A collection of nine short stories written by nine different authors with the stories centering around 1990’s country music songs ranging from second Chance romances to paranormal with some being sweet and clean and others reaching a much more higher spice level.

1. Little Red Rodeo by Ellison Lane (Song written by Phil Vassar released by Collin Raye in 1997)
A second chance romance between college student Collyn Ledger and rodeo bull rider Ray Presley where he finds himself chasing her across the state to get her back. A clean charming relationship story between these two makes for a pleasing read. A bull riding competition, a fast-paced road trip, some helpful elderly ladies and lots of cowboy charm make this book a delight.
2. I’ve Got You by Alexandra Grace
I absolutely loved the emotional bonding between the two main characters in this book. Warner Douglas has recently been medically discharged from the Army because of an incurable blood circulation disorder, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia (thank you to the Arthur for bringing awareness to this disorder in a very realistic and heartfelt way). He’s finding working and life in general to be very difficult yet he still steps up to aid a damsel in distress when Campbell Leigh’s long-time boyfriend gets called out for cheating on her. When Warner effortlessly takes control of the scene beginning to spiral out of control and then later tenderly cares for her, Campbell can’t help but be pulled to him. A toss of a coin, fate or a magnetic pull too hard to ignore continues to pull the two towards each other resulting in one of the best emotionally supportive love stories I’ve read this year.
3. Bonus Baby by C.M. Kane
This is a slightly steamier secret baby second chance romance happening with a separation gap of almost eight years between professional baseball player Heath Tennyson and the woman he’s always loved Danielle “Dani” Lloyd. Dani left Heath, their hometown and her family, ghosting everyone while moving in with her aunt in Arizona only to look up and find Heath in the bakery shop she works in almost eight years later. What a surprise but Heath is about to get an even bigger and better surprise. This story is fairly predictable how it plays out but it offers some really caring moments between Heath and Dani and some really sweet “aww” moments between him and a special surprise in his life.
4. Commas and Cowboys by Vicki Hilton
This Vicki Hilton gem is about romance author Lillian Duval, real name Lilly Bundock, suffering from writer’s block returning to her hometown, Braden’s Ditch, after being gone fifteen years and leaving behind the man, Joseph “Joe” Dufrain, who has been the inspiration behind the man in her last book and his traits had found their way into all her heroes. And, yes, Joe is still in town and his life is different, he has a beautiful daughter, Elle, but somethings have not changed and when he comes face-to-face with his “Lil” once again, he’s not sure how to handle it. This one has it all…the heartbreak, the breathtaking reunion, a horseback ride that’s…well….that’s just perfect, romance, slightly spicier moments along with some humorous moments, sweet moments with Elle and a faithful dog, and some bad timing from Lilly’s assistant adding to the overall enjoyment of this book.
5. I Still Believe In You by Arianna Quinn
This is definitely the steamiest of the first five books and has country music megastar Lila Valentine having her own personal bodyguard (in more ways than one) with Mike Robbins, Army veteran and owner of Auburn Security Solutions, taking care of all her needs after a stalker tries to kidnap her. This one stars Mike as a strong alpha male with the possessive protective gene running strong and Lila is strong and a force to be reckoned with but knows she can show her vulnerable side to Mike and willing to let him take charge.
6. Revival by Carlie Wells
This is rather shorter than the previous six but it delivers just as well on being a delight and ranks close to the previous book in steam factor. The prologues were especially endearing with teenagers Sadie Carson and Hunter Collins experiencing their crush on each other and a sweet kiss. Then years pass and Sadie is returning to Endurance, Texas as a songwriter suffering from writer’s block and severe remorse for how she left things with Hunter. However, I must admit the ending left me wanting more.
7. All the Broken Things (A Sanders Hollow Ranch Prequel) by J. Hutchinson
This story is different than the others in that it’s about a married couple of seven years with the wife, Juliette, struggling with being shown love and still cherished by her husband, Calvin, and not taken for granted. A beautiful story of Calvin striving to fix the broken parts of his marriage and Juliette realizing that he’s not the only one that needs fixing.
8. Summer Spells by K.D. Smalls
This is a paranormal with the southern girl witch, Viva, falling in love with the handsome nephew, Sam, visiting his aunt and uncle in her hometown but be prepared for a devastating event to break your heart and cause you to see red.
9. Between Love & the Land by Penelope Paige
This last second chance after twelve years gets hot, fast and furious with plenty of southern charm, sass and alpha dominant banter to go along. Linley Kate (LK) returns home to her Gran’s home after her passing to find the man she loved and left behind, Ben McClendon, there waiting for her on the front porch. LK is struggling but she knows she needs one thing from Ben and she doesn’t hesitate to ask and after only a hint of hesitation he’s not turning her down but he’s got a plan to have LK needing more than one thing. Yes, hot, fast, furious ends this great collection of nine unique stories, each unique in their own way but all intriguing enough to grab one’s attention from the beginning and never letting go.

