Sterling Family Crossover #2

Just a Little Desire

Rate this book
I wasn’t the type of woman who indulged in one night stands, but the irresistible Liam Powers managed to charm me right into his bed. By morning, he was gone, leaving me to wonder if our night together had been nothing more than a dream. . . until he showed up at my office a few weeks later, a wealthy investor interested in infusing cash into our struggling family business.

Liam Powers might be the man I needed to save our company, but I wasn’t about to fall for his flirtatious charm a second time. Not when I had so much to lose . . . including my heart to a man who had no intentions of settling down.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sexy, Smart, and Emotionally Satisfying – Just a Little Desire
Erika Wilde | A Sterling Family Crossover Novel, Book 2

Just a Little Desire is a polished, addictive blend of second-chance romance, workplace tension, and emotional vulnerability—the kind of story that pulls you in with heat and keeps you invested with heart.

Morgan is a heroine who feels grounded and real: intelligent, driven, and fiercely protective of her family’s tech company. Her “one reckless night” with Liam Powers isn’t out of character so much as a crack in the armor—and when he reappears as the investor who might save everything she’s worked for, the emotional stakes skyrocket. The tension between professionalism and desire is deliciously done.

Liam is exactly the kind of hero Erika Wilde excels at writing: confident, wealthy, and undeniably sexy on the surface—but layered with depth, restraint, and carefully guarded secrets underneath. His chemistry with Morgan crackles from their first scene together, and their banter during late-night work sessions and business travel makes the slow unraveling of their defenses feel natural and earned.

What really elevates this book is how it balances steam with emotional consequence. The Vegas trip isn’t just a backdrop for passion—it’s where Liam’s softer side emerges and where Morgan begins to question the rules she’s built her life around. When secrets and betrayal surface, the conflict cuts deep, forcing both characters to confront what trust truly means.

This is a romance about risk—risking your heart, your future, and the belief that someone who once walked away might be worth believing in again.

Just a Little Desire is sexy, smart, and emotionally engaging—a standout entry that proves desire is easy, but love is worth fighting for. 💫.

This is the second book in this crossover series, and this is Liam and Morgan’s story.
Liam and Morgan meet in a bar, and after a 1-night stand, Liam is gone by morning, until a few weeks later he shows up wanting to infuse cash into Morgan’s family’s struggling business.
This is a well written easy to read story, with family, friendships, emotion s, office romance, drama, suspense, business rivals, humour, witty banter, palpable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, light-hearted, and fun addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from these talented authors’ whose work I highly recommend.

Morgan and Liam were everything together. Both come into the relationship carrying their own baggage, and I loved how that vulnerability was handled with honesty and care. Their ability to blend the professional and personal sides of their lives felt natural and well done, never forced.
The chemistry is there from the very start, and Liam is a total walking green flag—supportive, emotionally aware, and completely swoon-worthy. This book perfectly balances heart, heat, and humor, making it impossible not to get pulled into their story. Entwining, sexy, and genuinely heartfelt—an easy five stars for me.

Just a Little Desire by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde was a steamy, fun read that I enjoyed reading. Liam and Morgan had great chemistry from the moment they met and I loved seeing these two together, both personally and professionally. Another great story in this series and looking forward to reading more in the future.

Liam's so happy for his brother - marrying the love of his life. But Liam and weddings don't mix thanks to an awful breakup, so he sneaks out of the wedding to a bar, and meets a fascinating, beautiful Morgan. They spend the most amazing night together, but he snuck out before she woke up. It was supposed to be just one night, and it would have (even though he hasn't stopped thinking of her since) but for the fact that his angel investment company is investing in her family's company. Now he and Morgan are working closely together to get her company's product launched, and their chemistry is getting in the way of their professionalism and he's having a very hard time keeping his hands off her.

Now that Morgan's being faced with the man who left her with regrets, she knows one thing - she's not about to give Liam a chance to hurt her again. She can work with him while they launch her company's product, then he'll be gone, and she'll be fine. Right? Wrong. She didn't count on their chemistry to overtake both their good sense, and to do away with any sense of restraint. They're working on developing their relationship, but he's keeping something secret that has the potential of ruining everything.

I love Morgan and Liam's ons to forever story. Their chemistry is Kindle melting hot, and the way they get past each other's walls was heartfelt and sweet. Whenever Carly and Erika co-write, I know I'm in for something great, and they outdid themselves this time. I can't wait for the next Sterling Family crossover next.

Just A Little Desire is book 2 in the Sterling Family Crossover and follows Liam Powers, brother in law to Fallon Sterling, as he learns to trust and love again with the most unlikely woman.

Years ago, Liam was engaged and she broke his heart. He decided then to never love another woman. Never have feelings. If you do, you just get your heart broken. He has held on to that for five long years. Since leaving Wall Street, and going into business with his brother, Simon, as Angel investors, his lifestyle has changed. He no longer works the super long hours as he did on Wall Street. But he has not changed his mind about falling love.

