Taking place weeks after the epic battle on the island of Capri, fought between Tullus Acilius Ulixes, the Leopard King, and his nemesis, the Snake Lord Serpentus, the former rogue Tribune, Norbanus Forticus Blandus.
Tullus and the Troupe journey to the Alcazar of the vengeful criminal Lord Jarkos Wolfsbane to rescue Celestra the Leopardess, who is being held in a cursed Demonsteel cage, which prevents her from using magic. The final confrontation with the Wolfsbane clan will determine not only Tullus' fate, but that of his friends and allies.
Serpentus, using the Serpent Door, travels to the Demon World of Kaotika with a heavily-armed detachment of soldiers, in search of powerful new allies, while constructing infernal War Goblen troops to build his new Serpent Horde Army.
Back in Rome, Eliana and her Dryad allies continue their struggle against persecution by the corrupt regime of Emperor Caligula, who is now under the control of the evil Cultist Afaa. But first they must locate a traitor within their midst, who threatens to destroy all they have worked for.
In Switzerland, Centurion Decimus and his Legatus, Eolus, must combine their wits and military tact to prevent a massive German invasion that threatens Roman borders.
The forces of freedom and oppression clash in the 3rd installment of the Leopard King Saga, as the armies of opposing sides vie for victory on blood-soaked battlefields, and on the high seas, with the outcome far from decided.
Only one thing is certain: characters will find their destinies irrecoverably changed.

…And T.A. Uner’s wickedly epic saga continues with the third tome, THE LEOPARD APOCALYPSE and once again, I was lost to reality.
Travel through time to other worlds, to realms where magic exists and evil slithers through the land leaving an ugly scar of destruction and despair as good wages a desperate war to come out on top.
Celestra has been captured, her magic muted and Tullus must believe in himself enough to save her from certain torment and death, and that is only a small slice of what is happening in this world. Heroes will fall, evil will gain allies and grow stronger. Can the tide be changed when the darkness closes in from so many directions, so many monsters and in so many venues?
There is something earthy about T.A. Uner’s style of creativity. One thing he does not steer away from is using poetic license in the naming and behaviors of his evil spawn. Intense, with non-stop action, the tension is forever running at a fevered pitch as the eternal, galactic battles between good and evil rage on. From the dialogue to the atmosphere of each scene, my emotions ran the gamut from disgust to anger to that thrill when our heroes rise to the top.
This is action-fantasy at its most powerful with over-the-top characters that are often larger than life and dramatic as T.A. Uner combines contemporary dialogue with eras that feel ancient and it works! I found I liked the way the characters were named, with no doubt about where they stood on the good vs evil scale. Not a word was wasted, not a page unnecessary, if you are looking for epic reading that deftly overlays fantasy and history, these tomes and this saga make for fascinating reading!
I received a complimentary ARC edition from T.A. Uner! This is my honest and voluntary review.

