🏒 accidental pregnancy
🏒 no third act break up
🏒 childhood crush
🏒 one night stand
🏒 sport romance
🏒 secret dating

this novel was my first glimpse at Natasha Madison’s prose and certainly not the last one.

contrary to a good bunch of romance readers, i love a good surprise or accidental pregnancy trope and i absolutely feel like it enhanced the storytelling in this case. both main characters grew up in the same vicinity — 7 years apart — seeing as their fathers are best friends. the romance was honestly sweet with a lot of toe-curling, steamy scenes and some drama here and there that added a little extra flavor to the plotline.

all in all, it was a fun read that i would definitely recommend to anyone in need of a feel-good romance!

many thanks to the author and The Author Agency for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review

SPOILER WARNING!!!

For the first time, I’m stumped as to how to review this one. If I have to describe it, I would say it’s equal parts cringy, smutty, childish – yet moments with humor & sweetness, followed by more backtracking of the same and on and on it went. Confused? Yeah, so was I.

What you should expect is corny dialogue and never-ending smut, along with lots & lots of miscommunication that will have you cringing each and every time. I was sure that within the first 12 chapters or so that this was going to be a DNF for me because they lacked chemistry and I felt zero romance between the MCs. But then, out of boredom I picked it up again the next day and surprisingly it got a little better in terms of the romance finally kicking in. But then close to the end we get more stupid & idiotic miscommunication that had me wondering if a 12-year-old wrote this thing. And for Pete’s sake, why do writers incorporate so many sex scenes as filler? Is there no other option – like maybe develop your characters more out of bed so that you don’t need so many ad nauseum sex scenes?

Anyway, if anyone is planning to read this thing, please know that the first 12 chapters is skippable. Author fails to incorporate any chemistry or romance in her MCs. From Chapters 12/13 up until 27 I would say is the most enjoyable because the chemistry finally kicks in and MCs seems to have undergone a personality change. These chapters are filled with humor, bantering & MCs becoming a couple.

Then we have chapters 27 to the end before the Epilogue where MCs regressed and acted like pre-teens.

If you are interested in the plot, MCs have known each other since childhood. MMC is 7 years older than FMC which in current time would be 25 & 32. We get very little info about their childhood and absolutely nothing about either one of them having a crush in the past on each other or even that they thought of each other in any romantic sense which when you do a childhood friends to lovers theme, especially when their families are so close, you expect some attraction, jealousy and pining, yet we get nothing here.

In the present, MCs have not seen each other for several years which makes no sense as their families are very close (Dads are BFFs) and they celebrate together a lot. Anyway, FMC lives in NY and MMC in CA. He is a hockey player and she’s a social media manager who works for her mother.

Story starts with MCs attending a family event where both families are celebrating something.
So at this party, MCs are ribbing at each other throughout the night about one thing or another and it has more of a sibling/relative type vibe than a romantic one. FMC dances throughout the night with her cousins & siblings and drinks up a storm – yet she is not drunk at all. 🙄 MMC is a wallflower who watched her a lot during the night and shared a few bantering moments with her. So we go from no attraction or lusting to suddenly her inviting him up to her room and next moment they are having sex. 😶 As a reader, you want to read about an attraction, flirting, dirty thoughts - anything really to know how they got from point A to point B.

Then next day after their ONS, MMC is having buyers regret or something because he is trying hard to tell her that this has to be a one off for them as he is not looking for a relationship right now and she just laughs it off and makes a joke and leaves without any hurt feelings or anything.
Six weeks later, FMC learns she is pregnant with his kid and decides to fly to CA to tell him. Only when she arrives, she gets a surprise of her own when she sees his ex GF come down the stairs wearing his shirt and hightails it out of there without telling him. She doesn't even express any jealousy BTW. Just a thought that he must have patched things up with his ex immediately after their ONS. 🙄

In regards to OW, before MCs hooked up, MMC had broken up with OW a few months prior. They were in a year long relationship but he realized that the OW was not for him as she used him for his money & fame. Yet, after MCs had their ONS and before FMC comes to tell him about the baby, the OW called him to talk and he thought he would see if the heart grew fonder after months of their split. It didn’t BTW. He realized as soon as she walked in that she was not for him but OW asked to use his bathroom to shower as she had come from a tanning salon and was sticky. So she thought she would also seduce him so that they can get back together, only her plan was spoiled when FMC walked in. Eventually MMC kicks OW out but he didn't immediately go after her. He tried to call her and left her a msg to come back and talk but it was an old number of hers so she never gets the message..