Morgan lost her mother at a young age. Her father fell in love with Faith and married her. In turn, Morgan gained a brother, Parker. Her father started a tech company, GalvaTech, and it has always been family owned and run. She always knew she would work for the company. When she went to college, she majored in Marketing. She also met someone while at college, who ended up breaking her heart. She thought they were building a relationship, but he was only interested in hooking up when he felt the need. She doubts her self worth and no longer trusts men.

Liam escapes his brother, Noah's, wedding reception. Because of his past, he is just done and needs to leave. He walks to a bar where he can have a drink where no one knows him. He never expects to meet a woman who will turn his world upside down and inside out.

When her sister in laws card is declined, Morgan makes her way to the bar to pay the tab. But the gentleman sitting next to her felt bad and covered the bill for the group. They start talking and he buys her a drink. Next thing we know, they are leaving the bar together. One night. First names only. The best night of her life.

Liam has never forgotten Morgan since their one night together, but he never thought he would see her again. Until one fateful day.

Liam and Simon are working out the final contract with Samuel, the owner of GalvaTech. When he sees a woman approaching, he is shocked to see who it is. But Morgan is even more shocked. Especially when she learns the terms of the contract and that Liam will be onsite through the launch of their huge new product.

Morgan does not want anyone to know about their one night stand. She is uber professional with Liam at the office. But one night out with her best friend will change things between her and Liam.

Stolen moments are coveted. Because of their working relationship, they cannot afford to let anyone know they are seeing each other. It makes things tricky, but they both are trying to build something important.

But when Simon finds some questionable information and shows it to Liam, they decide not to say anything until they have more information. Will this "lie of omission" cost him everything he has ever wanted? Will Morgan understand why he did what he did?

Since both Liam and Morgan have baggage regarding relationships, it was nice to see them try to take things slow. Their bodies are on board, but their hearts are still mending and they need time to get to know each other.

Liam is scared that he will repeat the mistakes he made in the past. This is totally understandable. But I love that Morgan overhears his phone conversation and reassures him that he is not making the same mistakes. These two are really trying to communicate and make things work.

I respect that Morgan was upset with Liam about the news he dropped on her and how long he had suspected something. But when she decided she needed to find out the truth, and was sadly disappointed, my respect increased tenfold. She confronted the problem. Then she confronted the bearer of bad news and told him everything.

Morgan is a strong woman who can make her own decisions. She is a very capable businesswoman and does not shy away from professional challenges. She is organized and prepared and ready to roll. She wants answers to questions and solutions to problems and she will take the bull by the horn to get things done.

*An advance reader copy was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.*

Liam Powers escaped his brother Noah’s (Just One More Temptation) wedding and finds himself in a bar, trying to decompress. Morgan Starling is there with a bunch of girlfriends, celebrating her 26th birthday. When Morgan goes up to the bar to see what’s taking her sister-in-law so long to pay the check, she finds out that the handsome stranger (Liam) at the bar paid for their tab when her sister-in-law’s card was declined. Morgan thanks him, and he invites her to stay for a drink.

You could see the electricity between them. One drink leads to them leaving the bar together, going to the hotel across the street, and giving in to their desires. Liam needs the release from what’s going on in his head. After an amazing night, Morgan wakes up alone. Liam didn’t even leave a note.

“She made me feel… something again.”

Fast forward two weeks, Liam and his brother, Simon, are meeting with GalvaTech’s CEO and lead designer at their offices, when Liam sees the one woman he can’t get out of his head, Morgan. The brothers are there as angel investors to help the company push out their newest product and make the company competitive in the market. Morgan is stunned to see Liam meeting with her dad and stepbrother, but when introduced, she pretends they are just meeting for the first time. And then she finds out that Liam will be taking a more active role in GalvaTech on a daily basis, I really thought her head was going to explode.

What started as a one-night stand turns into so much more. I love that Morgan tried to resist Liam’s charming personality for as long as she could. I mean, it was her family’s company at stake. They are capable of being professionals around one another. Although when they finally gave into their feelings, it just felt right. Now they just had to figure out how to tell Morgan’s dad and stepbrother and Liam’s brother without it causing too much of a messy situation.

And then there’s the ‘big’ thing that Liam was keeping from Morgan, until he and Simon could get to the bottom of it. Plus, he knew about it before they went to Vegas and got together. Morgan had all rights to be angry. But honestly, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise for her family. Now Morgan just has to find it in herself to see that Liam never wanted to hurt her and her family but only had their best interests in mind before they blew up her world (if that’s what it really came down to).

I’m a huge fan of both Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde. I love how they incorporate related characters from one of Carly’s series into their shared books. It opens up a whole new world. And amazing possibilities… especially if the characters ever find themselves in San Diego or Vegas (Wilde’s The Player’s Club series). I’m always looking forward to their next story, as they are always spicy, witty and heartfelt.

