I liked the premise, but in the end, it did not work for me.
The writing was too wordy. The verbiage was not smooth. It felt choppy. Dual POVs and the switch was frequent and many times situations were repeated through both POVs.
Then there are things the heroine did that made me think differently of her.
The "love" between this couple felt awkward to me. I do not know if it was just the writing style or something else that made me feel that way. Also, in the beginning,

Loved it. Great college romance. I read the first book in the series, L
. Was totally swooning from Tom and Darcy's story in that first book. This second book in the series tells the story of Darcy's older brother, Caleb, and Rene. There are twists and turns in the plots. It's heartbreaking at times but you really pull for the characters and their happily ever after. Rene is someone I could really relate to and Caleb is someone I would I've my right arm to be with! I'm starting the third book now.

I was captivated from the very beginning knowing it was the next book in the Let Me series. I read the first book in the series, Let Me Be the One (Let Me #1) by Lily Foster and I was in love with Tom and Darcy's story that I just had to continue with the next book. This book tells the story of Darcy's older brother, Caleb, and her college roommate Rene. It was sad at times and I found myself feeling heartache and admiration for Rene because of the troubles and obstacles she's had to overcome in her life. Honestly these two couldn't have been better for each other. Overall an AMAZING book!

Feel so emotional right now. Maybe because I'm running on very little sleep. Stayed up reading this heartbreaking story that was so very good. There was such a strong bond between the two main characters, Rene and Caleb. Such a satisfying conclusion. A very worthwhile read.

Am I the only who didn't totally love this book???
If you want a review without any spoilers you may want skip this one ;)
The storyline was okay and it's not like we're looking for unique plots in this genre anyway.
The heroine René meets hero Caleb, who is her college roommates older brother. So far, so good. René comes off as a hard working, independent, young woman. After some time, René and Caleb start texting and calling each other. They become fast friends and fall in love.
And here is where my problems with this book began:
Everything felt so rushed. They were friends for 6 months without any personal contact. The author skips almost all of these 6 months. As an effect their friendship is more of a telling rather than a showing kind of thing. When René is in the city for an interview (how convenient), they actually meet for (what feels like at least) the first time. They proceed to have sex and revealing their love for each other. I don't mind couples getting together after like 25% of the book and then exploring their relationship. But with these two I just didn't feel any chemistry at all!!!
Another skip in time and René realizes that she is pregnant. She wants to terminate the pregnancy, which in her situation is an understandable thing to do. She is a 20 year old College junior after all. I don't judge her for wanting an abortion. It is her body and her life! What I didn't like was the way she handled it. If her best friends hadn't interfered, she would have gone through with it without telling the father. I mean, yes it's her body and she has the final call and at all, but I do think the father deserves to know and have some kind of input on the decision. I feel like she solved the "problem" like an equation in maths...
After going through with the abortion she breaks it off with Caleb and up until they get back together almost a year later the whole book seems like a giant pity party for René. I was so mad at her some times, I had to put my Kindle aside to calm down a little so I wouldn't throw it against a wall. I kept thinking things like "please girl, just get some help" or "why is nobody suggesting a therapist?". She has a tough background with her parents being drug addicts and then having to live with her aunt and uncle who didn't exactly welcome her with open arms. But running away and closing yourself off is no healthy way to deal with this kind of trauma. There are people who are trained to help you through the rough patches in life.
Needless to say, I wasn't Rene's biggest fan. Her personality made a huge U-Turn and I just couldn't identify with her. I actually couldn't have cared less if she got her HEA or not. I skipped a lot in the end and just wanted to get it over with.
So...the main reasons why I didn't like this novel are that I didn't feel any chemistry between the main characters and that in the end I strongly disliked the heroine, René.
The story had so much potential but it just felt flat and didn't work for me at all.

This one was a difficult read for me. I struggled to finish it -- and only because I had invested hours already. Slow, slow and repetitive in the dual povs. The angsty feelings were sad and not always easy to read and seemed endless. The storyline seemed stuck in neutral for long periods of time without much forward motion. This is a first time read by this author. Her writing was average and nothing about the story flashed different or outstanding. Just the usual -- except agonizingly slow.

What a love story!
I laughed, I literally cried, I had to drag my husband to bed to get some relief (!) But most importantly, I really felt deeply connected to the characters, Caleb and Rene. Miss Foster weaves an intricate, moving tale in this book with characters that you can't help be drawn in by, root for and fall in love with. Just loved this story and can't wait to get my hands on more from this writer.

You know when you get to the last page of a book and you're sad? I've been in mourning for the past few days because I actually miss these characters!
I pulled for Rene throughout the book ....and Caleb? What can I say....he is my fantasy husband! Really though, this story is really painful at times but it's beautiful, emotional and romantic.

Went through a major withdrawal when I finished this story too! Caleb and Rene's story was so good. I mean so, so good. Not the same old, same old, cliched formula. You adore these characters because they are complex and real. The love story is wonderful and certain topics, I feel, are dealt with in such an intelligent an thoughtful manner.

