Decorated FBI Agent Emma Noble has made a career of uncovering the truth-but this time, the truth hits too close to home.
A string of brutal murders has the FBI scrambling. All evidence points to one suspect: Emma's father, Sam Noble. A veteran CIA operative, Sam has vanished without a trace, leaving Emma torn between duty and loyalty. Determined to prove his innocence, she begins a relentless hunt for her father.
As Emma digs deeper, she uncovers buried lies and family betrayal, threatening to shatter everything she believed about Sam-and herself. The terrifying question emerges: what if the man she's trying to save is the monster she's been hunting?
With time running out and the body count rising, Emma faces an impossible choice: protect her family or bring her father to justice.
A heart-pounding thriller where blood runs thicker than innocence.
Somewhere near the crossroads of experience and imagination, if you search hard enough—and catch it in the right light, you may find a story worth telling. I was lucky to have found the thread of FORTUNATE SON in a small memory from my adolescence. The rest came from my somewhat dark imagination. The characters in the book were ladled from an old bucket brimming with memories of friends and strangers I've crashed into over the years.
I did a lot of living before I started writing. I sold stuff to people, sang jazz, and played rugby. Those experiences were helpful to my writing. But without the love of a strong woman and her insistence that I shine this dim light of mine, there would be no words...no book. Her name is Kathy and she's put up with my nonsense for a very long time.
I'm grateful readers are enjoying FORTUNATE SON, the first book in the Emma Noble Series. This novel has been on quite the journey. I'm glad it's finally in your hands!
The second book, A NOBLE SIN, is scheduled to release in August 2025. It's going to be another burner, so buckle up!
I hope when you crack open one of my books you find the edge-of-your-seat page turner you're looking for. And, just maybe, you'll find a little dose of humanity sprinkled in there too. Thanks for being a reader. Hope you enjoy FORTUNATE SON.
This book moved fast. The characters are well written and you are invested in what happens to them. Emma is a lovable “shit magnet”. The twists, the turns, the unexpected…it all comes together as Emma finds herself on the hunt once again. This story is so intelligently written and suspenseful. The pages fly by and I could not put it down. I finished it in record time. Mr. Bridgeman proves his first book was just the beginning of a wonderful career. He has outdone himself! A must read!!
Honestly, I was pretty upset that I didn’t have the time to read this in two days. No spoilers from me, but man, it is clear that Andrew Bridgeman is a late bloomer and extremely talented. His second book is even better than the first. I already knew he had twists and turns up his sleeve but I got backhanded with this one. I LOVE Emma Noble and while I am so grateful to have been given the chance to be an early reader, I wish I were able to binge these books. There HAS to be more to come because Emma has only gotten started. I implore you to read both books. Andrew is an amazing storyteller who I only wish started giving us stories sooner. I told you - zero spoilers. It’s up to you to go read it. No regrets.
Another beautifully crafted ride along with Emma Noble. The second novel from Andrew Bridgeman shares many of the same attributes as his first, Fortunate Son.
Nobel Sin is another wild ride with a wonderful plot, fantastic character development, and a pace and style of writing that makes it tough to put down.
Noble Sin works equally as well as a stand alone read, for those who haven’t read Fortunate Son yet, as it does as a sequel of sorts.
Count me in for whatever might be next for Andrew Bridgeman. I will happily go along for a ride, as it will surely be an exciting adventure built upon a foundation of solid writing.
Author Andrew Bridgeman hits another one out of the park! His sophomore novel, A Noble Sin, was as thrilling of a ride as his debut novel, Fortunate Son. I was so excited to get the email notifying me I was chosen to be a member of the ARC team. Although I was away on vacation, I found myself sneaking away to read a chapter or two every chance I could get. I loved the character development and I experienced nearly every emotion while reading it. There were plenty of twists, highs, and lows, to keep me guessing and coming back for more. I won’t give anything away, but that ending wrecked me. I can’t wait to read the next one! (Please don’t ever stop writing this series, I beg you.) Andrew Bridgeman is my current favorite author - and I promise, I’m not just saying that for brownie points in an attempt to stay on the ARC team. 😁
Heartfelt thanks to the author for the ARC. How long do I have to wait for the next one? I’ll gladly rearrange vacation plans when the time comes! I can’t wait to read about Emma’s next quest.