Phillips and Wilde deliver a second chances and new beginnings romance in Just a Little Desire. This steamy romance will leave you rooting for the characters until the very end.

In this story we are introduced to Liam Powers, a wealthy investor who co-owns an Investment Firm with his brother. His fascination with other businesses and helping them succeed is what makes him happy. So, Liam is taken aback when they are visiting their newest investment company, only to find out that the woman he slept with a few ago happens to be the owner’s daughter. Morgan Starling has become part of his permanent thoughts ever since they met at a bar followed by an incredible one-night stand that he hasn’t stopped thinking about ever since. But Liam refuses to give out his heart again, especially after the bad breakup that’s left him second guessing his actions when it comes to finding love again. Yet, his unexpected connection with Morgan is what makes him wonder if he can truly let someone else in without leaving his heart broken again.

Morgan Starling isn’t the type to have one-night stands, but it’s her birthday and she is ready to see where the night takes her. Only for her to end up having a passionate night with a handsome stranger and her heart broken after finding him gone the next morning. A reminder to never confuse sex with something more quickly settles in as Morgan recalls how her previous relationship ended. Nevertheless, she refuses to think about Liam Powers no matter how strong their chemistry was. Little did she know that her live was about to change forever the minute she walks into work at GalvaTech, only to find out that Liam happens to be their new investor. It would be working with him closely that ultimately brings them back together, but Morgan stars to wonder if Liam truly wants her in his future for good or if she’s just another temporary woman in his life.

I absolutely loved reading Just a Little Desire, the chemistry between the characters is off-the-charts and relatable. It’s evident that they have pasts to overcome, but they are able to lean on each other in order to find happiness. I loved how we got to see characters from previous books make cameos in the story. If you like a good romance with a bit of a twist at the end, then I would highly recommend checking out this book. I cannot wait to read the next books in the series! :)

Just a Little Desire was by far one of my favorite books so far from Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde. I was pulled into the story right from the beginning and absolutely loved the characters. Morgan and Liam both had experiences in their past that caused them both to put up walls. When they meet at the bar and spend an amazing night together neither one expects to see the other again. However, fate has other plans when Liam ends up as an investor in Morgan's family company. The chemistry between the two of them was off the charts and you could feel their connection radiating off the pages. The story flowed at the perfect pace for me and the added drama towards the end really had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen and how everything was going to work out. The writing was phenomenal and I definitely can't wait to get my hands on the next book. A must read book for sure!-By Alisa

Holly Molly this book was amazing!!! I was hooked by the first chapter. I love a good book that will have me on the edge of my seat waiting for the other shoe to drop and this book did just that. I couldn’t put this book down until I reached the end. I love a good contemporary billionaire romance with an MMC that doesn’t believe in love anymore and an FMC that feels the same way with how their past experiences left them. I loved the slow-burning relationship and the instant connection and the undeniable chemistry they had for each other. I enjoyed their push and pull while fighting their feelings plus the grovel and swoon was a chef’s kiss. The drama, angst, and spice were spot on in this book too. Carly Phillips and Erica Wilde are amazing authors and have created an exciting and intriguing world and filled it with complex and intriguing characters. This book is part of a series and this is the first book I’ve read out of this series, but I’m going back and diving into the Sterling Family series!!!

Liam is broody, guarded, and commanding. I enjoyed his instant possessiveness and obsession with Morgan. Morgan was independent and a little guarded too. They were definitely a powder keg just about to explode and when it did it was spectacular!!! I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series!!-by Brooke

Loved the story! Couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Liam and Morgan was incredible. Their inner struggles made it all the more realistic. I thoroughly enjoyed it!-4.5 stars- Amanda

It’s always fun when two authors come together to show off their nice and naughty sides so that we get to have a lot of fun reading an unexpected romance between two people that never saw one another coming. Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde always come together in an amazing way to bring us fabulous stories and this newest addition to the Sterling Crossover family is even more outstanding for us when a one-night stand turns into a life-changing relationship. Liam Powers gave up on relationships and happily-ever after a long time ago and when he escapes his brothers disgustingly happy wedding and finds himself at a bar, he has no problem deciding to pick up the sexy birthday girl for one night of outstanding sex. Morgan Starling woke alone after the night with Liam where she was afraid she’d almost lost her heart and despite being angry that he’d just disappeared she was determined to just move on. But neither of them is prepared when their lives crash together again because Liam has just signed a contract that makes them essentially business partners for the next year and they are going to be in one another’s pockets the entire time. Liam cannot resist the pull he feels toward Morgan, and despite not believing in relationships, he does believe in their chemistry and is determined to show her how good they can be together, even though it will open be temporary. Morgan feels the pull just as much, but the more time they spend together, the more she feels for Liam and wants to be more to him than just the woman he lusts after. Can they finally both let go of their past pain to find a chance at a future and what happens when a business secret threatens to come between their new budding relationship?