First of all I want to apologize to the author for it taking me so long to read this book but with one thing or another it definitely made it harder to focus. And to be honest I couldn't really get myself into it either.
The story does a great job in delivering the action-packed scenes that T.A. is known for in his other books and bringing to life an alternative Rome that has just enough of history to keep it anchored. As a result the reader may learn a bit about Roman life even as he is led away from the historical into the fantastical.
Another thing that I find interesting with this particular book is that the lewdness and graphic erotica found in some of his books has been toned way down in this one. There was two or three scenes that suggested at the male dominated sexual humiliation of the female body but comparatively it was a lot less than normally found within the Leopard-verse.
Even with the slimming down of the previous mentioned scenes there is still a bunch of profanity and vulgar language so this is still not a book written with a young audience in mind or one who doesn't enjoy the use of such language.
What really bothers me with this book though is its whole set-up of the book itself. First of all it had been so long since I read book 2 that I was confused as to what was happening at the start of the book. Although it now makes sense to me it wasn't the type of beginning it needed, especially since from there it just seemed to be a rollercoaster from one barely still part to another climactic fight.
Most of the time when this happens in a book within a series you can shrug the book off as an okay read since you know that it will bridge into a great next book. At this point there was nothing left to cover since it was all thrown into one. In a sense the slow saving of Celestra and the savory time-chilled build-up of the events within this book could have been a bridge into another book where the climactic fight would have been the focus. Nope. Or the rescue of Celestra should have been added to the previous book to finish out that action sequence. Again no.
With all the hills and dips in the storytelling I felt like the focus wasn't on the characters this time but on building up the book. As a result Celestra who has always been one of my favorite seemed lackluster compared to her usual bubbly self. As such I wanted her to do more than just growl, snarl and point a paw. And Mithras for being her partner just seemed to be a pushover with almost no character to balance out the high-strung leopardess.
At the same time there were plenty of new characters that seemed to be introduced to the book and some that would have been great characters to get to know better such as Bricks who showed up to be ingenious, quick-witted and rather heroic in his brief appearances. These minor but new characters were given a small polish it seemed then shoved out of thought, out of mind just as quick. The villains it seemed were given enough leaning for you to know they were villains and the good guys enough to know they were good before they were shoved under the Troupe.
And my final major complaint about the book is the whole unbelievability of the book. Although it was newly weird to see how he combined his sci-fi and fantasy genres together that wasn't where I find fault. Instead I thought it was clever although leaning into the timeframe of Nazi Germany a bit cliché for this type of book.
The whole part that was unbelievable was how many fights were done, how much unevenness, how much struggles while not one single main good guy was killed. Crippled, hurt and made to suffer, yep, but no tears shed for the bosses. As a result it was to the point where you clearly were checking off the villains and knowing that the fight would be won without a single doubt or even a shadow of a hope for the cause of evil if that is the way you try to lean sometimes.
All in all it to me it was an okay read and one I don't know whether I can recommend it truthfully just since of everything that seemed so out-of-place to me as I read it.

Here we are, the long awaited third volume of the Leopard King Saga. Was it worth the wait? Definitely!
This third tome continues the epic journey of Tullus and his friends and allies through ancient Earth and Kaotika and their pursuit to defeat the evil plans of Lord Serpentus. This book is packed with action and epic battles on land, sea and air, and for some reason it kept reminding me of Return of the Jedi and Lord of the Rings, which is no bad thing if you ask me.
But be prepared before you venture into this third instalment, the journey is long, oh so very long, the amount of characters is enormous and it's sometimes hard to keep track of who's who. It will also build up on past events from the previous volumes and I wish it did a better job at reminding the reader who some of those past characters are sometimes, since the previous book came out so long ago it's hard to place some of those relationships.
T.A. Uner manages to expand the lore of this fictional take on human history even more this time around, displaying an unlimited reservoir of creativity, keeping you entertained for the entirety of the journey.
If you like fantasy and science-fiction mixed with Roman history, give this series a go, you won't regret it.
This story continues the Leopard Saga. If you read any of this series, you will want to read this to see where the story goes. Let me say first, this is a huge book, probably 3 or 4 times longer than most. That being said, it is full of action and adventure. There are a lot of story lines going on but it is not hard to follow. If you like science fiction, then get your snacks and a drink and settle in for a nice long read.

I did enjoy this book, as I have every book by this author, however I did not find this book as good as the first instalment in the series. This continues the story of Tullus and Celestra in their battle against Serpentus and expands on the superimposed fantasy elements in Ancient Rome by adding in alien races and different planets. This book was maybe slightly sci-fi in some aspects (aliens and time travel) which I don’t necessarily like but that doesn’t diminish the excellent story telling. Another enjoyable book by TA Uner that I would recommend to any fantasy or history fan like myself.

This is another action-packed book with Tullus and Celestra battling Sepentus. Anyone who is a fan of reading fictional books that takes place during Ancient Rome with a bit a supernatural in the mix needs to read this series.
