The Plus Ones #1

The Plus One Agreement

Rate this book
A clean fake dating romance with a grumpy boss, a chaotic florist, and one very unexpected kiss.

Frankie Sloan talks to her plants, wears her emotions (and glitter) on her sleeve, and makes floral magic in the middle of organized chaos. She’s one wrong client away from losing her flower shop, but she’s got charm, determination—and an imaginary boyfriend to impress a high-profile wedding planner.

What she doesn’t expect?
Theo Hart—her handsome, detail-obsessed boss—to overhear the lie and offer to play the part.

Theo doesn’t do messy. Or fake relationships. But his venue’s image is on the line, and keeping up appearances seems like the safest solution… until he finds himself catching real feelings for the woman who leaves petals everywhere she goes.

With awkward mixers, dance floor disasters, and one very real kiss that changes everything, Frankie and Theo’s fake relationship starts to look a lot like something real.

But when the rules of their agreement get blurry, they’ll have to play it safe, or take a chance on love that was never part of the plan?

Perfect for fans of clean romantic comedies with sparkling banter, slow-burn chemistry, and heartfelt endings. Grab your copy of The Plus One Agreement and fall in love today! 💐

This was a cute little read, and the audiobook is by virtual narrator, but it seems so real.

Cute story. Frankie was a quirky, eccentric florist where Theo preferred to contain chaos.
Theo offered to play fake boyfriend after noticing Frankie stumbling over her "I have a boyfriend " lie.

I do think she was unnecessarily hard on him after he second guessed crossing the professional line. She punished him on the merits of past relationships not anything he did.
In the end he won her over.

Take one uptight venue owner and wedding planner who is handsome, efficient, and adverse to disorganization or chaos...Theo Hart. Add one non conventional and wildly successful floral designer...Frankie Sloan. Mix in confusion, chaos, and tender feelings to reveal the most beautiful results. I loved Frankie's eclectic arranging style and her gentle nature. I loved that Theo could adapt by slowly loosening the tight bonds of perfection that kept him from love. Add in an absolute gorgeous book cover to help your imagination along, and you have a sweet romance that is also friendship and respect. Lovely!!

The Plus One Agreement is an easy and short read that'll catch the reader's attention. It's well-written, has a lot of humor and really funny descriptions of scenes as the main character makes a nuisance of herself as not always she knows what she should be doing or saying. The point is her unexpected behavior will call the attention of the city's most prestigious wedding planner venue owner, who believes nothing should be unplanned which is the opposite way she leads her life. Will they be compatible and become a couple?

I was hooked from the first sentence

I read a LOT of books. Romcoms are my favorite genre, and grumpy sunshine is my favorite trope, and this book did both of these in one of the best stories I've read! The characters were real and relatable. It hooks you from the very beginning and reels you in, until you can't put it down! Before you know it, you've reached the end. And you can't wait to read the next book!

The story is very sweet. I would have liked there to have been more leading to a relationship. Some "getting to know eachother" moments would have been nice, for that reason I give it three stars. Overall the moments that they did have were very sweet. I just wish it had more

A quick read; a sweet romance with a grumpy/sunshine, “fake dating” trope. Squeaky clean and will be easy to recommend to fellow readers.

This one was short - not sure if it was meant to be a novella? It was a clean romance but there was absolutely zero relationship development.

It was a cute book. I thought Frankie and Theo were cute together.
There were a few issues with the book however. I do think that another round of editing could have helped.

2.75⭐️

I gave this book 2.75 stars. I liked the idea of the plot, but it definitely had quite a few plot holes. The story felt rushed, and I somewhat felt like the story didn’t give much context for what was happening in the book. It very much read like:
1) I saw him, I saw her.
2) We like each other.
3) There’s tension.
4) We’re fine.
5) The end.
I feel like the characters were not fully fleshed out and it didn’t feel complete.

Have said that, I did like this book for a quick cutesy read. It read like a cute romcom. I don’t think I wasted my time, but I wouldn’t say it’s a must read that I would recommend to friends and family.

The good this book has is that it’s closed door, very lighthearted, and quick and easy to read. I just wished I got more explanation! I think you can build chemistry and still keep it closed door without it being quite like this. But maybe that’s just me.

But it was still good and I’ll likely read another book by this author!