Reading this story was like watching an emotional roller coaster loaded with lust, fear, and chemistry between two people that had both been hurt previously and needed to let go of their pasts in order to move forward. Liam had been hurt by his previous fiancé and its obvious that he took far too much responsibility on his shoulders for her hurtful decisions. I would have loved to have seen him accept that he wasn’t the one to blame her choices and that he was worth being loved and having the devotion of a genuinely loving partner. Morgan has similarly been hurt by previous lovers, but thankfully she knows her wroth and refuses to accept anything less from Liam than his utter devotion and full attention when they are together, even if she accepts that she won’t get to keep him long term. But when he finally accepts that they are meant to be together, losing his heart to Morgan to the point that he is almost willing to forfeit his company security to protect her. The passion and chemistry between these to is obviously from the beginning until the end, but the laughter and love they brought along with it made their romance even better. I am looking forward to more Crossover stories in this series so that we can see hints of this series and continue to meet more side characters that we might have missed in the original Sterling Series. Carly and Erika always make it a sexy adventure as they take us through the fun and games of new romances and I can’t wait for more.

JUST A LITTLE DESIRE is the second instalment in the contemporary, adult STERLING FAMILY CROSSOVER erotic, romance series set in the numerous interconnected Dare, Kingston and Sterling family worlds, co-authored by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde. This is angel investor Liam Powers, and twenty-six year old, marketing director Morgan Starling’s story line. JUST A LITTLE DESIRE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Liam and Morgan) JUST A LITTLE DESIRE follows in the wake of a much needed investment into the Starling family owned business GalvaTech but much to their surprise Morgan Starling had a one night stand with investor Liam Powers, a man who ghosted our heroine the morning after. Working side by side brought our couple closer to together but a deeper dive into GalvaTech reveals there is more than meets the eye.

The world building focuses on the survival of the family owned business but a survival that hides a deeper, darker secret. Struggling to remain professional, Liam and Morgan will give in to their attraction but a perceived betrayal may break them apart.

The relationship between Liam and Morgan begins as a one-night stand that within weeks becomes a professional arrangement to save the Starling owned GalvaTech. Both having been hurt in the past, neither Liam or Morgan are looking for their own happily ever after but the heart wants something the mind doesn’t comprehend. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters are colorful and energetic. We are introduced to Morgan’s father Samuel, step- brother Parker and his wife Becca, as well as Liam’s brother Simon.

JUST A LITTLE DESIRE is a story of betrayal, family and friendships, forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is captivating and engaging; the romance is seductive; the characters are determined.

Just a Little Desire was such a fun, addictive read — it honestly had everything: great characters, undeniable chemistry, emotional depth, and just the right touch of suspense.

Both Liam and Morgan carry emotional scars from past relationships. Liam’s world fell apart when he discovered his fiancée had been cheating and called off their wedding just three weeks before the big day.

Morgan, on the other hand, spent years loving someone who never returned her feelings, only to watch him move on almost immediately into a serious relationship.

Hurt and guarded, they both decide serious relationships just aren’t worth the risk anymore.

Their first meeting is pure fate. Liam leaves his brother’s wedding early and ends up at a bar where Morgan is celebrating her birthday with her friends.
One seat at the bar, one conversation later, the chemistry is instant and undeniable. They agree to a no-strings night at the hotel across the road . but Liam panics, overwhelmed by unexpected feelings, and leaves Morgan alone the next morning, reopening old wounds and fears of not being enough.

When fate steps in again, Liam and his brother Simon , angel investors , attend a final meeting with Gavatech… only for Morgan to walk into the boardroom as the company’s Director of Marketing and the daughter of its owner.

The tension is immediate, the chemistry still burning, and Liam knows he owes her a heartfelt apology.

What follows is a beautifully paced romance as they slowly let their guards down, get to know each other beyond physical attraction, and confront their past hurts together. I loved the balance between their professional lives and personal growth, as well as the honesty, communication, and mutual respect that develops between them.

Flirty, fun, emotionally satisfying, and just a little suspenseful — Just a Little Desire completely won me over.

Morgan is out celebrating her 26th birthday with her besties when she meets 32 year old Liam Powers at the bar. A little flirting quickly turns into a night Morgan would never forget. She thought they had something real but when Morgan woke up in the morning, Liam was gone.

Turns out Liam doesn't do relationships since three years ago when his ex-fiance Ivy cheated on him and left him weeks before the wedding. But in the case of Morgan, Liam ran scared because he was feeling real feelings for her.

Liam and his brother Simon run an investment company that comes in and helps financially struggling companies that they believe are the worth the rescue. Their next company is GalvaTech, which just happens to be owned by Morgan's father. Her stepbrother Parker is the CTO and Morgan is the Marketing Director! What a small world.

