All of me belongs to her — the woman who’s bound to me by the enemies we share, the blood we spill, and the obsession we crave.
When the love of my life was taken away from me, nothing could’ve stopped me from weaking havoc. I burned down New York to find her, watching as the flames wiped out the people who touched my butterfly.
Now that she’s back in my arms, I’ll never let her go. I’ll carve the path to her vengeance, and allow her to become the biggest monster to those who have hurt her.
Blair Hawke — the very woman who has me wrapped around her finger, who consumes my dreams, my reality, my entire being. My life revolves around her own, and nothing will stop me from taking what’s mine.
Because when I awaken the greed inside of her, the world will fear the wrath of Blair Hawke. And I’ll be the Ghost protecting her.
The moment Arlo laid eyes on Blair, he knew that she was hers and that he would do anything in his power to make her his. Being born into the infamous De Santis family didn't make him any less human. His father Hudson and mother Noelle have made sure that both their kids Aria and Arlo were raised with a lot of love and affection. So, even though Arlo was the Ghost of New York he had a soft spot for his girl.
But, now his Butterfly was snatched away from him and he would do anything, to bring her back and make the captors pay for their actions. Arlo is enraged and he is all set to burn the world for his Butterfly! Will Arlo reunite with his Butterfly? Is Blair's life in danger?
Read Sacred Hope to find out.
My Note: Thank you Kat King for sending a copy of this beautiful book. I can't believe that I got an Arc copy of this masterpiece, I mean the story was 10/10. The characters AWESOME, the plot AMAZING. The climax INSANE!!! I was so invested in Arlo and Blair's story since the first book and this book made me get closer to them. The action sequence, romance, everything was top notch! I can't wait to read the 3rd book and see what happens to them. Literary counting days. I absolutely loved this book, I hope you guys would enjoy it too.
Disclaimer: THIS BOOK IS A DARK ROMANCE NOVEL WHICH ALSO CONTAINS LOTS OF SENSITIVE SUBJECTS INCLUDING MURDER, GORE, SEXUAL EXPLOITATION, HUMAN TRAFFICKING, ADDICTION, VIOLENCE ETC...KINDLY GO THROUGH THE TRIGGER WARNINGS BEFORE READING IT ⚠️
This is the second book in the series, and it just keeps getting better. There’s absolutely no break— it’s trauma, plot twist, chaos, repeat — and somehow Kat makes it all feel addictive. I was glued to my seat and finished the entire thing in about five hours, because putting it down simply wasn’t an option.💙
I loved Arlo and Blair, but Hudson and Noelle have my whole heart. Truly, no one can beat them. My love for them is incomparable. I freaking adore them beyond words. 😭And the emotional roller coaster this book put me through? I was not prepared. The twists, the heartbreak, the intensity… it was all pure wow. Not one single dull moment.😭😭
And that ending? Thank God I read Kortlek first, because otherwise I would’ve cried even harder. Kat scared the absolute shit out of me for a moment, but remembering this scene takes place before Kortlek saved my soul 😭😭.
Also, Blair? I love that woman. She is so strong. I thought Arlo was already obsessed and crazy for her in book one, but nothing prepared me for how unhinged and downright feral he gets here. This man literally burned half of New York just to find her. My god. 😭 The De Santis men never do anything half-heartedly, and honestly, I love them for it.
Scarred Hope picks up right where Scarred Sins shattered us. Blair is missing, Arlo is barely holding himself together, and the entire De Santis fam is falling apart at the seams. The book throws you straight into survival mode with them, showing the brutal aftermath of everything that went wrong and the fragile hope they are all clinging to. Honestly, this book was messy, painful, emotional, and impossible to stop reading (yes I did binge it within hours!).
“I can hear the sound of our heartbeats syncing, and if I didn’t know it earlier, I know it now — this man is my entire life.”
Let me start off by saying that Arlo and Blair are the definition of a sacred love. Their bond feels almost ethereal, hell I'd even say otherworldly at times. But this second book puts that love through fire. Arlo’s race against time to get to Blair made my heart ache so bad and I could feel every ounce of his pain on the page. His longing, his desperation, his absolute refusal to give up on the love of his life carried every chapter. Blair on the other hand broke me so bad. Her strength, her sweetness, her hidden yet exposed secrets that terrified me, all of it made me want to hold her close and shake her at the same time. She is so lovable and so heartbreaking and I just wish she knew her own worth. Their love is powerful, fragile, and devastating in this one but this kind of sacred love is worth the pain.
“She’s mine, always and forever.”
Of course, what I adore most about this trilogy is that it never feels like it is only about Arlo and Blair. It is about the entire De Santis family as a whole...their heartbreak, their madness, their love, and the way they fall apart only to fight their way back to each other. We have seen them through all the highs, lows, and downright feral devotion they hold for one another throughout the books in this universe and this one was no different. I’m not going to spoil anything but Noelle and Hudson’s struggles, Aria’s heartbreaking spiral, Arlo’s guilt, and Blair’s secrets, it was like everyone was carrying wounds this time around.