Anyway, FMC eventually tells him about the baby and they immediately get together. Like same day she tells him, they start having sex and are supposedly a couple now because he is all in about the baby & excited and so she leaves NY to move in with him.. So you would think he would ask her to marry him since they made a baby and know each other so long so that they can be a family, right? Nope. The idea never crosses his mind - or hers for that matter. Now if this was an OW of his that was pregnant, I bet we would have MMC immediately marrying her.

Anyway, after Chpt 27 until close to the end, the writing started to tank again with so much stupid miscommunication and childish behavior/dialogue from MCs. Up until then, we had humor and banter that was kind of enjoyable and somehow they seemed to work as a couple. But after 27, I just wanted to be done with it.

The epilogue was okay but even that was ruined because FMC never says ILY to MMC. At least MMC said ILY to her a few chapters before the end, but she never says it back and the marriage proposal finally came very, very late at the end and not satisfactory at all.

So if you are looking for “feels” & romance here, I would skip. But if you like smut & cringey dialogue and a shallow read, this is for you.

“I’m going to have to man up and be a big girl,” I admit to them. “I’m going to have to talk to him.” I look at both of them as they nod. “Even though just thinking about it makes me want to gouge my eyeballs out.” They both laugh. “I want to go on the record and say this really fucking sucks. It sucks monkey balls, that is how much it sucks.” They laugh harder. “But it needs to happen for me, for him, and especially for the baby.” I shake my head. “I don’t want to.”

“But you need to,” Zoey pushes.
“But I need to,” I repeat. “I fucking need to,” I huff out. “Well, this has been a fun day.” I glare at them. “Now I need to go home and basically ask him if he wants me and try not to be broken-hearted if he tells me he doesn’t want me.”
“You live by the sword; you die by the sword,” Zoey declares and I just shake my head. “Get it? The sword is his penis.”
-------------
“I did everything wrong.” I shake my head. “I shouldn’t have opened the door.” I want to kick my own ass for not protecting her. “I never, ever thought she would storm into my house.” The scene plays again in my head when she ran past me, and I was so shocked I didn’t even get a chance to stop her. “You were the only one I’ve been with since our last time,” I tell her as she looks at me. “I haven’t even thought about being with anyone else since. We’ve been over for a while, and even the last couple of weeks that she’s been coming over, nothing, and I mean, nothing has happened. You,” I say softly, “you are the only one I’ve wanted since that night. I never thought she would race up the stairs and go for my bedroom.”
“You poor thing,” she replies with a sad smile, trying to make a joke out of it. “A scorned woman.” She shakes her head. “You should be very afraid of her. Like, lock-up-your-pitchforks-and-gird-your-loins scared.”
----
“Almost.” She rolls her eyes. “Why is it that no one likes to hear that word? Or the word ‘maybe.’ Like if someone says maybe, chances are it’s a no.” I see that she usually just randomly talks when she’s nervous. “It’s as bad as ‘it’s not you, it’s me.’” She folds her arms over her chest. “When we all know it’s never them and always you.”
“I don’t even know what to say to that.”
------
“You just gave me the code to your cell phone.” I hold up the phone, showing him.
“Okay, I don’t understand.”
“Now I can go through it,” I groan and look out the window before turning back to him. “Literally unlocked I can search anything I want to. I can go on your history in your browser. I can check your pictures. I can delete certain numbers in your contacts. The list is endless.”
“Okay,” he repeats, looking at the road, then quickly at me, then back at the road.
“You can’t give a woman the code to your phone.”
“Is that a rule somewhere?”
“Yes,” I gasp. “It’s like dangling a carrot in front of a rabbit.”
“How so?”
“You can’t be this clueless.” I turn my back to the door to watch his facial expression. “Unless you change your password, I can go into your phone at any given time.” I hold up my hand. “I’m not saying I would, I’m just saying now I can.”
“Are you going to give me your code?” he asks me.
“Absolutely”—I look down at his phone—“not.”
He laughs. “What? Why?”
“Because it’s private.” I avoid looking at him. “And girls are different than boys”—he laughs softly—“like, I’m going to be telling my friends about you. There are things we share with each other that you should not know.”
“Like what?” he asks me, trying not to laugh but softly chuckling.
“Like how good of a kisser you are,” I start at that, “and then sometimes it’s like good things you’ve done with certain parts of you.” He full-on belly laughs. “Or bad things that you’ve done and we didn’t like but you seemed to enjoy, so we have to ask each other if it’s normal. Then there are things like how we feel about you guys.”
“So?”
“So,” I shriek, “so that’s private!” I put his phone to my chest.
“What if I ask you for the code?”
“I’m going to need five minutes with said phone and then I can give it to you.” I swallow. “After I make sure it’s safe for you.”
“Safe for me or safe for you?” He turns it around, his hand coming up to rest on my upper thigh.
“For both,” I state, making us both laugh. “Safe for me not to be totally embarrassed by anything I might have said and then safe for you to not think I’m a dweeb.”