I devoured this book! What a fabulous, suspenseful and page turning book. This one grabbed me from the very beginning and just kept the excitement and hits coming. It was very tense at times and I was actually nervous while reading the book wanting to “protect” all of my favorite characters. This author has a way of getting you to connect with everyone he writes about whether good or bad ! The inclusion of a surprise character definitely kept this one fresh and made the emotional stakes even higher. Oh that ending 😭 Highly recommend this series. I was So excited to be chosen for the review team for this one. All opinions expressed are strictly my own.
I was excited to get an ARC of Andrew Bridgeman's second Novel, A Noble Sin, because I read the first of his Emma Noble Series- A Fortunate Son in record time. Now I know to block off my calendar for a few days when the next one comes. A Noble Sin is an intelligent, captivating read that grabs you and sucks you in till the final word. The reader learns a lot more about Emma and her extraordinary family as this plot takes a more personal turn than the first book. This just makes you root for Emma and her team even more!
Dare I say this is now part of my 25 favorites of 2025!?
Bridgeman writes another whirlwind thriller with a surprising plot twist.
Loved reading this story and was so happy to see my dancing queen Emma Noble get her own story in this one. She was a favorite character in the last book and I’m glad the author is continuing her crazy FBI work.
I highly recommend this book if you enjoy intense, mystery crime thrillers.
Mr. Bridgeman has done it again, another can’t put it down, full of surprises and will keep you guessing till the end. Thank you for another great read. Can’t wait to see what Emma Noble is up to in the next book.
A Noble Sin An Emma Noble Thriller | Book 2 Andrew Bridgeman Mission Point Press Release Date: 8/5/2025
Welcome back, Emma Noble — took you long enough! (Just kidding… mostly.) Emma returns in full force, breaking arms and belting Dancing Queen when she spots a girl in trouble during a routine traffic stop on I-95. True to form, she’s relentless in following her moral compass. She never backs down from a fight and often charges straight into one — always in pursuit of the truth and to protect those around her. But this time, what she uncovers hits too close to home.
When Emma’s brought in for a polygraph, she’s quickly entangled in a string of murders — a coder, a software engineer, and a banker, all somehow connected. And when her father, Sam Noble, becomes a person of interest, Emma knows something doesn’t add up. She's granted (and sometimes takes) just enough space to do her own digging — with Uncle Gunny by her side. (Side note: Uncle Gunny is hilarious and easily my favorite character. If there's a spin-off in the works, count me in!)
I loved how the story is laid out in two parallel timelines, each from a different POV across nine days, before colliding in a powerful final act.
Bridgeman drops readers straight into the action — from Burger King wrappers to roadside oddities, from the stifling tension inside a cult compound to the chaos of a shootout. The pacing is spot-on, with perfectly timed reveals that let you piece the mystery together alongside Emma. The characters are raw, real, and unforgettable. By the end, you’ll feel like you know them.
Mr. Bridgeman has done it again! A Noble Sin is a real page turner! The characters and story line are solid, easy to follow, even with all of the "I didn't see that coming" twists!! Which I love! I can't wait for the next Emma Noble adventure!
“A Noble Sin” is a solid follow-up to “Fortunate Son.” My only issue is that Emma Noble wasn’t really the main character of the first book in this series. That’s not a problem, and this certainly isn’t the first time I’ve seen this happen. Neither Jane Rizzoli nor Maura Isles were the main characters in the book that started their series, but they quickly took the spotlight and ran with it, for the better.
That being said, Ben Danvers’ story in the last book was what interested me. Emma is a decent protagonist, but I’m just not there yet. Bridgeman has surrounded Noble with a circle of more than adequate supporting characters, and these things take time. “A Noble Sin” didn’t bowl me over, but it’s a good start. I want to see where Bridgeman goes with Emma’s story. ABBA references and all. Knowing me, knowing him, I’ll probably be back for book three. 😅
Andrew Bridgeman has done it again. Mr. Bridgeman did not let off the gas with his second novel. In fact, A Noble Sin reads even faster than his first novel. The novel has twists and turns that are not expected and you absolutely cannot see them coming. The details put into the story are well developed and thought out. The story starts with a bang and never lets up. I throughly enjoyed reading this novel and can only hope there is more to come from Mr. Bridgeman.
