ARC review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I absolutely loved Sawyer and Julian! This billionaire, age gap (37&22) romance in the chefs freaking kiss. When the two find themselves in a heartbreaking tragedy, they quickly form a bond and the chemistry between the two is undeniable. But because of who he is and his family, being together is complicated.
I adored Sawyer’s character. She’s smart, hardworking and doesn’t take shit from anyone. Julian, good lawd this man is 🔥. He has the billionaire status without the ick that can come with it. Overall, he’s perfect.
The Everett brothers are a new favorite and I can’t wait for the next book!

May 12, 2025I’m not going to give this a rating because I stopped reading at like 20%. I was looking forward to this book because of the promo I saw on Instagram but unfortunately it wasn’t for me. It felt verrrrry insta love-y. He immediately starts paying for her life and taking care of her based off of zero interaction and it was just kind of corny.

Al final me hubiera gustado un poco más de desarrollo en la historia, pero también es cierto que hay una parte de la trama que queda para los siguientes libros de los hermanos, aún así, me ha faltado un poco más después de la ruptura del tercer acto.
La forma traumática en que se conocen Sawyer y Julian y como se desarrolla el principio del libro es lo bastante diferente a otras historias como para que me atrapara. Después me ha gustado la forma en que se diferencian sus vidas, un súper millonario y una joven que trabaja para poder seguir estudiando.
Aunque hay un poco de insta love, la relación tarda en construirse y eso me parece bien porque tiene sus obstáculos. Uno es la diferencia de edad de quince años, que se recalca pero que no tiene daddy kink en los momentos claves, lo que agradezco. Otro es la clase social, que creo que se maneja bien.
Es un libro para pasar un rato entretenido y seguramente seguiré leyendo al resto de hermanos.

Well the beginning of this book took me somewhere I did not see coming but it was a unique change, something I have never read before. And man was it eye opening and will give you chills. It was very well written.
But during this event is when our main characters meet for the first time. And gosh talk about a way to meet someone. Julian was coming to the college campus to give a speech but literally ran into Sawyer. Without giving too much away, think of it as a “In the right place, at the right time” kind of moment for both of them.
So after they had their “met” I was worried how their relationship would progress but I was genuinely happy with how it did. I adored how Julian, a man that doesn’t do relationships ever, took care of Sawyer like it came naturally to him. He is older than her, 15 years her senior, and I was worried he would take the dad role but that wasn’t the case at all.
Truly I loved these two for one another. Sawyer didn’t want anything from Julian. She didn’t care that he was a billionaire and he could buy her anything she wanted. She just wanted to be with him cuz he made her feel safe and loved. And for Julian he wasn’t used to that when it came to women. So that just made him want to spoil her even more lol.
I felt the ending was kind of rushed just a little. I wanted more from what happened at the end. But I get it is left like that as the next to come in the series will talk more about it since it involves Julian and his brothers.

Sawyer is just attempting to get back to her dorm safely when the unthinkable happens — and right in front of her. When she flees, she runs into Julian Everett, the Julian Everett. They both claim that they saved one another. From there, we get to watch their story unfold.
I love Sawyer. Her personality is fun, she’s hardworking & determined. I want to be her friend, ya know? The way she carried herself so confidently, despite the fact that she was the “poor one” in the relationship. It was lovely to watch Julian & Sawyer learn how to love each other best.
Watching Julian protect Sawyer & care for her was just chefs kiss for me. I love a protective hero! I also love that he was not some asshole billionaire. His generous heart was lovely & refreshing, when in reality most billionaires seem to be just that — assholes.
Another amazing love story from T.D. Colbert. I’ll never stop screaming about how much I love her books. You should read them all!