4.5* - Rounded up to 5...

This was a fabulous anthology... I enjoyed each of the nine stories, and the overall feel. I did also enjoy the variety of spice levels...

1 - Little Red Rodeo:
Collyn and Ray's story was so sweet... I enjoyed the Rodeo aspect. It's always interesting to see the miscommunication trope in the New Adult age range, and to watch the characters grow and learn from the experience. There were some really cute scenes in this story (I loved the picnic scene), and I really enjoyed the ending...

2 - I've Got You:
This story really hits you in the feels... It deals with some difficult topics, so I'd suggest readers check the content/trigger warnings if possible. That said, Warner is an absolute sweetie! And Campbell as well... I love their meet cute and enjoyed watching their friendship grow. Their connection is intense, and I loved how they supported, encouraged and uplifted each other. And what a fabulous ending!

3 - Bonus Baby:
This story also packed a punch... And again - a reminder that kids finishing high school or starting college are still just kids... Tough decisions were made by Heath and Dani, and watching the consequences to those decisions can be rough but can also be rewarding when handled maturely. Paisley was also SUPER cute, and I loved seeing Heath's connection with her. So heartwarming...

4 - Commas and Cowboys:
This is a fabulous example of a second chance romance, especially combined with a secret identity... Lily and Joe's emotions around their current scenario were so well portrayed and made for a great read. Add in the fabulous HEA and you have an amazing way to pass some time...

5 - I Still Believe In You:
Robbins and Lila's story is a fabulous combination of the Rockstar/Bodyguard tropes. Their connection is strong and sparky and intense! I enjoyed their instant connection before they even knew the truth about each other, and I loved how Robbins truly supported and accepted Lila as herself. A really fun read!

6 - Revival:
Sadie and Hunter's story isn't complete... It ends on a cliffhanger - so I'll be watching for the rest of their story... But this prequel certainly pulls you into Sadie and Hunter's emotions, and sets the stage for a great story...

7 - All the Broken Things:
Juliette and Calvin's story hit me hard! Marriage is not easy, and this story reminds readers of the need to work on your relationship and not take things for granted. Life can certainly get in the way, and we allow ourselves to get into too much of a rut, we don't appreciate what we have, and we start to re-write reality so that it suits our personal narratives, rather than remembering that marriage isn't 50/50 - it's 100/100, and it needs constant work. This was a really great story, and I loved how it ended... This is also a prequel to a series, which I will be looking to read in the future...

8 - Summer Spells:
This paranormal/witch-y story was a pleasant surprise in the anthology! Sam and Genevieve are so sweet together. I really loved the connection and relationship. And the unexpected twists kept the story interesting and made for a fabulous HEA. And a great introduction for me to K.D. Smalls. I'll definitely be checking out more of her work in the future.

9 - Between Love & the Land:
Linley and Ben's story is another great second chance romance. A great example of the "if you love them, let them go" sentiment and in this case the "and they'll come back to you" part of that phrase comes true. The spice, sass and banter were fun, and I enjoyed watching these characters reconnect and accept their new realities.

So overall, this anthology was a really great read, and one that I'll be re-reading in the future as well.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

If you love '90s country music, and always wanted a story to go with some of your favorite songs, then this anthology is for you!

Little Red Rodeo by Ellison Lane ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was the cutest story! Ray & Collyn have a second chance at a relationship, and while I don't want to go into too much detail and give away the whole story, I can say there is a very large miscommunication. I won't say anymore, but just know this story has a happy ending!

