It took me too long to wake up. I let life drag me, beat me, break me. I walked into hell with open arms, made choices that chained me to the worst consequences. Then I had the nerve to feel sorry for myself, as if I wasn't the one who put myself there. I was. This wasn't fate. There was no grand design, no cruel god twisting the knife. It was me. My own hands built the prison I rotted in. And the worst part? I let it happen. I let myself be used. I let myself be broken. I became something less than human. Shame wrapped around my throat like a noose, whispering that I was nothing. That I would always be nothing. But I wasn't made to be a victim. I had lived a whole life before this—a life of misery, of lies, of seeing people for what they really were. When I finally woke up, when I ripped off the chains, I didn't come back into the light. I stayed in the shadows. I learned to see the world for what it was—a cesspool of hidden sins and smiling liars. I had let monsters roam free. Not anymore. I no longer exist to be broken. I exist to break them. Now, I serve justice in the dark. I hunt.
For 28 years, I kept my stories to myself, using them as a way to make sense of life’s hardest moments and its quiet victories. Writing has always been my refuge and my passion. It is how I process the raw, uncomfortable truths that most people avoid. Now, I am finally sharing those stories with the world.
My writing is not for the faint of heart. I explore the parts of the human experience that are often left in the dark, including pain, loss, trauma, and survival. Every story includes a trigger warning because these narratives face difficult realities head-on. At the same time, they also reflect resilience, healing, and the strength it takes to keep going when everything feels broken.
Inspired by real life and mixed into dark fiction, my stories are emotional, intense, and deeply human. They examine themes of redemption, resilience, and the complicated nature of people and relationships. Each page is shaped by truth, experience, and imagination working together.
If you are drawn to stories that confront darkness while still leaving room for hope, you are in the right place. These are stories meant to be felt, not skimmed. Welcome to my world, where fiction feels real, and every word is written with intention.
I look forward to connecting with you as a reader, a fellow writer, and a fitness enthusiast, and sharing stories, inspiration, and a shared passion for growth and transformation.
Man this was hard to get through knowing this actually happens on a daily. To think I went to school to be a Crime Scene Investigator, not sure how long I would have actually made it once I had my girls of my own. But I absolutely LOVED the Dexter vibes!!
The audiobook I think Alyssa did an amazing job narrating. There were bits throughout the audio that went in and out, but overall great!
Man Hunt by Tina S. Transformation is an intense, edge-of-your-seat ride that delves deep into the world of vigilante justice. From the first page to the last, this story grips you with its dark atmosphere and raw emotional depth, weaving a narrative that’s as haunting as it is compelling.
The story is filled with sorrow, fury, and a sense of desperate justice, making it feel incredibly real. I found myself deeply empathizing with the characters, especially as they navigate their own pain and rage. You can almost feel the tension as you stand beside the Hunter, watching them carry out their brutal retribution on those who truly deserve it. It’s hard not to get caught up in the adrenaline and raw emotion that courses through every scene.
Overall, this book doesn’t hold back. It’s brutal, but in a way that feels earned and necessary for the emotional arc of the characters. You feel every punch, every moment of violence, and every shred of heartbreak. Man Hunt is a perfect example of vigilante justice done right—a raw, unflinching look at what happens when the law doesn’t deliver. If you're looking for something that will keep you on the edge of your seat and make you feel all the emotions, this book is definitely for you. In short, a masterpiece of tension, sadness, and vengeance. Highly recommend.
Man Hunt by Tina S. Transformation is a raw, powerful journey of self-destruction, awakening, and vengeance. Told with grit and emotion, it’s a fierce story about reclaiming power and finding purpose in the darkest places. A bold, unforgettable read.
Tina S Transformation has done it again! Thank you for the ARC for Man Hunt!
So many monsters slip through the "justice system" in this world. What would it take to push someone to seek out these monsters and dish out your own revenge. They say revenge is a dish best served cold (unlike stew which I do NOT have a craving for... if you know you know).
I was questioning my sanity as I plowed through this book. I found myself smiling when justice was starting to play out. And as it continued to take shape.
Man Hunt set to release May 29th! Make sure to check it out (after possibly checking the trigger warnings)!
Fantastic story of justice dished out to criminals who slip through the system, it’s a fast paced thriller with some very brutal elements, my first read by this author certainly won’t be the last.