There was a lot to love in this series. I enjoy an accidental pregnancy so much, so when I was reached out to about this one, I jumped at it. I’ve only read one other romance by this author before, but I’m a ho for certain tropes in this one.

I loved how Jaxon & Ariella had such instant chemistry. They knew one another through their dads, but they get a new appreciation when they meet at a party. When Jaxon offers to see Ariella home… she leads him to her hotel door. It’s game on from there.

But it was only supposed to be one night and they live on opposite ends of the country. Until, those two pink lines have her at his door this time, sooner than they expect. After a few bumps in the road, they decide to raise the baby together and their journey begins.

I do feel like they were misunderstanding each other on way too many accounts and for a hockey romance, we didn’t see enough of it. They spent a LOT of time in the sack too. But I guess they already know one another pretty well? So maybe we didn’t need more romance? I don’t know, I could have used a little more.

I look forward to more in this series though.

Narrated in the duet style by Savannah Peachwood & Connor Crais, to delightful effect, as always.

Natasha Madison wrote a new amazing hockey romance, with the most funny and chaotic family you'll ever meet.

Only For Tonight tells Jaxon and Ariella's story. They meet after years at a Dallas franchise's event, they are all grown up now and they spend a night together. The day after, one goes back to New York and the other to Los Angeles, until Ariella gets a big surprise and she has to fly to California to tell the shocking news to Jaxon.

I found Ariella and Jaxon relationship endearing and spicey. Jaxon is adorable, Ariella is sassy, and together they are vibrant, mature and smoldering. Fate has only helped them to get closer and know better each other sooner and faster.

I had a very good time reading this book, so I recommend it to everyone.

Natasha Madison kicks off her brand-new series with a bang (literally 😏) in Only for Tonight!
Ariella and Jaxon have been friends since childhood, but one unforgettable night changes everything. From secret relationship tension to a protective hockey hero and a heroine who’s as strong as she is sassy, this story gave me everything I love in romance. 🏒🔥

Jaxon completely stole my heart—he’s protective without being overbearing and so unbelievably sweet during Ariella’s pregnancy. And Ariella? Independent, witty, and fierce. Their chemistry sparkled, their banter had me smiling, and I was feral for the accidental pregnancy trope done this well. Madison’s signature mix of heat + heart is all over these pages, and it was impossible to put down.

