckily he wasn't in much of the book) - but for the most part it was an enjoyable ride that I was happy to escape into for a few hours. I'll probably continue on with the series.

Rosie takes on some different jobs and learns some new kinks she never knew she would be okay with or into. The emotions she feels after each job, she is not prepared for. Or the way her husband greets her or marks and places ownership on her before she leaves.

This is probably the spiciest book I have ever read!

Rosie goes through all the emotions along the way. It’s not JUST A JOB. She has to learn how to balance her feelings and the connections she makes a long the way, as well as learning some new kinks she enjoys also. I love how supportive her husband was and how he marked her.

Hot damn 🥵🥵🥵 Ruby Skye surprised me, but in such a good way!

The Secret Club follows Rosie (aka Roxy) as she navigates looking for a way to supplement her income to avoid selling her house. This leads to her applying for a job as at a golf club, but its not just a golf club, they cater to underground sex kinks too... and oh man is it HOT!

She is married with kids, but she runs all jobs by her husband, James, who is so supportive of her exploring her kinks and what she enjoys, but is also incredibly possessive of Rosie which makes for an interesting contrast in him. He even admits to his curiosity and some of his own kinks. One thing I can say is their relationship is truly GOALS! The way they lean on each other and support each other, while also making sure that everything is okay and him wanting the experiences for her has me HOOKED!

Rosie reclaims a dormant part of her sexuality and explores her kinks. She knows what she likes but honestly, she seems open to pretty much anything. They explore so many kinks in this book, Dom/sub dynamics, food play, group play, just to name a few and Ruby did a phenomenal job sharing these. A little sad that it seems Rosie is chasing money, and the emotional drop she has when she leaves each job is a little worrying but I'm definitely keen to learn some more about this world.

The chosen narrators for this one were also pretty good! I'll admit I don't know any of them, but they did an exceptional job, I especially liked the FMC voice actress Celia Stone. The cadence of her voice made her easy to listen to.

The story is for sure more smut than plot, but is also relatable. I love how Rosie was also the no judgment type who was out to please the men she was with, and herself. I think my only disappointment was how every job she was curious about, she made it about the money when justifying it to herself and James. It didn't skew my rating in any way, but I just felt a little sad about that part.

For sure a worthwhile read if you enjoy a ton of smut and kink exploration.

I went into this blind and wasn’t sure what to expect. Rosie lands a job at a fancy golf resort, which sounds innocent enough until she discovers the club’s very exclusive "playmate" program. Employees can sign up to fulfill the private, kinky, fantasies of members. With her husband’s blessing, Rosie signs up to the game and dives in head first, exploring a world of high-paying kinky adventures.

Let’s be real, this book is 380 pages of pure smut and that’s not bad per se. But there is zero story behind Rosie’s different jobs. All we get is her becoming a kinky escort, going on jobs and loving everything that’s being done to her. Then she goes home to her husband who goes all possessive on her and they also have lots of sex.
Don’t get me wrong, much of it was hot (if I ignore the kinks that didn’t do anything for me…everything food related…yikes) but I was wishing for a little more substance. For example, James, the husband, was very fast to agree to his wife’s new profession. A little backstory or build-up, like if they were already dabbling in sharing, would’ve added some dimension. And conveniently, all of her clients were around her age and good-looking. This seems highly unrealistic, but then it’s probably not meant to be realistic to begin with. But some variety in the looks and age of the men would have added to Rosie’s internal conflict. The final job is a week-long kink marathon with eight men that starts off steamy but turns a bit repetitive by the end.
So all in all, it was a hot and very spicy ride which delved into a a huge variety of kinks, some definitely out of my comfort zone. Take it for what it is and you will have a good time.

This one is like a kink dictionary. Literally so many kinks in this one. The concept was so fun and the story was intriguing enough that it didn’t rely solely on smut…ok I mean it did but whatever, you know what I mean. 😂

My jaw was on the ground and I had whiplash with how fast the MC dives into her work at the sex/kink club.

It was prob the classiest smut book I’ve read. It was downright filthy but so much fun.

In the end, after her week long f@&kfest it felt like when Dorothy goes back to Kansas after being in Oz or like the end of Labyrinth. It made me laugh a little.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for a consensual, empowering, sexy good time. The MC felt this freedom from her sex worker jobs which I thought was unique, as was the relationship she had with her husband.

I loved reading this book, the main character and her self exploration journey is very interesting. I hope we do get to see more of the men in this book in the next one as well. I loved how supportive the main characters husband was about her self exploration side of her job and how possessive he was definitely puts him on "best book boyfriend" list of books I have read thus far. Definitely a 5/5 star rating for me and highly recommend this book if you enjoy books with a lot of spice to them.