If you like a short, fast-paced vigilante thriller then this is for you! The end came a little abruptly for me which is why I subtracted a star. Other than that, this book had me riveted.
I love a good vigilante thriller! I love revenge! Especially when the bad guys so often walk away with a slap on the hand and the punishment rarely seems equivalent to the crime.
I kept going back and forth in my mind as to who the hunter was. First I thought it was Lydia, then I thought it could be Cole. After awhile I realized there could be a third party at play, but still felt pretty strongly that it was Lydia. You'll have to read it and see if you can figure it out earlier than I did.
Thank you to Tina S Transformation for this advance read copy. All opinions are my own.
When justice fails, the hunter prevails. This gripping and heart wrenching story is a must read. It is incredibly raw and emotional, capturing me from the very first page and held my attention to the very end as I became emotionally invested. In this story, vigilante justice was not only done right, but it was simply necessary. As the hunter, hunts the ones that have slipped through the cracks, you are rooting for them the entire time & crossing your fingers that they do not get caught. I absolutely love Tina‘s writing style, this was my third read by her and I plan to finish her entire catalog. Check trigger warnings, but highly recommend!
I am grateful to have received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This was an entertaining read that was also quick and easy to read. The story dives right into the suspense, sharing a little bit of mystery along the way. I personally would have enjoyed more depth in the character and plot development to be further invested and interested in the story. It felt quite rushed for me. However, this style of feeling like you jump in, follow a story, and find your answer may be exactly what others love to read.
I loved this book right from the very first page. It was so well-written and had so much tension from the start.
When the justice system fails, I vigilante appears to exact the punishment the legal system couldn't.
I loved the multiple pov's of the story. All of the characters were well done. I would love to see more from the characters in this book and I think the ending, while not a cliffhanger by any means, definitely left the door open for a second book (we can hope!!).
I have read 8 of Tina's books (plus 6 anthologies she's part of) and have loved them all, but this is my new favorite by her!
If you have trigger warnings, check that before you read. I don’t, have I loved it. After reading books 300+ pages, it’s great to be able to pick up a short read but be well put together and not rushed to make you feel like you just read that long book. I did find some parts to be repetitive multiple times which is a personal annoyance or I would have rated it a 5 star.
4.5 stars. I won an audio copy of this and dove in almost blind. Tina asked me if I had any triggers and I let her know a certain type of abuse of children on page is my only one. she was like do I have the book for you, I take care of the people that harm kids in my books. I was sold instantly. I really enjoyed the vigilante justice.
What can I say, hmmm. That Tina is an awesome author, and ALWAYS has something up her sleeve. Meaning, you can always expect an exciting and suspenseful story when you pick up one of her books. This one in particular, is great! Do you also have anger in your heart towards those nasty creeps that like to hurt children?? Then hold on to your seat, pick up this read, and watch their fate play out!! I promise, no disappointments here!!!
This was such a fun taste of sweet revenge! The author spun a tale that made me feel every emotion in the book. Fear, anger, compassion, and grief. That takes true talent, and I can not wait to dive into more stories by Tina S Transformation.
I listened to the audiobook of this today and enjoyed the narrator. She really brought the story to life and walked us through the way the criminal investigation went.
The book overall was really good and is one that you’re not going to want to put down once you get started with it.
Tina's 'Man Hunt' is a vigilante's dream come true - but don't say I didn't warn you! This book is a real nail-biter, with a story that's full of twists and turns. While it's not perfect - I would have liked more character development, for one - it's still a wild ride that's sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.
I’ll admit the cover drew me in, but it wasn’t just the image. It was the positioning. The trail of blood, the cruiser parked at the edge of the shot, the empty road splitting the woods. The title font is bold, distressed, and pieced together like a ransom note. Jagged, uneven, mismatched. It looks torn from different sources and forced into place. The author’s name appears at the bottom in a smaller version of the same fractured style. It doesn’t feel designed. It feels unstable. Like the scene itself, something has already gone wrong. And then it hits you. You’re not just observing it. You’re in the car, just outside the frame. Headlights on. Engine idling. The scene is frozen, but you’re already part of it. That’s not just a good cover. That’s the entire story in metaphor.
