Very informative book, it reads like a documentary nearly! It’s a local story for me so I was captured instantly by all of the local landmarks and names. Ultimately it’s just a very sad story - sad to think about Irene and the fear she lived with, sad thinking about so many women in Ireland living this same life, sad thinking about so many lives affected for a completely senseless act, sad for a murderer who did something that he was heavily influenced to do, sad thinking of the conclusion….sometimes the legal system just needs more!

4.5⭐️ this book was horrifying the fact it’s true was even more difficult to read. I lived around the corner from this murder and was only very young when it took place so knew very little of the details. It’s was very well written and fascinating, while sad to read. Loved the way the book was written.

Another excellent well wrote book about an untimely Irish murder. Pat Marry's books are all excellent, they take complex cases and lay them out in a coherent easy to digest chronology making them an easy and enjoyable read.

Shocking murder of an innocent woman in her own home and the 15 Yr journey to get her justice. Fantastic insight to how to garda work and how they did get her justice through hardwork and determination

I did enjoy this book however I did feel at time there was too much unneeded dialogue to get though.