That last chapter left me absolutely reeling…I had to sit there and just breathe for a minute. The emotional cliff this book ends on is intense but the only thing keeping me sane is knowing that Kortlek exists, which means somehow in some way, things will eventually fall into place. I’m not gonna lie, it was a tough read but I know happiness is around the corner. Kat King has crafted a trilogy that breaks you and heals you all at once and Scarred Hope was an angsty gut punch (in the best possible way!). April can’t come soon enough!
Honestly, I don’t even know if words could ever do this book justice. I finished it weeks ago, and I’m still trying to process it. Arlo will forever be one of my favorite male characters EVER written. Arlo’s love… it's fierce, unyielding & completely consuming. Just like his father, his love is limitless. It will consume you, wreck you & leave you in awe all at once.
The character growth in this book is STUNNING. From book 1, we saw glimpses of Arlo’s softer side, reserved only for the people he loves. Now, that love has become relentless, all consuming & merciless in the best possible way. And Blair… my sweet, brave Blair. She has grown into her own strength & resilience. Watching her rise into her own power, shedding her past pain & emerges courageous, unbreakable, unapologetically herself was BREATHTAKING.
Every emotional moment in this book hits so hard. If Scarred Sins hurts you, Sacred Hope will RUIN you. It’s heart-wrenching, gripping & overwhelming. My chest ached, my heart raced & yet the pain hurts so good! The intensity of the love, the stakes, the vulnerability? It all lingers long after the last page. You’ll smile, scream & cry the entire time.
Kat, you never fail to amaze me. Your characters & story always feels raw, real & have this ability to get me emotionally attached. Your stories will forever live in my heart. YOU ARE INSANELY, INCREDIBLY TALENTED.
Sacred Hope by Kat King completely wrecked me. I thought I was ready for the next part of Arlo and Blair’s story, but I was absolutely not. This book took everything from Scarred Sins and cranked it up the emotions, the chaos, the heartbreak, and the connection between them that’s somehow even more intense this time around. My praise kink was WOKEN up and getting to see Arlo in a different way, being intimate with his girl BUTTERFLIES! 🦋
Arlo is still that possessive, protective, morally gray man who would burn down the world for his girl, and I love him for it. He’s ruthless, raw, and so deeply in love it hurts to read. Blair continues to be one of my favorite heroines strong, fearless, and constantly fighting her way through every dark moment life throws at her. She doesn’t just survive, she fights back.
The story itself is wild action, danger, and heartbreak wrapped in scenes that had me gripping my Kindle like it owed me money. And the spice? Five out of five, easily. It’s not just hot, it’s emotional and addictive. Every scene between Arlo and Blair is full of tension and power and pure obsession.
Kat King has completely mastered dark romance with heart. This book broke me, healed me, and left me begging for book three. I’m not ready to let go of these two, and I need to know what happens next right now.
Kat has done it again This was such a good book it exceeded my expectations The series is only getting better and I can only imagine what is in store for us in the next book
Oh that ending I am once again needing answers My mind is creating theories that are all over the place but I am here for it
This book gave me all the gasps and tears, I was shouting "I knew it", kicking my feet, saying "aww" and "WTF". I was definitely hit with the range of emotions throughout this one
What Blair goes through is something no one should ever experience yet she feels guilty for how it effects those around her.
Arlo on the other hand blames himself for everything that happens to those around him and he puts himself in a bad situation because of it
This book is filled with nonstop chaos and then the plot twists are freaking twisting. You cannot read this without feeling immersed into this world, you become addicted to the pages, you are there with the characters with every word and it makes it absolutely worth every reading second
I must saying knowing information from other books I have read by Kat has truly messed with my mind. I had a bit of a spiral, ok maybe it was more than a bit... And now I dont know what to think. I cannot believe we have to wait for the next book, I dont know if I have the patience, but I guess I have no choice
this was.. holy crap kat kept me on the edge of my seat with this one… I can’t even begin to express how much I cried and threw my kindle. arlo & blair never disappoint, they have the kind of love that could only be described as soulmates. I mean… the man massacred an entire prison for her. If that doesn’t say love I don’t know what does. that cliffhanger had me sobbing. most of this book had me sobbing. this author will always be a must read for me. her book capture you with a single page/chapter and this one was no different. I can’t wait for the third book! I need my answers. I need my closure from all the pain.
Sacred Hope by Kat King absolutely obliterated me. 😭 I walked in thinking I was mentally armored for the next chapter of Arlo and Blair’s story—turns out, I was laughably unprepared. This book doesn’t just pick up where Scarred Sins left off; it tears open every wound, floods every emotion, and then drags you deeper into the chaos with a grin. The heartbreak? Sharper. The intensity? Unhinged. The connection between them? So potent it feels like it could split the earth in two.
Reading this felt like being swept into a storm with no chance of finding the ground again. There isn't a single slow or empty second. Arlo and Blair have never once let me down—they radiate that rare, soul-deep kind of love that feels destined. And honestly… the man wiped out an entire prison for her 😌 If that isn’t love, I truly don’t think anything is.