So I read this because someone said in their review that the H doesn’t give them an ick. That’s not the case for me, I very much got the ick from this H because he’s fucking OM wives that’s fucking icky. I discovered TD Colbert a few years ago on Kindle, and blew through her backlog pretty quickly. I always enjoy her stories and jumped on this advanced reading copy of Old Money, the first in the Everett Brothers series.
I want to start by saying this book starts off pretty traumatically and the ARC I read did not include a trigger warning in the first few pages before the story began. I feel this story needs that, and I hope it is in for the publication day versions. The triggers include mass casualty situation on a college campus.
Next, I am not one for age gaps (but I don’t mind if the story isn’t fully told from that age gap perspective— like if I can read the book and feel the characters are ambiguously aged/not jammed down my throat the difference in age, I can still enjoy. And I feel this was able to do that.) The story didn’t hyper focus on the ages but more on the situation of connections due to the way they met.
While I started with my two “gripes,” I still really see the Sawyer and Julian pull and am hooked for the next two — Keaton and Brooks! The story was easy, engaging, and kept you turning the page. Overall, I rate it a rounded up 4. I love when an author can write stories that are layered, allow you to jump into a new world and root for the characters, and get my attention enough that I’m finishing the book in a day or two while teaching full time, and caring for my 4 children in the busy spring sports season. TD Colbert’s books are a guaranteed read on release, so thanks to TD Colbert for providing me this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion!

Ohhh emmm geee!! This book 😍😍 I finished this in less than 24 hours because I was so invested!! I couldn’t leave these two alone 😏 First I want to say how lucky I am to have gotten this ARC so thank you!! I absolutely loved it! Sawyer and Julian just go together. Ying and yang, Sun and moon, night and day. They just make sense. I love me a good age gap romance. I like how Julian acknowledges how it could be perceived and is cautious with Sawyer. And Sawyer! Queen!! I love how she is so independent, hard working and resilient! She is guarded when it comes to Julian and I loved watching their relationship blossom. The way she had the courage to speak up to Julian’s dad was absolutely amazing 🤣 Yes queen you put that man in his place! I thought the characters were great and well written. The book was very easy to follow and kept me hooked till the very end. I CANNOT wait for the next book because GIRRRRRRL the ending of the bonus prologue?!?! This is my first but definitely NOT my last T.D. Colbert book 🥰❤️

Los diálogos me causaron mucho cringe, y ella en todo momento utilizó la palabra “multimillonario” (en inglés, claro), y eso hizo que lo sintiera como una característica ridícula del protagonista. En general, la trama pintaba a ser muy buena pero se volvió todo muy ridículo y que no tenía sentido ni se sentía natural el como iban sucediendo las cosas. A pesar de eso, fue entretenido leerlo. Y ambos protagonistas fueron meh, había química pero no mucha.
Y, tomando en cuenta la sinopsis, pensé que habría más drama sobre el tema de ella aceptando ser una Everett, se supone que eso era lo importante y fueron razones muy ridículas las que dieron como excusa para pensarse. No sé, que toda la familia la trataría mal o que querrían humillarla, pero no, simplemente se trataba sobre no tener privacidad, lo cual era muy obvio.

Sawyer y Lucas se encuentran dentro de un Tiroteo en la universidad, Ambos se Salvan de alguna manera y ese evento los mantiene unidos que desarrollan sentimientos.
Fue un instalove bastante rapido y fuerte al parecer, ella era una Chica humilde que hacia todo por ella y su Madre al llegar Julian se suma ala familia y hace todo por ellos economicamente hablando.
Julian es un hombre mayor que a tenido bastantes experiencias malas en el amor debido a su dinero y posicion y al enamorarse de sawyer tiene las misma dudas para alguien que le preocupa el interes del dinero es de lo unico que hablan.
Sawyer quiere enseñarle que su amor es real y no superficial pero creo no se logra la quimica porque yo no la senti al leerlos mas bien era un intercambio el la ayudaba y ella se lo comia.
En fin me gusto ese final Feliz

this was such a good read! I blew through this and finished it in a day and a half.
Sawyer is a college student and has many sifferent scholarships. she tries very hard to work in order to pay for school. i loved the fact that she stood up to Julian's dad. the beginning of the book was so sad and tragic and I can't imagine what it's like to go through something like that. I felt so bad for Sawyer. it was great that Julian helped her get somewhere safe. and immediately you can tell that Julian has/is wanting to protect her at all costs.
he's a very popular billionaire and them being together is proving to be difficult due to who he is. I don't typically like age gap romances but both characters were written realistically and mature.