Perfect for anyone who loves friends to lovers with extra spice, strong heroines, and swoony hockey stars who know exactly when to turn on the charm. 🥵💘

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (rounded up to 5 for how much I felt this couple)

I finally discovered Natasha Madison last year when I read her Dreams series, so I was so excited to see she was starting a new hockey romance series. This was a spicy, one night stand, accidental pregnancy romance.

Jaxon and Ariella have a one night stand when they run into each other at a party. They have been friends since they were kids because their dads are best friends. They only agree to one night since they live on different sides of the country. Ariella shows up at his place a couple of months later with a surprise pregnancy.

Jaxon immediately steps up and decides to be all in with Ariella. He was very supportive and ready to be a father. They jumped right into a relationship and made a go of it.

It's been a few years since I last read a book by this author, and my goodness, I've missed her writing style and her stories.
I'm probably going to binge-read one of her series now.

I really liked this story from start to finish, great main and supporting characters, and their relationships.

Loved this one!! I wasn't sure at first, but this one hit all the marks for me today.

I loved Jaxon. The way he didn't even hesitate to step up and just be there. I also loved Ariella. She was the perfect balance in this relationship. They both had me laughing. But I also loved how strong she was when dealing with the crazy ex.

I say this all the time, but I love the family dynamic that Natasha Madison brings to the table! It gets me every time in these books.

Only for Tonight is a one night stand, accidental pregnancy, friends to lovers, hockey romance! It’s the start of a new hockey romance series by Natasha Madison. This was a fun one!

Ariella + Jaxon have been family friends for years, they never were that close themselves bur their families always were/are. The story kicks off with a quick one night stand between them that eventually leads to an accidental pregnancy! Once they slide back into one another’s lives, after some hiccups and roadblocks, their relationship is easy and steamy! If accidental pregnancy is your jam, this one delivers on all those pregnancy vibes. It helps that their families have been friends for a while and they already know one another too. A quick, good time overall!

I had an audio ALC, all thoughts in this review are my own. Audiobook was super quick and narrated fabulously by Connor Crais and Savannah Peachwood!

I just love a fast one!

And when I mean fast I mean this isn't one where they're waiting around, pining or apart. These two are together, together. Well... kinda. ;)

Jaxon and Ariella have known each other for years. Kinda raised together, but kinda not. So when the chance comes for the two of them to spend one night together, they take it. Its just one night together, they'll not mention it to anyone and it'll be no big deal.

Except six weeks later it kinda turns into a bid deal. Arielle is pregnant. And my gosh when she tells him... madness. But I loved how in Jaxon is. I really think it has a lot to do with his past. And Arielles too.

The way these two navigate suddenly having to be in each other's lives... forever is great. Jaxon really shows great character by letting Arielle lead.

Love, love, loved the ending. Natasha knows what her readers want and delivers each time.

I devoured this. Natasha just never misses and I already know I'm going to love this new series. I loved all the drama in this one(call me a drama queen if you want), but it added some extra tension that it needed.

This was soooo spicy!! Their sexual chemistry was insansee and it was so cute how protective Jaxon was. We love a jealous, OTT, hott daddy hockey player am I right? 😉

I think we can all agree that his ex gf is a huge walking red flag 💩

I also love Kirby & am pumped for his book.

It's been a while since I'm been so thoroughly bowled over by the chemistry between the characters in a Natasha Madison book.

What started out as a one night stand and quickly became a surprise pregnancy (a trope I love and adore) hit me in the feels so effectively that I had to read AND listen, toggling between the audio in the car and then taking over where I stopped on my ereader at home.

The expected characters appear in this
multi-generational family saga, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

It's like visiting treasured family every time this amazing saga has a new series added, introducing even more amazing characters and storylines.

The story of Jaxon and Ariella is *chef's kiss* and shouldn't be missed!

