What is an L.A. rockstar doing in Big Bear on Christmas Eve?
A sudden, strong blizzard has submerged the mountain in snow, keeping my family home. Resigned to spending my first Christmas as a widow alone, I’m startled by someone pounding on my cabin door—a handsome man carrying a guitar and needing shelter.
Dylan is sweet, funny, and the complete opposite of my former husband. As we get to know each other, he’s so damn hot I can’t resist learning what he has to offer.
Is this a single night of passion, or the beginning of lasting love?
This story is intended for readers over the age of 18 due to adult language, sexual content, and adult situations.
Takes place after Beth and Jacob's final book. Minor spoilers.
The Bassist Gets Snowed In: *Forced proximity *Lust before love *He falls first *Christmastime *Love after loss *Rockstar *Dirty-talking hero *Very steamy *HFN
Blurb: Dylan is the bassist for Jake Lindsey’s band, but not when he’s in his hometown. It’s Christmas Eve and a sudden, strong blizzard has left the mountain submerged in snow, wrecking his plan to drive back to Los Angeles in time to attend Jake and Beth’s party Christmas Day.
Jennifer’s family was coming to spend the holiday at her cabin, but the storm is keeping them off the mountain. Resigned to entertaining herself for the night, she’s startled by someone pounding on her front door—a handsome man needing shelter from the storm. Dylan is sweet, funny, and so damn hot she can’t resist learning what he has to offer.

Hot, hot love story in the middle of winter! Dylan and Jen are terrific together and there' s no shortage of chemistry. They are much more than just their physical attraction; their love runs deep and continues to grow. I love the overall story of Jake's band so this "spin-off" series is a wonderful treat to keep up with our favorite rockers.
Short quick and fun read. This was refreshing for me to read. Good clean book that was not overly done. They met under bad weather circumstances and never really left each other. It worked for them.

A quick and easy read featuring Jen & Dylan. It manages to stay light despite Jen's history with her deceased husband. Dylan is the perfect man to prompt Jen to move forward.
This is the first book in this author's spin off series called West Coast: Soulmates. The original series called My Once and Future Love Revisited starts off with a book called Kissed. This is the story of Jake and Beth, these are the two throwing the Christmas Party that Dylan is trying to get to. However, his hometown is in snow country and he is stuck in a snowstorm trying to make his way to sunny LA. Jennifer is a author that escapes to her cabin during the holidays and finds herself with an unexpected, hot stranded visitor in the middle of said snow storm. Dylan and Jennifer hit it off and the chemistry between these two is incredible. What happens when the snow storm stops, do they go their separate ways? This is a quick read so this is a insta-love story. It is not necessary to read the first series to proceed with this one.

A very sweet rock and roll story, yet comprised some very sensual scenes as well. This rock star seemed very down-to-earth and just an overall nice fellow to know. First experience of this writer`s work but I have already checked out her other work, with an eye to picking up some more of her novels.
This short story left me with a good feeling and lots of warm fuzzies. An author to check out.
I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this novel and I am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to this author.
It's a short little read that goes by lightning-fast. I think Dylan and Jen are completely adorable together. I loved that Dylan is the sensitive, poetic kind of rock star as opposed the hard partying bad-boy. That type wouldn't have worked with Jen at all. And the quiet, somewhat reclusive author is a perfect complement for Dylan. As this is my first exposure to this author, it looks like I have some back-tracking to do to catch up with the characters.
He was looking forward to going to the party but the snow comes down and now he is stranded. She was hoping her family would be there but the snow has stopped them coming to see her. A knock on the door may be the start of something. Will they have more than one night? How long will they be stranded? See how they get on

The Bassist Gets Snowed in, this is Dylan and after going off the road and getting stuck he ends up knocking on Jen's cabin door...Jen widower of about a year, Living alone, is a writer Ok they but it off and start a long distance relationship, quick moving story and Carla writes some great HOT scenes
The Bassist is the first book I have read by Carla Krae and it was adorable. Insta love is one of my favorite reads and Dulan and Jennifer were perfect!
A snowstorm wrecks their holiday plans or so they think. It's a short read about Dylan and Jen who are perfect for each other, they complement one another in the most basic and adorable ways.