I've Got You by Alexandra Grace ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I loved Warner and Campbell's story! Fate definitely had a hand in their chance encounters, and each one was so heartwarming! Both Warner and Campbell help each other in uncomfortable situations, whether it is a run in with a terrible boyfriend, a health scare in the dark, or extremely rude family members, they continue to show up for one another. Warner teaches her she can be strong and stand up for herself, and Campbell teaches him that no matter your situation you can be loved so deeply.

Bonus Baby by C.M. Kane ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
Another heartfelt story? Ok! This time we meet Heath and Dani. Their story starts 8 years ago, with them going their separate directions. Heath's dream is to play baseball, and Dani just wants to be out from under parents. Fate has another plan when Heath ends up playing baseball in Texas where Dani lives. They meet again by happenstance, and Dani realizes she has to tell Heath her very big secret. If you want to know more, you'll have to read this story, because I don't want to give it away!

Commas and Cowboys by Vicki Hilton ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lily and Joe's story was the best version of "She's in Love with the Boy"! Lily's dad didn't approve of Joe, and took her away to New York where she becomes a romance author. Now 15 years later, she's back in town and sparks and strawberries fly! Lily and Joe have to work through what happened in the past, but they definitely come out on top and are able to still follow their dreams, together this time.

I Still Believe In You by Arianna Quinn ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ooooh a romantic suspense? Sign. Me. Up! I couldn't stop reading Robbins and Lila's story - it was page turning at it's finest! I had to know what was going to happen next, and I could read more and more chapters about the two of them!

Revival by Carlie Wells ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A second chance romance that hits all the major stops! Wow - Hunter and Sadie made me so happy! From the moment at the grocery store all the way to the end, they stole my heart!

All The Broken Things by J. Hutchison ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow. I have never needed to read something more than I have this story of Calvin and Juliette. Do you ever have a book just resonate with you? I loved Cal and Jules working through this rough patch in their relationship, and the realization that they can get through anything together really hit home for me.

Summer Spells by K.D. Smalls ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
This was such a good story! I really loved Viva and Sam falling in love, and them spending every second together down by the creek. I wasn’t entirely sure how it was going to end, but I was pleasantly surprised!

Between Love and the Land by @penpaigebooks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ben & L.K. were such a good couple! High school sweethearts broken up over different dreams who reconnect years later? Ugh - so good! I love how they were both focused on wanting to make sure the other was happy in the end! It certainly pulls at your heartstrings!

Little Red Rodeo
3.5⭐️
Cute quick country read. Rodeo guy gets attention of the girl who got away and it’s a quick romance wth a problem that arises. Boy chases girl, cute ending.

I’ve Got You
4⭐️
I really liked this one. Army vet with medical issues in bad financial situations meets rich girl. They hit it off but their lives get in the way. Can what they feel overcome the problems that arise in their lives. Can they fight it together or will it fall apart? Overall a great quick read! At times I found myself like Sebastian from the Little Mermaid, and “KISS THE GIRL”. Cute story definitely need to read!

Bonus Baby
3.25 ⭐️
Quick read. It was cute story where old lovers reunite but there’s a nice little bonus now. Will they let it get between them or push through together? The story seemed a little rushed for me. Lots of things happened in the span of a day and I got a little whiplash. Overall still a cute short story.

Commas and Cowboys
4⭐️
Now this was a really cute books. Old lovers, reunite and despite past grievances feelings, and unexplainable heat is still between them. New York author, and small town cowboy well they pushed through and be together or let distance continue to separate them? It was honestly a story that kept me intrigued. The flow of the story was well written. The book had very cute romance scenes as well as some good spicy scenes. This is the first book that I’ve read from this author and I am a fan. I’m excited to see what else she has written. Do not miss out on this one.

I Still Believe In You
3.75⭐️
Wow, this book was spicy. It was hot and just what I needed. Bodyguard romance is the type of romance we always need. The characters were written well. There was a lot of back-and-forth, which frustrated me a little, but overall, it was a good story. It's a good hot read that you have to check out!

Revival
3.75⭐️
It was a super quick read, and I really liked the buildup. I did feel like the story was rushed, but it was still pretty good. I am upset it ended on a cliffhanger, and I left wanting more. Friends to lovers with second-chance romance vibes. Hunter is literally my guy, and I need one of him ASAP!