🎧📚AUDIO & eBOOK REVIEW📚🎧

This story took longer for me to get through than I expected. It didn’t get off on that great a foot with me and I had to set it aside a couple of times. Not gonna lie, the Tiffany situation was twitchy and since it happened early on in the book, it kinda put me in the wrong frame of mind from the get. Feel me? Then a bunch of nonsense happens, and we are finally at the “reveal” and … “you can be as involved with this baby as you feel comfortable with…”. LISTEN, this might just be a “me” thing, but shouldn’t you let the “reveal” sink in at least for a few minutes before you’re already throwing out the assumption that he’s gonna be a “deadbeat dad”? *sigh* It’s a me thing, isn’t it? I might just be too old for these types of shenanigan conversations but, STOP.IT. LOL It’s lucky for me that all these shenanigans pretty much happened in the first 35%(ish) of the story and all was good(ish) after that! :)

This isn’t a “new” story with some “well played” storyline, but it was executed nicely and I think for those readers that have been with Natasha for the long haul, it will be more impactful because of the connection to characters they’ve read and loved from her past series. This series is more than just a “spink-off” of something, it’s what I like to call a “2.0 series” where “kids” from the original series get a journey to HEA. That is always a “sweet spot” for me and a plus because it makes me want to go back to whatever series was the original and make sure I devour it if I hadn’t yet, because I’m ridiculous like that! LOL So yes, I am now devouring all of the Only One Series as fast as I can and I am not mad about it! LOL I’ve enjoyed Natasha Madison’s writing from the start of my journey into her writing, so this is not a hardship at all! :)

Anywho, as I was saying, the bulk of this story felt pretty good to me and of course, having two exceptional narrators in my ears performing in dual narration did not hurt one bit! I love 🎤Connor Crais & Savannah Peachwood🎤 and they made a really good team as Jaxon & Ariella. I did more of a read while I listened to this title as opposed to listening and reading separately, because there was not time for separate, but also because I realized that listening (because I love these two narrators so much) would take any twitchiness that might come my way and dull it a bit by their talented performance! It was a win-win for me this way!

📚🎧The story rates a solid 3.5 stars from me and the audio is a resounding 5 stars which I will happily round up to 4 stars overall!

4.5 Stars— Natasha is back in her hockey era, and I’m here for it!

Jaxon and Ariella have been family friends, but haven’t seen each other in years. With an age gap, that time apart changes everything including a newfound sense of chemistry. When that chemistry boils over into a night of fun, Jaxon and Ariella struggle with the idea of reaching out to make that one night a little more. But fate decides for them when Ariella finds out she’s pregnant.

A Natasha MMC is always all in for their women and Jaxon’s reaction to the pregnancy was everything. I love how Ariella and Jaxon spent a good amount of time re-learning about each other to set the foundation. Yes their chemistry was there, but they worked to build a solid relationship as well.

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

It’s been awhile since I’ve read an accidental pregnancy. And it reminded me I love this trope.
The whole whoopsie but the man steps up and goes all daddy bear “this is my baby”

Childhood friends
Friends to lovers
One night stand
Secretly dating
Hockey

There wasn’t a whole lot of hockey written about.
And unfortunately I feel their relationship was very based around s*x. Like where were the dates and conversations about literally anything besides having a baby and stuffing her mouth with something 🤣 the spice was there tho

I also have not read her prior hockey series and there were a lot of people mentioned I didn’t know.

It was okay. (Possible spoilers ahead) It’s a hockey book, but very little is mentioned about hockey. There are also a TON of side characters from the author’s previous books.

The MC’s families/friends are tightly intertwined together. But these MCs haven’t been around each other in years. There’s a party, where tons of side characters are thrown at the reader, then the MCs engage in a little banter back and forth. Sorry, I just didn’t feel any chemistry between them. Maybe more like friends, but definitely nothing that screamed hot or sexy.
They have a closed door ONS. 😏 The next morning, H does the whole “I’m not looking for a relationship” bit and she’s like okkkkkay.

Weeks later, h finds out she’s pregnant. She flies to CA to tell him (she lives in NY) Surprise, OW comes out of his bedroom wearing just his shirt. 🙃

*sidenote* H was with OW for a year. She’s stalker-like crazy. He broke up with her before he had the ONS with h. OW came over that night to “talk” and he let her in because he wanted to see if he had any feelings for her. He didn’t. She asked if she could take a shower to get tanning products off her. 😂😂 THAT is his first problem.