This is the second book I have read from this author. The storyline are easy to follow and the writing style is simple and so easy to read. I can’t wait to start reading the rest of this series

Enjoyed reading Jennifier and Dylan’s steamy love story. Snow storm brings a widow and the bassist together. As they embark on a new romance the make decisions affect their relationship and future.

Meh. I wanted a steamy Christmas novella and this was two of those things, set at Christmas and a novella. Steamy in theory but everything was very brief and rushed. So any details are force fed to you. Boring and whiny.
What an interesting story. I love that these two were immediately so comfortable with each other. while it's a bit of a stretch that he doesn't get recognized, it certainly makes for a more comfortable relationship. Great start to a new series.
When Dylan’s car gets stuck in the snow he walks to the nearest house where Jennifer lives. She allows him to come and they seem to like each other. Their romance begins and they work through their past to get to present. A great read.
I got this short novella as a freebie so I shouldn't complain but the reason I picked it was because it was labelled as a reverse age gap, and while *technically* it is (she's 30, he's 28), it's such a minor difference I'd struggle to describe it as an age gap at all.
If the FMC mentioned one more time how difficult the 'long distance' would be on their relationship I was going to hurl my Kindle out of the window. They only saw eachother on alternate weekends because of it despite him being a rockstar and her a well-known writer ie both have money and flexible schedules to an extent. How long was this terrible distance?? ONE HOUR!! Get over yourselves, that's a standard daily commute right there, if you can't be bothered to do that then you're just not interested enough.
There were some sweet moments and some spice but overall nothing about either character was compelling enough to make this my gateway to the series.
The bassist Jen was about to spend Christmas alone because there was a blizzard and her mom and sister couldn’t make it but because of the blizzard Dylan’s car broke down and he ended up at her door. He walks right in makes himself at home and before he can finish his hot chocolate she’s climbing him like a tree. I’m a modern woman but good grief this scenario was a bit much to take. They’re at it all night long and when she wakes up he’s gone but he left her a note and a fresh pot of coffee. I really should have stopped reading right there but I’m a masochist so kept going. This was a short story but with a happy ending from start to finish. I’m giving this book three starts. Not sure I’m going to read the next book in the series.
Did not finish at 95%. Because I don’t care. The woman lead in this book is so weirdly out of touch. She lives in a remote mountain area that is less than 2 hours from LA but doesn’t know what Coachella is. She doesn’t own a mobile phone. She can seemingly support herself via writing but has no concept of celebrity. And then the hero. He’s so boring. He’s a boring rock star. And he has these little thoughts like “I like women who are trim but with boobs and ass” as if that’s not the body type preference of 90% of straight men.
A quick read with two people finding strength in each other, she getting over the death of her husband and he the break up of a long relationship. The two meet in a snow storm and find a connection it is then up to her to call him just like when he tells her he plays in a famous band is this what she wants? Read and find out a good story
A great quick snowstorm romance. Talk about chemistry and sexiness. Chemistry between characters can possibly last more than just the snowstorm? A great first read for me by author Carla Krae. I can’t wait to read more of her books!!
I can't believe how many people have given this short story 5 stars. It was rushed & totally unbelievable. No woman in her right mind would let a strange man into her house in the middle of no where when she was alone, regardless of his circumstances. Other than that, it was well written with great descriptions.
A quick, steamy fast story. Jen is spending Christmas alone because of a snow storm. Dylan gets stuck in a ditch on his way back to LA and winds up on Jen's front porch. There is chemistry between the two and they have one hot hookup. This was an enjoyable story.
This is a short, sweet, spicy holiday love story! It was fantastic. I love Dylan and Jen. I'm looking forward to meeting more members of the band but first I'm reading Dylan and Jens other Christmas story! I don't care if it's out of order. I need more Dylan and Jen.