All the Broken Things
3.5⭐️
This was a different take on the cowboy romance. Couple married and problems arise. She finally has enough. Can he fix it or does he lose his wife? Is she fault free? It was a good story. A little back and forth for me. But overall pretty good.

Summer Spells
4⭐️
Quick read.. but OMG my heart!! This story had me turning page after page. Cowgirl/witch meets new boy who has come to town and they quickly become a thing. It is HOT and oh sooo sweet but something happens and oh does your heart hurt. That ending seemed a little rushed but definitely was needed. You really need to read this one!

Between Love & the Land
3.75⭐️
This last story was just HOT. A much needed story to end this book. Second chance lovers and honestly a goodie. I went through this story so fast. I’m bummed it’s over. Definitely don’t miss out!

Song: The Moon Over Georgia by Shenandoah

This is an author that has moved to the top of my list. If you need a good smut read this is for you !! This book is all of that but it was still really good !!!

This sweet, small-town cowboy romance ropes you in with a bronc-riding heartthrob and a girl who’s terrified of falling for a man who seems like trouble. One night, one misunderstanding, and she bolts—but he isn’t letting her go that easy. He shows up, lays his heart out, and the swoon kicks into full gear. I loved the emotional payoff, but I would’ve happily stuck around for one more chapter just to see them months down the road, still tangled in love and dusted in rodeo magic.
Rating: 🤠🤠🤠🤠(4⭐️)
Spice: 🫑 (swoony kissing)

I've Got You
This emotionally grounded romance follows Warner Douglas, a recently medically discharged Army vet battling Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia, as he unexpectedly becomes the calm in Campbell Leigh’s storm after her boyfriend’s betrayal. Despite struggling with his own challenges, Warner’s protective instincts and quiet strength shine through, creating a magnetic connection that neither of them can ignore. While the story takes a bit to find its footing, the slow burn ultimately delivers a tender, supportive love story that feels both heartfelt and healing.

Spice: 🫑🫑 (kissing and some propositioning)
T/W: Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (on page), infidelity (on page), use of pejorative terms for women (on page)

Bonus Baby
This second-chance, secret baby romance brings baseball star Heath face-to-face with the one who got away—and the daughter he never knew he had. While there are sweet moments and undeniable chemistry between Heath and Dani, the pacing felt off, jumping from years of buildup to a rushed reunion, instant “I love yous,” and a fast-forward to their wedding. I struggled with how easily the secret was brushed aside and wished we had more time to see Heath and his daughter genuinely bond. A touching premise, but I wanted more from the emotional payoff.
Rating: 🎀🎀. 💐 (2.75⭐️)
Spice: 🌶️.🫑 (kissing, brief smexy time in epilogue (no real descriptions))

Commas and Cowboys
This story is a warm, wildflower-swept second chance romance that had me swooning from page one. When bestselling author Lilly returns to her small hometown for a documentary, she’s forced to face the grumpy cowboy muse she left behind—Joe, the man who’s unknowingly starred in all her love stories. Between slow dances, horseback rides, and one magical night under the stars, their reunion is tender, spicy, and full of heart. With charming small-town vibes, a sassy kid, and a dog who just gets it, this book is everything I want in a romance.

This Anthology is made up of 9 fantastic stories of various lengths, by 9 different authors. Most of these authors I have never read anything from before, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading them all.

Little red rodeo - Ellison Lane
A story of misunderstandings and second chances. This was my first time reading one of Ellison's books and I really enjoyed it. I was hooked from the beginning.

I've got you - Alexandra Grace
Such a sweet story. I loved both characters in this, they were both independently strong, but together they were able to show their weaknesses and support each other. It was very well written, I enjoyed it.

Bonus baby - CM Kane
Love a secret baby story, and I really enjoyed this one. My only negative is that we went straight from him being introduced to Paisley as her father to the epilogue, after the build up to that meeting I feel like we could have got more of their relationship before the wedding.

Commas and cowboys - vicki hilton
Such a sweet second chance at romance story. I loved the book within a book element. Characters were all amazing, especially Mrs Culver and her knowing looks.

I still believe in you - Arianna Quinn
Fantastic story. Very well written. I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and the characters. Lila is strong and independent, but knows he is there to save her when needed. Robbins is the possessive alpha male with the soft centre. Safe to say, after reading this I am definitely a fan of Arianna's now.