Andrew Bridgeman is 2 for 2! He delivered an outstanding debut novel in Fortunate Son and followed it up with a stellar novel that really defines Emma Noble’s character.
In Noble Sin, Emma Noble is in the dark but working her way tenaciously toward the truth about people she loves and she does it the hard way. Some great new characters enter the fray that gives this series some real future firepower. Filled with twists and turns along with some edge of your seat action, Noble Sin is a hit! Highly recommended for fans of Don Bentley, Brad Thor and Michael Connelly.
This story is a powerful testament to the human spirit! This captivating novel honors the triumph of resilience and determination, featuring masterfully crafted characters that will inspire and stay with you. A must-read that will leave you feeling hopeful and motivated!
Fast-paced and filled with twists and turns throughout. Bridgeman does it again. When I finished a chapter, I had a just had to keep going to see where I was being led. Just when I thought I had figured something out, I was disoriented by yet another diversion. I am looking forward to where we are taken next. Vincent
Another amazing story from Andrew! This book took you on an adventure that didn't stop until the very end! I sure hope we aren't don't hearing from the Nobels!
The high level of suspense and tension throughout this novel made it difficult to put down. Emma Noble returns, this time with a personal stake in the case, partnering with her academy friend, Roshelle Hess, who is an FBI profiler. The plot is highly engaging, action packed and kept me on the edge of my seat with continuous surprises and suspense. The ending was unexpected and quite emotional. 😭 The author’s research and attention to detail further enhanced the story. I can only share so much to avoid spoilers, but it is indeed a very good book!! Thank you to the author for the opportunity to read this complimentary advanced copy. Opinions expressed in this review are my own.
I was fortunate to receive an ARC of A NOBLE SIN, which is the second book by Andrew Bridgeman and part of what I hope becomes a thriller series with protagonist Emma Noble. I was blown away by Bridgeman’s first book, FORTUNATE SON. And I’ve got to say, A NOBLE SIN did not disappoint! Bridgeman’s heroin has to deal with something that hits close to home. Bridgeman keeps the reader guessing, and coupled with relatable characters (both protagonist and antagonist), he produces a great plot with several surprises! Five Stars!
Knowing Andrew Bridgeman on a personal level from years ago, I thought I would read Fortunate Son. With excellent character development and the plot twists in that book, I was more than ecstatic to be on the ARC for A Noble Sin.
As many other reviews have stated, A Noble Sin is hard to put down solely based on the fact you want to know what is going to happen next. This book delves deeper into Emma Noble’s background so you get a better idea of who she is and why she is how she is. You can’t help but root for her as she deals with difficult and personal decisions. Tough choices for Emma keep you wondering which way A Noble Sin will go. Don’t even try to guess. Just enjoy the ride.
I can’t wait for the next book in the Emma Noble series. She’s only been with the FBI for a short time so there are plenty more cases for her. It’s hard to believe that any upcoming cases could compare to those in Fortunate Son and A Noble Sin. I’m confident Andrew Bridgeman has it all figured out.
Do your friends a favor and invite them to get on the Andrew Bridgeman band wagon. They will thank you for it.
This was such an enjoyable read and a definite page-turner. A Noble Sin features unexpected twists and turns that keep the reader on their feet and not knowing what's going to come next. Just like the first installment in the series, I found myself rooting for Emma every step of the way. Andrew Bridgeman has a way of writing that allows the reader to quickly identify and experience the emotions along with the character, and that makes the reading experience so enjoyable. I found myself reading at a pace I don't normally read at and finished much faster than I typically finish a book! Would absolutely recommend this to anyone, and I really hope this isn't the last we hear about Emma.
Thanks to Andrew Bridgeman for the ARC, my very first!
Readers of these reviews are likely asking questions along the lines of "what's this book about?" Yeah, a few of you just want to know “is it any good?” But hopefully some of you are also asking "what's the author trying to do here (in addition to being entertaining)”?
First, of course the author is aiming at being entertaining. And he succeeds! Especially compared to what I spend most of my time reading (contracts, statutes, regulations), reading A Noble Sin (like A Fortunate Son before it) is a warm bath for the brain chemicals.