Morgan and Liam both feel they can work together professionally without crossing the lines AGAIN but of course late nights, closely working together and a work trip to Las Vegas change all that. Before they know it something has shifted in their relationship and they both realize there is something very real happening here.

Just when it looks like a happy ending, Liam uncovers some damaging information and has to figure out how to tell Morgan. Everything blows up and the dust doesn't seem to want to settle. Once all the secrets are revealed, Morgan and Liam find themselves back together in a beautiful way. In the end these two find their perfect ending even after all the heartaches in their past.

I just adored this steamy, emotional love story. Having both been burned in their past love lives it was wonderful seeing these two get their happy ending. Liam was such a sweet, thoughtful guy and just the type that Morgan deserved. This couples chemistry was off the charts. Great read that I just couldn't put down.

Just a Little Desire (A Sterling Family Crossover Novel Book 2) by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde is a romance about Liam Powers, a partner and co-owner of an investment firm, and Morgan Sterling, the marketing executive of her family’s Galva Tech, which specializes in innovative technology. Liam left his brother Noah’s wedding and went to a nearby bar to have a drink, trying to forget painful memories of his ex, when he met Morgan, who was ordering drinks to settle the bar bill during her birthday celebration with friends. Striking up a conversation after realizing that Liam had already paid for their party’s bar bill, but discovering an instant, electrifying attraction that flared so intensely, they decided to leave the bar together to go to a nearby hotel. The next day, Morgan awoke to an empty room as Liam ghosted her without even a goodbye, though she thought they both felt a connection. A few weeks later, Morgan and Liam are both shocked to see each other at Galva Tech’s meeting, where the very same Liam co-owns an investment firm that hopes to invest in their new portable car charger so it can be produced and sold. They initially decide to remain strictly professional and ignore their attraction, but that lasts only until they find themselves working closely together. Feelings begin to develop, and boundaries get blurred despite emotional scars from past relationships. However, their passionate relationship remains hidden until after the new product launches, leading to undisclosed secrets about Galva Tech. These secrets cause explosive revelations that could not only derail Liam and Morgan's romance but also have a long-term impact on Morgan’s family. Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde know how to create suspense in a love story that ultimately ends with a satisfying HEA.

Just a Little Desire is the second book of A Sterling Family Crossover Novel. It can be read as a standalone book but has short references to previous characters.

Liam has become a love them and leave them bachelor since his ex-fiancée left him three weeks before their wedding after 3 years of dating. Morgan had been in what she thought was a serious relationship toward the end of her college years, but then she learned she had been a handy booty call until he found the perfect woman to get serious with. Now she turns down everyone who she doesn't feel a special chemistry and spark with.

Neither expected anything special to come from their one-night stand but some great chemistry and good sex. Liam got nervous about how good the night was and left without a goodbye. Morgan feels like what she had thought was a special connection was just another night of sex she misinterpreted.

Morgan goes back to her family business nervous about the two angel investors their family is looking to bring on to help a new launch and grow their business even more. Guess who shows up? Liam and his brother. Now Morgan and Liam are supposed to work closely for months to bring a new product to the market and sell the one-of-a-kind item to the electric car users of the world. Liam knows he messed up with Morgan from how she responds when she sees him. He can't risk the three million they are investing with her family. Morgan isn't about to be taken advantage of a second time and tries to distance herself. Too bad they both still feel the physical attraction neither can deny for long.

They will have to find a way to work together, but can they continue to fight the attraction they have anytime they spend time together? Can the risks they will both be taking with their businesses handle a relationship of any kind but friendship? Enjoy this sexy, steamy read to find out.

A one night stand with no expectations, leads to trouble for Morgan. She's not the one night stand type but on her 26th Birthday and a night out with her friends she meets a man who sparks something in her she hasn't ever felt. It's what she's been looking for that connection with someone but after a night that exceeds Morgan's wildest fantasies he is gone when she wakes.

Liam Powers doesn't do commitments or relationships after a seriously back break up several years ago just weeks before the wedding. After spending an evening celebrating his brother and new wife's wedding he can't take all the happiness and sneaks out of the reception. He heads to the nearest bar looking for some companionship. He finds exactly what he is looking for but after spending the night with Morgan it's more than he was expecting and sneaks out before she wakes.

Next thing he knows she is walking into the business meeting where he and his brother are looking to invest into the family company. Both are shocked to see the other never thinking they would see each other again. Fate has other ideas. This instant connection and spark just isn't going away. Then Liam uncovers a dark secret within the company but how does he break the news to the woman he is falling for. After years of not believing in love, Morgan is opening his heart to see there can be a life built on love and trust. Now he has to expose this information and she feels betrayed. But after she digs deeper and sees Liam is telling the truth they find their way to a solution as well as finding a way to come together and find that elusive happily ever after that everyone talks about.

