Oh, how I love this book! It pairs relationship advice with classic quotes from Jane Austen for a thoroughly modern, clever, and witty romance guide. Organized into themed sections, this is simple but brilliant, kept me laughing, and left me with a huge smile on my face. Austen's wit and wisdom is truly enduring. This would make a great addition to any Austen fan's collection!

The book is dived into eight chapters with titles like securing Affection, Fools in Love and Escaping Odious Suitors. Each page has a modern sentiment and then a quote from a Jane Austen Novel.
I found myself agreeing with Jane, laughing and nodding my head in agreement as I read the book. Jane Austen’s words really do stand the test of time and her insight about people always inspire and impress me.

This book is pocket sized and would make the perfect gift for a friend who loves Jane Austen, a friend who loves quotes, one who likes to laugh and reflect, or for you. (Jane Austen would approve) The author has a genius way of relating Austen’s books to modern day situations.

Can we talk about one of the best gifted books I received this year from @stmartinspress @castlepointbooks ???

Jane Austen got me through some tough adolescent and college times. Pride and Prejudice was often a comfort read and watch while in law school (The 1995 BBC miniseries is the superior adaption and I will take no arguments).

To receive this book out of the blue was such a fun surprise. I immediately tore through it and started reading quotes aloud to my husband while cackling.

“Why settle for mediocre dating advice when you can consult the queen of the meet-cute?” Why, indeed?!

This comes out tomorrow and is an absolute must-read for any Jane Austen fans!

Five stars because of course Jane’s thoughts and writing are the best, but as for the editor of the book, My only criticism is that I wish the quotes had mentioned who it was that was speaking the line. And maybe chapter. So I could remember the context.