So when h sees OW only wearing his shirt, she assumes he’s back with his ex (like who can blame her?) h leaves fast and without telling him about the baby.

A day or two later, both MCs randomly run into each other at a restaurant. They meet up later and she tells him about the baby. This is when the whole plot went into “riiiight” territory. H then gets INSTALOVE for h. Sure, he didn’t say “I love you” but he did everything else that alpha cavemen do in books. They immediately start shagging. She moves in right away. They immediately decide that it’s better she moves in with him in CA therefore giving up her place in NY. 😬

So..H has a BFF, who is also his teammate. That teammate has a girlfriend who is friends with OW. Naturally, H tells his friend private things, which somehow always gets back to OW. (It was clear to me that the teammate also had a nasty girlfriend) Thankfully, the teammate does realize later on that his girlfriend is awful like OW and ends it with her.

There’s a bit of suspense because nobody knows about the MCs and the baby. I’m honestly stupefied by this because both dang families are closely connected . MC’s dads are BFFS. And ofc, it’s a big-to-do about nothing because both families are fine after the shock. Both families are all in because they are all so perfect. 😒

The smex scenes were just awkward. I’m not sure how to explain it…..it was weird. There were also a lot of them. Then the descriptions/dialogue just left me going huh? It was like a choppy flow and some were randomly placed throughout.

At one point, OW actually marches into H’s house and into his room while h is there. OW also calls H’s mom and tells her that H broke up with her to be with a puck bunny. OW finds out h is pregnant and confronts H.

Now…we kind of have a 3rd act breakup, of sorts. H finds out that OW actually poked holes into all his condoms, hoping to get pregnant with his baby. lol (seriously, what woman would actually admit to doing this?) It was at this point I was annoyed. Why is H NOT doing something/anything about this OW? Police, restraining order, block her number, cut off access, etc….???? Anything? Why is he not singing from the rafters, telling everybody how crazy OW is? For real, at least give your friends and family a heads up. JFC

This clueless H now feels guilty because OW poking holes into the condoms was how h ended up pregnant. He pulled away from h. He started acting weird. h thought he wanted to break up. *eye roll*
After a week, they finally decide to act like adults and talk.

Technically, not much else happens except preparing for the baby.
Epilogue is HEA with baby Jagger 😩

IMO this book couple is the very definition of a couple who are together because of the baby. If h didn’t get pregnant, they would not be together.

A new hockey series by Natasha Madison? Yes, please!
Ariella and Jaxon have known each other their whole lives with their dads being very close friends. At the same event Jaxon offers to drive Ariella home which leads to a very hot one night together. Living on opposite coasts, they don't see each other until Ariella turns up in California to share some surprising baby news with Jaxon.
Narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Connor Crais, the audiobook was fantastic. I found myself very engrossed in the story and this new hockey world.

I was blessed with the audiobook for this and I think the narrators did an amazing job bringing this story to life!

Jaxon was sooo swoon worthy! He can’t do wrong in my eyes! The way he stepped up to be the best father he can be!

I can’t wait to continue the rest of this series!

I knew already that Natasha can deliver a small town romance as I have enjoyed Dreams series a lot, and this book was my first of hers as hockey romance. And I can say that I am already intrigued with this new series!

If you are searching for a quick and easy sports romance with all the best tropes like hockey romance, accidental pregnancy and childhood crush but also 🌶️Hight spice🌶️ - this one is the book for you! It is quite an insta love kind of story even though Ariella’s and Jason knew each other since they were kids. We as a readers are getting all the juicy details straight from the first chapters!

If you are an audio book lover then knowing narrators cast: Connor Crais as Jaxon and Savannah Peachwood as Ariella should immediately convince you that it is a must listen! You also would know that most probably if you would listen this book in public - you would blush a lot 😂😉

The first book in a new series from Natasha Madison, she returns to her hockey dynasty with a fantastically fun, sexy and romantic friends-to-lovers, surprise pregnancy romance. I love this book!