Great book!! Enjoyed Liam and Morgan story both Carly and Erika really know how to write a book, it kept me reading for hours.

Unexpected surprises

Once again Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde have delivered a story I couldn't put down. JUST A LITTLE DESIRE, Sterling Family Crossover #2, was a one night stand, instant attraction, office romance, which had flirtatious and witty banter, scintilating chemistry, and sizzling heat. It is a story of two people who no longer believe in love or permanent relationships.

Liam Powers and Morgan Starling wear the emotional scars of relationships that ended messily. They both have built high walls around themselves, but when they meet their attraction to each other is palpable. A drink in a bar and some light conversation leads to one steamy night together. the next morning Liam leaves before Morgan awakes never expecting to see her again.

It's not long before fate steps in and Liam and Morgan are brought together when Liam enters into a partnership with her family's business. Both are shocked to see each other again. Will they be able to maintain a professional relationship, or will their chemistry be too hard to ignore? I adored Liam and Morgan, their banter was light and fun, they took time to learn about each other, indoing that they healed each other of the pain they carried. A business trip to Las Vegas has them admitting their feelings. but everything turns upside down when thy return home. Secrets are revealed and loyalty is tested, will they be able to move past the drama to find their happiness?

JUST A LITTLE DESIRE was an engaging and entertaining story. There was the perfect balance of emotions, huour, drama, and suspense. A terrific addition to the series. I look forward to the next book.

This is the second book in the Sterling Family Crossover. In this story, we meet Liam who is Fallon Sterling’s brother in law and then Morgan. On the night of Morgan’s birthday party she meets Liam at a bar and goes back to a hotel room with them. They spend the night together and they have an instant connection. However he panics and leaves before she wakes up and she has a flash back to when it happened to her in the past. They both are scared because it felt so much more than just a one night stand hook up. As time goes on, neither one couldn’t get that night out of their mind. Then one day Liam comes to her family’s company to work on a project and they see each other for the first time. It’s awkward for both of them, but they brush it off and act professional. Then as time goes on they have to work side by side on the project and the sparks start flying and they try ton ignore them. However, they are not able to and their relationship starts to grow. They both start opening their minds and hearts to each other.
When something starts happening and he keeps a huge secret from her, it makes them hit a bump in the road. However they over come it and it makes them stronger.
I really enjoyed this book and while it was a quick read, it didn’t feel like it. It allowed everything to work together and the story to flow very well. It didn’t feel like it was missing anything if anything it brought you into the story! I recommend this book and honestly all of the Sterling Family books!

This was a fun quick read with a low amount of angst and characters that keep you turning the pages to see what it will take for them to get their HEA.

I really liked Liam and Morgan. Both are committed to their families and are all in when it comes to their careers. They both had relationships that ended badly but they went in opposite directions when it came to how they wanted their futures to look like, which made their first collision start off great, but end in a way that made their next collision a bit awkward (understatement). Now, while I was totally Team Morgan, I have to say that Liam did make a huge impression by stepping up to the plate and apologizing for his…well…cowardice for running away. While they attempt to keep things “professional”, it doesn’t last all that long since neither can truly stop thinking about the other and finally give in.

I’m pretty sure I’ve stated this in most of my reviews when it comes to any books that I’ve read by these authors, but I really need a family tree. Thankfully, Liam mentioned his nieces Dylan and Dakota and the light bulb went off and figured out where he belonged. As I said at the start, this is a quick read, with little angst between the MMC & FMC. But there is an outside situation that does bring in a little drama that may be triggering for some ~ and no, it’s not OW/OM drama. So if you’re looking for a read to help you escape for a couple hours, one click this baby.

This is Liam and Morgan's story. Liam, who has a troubled history with weddings, meets a wonderful woman at a bar. Despite hitting it off immediately with charming banter and undeniable chemistry, he has no interest in pursuing things further.

Morgan has had no luck with men and has become guarded and a bit skittish; it has affected her judgment when it comes to men and their motives, but so, too, did meeting Liam that fateful night, when she thought her luck had changed.

Do you believe in fate and second Chances? Fate brings them together again, and their passion and chemistry cannot be denied, but their reunion comes with many complications.

As Liam overcomes his past hurts and opens up to Morgan, their connection deepens. The same goes for Morgan, and Liam soon realizes how he wounded this woman with his previous actions. The characters in this story were great and interesting, and some of them easy-to-love others made you laugh.

This was a delightful read with wonderful characters, some mystery and suspense, healing and moving on, passion, banter, flirty and fun, undeniable chemistry, family, and friends, and cameo characters from previous books. We loved it, we felt we wore a smile on our faces the entire story. The ending was the best. enjoyed the way these authors ended their story; it was absolutely perfect.