‼️THIS IS A DARK ROMANCE.. CHECK THE TRIGGERS. YOUR MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS‼️
Good god, Kat. What are you doing to my emotions?! I love this entire universe that you have created. Before reading this book, people definitely need to read the others in the series. There are a lot of key elements that you won't understand unless you at least read the first book in the Divine Gore Trilogy: Scarred Sins.
What can I say without spoiling too much? This story is a wild ride. It keeps you on your toes the whole time. Blair has gone through a lot, but then in book 2 Arlo, and his entire family goes through a lot as well. The family is in trouble, and so is the entire organization that his parents built from the ground, up. It's chaotic, but easy to follow with how Kat writes it.
You will feel really connected to the reality of the characters in this book, so please read the TWs. I will always recommend these books, but there are some dark elements and if you are not in a good headspace, just wait to read them. I promise, it is worth the wait.
HOLY SHIT WHAT A FUCKING RIDE THAT WAS. KAT KING, YOU DID IT ONCE AGAIN. Masterpieces after masterpieces istg.
6/5 stars all the freaking way.
This book was heavy. Made me cry, made me GASP ALOT, made me smile, made me cry (yes twice), so be prepared everyone. I can't wait for book 3 to come so that I'll finally see Arlo and Blair and everyone finally getting rest because they need it and they deserve it. It's hard to talk about this book without spoilers so, all I can say is that this book is fucking amazing and the twists really fucking shocked me.
Anyways, have fun reading when it comes out everyone <3 make sure to always read the trigger warnings first because your mental health is always more important.
ARC REVIEW 5 stars! Wow. Just wow. And I mean that in the best way. Scarred Sins (Book 1 in the Divine Gore Trilogy) was already pretty good but Sacred Hope? I have literally no words for how I'm feeling right now after finishing this book. It had me feeling all the emotions. I cried, I laughed, I giggled and I was furious. If you haven't already started reading the Divine Gore Trilogy, do that right now. Book 3 can't come soon enough, I am already so excited!
The chemistry, the experience, the journey. The emotions. Everything. I loved reading about Arlo and Blair again and their adventure with each other.
I love Arlo so much, he is such a little bloody golden retriever to Blair and adores her so much it makes me happy. He will stop at nothing to get her. Which she should have realized at the very end.
And Blair? Oh my strong girl. She’s been through some stuff and is still a badass and fighting her way through everything. As she should.
She has boundaries set? Arlo follows and accepts them. He has boundaries set? She follows and accepts them.
While yes it is a dark romance, it’s a green flag one. Yes there is taboo topics and dark themes. But both of our main characters respect and cherish each other more than anything. And if one wants to stop? They stop.
ALSO!!! Wtf was that about Hudson going to jail and Noelle getting shot? My parents better make it out in the next book.
Needless to say I am very impatient for the next one

Kat King likes to bring me pain I swear. This second book really throws you back into the world with Arlo and Blair and I do love how fast paced it was. At times since there was just so much happening and there was never a break with these events happening, it felt a little overwhelming and some parts I felt like there were some holes, but overall such a binge-able read. The last chapter broke me so I hope I get all those answers in the final book!
First off can I say that I couldn't put this down this held me captive and I couldn't wait to see where it was all the questions I had from book two were answered only to be left WITH MORE!. Where have you taken my soul Kat 🥹?
Please read triggers this isn't for the light-hearted BAMN
I loved the continuation of Blair and Arlo's story in Sacred Hope, which is book 2 in the trilogy of their love story. This couple has been through it. Oh my goodness, I went through so many emotions during this book. My heart hurt and then my heart was happy and both of these characters struggled so hard in this book and had so much trauma that they needed to work through. I loved reading the scenes where Blair came more into her own and got back her power and control and got her revenge on the people that hurt her which will be continuing into book 3. Kat left us with another cliffhanger that has me foaming at the mouth for book three. There were a few twists that I did not see coming. I absolutely loved and was so excited that Hudson got a chapter. One thing that I love about every book in this world is that Kat always somehow incorporates Hudson's allergy into all of these books, and it has me cackling every single time.
~ARC review~ Ever since Arlo laid eyes on Blair, he knew that she was his. He planned to do anything in his power to make her his. Arlo is still possessive/protective/morally gray man. He would literally burn down the world for his girl. He’s so ruthless and deeply in love with Blair.

Whatta thrill!! This book just goes head first right back to it. There is no time to put this book down! With twists, thrills, chills and Heat I simply could not step away from turning the next page. Highly recommend this book or course this is book 2 and I would say go back and read book 1 first. As always please be aware of author notes for content awareness.
Book two in the Divine Gore Trilogy, pieced my heart back together, and then ripped it out again at the end. Arlo and Blair are so amazing, their devotion to one another throughout this series just warms my heart. I cannot wait to read book three! Please check your triggers prior to picking up this amazing series!