And yes, this is a novella. It comes in under 200 pages, but nothing about it feels incomplete. Tina S. Transformation doesn’t waste a single sentence. There’s no warm-up and no time spent building a world you’ll never return to. She goes straight to the point. The pacing isn’t about speed for its own sake. It’s about emotional pressure. The violence that unfolds isn’t cinematic. It’s weight. What you’re reading isn’t a series of events. It’s what happens when consequence replaces justice.
The voice doesn’t ease in. It opens mid-confession, already wrecked and already done making excuses. “I walked into hell with open arms,” the narrator says, and nothing about it feels exaggerated. There’s no moral framing, no justification. Just someone who understands exactly what they allowed, and exactly what they’re about to become. It reads like a Batman origin stripped of myth and mask. No cape. No rules. Just a voice that has been broken and rebuilt into purpose. By the time she says, “I no longer exist to be broken. I exist to break them. Now, I serve justice in the dark. I hunt,” it no longer feels like a threat. It feels like truth. That is one heck of an internal manifesto.
The structure doesn’t waste time. The chapters are short. The sentences stripped to the bone. There’s no time for reflection, only movement. Decisions. Clean impact. It doesn’t slow down to let you think. It keeps going because the narrator already has. The restraint isn’t there to tease tension. It’s there because there’s no energy left for anything else. That’s what makes the story hit.
Some readers might want more time to settle in. More clarity. More room to ask why. But this story doesn’t wait for that. It doesn’t need to. This is fiction without a governor. The brakes are cut. There’s no turning back once it starts. I’ve written stories that drop the reader into the middle of collapse from page one. I know how hard that is to pull off. Tina doesn’t flinch. She strips the narrative down to its truth and holds it there.
Man Hunt isn’t just about vengeance. It’s about failure. In more states than not, the criminal justice system doesn’t just fall short. It collapses. It protects the wrong people, delays the inevitable, and leaves victims with nothing but the echo of what should have been done. And fiction like this, whether readers are ready for it or not, is what seeps through. Rage. Perseverance. Violence. That’s what fills the silence. This book doesn’t just ask what happens when justice fails. It asks what kind of silence we’re willing to live with when it does. Yes, I still admire that cover.
Man Hunt by Tina S Transformation is an absolute knockout! It’s a visceral plunge into the psyche of someone who refuses to stay broken. From the very beginning, the raw honesty of the narrator’s voice grabbed me by the throat and didn’t let go. This is not your typical revenge story…it’s much deeper, darker, and more complex!
I went in expecting a gritty revenge story—and don’t get me wrong, it totally delivers on that—but what I didn’t expect was the gut-punch I’d get from the insane twist in the end that flipped everything on its head. Seriously, about three-quarters through, something dropped that made me stop cold. I had to just sit there, blinking, trying to piece it all together. It hit so hard I almost went back to reread the whole thing from the beginning, just to see what I missed. And that’s the magic of this book—it’s layered, smart, and refuses to spoon-feed anything.
The writing is sharp and unflinching. The main character is raw and unapologetic. Every sentence feels intentional, every revelation earned. There’s no sugarcoating here—just a relentless pursuit of justice in the shadows. No pity parties. No hand-holding. Just a brutally honest inner monologue and a mission that’s as personal as it gets.
The vibe? Think moral grey meets street justice with a side of psychological warfare. The pacing is tight, the tone is sharp, and there’s this simmering tension the whole way through that never lets up. By the time the dust settles, you’re left wrecked, fired up, and weirdly inspired.
Tina S Transformation doesn’t just tell a story—she drags you into the darkness, flips the light switch at the worst possible moment, and dares you to look closer. If you’re into shadowy vengeance, hard truths, and twists that mess with your head in the best way—Man Hunt is your next obsession.
Okay, Man Hunt didn’t just wake me up—it grabbed me by the collar, threw me in the passenger seat, and sped off into the night with zero apologies. This book is gritty, bold, and absolutely electric from page one.
The story follows a person who’s been through hell—and not the polite, rom-com kind. We’re talking deep, dark, soul-splintering stuff. But instead of crumbling, they transform (see what I did there?) into something fierce. They don’t just survive—they hunt. And honestly? I was cheering them on like a one-person fan club with pom-poms made of vengeance.
