BooK 3 in the Rick Cantelli, PI Detectives Series
Rick and Lo take on an overseas consulting job at the embassy in Sana’a, Yemen to pay off favors owed the Company. It turns into a nightmare, when someone higher up tries to Benghazi them. They make a statement instead involving a body count no one expected. Back home in the USA, surprises pop up one after another as fabled Cantelli-land, the pit of darkness and shadow weighs in.

Instead of a return to the status quo, our aging duo prove beyond any doubt they live by the feud, and they protect their friends and loved ones at all cost. Retribution gets served cold, and promising threads from Rick’s past expand past his wildest imaginings. When threats arise in their newly altered reality, Rick and Lo dispense with them in a no holds barred fashion, while embracing another new beginning.

I literally laughed until I cried. I hope there's another sequel in this series. I loved the characters. Re-read in january, 2018. Still laugh filled. Re-read June 2019. Still funny. Re-read again in May 2020. Worth it...even with the right wing claptrap.

Funtime

I started reading your books with Cold Blooded, then it was Hard Case, then, everything! SO much fun!
I don't know if I can put, into words, just how much I have enjoyed reading, and listening to, your work.
I have been lead, by you, through the different levels of emotions, and have truly enjoyed the ride.
While I wait, impatiently, for your next book, any series, I reread them all. I have to say that I think that this is my favorite.
Thank you so much for it all

I hate to say this, but of the three books I've read in this series, I liked this one the least. There seemed to be so much joking around and laughing at each other and so much action going on without breaks that it was hard to take seriously. Loved the other two books, but this one - not so much. I rate it 4.3 stars.

Darkness

I liked the way it ended. It was exciting, interesting, and full of action. Little Jim is something else. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. I can't wait to read the next one! They're awesome!

Continued entertainment.

I loved the way the characters interact with each other. Does Mr Dr Leo wrote for the late night comedians? There is both drama and humor to keep the pages turning until late at night.

Changes are a-comin'

It's business as usual for Rick Cantelli and Lois Madigan. That means pounding hearts and adrenaline rushes on a regular basis.

The story opens with a team extracting an ambassador and his staff from a volatile area. When Rick gets back to the States, he learns that he has a grandson. An unexpected change, but it works well.

A client faces threats from a gang leader, a child pornography ring is busted, and an old enemy resurfaces. The action is great and the banter is entertaining.

There are still the workouts at Jadie's. gym and nights at the "Casablanca." Steve is back in the office and there's a newbie named Carl.

Into the Darkness is an exciting and entertaining read. If you haven't discovered Rick Cantelli, P.I., you're missing some great stories.

Like the main character's sense of humor and mystery was intense enough to keep reading series and I will. Hard boiled detective genre and recommend for those liking same.