Lily Foster creates her heroes as caring, understanding and supportive. The books I read on this series really is touching and emotional. She really creates such beautiful, tight bonds among the H and h that makes me wish it in real life.
Her heroines are likeable too. Rene is an independent student used to taking care of herself. She pays her own tutions. Her only living parent, her father; barely cares for her existence, nor did her mother. I thought this book was going to be another little plot twisting story and the end. Plot twisting it was to the extend where the heroine is too independent and annoying.
To conclude, in this series (I've read two books so far) heroines and heroes has baby included.
I will leave 3 stars for the story and the hero. Deduction of the rest 2 stars is for the heroine and her inane behaviour.

Let Me Love you is the second book in Lily fosters Let Me series, much of this novel overlaps with the first book in the series “Let me Be the One” however you do not have to read either one to understand the other they can be read as standalone. This being said I would recommend that everyone read the whole series so far, reading them all does give the stories more substance, but are in no way necessary just really good.
I had trouble with this book, simply because I was able to relate so closely to the lead female character though most of the story I knew exactly how she felt and this gave the book a very real feel for me. This connection is one of the main reasons I recommend this book to everyone, I feel just about everybody will find a character they can relate to in this series.

First off I want to thank you for the copy I received 10-9-2014 from Goodreads giveaway! I was super excited and so ready to read my copy. I started and could not stop reading so needless to say I am very tired this morning. I truly loved the story and the fact that it was not an easy breezy romance, just like in our everyday life it is a struggle. I am about to start reading Book One that I downloaded! Thank you and I will have you on my list of great authors to continue to read!

WOW!!!
Loved Book One in this series, Let Me Be the One, but this story, in my opinion, blew it away. Its characters are more complex, there is definitely more of a roller coaster of emotions (tissues are recommended), and it is definitely a book that is more mature in content (translation: hot and steamy). Starting the next book, Let Me Go, tonight.

Very good book! Loved the characters, Rene and Caleb, they were fit for each other. So glad that they ended up back together after all they ended up going through. It was definitely a happly ever after!

I am writing reviews for this entire series because I LOVED it. Book two was sadder, more emotional, but more satisfying because of the dramatic twists and turns. I loved the character Rene and feel many of us in this age bracket can relate to her struggles. Caleb? The ultimate alpha male.

very good book. must read Let Me Be the One first as it leads in and gives a lot of the background story. Caleb and Rene's story is very tough in the beginning and they have a rocky start. I love the way he let's her be herself and takes Care of her at the same time. lovely story.

Again Ms Foster takes a spin at a New Adult story and throws some real world themes in there that really make for an enjoyable read. I think this series is going to be very interesting and I'm looking forward to taking it all in!

One of the most disgusting book I ever read in my life
First I like to start by saying this book started out kind of weak.However, I was like ok maybe it will get better. Well that didn’t happen, the book got worse and worse. There is no way in world I will pay money for a book that promotes this kind of message. (View spoiler Rene is having an abortion without even given it a second thought and then she is like I am sorry. For me this book had to end there . Like how can you redeem yourself from that. There is no excuse for her action. Also she didn’t even give the guy a chance to try to work it out together). I am so devastated about what I read even if I know is fiction. You are the worse author I’ve read so far I will for sure not ready any of your books again. I will give u a negative 1000 if I could.

Painful but so good
I gave a five star rating because I shed actual tears as I read this book. So sad but uplifting at the same time. Real in every sense of the word.

I loved it. Felt very connected to Rene. She had so many great qualities. A true survivor. And Caleb is up there with my favorite book boyfriends.

This is the second and final book in the series. This is the conclusion to the love story of Reeve, Viv and Dillion. This book is so well written that once you start you can’t stop reading. Viv’s heart has been broken by Dillion because she has declared her love for him, but with her return to LA for school Dillion sees it as a rejection. Dillion is convinced that if she really loved him she would stay in Ireland.
A broken Viv returns to LA to be surprised to find Reeve’s picking her up. Reeve’s disparate to salvage a relationship with her pull out all the stops to win her heart, even if it is too soon and too much for Viv to handle.

Her roommates brother, he has grown up with a tragic event, but a really good life and is comfortably wealthy. She has raised herself in the absence of a mom and having escaped a drunken father. At 25 to her almost 20 and still in college he sees himself too old for her. Year one has a really bad experience that is very well written. Year 2 is a rebuilding year. This is very well written. However, it is also very long. There is a lot of action in the first 2 years and then it jumps 5 years for another couple chapters of epilogue. The sex is very well written without a lot of biological details.

Oh my goodness I love Rene and Caleb's story. Yet again my heart spent most of the time aching as I read through the book. There were happy moments too, don't get me wrong. The characters are beautifully written and I felt like I was in there with them the whole way. Desperately hoping they would get to where I wanted them to. It's a brilliant world and I love getting deeper in to it. The stories in each book are interconnected in a way that gives you 'aha' moments, but it's not overwhelming or intrusive.

What starts out as a ‘roommates older brother ‘ romance quickly develops into an epic love affair, with highs, lows and everything in between. There’s heartbreak, secrets, sweet and sexy love scenes, and what feels like the story of a lifetime of love running through the book.
I enjoyed this book far more than I expected to. Definitely one to be recommended.