what can I say, I'm a sucker for billionaire romances, especially when the billionaire's as hot as Julian is. I enjoyed Sawyers and Julian's story, it was fun, sweet and steamy (looooove me some good smut) and they had some good chemistry.
But I wished the book was longer. Everything progressed rather fast for the amount of plot that was happening, making it seem a little bit rushed. Especially when Julian and Sawyer first got closer, so adding a few more pages wouldn't hurt.
Regardless it was a quick and fun read and definitely for those who love books that get to the point!
(I'm also a sucker for good side characters...bonus points if they are the funny brother of the mmc. Brooks I see you hehe)

Regardless it was a quick and fun read and definitely for those who love books that get to the point!
(I'm also a sucker for good side characters...bonus points if they are the funny brother of the mmc. Brooks I see you hehe)

I don’t want to spoil too much, but what a story! I didn’t want these two to end. A tragic situation put Sawyer into Julian’s path. Sawyer, a college student, young, fiercely independent, is now under Julian’s care. He takes it upon himself to be around her, take care of her. There is just something about her, she’s supposed to be in his life. These two are bonded from that awful day.
This first book in a series includes these Billionaire brothers, who are uber wealthy but also people have come into their lives with selfish interests and intentions. It’s hard to trust people and gauge their intent. I loved Julian & Sawyer’s chemistry! They are so so good together. I’ll say it again, I didn’t want it to end! I can’t wait for the next brother!

This is a new author to me and I enjoyed this story. It is a predictable older, richer man meets a younger, poorer college student and their relationship and romance begins. However it is not predictable as to how the characters become a couple and how they benefit and compliment each other. He is the kind and caring CEO and she is the sensible, intelligent and down to earth young woman, for whom money has no particular influence on her save for paying Bill's etc.
Their lives and upbringing are vastly different, but she grounds him and he in turn enjoys the pleasure of giving to her.
Loved her interaction with Cato..go girl! Disliked the cliff hanger type ending as I want them to get HEA and things are closing in around them. Looking forward to next miniseries.

Un poco fantasioso de maneras que incomodan. L chica es una real cazafortunas, y aunque no me parece algo malo, su actitud de mosquito muerta y morronga me dan urticaria. Esperaba algo con más carácter. Julian, nada q decir. Necesita seguir yendo a terapia y reorganizar sus prioridades, como no sé, buscarse una mujer de edad y que no trate de comprarla, casi literalmente hablando.
Sin embargo, leer sobre lujos y comodidades siempre es refrescante. Sobre todo, si es sobre dinero bien ganado

First book in Colbert's new "Everett Brothers" series. Enjoyed both the storyline and the main characters, Julian and Sawyer. Because I'm not a fan of big age gaps in romance novels, this one gave me pause. But even the 15-year gap didn't lessen my enjoyment of the love story between the billionaire and the 22-year-old college student.
I'm already signed up and eagerly awaiting the next book in the series!

Omg! What a read! Where oh where do I find Julian. Julian and Sawyer bond over a horrific tragedy. Julian was kind, patient and very generous. Sawyer is more the broke college student but with Julian’s help, she is finally able to heal. Without giving too much away, I would heed all trigger warnings first as this story could easily hit home. It was an emotional read, but extremely well written. I loved the story and the characters. I'd highly recommend!

okay let me just say I ATE this up, I read it so fast and loved it. it was honestly a 5⭐️ until I got to 90% in. the whole 3rd act situation threw me for a loop and the ending felt super rushed but overall I still really enjoyed it.

This enjoyable romance has drama, danger, attraction, chemistry, and opposites in financial security. The MCs are defined, likable, engaging, and good for one another. I liked this entertaining storyline. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.

When reading the book I was going with an open mind. I’m not normally a fan of age gaps but there are some really interesting books out there. This one took a while to really get into. Once you do it’s great. Their chemistry 🥵!

this is a nice quick read. trigger warning for mass shooting and violence. the writing was so easy to read and the chapters were the perfect length for me.