Tina’s writing style is sharp and punchy, with just the right amount of emotional depth and edge. The pacing? Perfect. Not a single lull—every chapter hits hard. And the character development? Whew. You feel their evolution in your bones. This isn’t some overnight glow-up—it’s a raw, bloody rebirth.
If you’re into stories where the broken person doesn’t just rise but burns it all down, grab this one. It’s dark, it’s empowering, and it’s a full-on adrenaline shot to the heart. And, that ending? I sure didn’t see that coming. Justice has never looked so dangerous.
I allowed myself to be used and fall apart. I don't recognise myself anymore. I am nothing, and I let the monsters be free to commit their sick and twisted crimes.
I HAD to break this vicious cycle and wake up!!! But not into the light, no - the dark is far better for my plans...
The dark is where I hide, hunt, and serve justice. These sicko's have it coming. They need to be held accountable. The 'law' won't do it.
So I will.
This story had me literally on the edge of my chair sometimes! It's brutal and very intense. It's about regaining control and jumping deep into the world of justice - vigilante style.
So many criminals fall through the system and 'reappear' to carry on their depravity. This story is an eye-opener for sure, and I found myself cheering for the cause!!
Tina's narrative is extremely descriptive and heart-wrenching - I felt like I was right there in some scenes, holding my breath.
😯 Man Hunt grabbed me from the first page and sucked me in!
There are 3 POVs which makes this book a really fast page turner. I kept wanting to see what the others was thinking and feeling. The chapters are short which I love and I did not figure out the ending.
This was an intense read with lots vigilante justice when the "system" fails. Even though the punishment dealt was very extreme, I felt it was well deserved!
Another part I love that all the trigger warnings are in the very beginning of the book, and in full size print, when I saw this, I thought to myself, nice, the author Tina S. Transformation really cares about her readers. This releases 5-29! I will definitely be reading more of her books!!!
Man Hunt by Tina S. Transformation 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟(4.5 rounded up) This is a deep, dark and intense story! It’s fast paced and full of action from start to to finish! This story focuses on vengeance and taking justice into your own hands when you are forced to. This book is full of heart, brutality and raw emotions! It’s a very well written story! Instead of lying down to die, you hunt!
I was lucky to listen to the new audio version and the narration was good! Some of the audio seemed to be cutting in and out, but good overall.
*Check out this book for an entertaining and action packed read!*
I was fortunate enough to read this book as an ARC reader. If you like vigilante justice, people getting what is deserved - this may be for you. Please not that Tina does add trigger warnings to the beginning of the book - keep those in mind if when you start.
The story is told by different perspectives, you may think at the very beginning or even towards a quarter in that you know who did it, but you may be surprised at the end. Honestly, I got it wrong! This book is not predictable like some may think. Go ahead read it, judge for yourself.
Man Hunt is a dark thriller, fast paced, haunting & intense story. It’ll grip you from the first page till the last! And you’ll be tense as you keep turning the pages! It’ll have your adrenaline pumping. This story of justice will keep you on the edge of your seat. Justice was definitely done right, even when justice fails. It’s so tense, brutal and raw! & full of revenge. So well written and will easily suck you in!
Man Hunt is an intense read that warrants reading the triggers first before getting into. I love it when someone takes justice into their own hands. Sometimes, the justice system doesn't work the way we need it to. And that's when we really need some sort of vigilante to step in and take matters into their own hands to give families peace. And that's exactly what happened here! This one was my favorite read by Tina so far. The anger I felt for those children was literally burning my chest. I loved the direction this story took. I recommend checking this one out.
I’ve read almost everything by Tina, and I’ve got to say this one has got to be my top favorite. The way she brings out the raw emotion through her stories, so real and heart wrenching, is nothing short of powerful. If you are looking for a good vigilante justice thriller then you really can’t beat this one. This book is bold and gritty and keeps you trapped inside its pages. Highly recommend for those who love a good fast paced read that keeps your heart racing.
This book has you have so many emotions running through you. I felt mad as children were being hurt and being taken from their family and at the unjust justice system we have but in the same time that's all we have to rely on for the victims. This twist at the end shocked me. I thought it was someone totally different.
I’m not sure why everyone was so mad at Cole like he was responsible for any of it.
Absolutely despicable to think there are so many monsters out there but there are and absolutely no one would be upset by the outcome of these particular monsters.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to arc read this novella