Revival - Carlie Wells
Really enjoyed this story, it's a sweet second chance love story. The only disappointment, it ends with a cliffhanger.

All the broken things - J.Hutchison
Aw wow. This story hits you right in the feels. It's such a relatable story that focuses on a married couple with real life problems, trying to navigate life and marriage and everything in between. Definitely shed a few tears with this one.

Summer spells - K.D. Smalls
This was a first for me, witches, however it's not the main story. Yes it is connected, and yes it is the reason for the drama, but the main story is Viva and Sam and their love story which was so sweet. I was hooked from the start. Although I was slightly disappointed by the abrupt ending.

Between love & the land - Penelope Paige
Lovely story of a second chance at love. Really liked the characters in this, although I can't help but feel we only got a happy for now ending.

I had the absolute privilege of being able to read this Anthology as part of an ARC team, in exchange for for my own honest review. I am grateful for the opportunity and feel like I have some new authors to add to my list of must reads ❤️

Ellison Lane - Little Red Rodeo- ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love the characters in this story. They are believable and relate able.

The chapters are WAY too long, as a reader who sets chapter goals each day for my reading it was way too hard to so with the chapters so long.

Alexandra Grace - I've Got You ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love Campbell and Warner. I love how they compliment each other in personality. A predictable ending, but I loved it.

C.M. Kane - Bonus baby ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Even though some of the characters reactions were far fetched, I still wish this was being made into a full novel. I really enjoyed this story and I was sad when it ended.

Vicki Hilton - Commas and Cowboys ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the second book of Vicki Hilton's that I have read and I have quite enjoyed it. Easy to read, believable characters and a lovely story of love lost. I didn't want it to end.

Arianna Quinn - I Still Believe In You ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love Mike and Lily! I feel like the characters in this book could easily fit into an episode of Nashville. Easy to read and left me wanting more!

Carlie Wells - Revival
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A good way to start a novel, but I'll be hanging waiting for the actual story to be told. I hate books that end on a cliffhanger.

J. Hutchison - All The Broken Things
⭐️⭐️⭐️

I found this book triggering because my ex husband was very much like Calvin was in the beginning. The difference was that Calvin fought for his marriage. Not a bad story, but not my favourite in the anthology.

K.D. Smalls - Summer Spells
⭐️⭐️

This story had potential, but it lacked any real substance. It hinted at magic but then left me wanting more than a couple of fires.

Penelope Paige - Between Love And The Land
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wow can Penelope write a sex scene! I liked the storyline of this one and the characters were well written too. Sad it's over.

I have never heard the term "Madder than a wet hen" until I read this anthology. It was used so many times across the 9 stories!

This anthology hit me right in the 90s country feels 🎶💛 — every story had something special, and the variety kept me hooked all the way through!

I’ve Got You
This story hits hard. Sure, the FMC is crazy rich (definitely not me 😂), but the way she handles relationships felt so real and relatable. That quote — “Too often, I used sex to fill a void in my life, believing it would help someone love me.” — oof. That one stuck with me.

Bonus Baby
Such a cute, fast-paced story! Perfect little palate cleanser between some of the deeper reads. 💕

Commas and Cowboys
Loved this one — a romance writer finding her long-lost romance? Adorable. Definitely made me smile. 🤠💌

Little Red Rodeo
Sweet second-chance romance that totally delivered on heart and nostalgia.

I Still Believe in You
Loved the little Bodyguard quip/tidbit in this one! The bodyguard/singer romance setup? I’m so here for it. 🎤💞

Revival
Ugh, the cliffhanger! How dare they do that to us 😭

All the Broken Things
Loved this one because it shows that marriage isn’t easy — but it’s worth fighting for. 💔💞

Summer Spells
That ending had me shocked! I did not see it coming at all 😳

Between Love & The Land
Sweet, steamy, and heartfelt — a beautiful story about first love never lost. ❤️

This anthology was a total emotional rollercoaster (in the best way). It had everything — heart, heat, second chances, and those perfect 90s country vibes that made me want to grab a glass of sweet tea and listen to Reba on repeat. 🎵☀️