Liam Powers didn’t believe in love anymore. His fiancé left him. He is happy that his brother Noah found happiness. Morgan Starling is celebrating her 26th birthday. She certainly didn’t expect to meet a handsome man in a tux at the bar. These two have one incredible night. But was that all? When these two meet again, it’s Liam’s company investing in her company. But they need to stay focused. Morgan has broken through Liam’s defenses. I wants more with her. Morgan isn’t about to be used.

These two both have a past that shattered them. Now moving forward, they both have to make changes. Liam was so jaded from his relationship with Ivy. Thank goodness for Noah. He needed to realize that his relationship to her and the breakup was not his doing. Morgan was great at her job. Her ex was a nothing story. He was a jerk. It’s when we get to the meat of the story, embezzlement. That is when things almost fall apart. Thank goodness Morgan has her head on straight. She thinks things through logically. I felt saddened by who was at fault. But things were fixed. And Morgan and Liam held together. We really need to find someone for Simon. He keeps going through assistance. There has to be one woman out there that can make him come to a complete stop.

Finding Love Again!

"Just a Little Desire," the second book in the Sterling Family Crossover series, and I loved it! Both Liam and Morgan have had their fair share of heartbreak in the past, and surprisingly, neither of them was on the lookout for love.

Their first meeting is pretty special—it happens after Liam left his brother's wedding, which also happens to be Morgan's birthday! She’s out having a blast with her friends at a bar when they strike up a conversation. What starts off as a chance encounter turns into an unforgettable night, but they only exchange first names and don’t plan on seeing each other again.

Fast forward a few weeks, and fate steps in! Liam’s company is investing in Morgan’s family business, meaning they’ll be working closely together. Even though they both try to resist their attraction, it’s clear that their connection is undeniable.

Liam is haunted by memories of past mistakes, worried that he’ll once again put his work before his relationships. But as he gets to know Morgan, he realizes he wants to approach things differently this time around.

This was my first taste of the Sterling Family world, and I’m officially hooked! I can’t wait to dive into more books in this world. Bring on the next one!

When Liam Sterling bails on his brother's wedding reception to hit a bar and try to ignore memories of his own failed almost-wedding, he has no idea he's about to meet the woman who will change everything for him. Morgan Starling is celebrating her birthday with friends and a chance meeting with Liam leads to an instant connection and an incredible night- but he ghosts her before morning. Weeks later Liam is the surprise investor meeting with her family and offering to help the family company she loves.

A work-place, second-chance romance, "Just a Little Desire" is a lovely mix of sweet and heat. The connection between Liam and Morgan is instant. Both have been hurt by love before and it was good to see how they react differently to the experience: Liam shutting off all possibility of falling in love, Morgan being guarded but willing to try if it's the right guy. Liam is terrified of his emotions and watching him go through changes and come to terms with love was a tough but great journey. When trouble at work makes it look like Liam may betray Morgan, I thought the scenes were both realistic and proof of their true feelings.

A great book about learning to take chances on loving again- sweet, spicy, and fun to read!

,i>4 She’s Really Off Limits Stars!

I’m loving this crossover series and in this second book we have Liam and Morgan’s story. On the night they meet, Moran is out celebrating her birthday and she caps it off with a night of steamy passion with Liam whom she doesn’t know anything about and when she wakes up the next morning, she realizes she’ll never know anything about him because he’s gone!

Little does she know that not only will he come back into her life but in the most awkward way as his company is getting ready to possibly save her family’s company as he and his brother are the investors they need to be able to move forward. I loved their reaction to seeing each other again. It was priceless because both of them are still thinking of that night and the regret they had in not being able to contact each other.

Liam is a man that is rich and powerful and doesn’t always have the best of intentions when it comes to his venture capitalism. But with Morgan, he’s thinking about more than just what it’ll get him and his brother. His feelings for this woman are confusing to him, but he knows that this situation is more than about money, his feelings are going to trump everything else.

Morgan doesn’t know what to make of Liam and his intentions and when something comes to light during their due diligence, everything changes. Who can she trust? What does this mean for her family? Can her love for Liam be everything she thought it would be and does she have to make a choice. One thing I know for sure is that this man will do anything for the woman he loves even if it’s the most difficult decision he’s ever been faced with. If you want to know how this all plays out, read this newest book in this series, you won’t be sorry!

You can feel the sparks flying off the page; WOW!! These two are combustible together.
Liam and Morgan both have had very bad relationships, so when a one-night stand presents itself on Morgans birthday, they decide to take advantage of it.
Skip ahead 2 weeks, while at a business meeting to invest millions in a struggling company, to Liams surprise in walks Morgan, daughter of the owner of the company Liam is looking to invest in.
Liam feels guilty seeing Morgan as after their night together he left before she woke up without a goodbye or a note or anything. He has felt guilty for the last couple of weeks but seeing her again makes him feel even more guilty.
Morgan does not know what to think about seeing Liam at the meeting. She was upset after waking up alone the morning after their night together even though she knew it was only a one-night stand.
Once Morgan accepts Liam’s apology, they are able to have a good relationship with some flirtatious banter and professionalism.
But what happens when Morgan finds out that Liam has been keeping a secret from her? What happens when they are in Vegas together? Does what happen in Vegas really stay in Vegas or does it follow them home?
Can Morgan forgive Liam or will she forever hold anger against him and lose the chance of a HEA?

