Wrath

Never having liked my husband-to-be's family is a scar that lots of women have to wear. But that is fine, and we get over it, don't we girls? Well, when my husband-to-be fails to show at his own wedding... beware the bride. Me, I'm the bride. And before this day is out, I'll be standing in a crimson tide.

Wrath contains scenes of violence unsuitable for some. Consider this a trigger warning for everything.

Envy. Gluttony. Greed. Lust. Pride. Sloth. Wrath.

The seven deadly sins, played out full of gore and sex and each featuring kick-ass female leads.

Gore driven.

A weak ending

This was my least favorite of the Summer of Sin series. There was barely a story here. It was ok.

If you have read my reviews, before, and know me, I absolutely love a good, gory revenge story! That being said, I loved this one! Most of the books I have read in the revenge genre are exacting vengeance on an attacker, or, sexual predator. This one was fun in the way that a different motive was introduced. I really enjoyed the pop culture references. One, in particular that made me smile was a reference to "Pulp Fiction" (one of my all-time favorites)! 😁 There are plenty of fantastic gore scenes, very descriptive in nature, and graphic in detail, which I am always here for. I love the way Ash's brain works when laying out the mental visuals of carnage, and viscera. This is most definitely worth the read, and I highly recommend this story to anyone who enjoys Revenge/Vengeance books. 5 stars!

This one may have stole the limelight from gluttony and pride! Our female lead this time is left at the alter after her husband to be called it off. On a mission she hunts after all the people to get the answers she needs. How will she take it?

On her path of fury I felt every emotion she must have been feeling. The urgency to find the answers. The rage at those who didn’t like her and were happy about the marriage not going ahead. This one may be the favourite as it was just so relatable! Filled to the brim with gore and oh my the twist at the end I would have reacted the same!!

Jilted, and all his family and friends are there to bear witness to her humiliation. But she isn’t humiliated, she’s furious.

The final episode in the Summer of Sin series, and what a finale! The author’s ability to find utility in everyday objects never ceases to amaze me.

But, come on, I’m never going to be able to open a tube of Pringles again without flashbacks!

Here comes the Bride

Man!!!! That was something. I will give it to Ericmore he always delivers such fun stories. This is one my second favorite of the 7 Deadly sins stories in the Summer of Sin series. I hope he puts them all together for a physical release. I would love to have this on my bookshelf.

I really enjoyed this series, and Wrath was a great way to wrap it up! It’s a satisfying revenge story. After being left at the altar, the main character understandably emotional sets out to uncover why her husband-to-be never showed up. What she finds spirals into a gory, vividly described mess. I’ll definitely be thinking about this story the next time I open a can of Pringles!

It's like an update of an AITA post we all want to see. Being left at the altar and then going full carnage to get to the bottom of the tea? I'm so here for it.

I most certainly have heard stories of jilted brides from the interwebs, and usually the almost-bride throws a party with her bridesmaids and her family to celebrate her unexpected singlehood, with her wearing the artfully-wrecked wedding dress. Empowering.

THIS is different. There is no party. Hell, she didn't even have her own family and friends to turn to for some comfort, after the groom had abandoned her on the church steps. The whole wedding party, with the exception of her closest friend, were all from the groom's side. And they are all laughing at her, because they all knew that this was coming, except her. How f*cking distressing and humiliating was that? She even paid for their hotel room reservations, the c*nts. So what's a girl to do?

This being an Ash Ericmore story, she did the only thing she could. She needed answers, so she sought them out, one by one. And these people had better be ready to answer, because our girl was pissed, and she was definitely not in the mood to play around. This is an outstanding "Good for her!" piece of fiction!

I have to say, this is the fastest that I've ever read a story in my entire life! As much as I love "Lust", I think it might have been edged out by this one. Ash saved the best for last, and the jilted bride is definitely my favorite character from this series! And now I am sad, because this book marks the end of The Summer of Sin. But oh, what a glorious summer it was!!!