I loved this collection of nine nostalgic 90s country songs brought to life in form of short romance novels (8 contemporary romances and one witchy romance) ranging in all levels of spice. The emotions ran deep and the swoons were endless. I enjoyed each one so much, and loved that song connections but that each are stand-alones with varying levels of spice.
1 Little Red Rodeo by Ellis Lane: I was singing this song in my head as I read! Really set the tone for the sweet anthology.
2 I’ve Got You by Alexandra Grace: this could be/should be made into a movie.
3 Bonus Baby by CM Kane: Fun sports romance, the little girl was adorable.
4 Commas and Cowboys by Vicki Hilton: Inside scoop on authors is always a check in the box!
5 I Still Believe in You by Arianna Quinn: Love a gruff personae man with a teddy bear heart.
6 Revival Carlie Wells: The will they won’t they had me on the edge of my seat.
7 All the Broken Things by J Hutchinson: first marriage in crisis book that I really liked!
8 Summer Spells by K.D. Smalls: the witchy aspect was fun and not over the top.
9 The Magnolia Moon by Penelope Paige: super spicy with a sweet message. Great ending to the anthology.
4.5 overall stars
Thanks to the authors for the eARC

If you are a lover of 90s country music, I think you will enjoy these stories just as much as I have. 9 different stories from 9 different authors ranging from a cute romance to very spicy, there’s a little something for everybody. Cute cowboys, lonely soldiers, love struck baseball players and more. These stories had me wanting more of each. My top 3 stories here were Commas and Cowboys, Bonus Baby, and Little Red Rodeo, although I must say it was truly difficult to pick a top 3.

Bonus Baby:
A beautiful story about a young couple separated at highschool graduation destined for different things but brought back together several years later at the power of love.

Commas and Cowboys:
Author sent back to her tiny hometown as a P.R stunt runs into her old love and their old favorite ice cream spot. Rekindling love they never really lost for each other after 15 years.

Little Red Rodeo:
College crushes both think they are not good enough for the other. Start with a cute little date followed by a terrible misunderstanding at the rodeo. Can he catch up to her when she leaves in the middle of the night to profess his love for her and win her back?

This has something for EVERYONE! Some of the stories weren't my cup of tea and some I completely devoured. I assure you, there is at least one (likely most) of the stories you will enjoy!

Some of my 5 stars were:
1. Commas and Cowboys (Vicki Hilton) -- I loved everything about this. The characters were so lovable and I was invested in their story so much. This is what a cowboy romance was meant to be. The second chance was beautiful and the mmc was such a cinnamon roll. I enjoy everything this author writes. [5⭐️2🌶️]

2. All The Broken Things (J. Hutchison)-- I was so invested in these characters and their fight for their marriage. I was rooting so hard for them to mend their rift. I was so attached to these characters and I loved how they both realize they had a part to play in their marriage failing. Love how they found their way back together in the end. Plus Cal was 🥵. [5⭐️3🌶️]

3. Between Love and the Land (Penelope Paige)--very explosive and quick read. Loved the characters and Ben 🌶🥵. [5⭐️3🌶️]

Anthology ARC Review – Neon Lights and Country Nights 🌟🌟🌟.5
This anthology brings together a collection of swoony, small-town romances—with cowboys, second chances, rockstars, and more. While each story stands on its own, the fact that they’re bundled together made it feel like one huge read. It was a bit daunting at times—like I wasn’t making progress even when I was flying through stories. But that’s also a credit to how immersive some of these were.
There were definitely stories I didn’t want to end—I could’ve happily read full-length versions of a few. Others wrapped up just right, offering satisfying snapshots of love, healing, and connection.
Overall, this anthology delivers sweet, heartfelt, and sometimes steamy romance moments set against a charming backdrop of neon lights and country nights. 🌟🤠💫

Neon Lights & Country Nights Anthology is everything I love about romance packed into one vibrant, addictive collection! Every story delivers its own flavor of heat, heart, and small-town charm, and I couldn’t stop flipping pages.

Whether it’s a spicy cowboy stealing hearts under the stars or a city girl falling for a man with boots and a bad-boy grin, this anthology brings ALL the swoon. Some stories had me laughing, some had me crying, and a few made me want to pack my bags for a rodeo weekend!

This collection is a reminder of why I adore romance—second chances, fiery chemistry, emotional depth, and happily ever afters that leave you grinning. You’ll find unforgettable characters, powerful women, and country boys who know how to make you melt.