Natasha’s extended hockey dynasty now stretches across six series, and all are intermingled. In a fun tie-in, Jaxon is the son of Manning and Evelyn from Only One Night, and Ariella is the daughter of Ralph and Candace from Only One Kiss. There is all manner of crossovers with this larger-than-life extended friend and family group. You don’t need to have read the earlier books because, honestly, there’s so many characters now, I can barely remember who is who. But if you’re a mad Natasha fan with a memory better than mine, you’ll love the cameos (Matthew and Max FTW!).

We met Jaxon when he was a little kid to a single father in his parent’s book, now he’s all grown up and playing in the NHL. He and Ariella grew up together as their fathers are best friends, though she is seven years younger than him so they didn’t have too much to do with each other. Now, they are reunited as adults at a team party, attraction sparks, and they end up spending the night together. In the morning they both agreed that it was a great night but they’ll go their separate ways, back to their lives on opposite sides of the country.

But their plan for a clean break comes to a screeching halt when Ariella discovers that she’s pregnant. Jaxon immediately declares himself all in, and they pick up right where they left off from their steamy night,

“I’m in this, Ariella,” I tell her bending my head and putting my forehead on hers. “I’m all fucking in this.”

This is such a gorgeous romance! Both Jaxon and Ariella are no-nonsense, they say it like it is and they don’t hold back from each other, and I love how they just throw themselves into what they’re feeling. It takes them a little while to define it, and there is some external drama they have to deal with, but the journey is fun, sexy, swoony, and fantastically entertaining, and this is a gorgeously functional love story (Jaxon’s possessiveness is the icing on the cake!).

“I’ve never loved anyone the way I love you … I’ll fight the rest of my days to make sure it only gets better.”

The extended family are lots of fun, especially when the overprotective fathers and uncles get involved, and the family dynamics are so amazing. We also get a glimpse of the next book in the series, and I’m so excited for that one!

I loved coming back to Natasha’s hockey world, and I loved these characters, their story, and their blissful HEA.

Such a great read - 4.5 stars.

Natasha is back in her hockey era with this story of Ariella and Jackson — and I am so glad she is!

This story blends one of my favorite tropes, friends-to-lovers with a surprise baby, in a way that is compelling and heartfelt. I love a good surprise or accidental pregnancy trope so this was right up my alley (TW: there are several spots that discuss fear of miscarriage so be aware of that.)

This is a spin off series — full of the most funny and chaotic family — characters I really enjoy so much who add a lot of depth to the book.

What to expect:
💙One Night Stand
🏒Friends to Lovers
💙Accidental Pregnancy
🏒Hockey Romance
💙Secret Relationship
🏒No 3rd Act Break Up

It’s the undeniable connection between Ariella and Jaxon that really drives this story forward to me. Add to that Ariella’s sharp wit and Jaxon’s quiet strength, and you have a relationship on the page that feels real and serendipitously meant to be.

🎧Narration:
My enjoyment of this story can be directly tied to the exceptional narration from Connor Crais & Samantha Peachwood. I loved Connor’s treatment of the book — his brought forth such sincerity and so much longing. Savannah exuded every bit of Ariella’s anxiousness and fear, as well as her sass. They absolutely nailed it and I blazed through this audiobook.

This was an enjoyable read that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys banter, a touch of drama and tons of heat between a devoted, sexy hockey player and his younger, sassy childhood friend. An oops brought them together but it’s their undeniable chemistry and almost fated circumstances that is the foundation for their forever.

Thank you to Natasha for this ARC and ALC!

Jaxon & Ariella

Ok we are back in our hockey world and I LOVE it! This was everything you come to love about Natasha’s writing! We get cameos from so many, we get banter, we get all of the emotions and it is so good.

Jaxon and Ariella have known each other their whole lives and stumble upon one another at a hockey event and what do you know they spend one hot and dirty night together!