Oh my , Just a Little Desire started with a bang and Carly Phillips and Erica Wilde did it so well . That story has all the feels, all the angst and slow burn to play with readers hearts and the sweetest happy ending . The attraction between Liam and Morgan is undeniable, that chemistry is of the charts and they are so steaming hot together. And after that all those feelings are put to the test and all doubts resurface. Liam and Morgan have a bruised hearts from a previous relationships but they are both work in progress. And their second meeting is as life-changing as the first. Because this time they are working together. And the tension this time is unbearable and they still got that chemistry. But this time they have the chance to get to know each other. And this time they choose each other over their fears. Loved it how they grow as characters. Morgan may have fallen first but Liam fell harder . And their feelings are tested by a work situation that affects both Morgan's family and business. They only got stronger and their relationship only got better after that. Love it how their story made a full circle just where it started. That epilogue was so good.

Just a Little Desire is a Sterling Family Crossover novel by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde.

Morgan is out celebrating her birthday with her friends when she meets Liam Powers. The chemistry between the two of them is immediate and explosive. They spend one amazing night together and when Morgan wakes in the morning there is no sign of Liam. She is sad given she felt something real between them and he ghosted her.

Morgan works with her father and stepbrother at the family business GalvaTech. They are having finical issues and they are taking a meeting with an angel donor. Cue the shock when Liam is one of the two men who has shown up for the meeting. Morgan and Liam are going to have to work together given his involvement with the business. Will they be able to be professional or will the chemistry get the best of them?

Both Morgan and Liam have walls up for different reasons. The question is whether they can get past the things that have created those walls and allow themselves to give in to what might be the best thing both of them have ever experienced. This is a quick moving story that is engaging and enjoyable.

Liam and Morgan’s story begins with a one night stand that touched a chord in both. His stealth departure left them both with regrets and memories of that night that haunt them both. Fate brings them back together weeks later in an unexpected manner. Liam is a prospective investor in her family’s company, and Morgan is determined not to give anyone, especially him, any hint of her turbulent emotions. She wants nothing more than to keep her distance or avoid him altogether, but unfortunately, they will be working closely together. Both have reason enough to guard their hearts, but as they get to know each other, both become hopeful that they might have something worth pursuing between them. They certainly have fiery chemistry, but their fears, doubts and trust issues, the vestiges of past relationships, plague them both. Troubles with the business and secrets threaten to derail their relationship, but they find their way forward together.

Morgan and Liam were very likeable, intriguing and so darn relatable. I liked their chemistry, their banter and the efforts they made to let the past go, to really give their relationship a chance. The bit of suspense and family drama only made their story more interesting and enjoyable. I am happy to recommend this wonderful book.

Two greats team up yet again! Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde team up again for another Sterling Family Crossover. This book is a great addition to the series but also can be read as a stand-alone. In Just a Little Desire we meet Morgan and Liam. Their story brings heat, witty banter, and all the angst a great romance novel can deliver.
What happens when you can’t get your recent hookup out of your mind? What happens when you end up working with that very hookup? Read to find out how Morgan and Liam meet, how they end up working together and the challenges they face because of this relationship. This is a great story of how past relationships echo into current experiences, how family and work impact those relationships. Morgan’s strength and intelligence shape her into a confident, captivating character. Liam’s compassion and empathy along with his keen business sense draw the reader in. Add these together with their unavoidable chemistry and some sizzle, and you have Just a Little Desire.
Just a Little Desire is a steamy read with a great story filled with friendship, family, love, and mixed with forgiveness and some good business. Readers are rooting for this romance from page one.
As always, these two authors do not disappoint!

Sterling Family Crossover #2

While out with her friends celebrating her 26th birthday at a bar, Morgan meets Liam and they end up spending the night together. They have a great night but when she wakes up in the morning he is already gone and she has no idea what his last name is or really anything about him.

Morgan Starling is the marketing director along with her stepbrother Parker in their family business, GalvaTech. She finds out from her dad they will possibly be taking on investors and is afraid they will overtake the company.
When her dad introduces the investors she is shocked to see it's Liam and his brother, and he is shocked as well.

The chemistry they shared that night is still there, if not more so. But they both have baggage to work through as well as working together now, which brings complications.

Just when they finally start to work through everything, more problems arise with the business that pits them against each other.
Will they find their way through it all?