A must-read for any romance lover. 10/10 would ride this rodeo again. 🤠💘

ARC - PUBLICATION DATE 01.06.2025

i had the privilege of reading this book as part of an ARC team!

the anthology is a collection of 9 short stories, all based on a classic 90s country song!

i have to give credit to all authors involved in this anthology, all stories were fun to read, great plot and characters and i loved the little snippets of little lyrics from the songs to reveal the song. my favourite especially being “heads calorina, tails california” because what a song!

a couple of the short stories felt a little rushed more than being a short story but it didn’t take away the enjoyment of any of this anthology, they were fun, easy to read, fast paced stories that made you feel warm and fuzzy and nosalgic!

Neon Lights & Country Nights is a compilation of 9 novellas that take us right back down the memory lane to those 90s country songs. Each story was inspired by a song; some draw inspiration from several 90s hits, but that’s pretty much all they have common, besides romance and spice, of course. One story is set in the 90s, one is a paranormal love story with witches, one is a prequel to a series, there’s second chance romance, bars, farms, cowboys, country singers… and all spice levels from 🌶️ to 💀🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
All the stories were written by indie authors, and there’s altogether closer to 1,000 pages of swoonworthy romance, banter, acts of love and acts of… well, you know, acts. This anthology caters for everyone who’s lived in the 90s or ever heard 90s country songs.

Neon Lights and Country Nights is a nostalgic, heartwarming 90s country romance anthology featuring nine unique love stories by nine talented authors. Each story brings its own blend of heartbreak, redemption, and swoon-worthy moments.

One standout for me was Commas and Cowboys by Vicki Hilton. It follows Lillian Duval, a romance author battling writer’s block, as she returns to her hometown—and to Joe, the man who inspired her heroes. Their reunion is emotional, sweet, and full of sparks, with just the right mix of humor, spice, and heartfelt moments.

This was my first anthology, and I loved how different each story and couple felt. It was such a great way to discover new authors—I’ll definitely be reading more from them! Thank you for the ARC!

I love some good 90’s country music. It’s what I had grown up listening to so this anthology was PERFECT! These stories were absolutely incredible. I loved the vibe each one gave.
The authors did such an amazing job. Each one of these were absolutely 5 stars. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Some of the authors were new to me but have now become my favorites. The playlist for this anthology was absolute perfection. It brought me back to the times where I remember listening to some of these songs with my mom. You better believe I had the playlist going while I read through each story.
Each story was unique and made you fall in love with the characters. I couldn’t get enough of them. It’s one that I’ll keep going back to.

This was a much needed anthology that was filled with all of your small-town romance needs. I really enjoyed every single story in this anthology. I read J. Hutchison’s story first and I loved the marriage on the rocks and whooo. I really love the tension and their journey back to each other.

Don't miss out on this FANTASTIC Anthology by J. Hutchison, Alexandra Grace, Vicki Hilton, C.M Kane, Ellison Kane, Penelope Paige, Arianna Quinn, K.D Smalls, and Charlie Wells!

his was my first anthology. I grew up on country and was able to guess or narrow down possible songs. There are nine stories that range from no spice to extremely spicy.

The only author I had read prior was Vicki Hilton but I really enjoyed each story and will definitely give the other author another read.

You don’t have to listen to Country to love these short stories. The authors took a song like “Meet in the Middle” and created a story to fit the message. So for this song, it was a marriage on the rocks where they had to meet in the middle to make it work.

This ARC was enjoyable from the first to last story.

9 short stories inspired by 1990’s country music songs, all done by different authors. There is a trope for some romance reader from second Chance romances, paranormal, contemporary romances, witchy ones, single dad, surprise baby and more. You’ll get some sweet and clean closed door with others being too hot to handle.

There is nothing bad to say about these books they were all wonderful in their own ways. You’ll be pulled in to bitter sweet stories and cute and cozy ones. This book brought you the nostalgia of younger days.

As someone who grew up with 90s country playing in the background of my life, Neon Lights and Country Nights felt like coming home. The stories are full of heart, twang, and that familiar mix of romance and rugged charm. Some tales hit me right in the feels, especially the ones that captured the bittersweet pull of old flames and dirt road dreams. A couple didn’t grab me as much, but overall, this anthology was a warm, nostalgic ride I didn’t want to end