Jaxon falls hard and fast, Ariella is the ultimate sass queen and I love her. Their banter together is so good and will have you laughing out loud

The spice, oh my goodness my kindle was about to combust these two could set a wet log on fire! 🔥

Could I brag about this any more absolutely… not!

Bonus points go to the last chapter 🤣 Ariella in her rage moods being pregnant was exactly how I felt when I was like that and the last month feels like a million years and everything is the partners fault 🤣 I cackled so much!

Bring on the next book I’m already so emotional about it! 😭

Natasha Madison
Narrated by: Connor Crais/Samantha Peachwood

Thank you for Natasha Madison and The Author Agency for my gifted copy of this audiobook/e-book.

Every book I read of Natasha’s is amazing! I love her writing style and this book also had such fun banter between FMC (Ariella Weber) and MMC (Jaxon Stevenson). I’m typically not a big fan of accidental pregnancy or insta-love but Natasha’s writing made this story relatable and I loved the way these two navigated this unconventional relationship.

If you love fun, sexy banter between a hot, NHL player and this childhood friends to lovers story then you will love this! I also loved Connor Crais and Samantha Peachwood as narrators I really felt like I was right there in the middle of the story and I love both of their voices. I listened to this book in one day, it was just that good! I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

This was such a treat to listen to. Natasha Madison delivers a fun, spicy & endearing hockey romance featuring an accidental pregnancy that is done so well. The tension between our MCs is played out perfectly & listening to this in dual narration by Connor Crais & Samantha Peachwood absolutely takes the story to another level.

This is a childhood family friend's one-night stand turned accidental pregnancy when pro-hockey star Jaxon reunites with Ariella at a charity event. The chemistry between these two is electric & I love how fierce Ariella is when faced with flying across the country to tell Jaxon he's going to be a dad. There is some drama featuring Jaxon's ex that I just ate up (what can I say, I love that type of drama) & also the introduction to the rest of the team sets up the series that I am locked in & ready for book 2.

The secret dating element as Ariella & Jaxon figure out their relationship had me swooning - it's the definition of falling hard & fast. Jaxon is such a great MMC who gets hit with that love for a woman he didn't see coming. The banter between them, especially as Ariella's pregnancy gets further along, had me cackling. The openness with their family are some of my favorite scenes.

This was such a great surprise read & I truly can't wait for the next book. The setup in this one will have you counting down until the next release...

A new series, but a similar cast of characters as we are now solidly into the second generation. This family has provided us with laughs for some time, and it looks like it will continue.

Jaxon and Ariella’s story started some time ago, but it is a family event that brings them together again. One special night follows, and she heads back to New York. Only to find her pregnant a little time later. She flies to California to give him the news, eats her feelings with desserts, and does give him the news.

I love how they work together, and they work on their relationship. Jaxon is swoon worthy, Ariella is a spitfire, and together the chemistry is hot. In the background we have the chaos and fun that only this huge extended family can give us.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

This was actually my first hockey romance by Natasha Madison (I’ve been a huge fan of her small-town romances), and it did not disappoint. Jaxon and Ariella are absolute perfection together. Both come from families with deep hockey roots, and though there’s a slight age gap, their shared history of family gatherings and rink-side moments makes their chemistry feel so natural.

What starts as a one-night stand at a hockey event quickly becomes a life-changing connection neither of them saw coming. Ariella is fiery, independent, ambitious, and has the best sense of humor. Jaxon is the grounded athlete—focused, disciplined, and always in the zone rather than chasing the party life. Together, their banter, chemistry, and family dynamics made this story.

I loved this book so much. This is the first book in a long time I’ve read in one day! I’m a huge accidental pregnancy fan and this one was so well done. Jaxon and Ariella were both great characters. I loved seeing them move beyond the one night stand to having genuine feelings for each other. I absolutely loved the cameos from their families. M & M are always a hoot and I’m so happy to be back in this world! The audio was phenomenal and when I couldn’t listen I devoured the ebook. If you like hockey romance, age gaps, or accidental pregnancy definitely add this to your TBR! Thank you to the author for my advanced copies🫶🏻