Yes, there is violence and bloodshed, but it's not stomach-churning. Yes, there is sadness and loss (more on that in a moment). But there is a calming elegance as well. Events unfold in a matter-of-fact way, without florid adjectives or obscure tangents. Characters are illustrated cleanly, plainly, though with enough oblique angles to fully humanize them. I read my copy nearly in one go.
A Noble Sin, though, is also, unsurprisingly, about nobility. Or, if you prefer, honor. In the movie "Rob Roy" the protagonist/title character says honor is a gift to yourself. A sentiment shared by the protagonist here, Emma Noble. In an era (and a genre) where too often our heroes succeed by cutting corners, digging around as if the 4th Amendment were for other people, Emma Noble's respect for her work – even when it points to guilt in her own family - signals the author is both willing to take risks and unwilling to compromise or pander.
Examples abound: Emma stifling in a hot car, unwilling to ignore the call of duty from the car right behind her - a Good Samaritan with a steel baton. Emma fessing up to her mistakes. Emma working within the confines of her FBI orders. Emma never going the easy way when the right way is difficult.
A real-life hero, Jen Easterly, wrote recently about the Cadet Prayer at West Point, which extols one to “choose the harder right instead of the easier wrong.” As Easterly notes, "that’s not just guidance. It’s a challenge—and in today’s world, maybe even a bit of a radical one." A radical challenge Emmaline embraces.
The book also illustrates honor is not cost-free. Characters die in this book, including ones you like. Things don't always work out. This is not a fairy tale book or a fable - among other things, moral lessons are shown, not told. But that’s not to say they are obscure.
Maybe I should have put this up front in the review, but the author and I were friends in college (no surprise to see Carlisle, PA, appear in his work) and while that was years ago, some things are timeless. Among those, paraphrasing the motto of our alma mater Dickinson College, are the values of being faithful as well as curious.
Or perhaps more relevant here: fidelity, bravery and integrity. Director Comey had new agents visit the Holocaust Museum, to make sure they fully appreciated that power of a badge and a gun and the blessing of the government entail great responsibility. Being an FBI agent, unlike most jobs, involves taking an oath to faithfully execute one’s duties. Emma Noble lives up to that oath. So does Andy Bridgeman.
This was SO much fun, and it fully lives up to the first book. Might even surpass it, if that's possible. Andrew Bridgeman is so talented - great character development, great pacing, great tone, great style. The plot twists are genuinely really good, with no cheap tricks or clichés. I hadn't gotten into this genre of books before Fortunate Son, but I'm definitely sold on this series - I tell everyone who will listen how fantastic these books are. I cannot wait for more Emma Noble. I'm actually legit sad that I read this as an ARC, solely because it means I'll have to wait at least another year or more for the next book.
Y’all picture this: you’re sipping coffee, minding your business, and BAM—murder in an Ohio campground. Damp earth, buzzing bugs, and one big problem: the DNA under the victim’s nails points to FBI Agent Emma Noble’s dad. Awkward.
Emma’s a whip-smart, relentless heroine I’d totally split a margarita with, and now she’s chasing the man who taught her to ride a bike—and maybe how to cover up a crime scene. Bodies stack up, family secrets spill like bad wine, and every page smells like adrenaline and wet leaves.
This thriller is fast, sharp, and twisty enough to make you side-eye your own relatives. If you love danger, dark secrets, and gasp-out-loud “oh no” moments, A Noble Sin will steal your weekend—and maybe your trust in Dad.
I could not believe that the follow up to Fortunate Son would be such a page turner. The Rollercoaster ride Emma Noble goes on in the pursuit of truth and justice is riveting and exciting. Twists and unexpected turns kept me enthralled and invested. Very much looking to see what further adventures Agent Noble has in her future.
Anytime a new author writes a tremendous book, I am wary that their next effort won’t live up to the lofty standard set by the debut. In the case of Andrew Bridgeman’s second novel, my wariness was quickly eliminated. The exciting new author’s sophomore effort “knocked it out of the park!” The story and characters were very well developed and the plot twists were both plentiful and surprising. It was a true “page turner,” that was nearly impossible to put down. Hopefully Bridgeman is diligently working on the next edition of his saga. I am anxiously awaiting its publication and expect continued excellence.

A great book - it starts fast and does not stop. I enjoyed the characters, the plot, and the settings. It takes place after the action of A Fortunate Son, but is a standalone story. (but you are cheating yourself if you do not read AFS).
