Being a forty-year-old former child star who finds out she’s an immortal Demon Goddess comes with challenges.
Huge Challenges.
One might think fighting the bad guy and coming out on top would earn me a vacation… One would be wrong. I’d stirred up a hornet’s nest that could end existence as we know it. Not my best move.
I know more about acting than Goddess-ing, but that won’t stop me. I’m about to assume the character and plow though the script to the very end even though I’m wildly underrehearsed and more adept at sitcoms than action movies with real life consequences.
Too bad, so sad.
With the love of my Immortal life by my side, a bunch of friends, and one cranky frenemy, we’re going to rewrite the plot and switch up the movie from a horror story to a happily ever after… Or, we’re going to die trying.
Stay tuned for the epic finale. It’s going to be a doozy.
Robyn writes because the people inside her head won’t leave her alone until she gives them life on paper. Her addictions include shoes (the expensive kind), Coke with extra ice in a styrofoam cup, and bejeweled reading glasses. A former professional actress, she now lives in the south with her family and too many animals to count. Writing gives her a chance to have a job where working in her P.J.’s is acceptable. Sometimes there is a general theme running through an author’s books. Sometimes people haven’t read the other books, but sometimes they have and it can be either annoying because you hear the same explanation the same way, or it can serve as a way to tie it all together. I purposely don’t start a series in the middle but that is not always not the case. It’s like the previous seasons recap for Netflix series #notsponsored. 🤪but seriously, everyone’s time is valuable and there’s so much out there being written that even if you read from sun up to sun down every day, there is no way any human could make a dent in available material. Life is stressful and my job is stressful and I read to escape my own world. I want to go someplace magical and different and where good triumphs over evil and love is pure and passionate and true. Robyn Peterman fills those needs. Thank you for sharing your art and I’m here for all the adventures to come! Sincerely,
I laughed. I welled up. Then laughed some more. I was happy. I was sad. I was glued to the action.
Those were my first impressions after finishing the book, and I mean them. What an ending!
Over the series, I rooted for Cecily and Abaddon, fell in love with Sean and Man-mom, then with the Demon misfits, be they dressed or undressed (ahem! Corny), be they absolutely, delightfully weird (all of them!).
But in this book, the one who really got to me was Pandora. Her evolution through the series is one of the best surprises of it, and she doesn’t disappoint in this finale.
A satisfying end tp an awesome series, through and through.
I love this series, and I love this writer. But this book feels like a hastily scrawled short story on the back of a napkin. I felt like this was written over a weekend where the writer was tripping over a deadline on Sunday night. This is such a wonderful series and I feel like this book did it an amazing disservice. how do you wrap up six books with 140 pages? I am woefully, sorely, disappointed. I feel like we, as fans, deserve a whole lot, better than whatever this book was.
Ms. Robyn Peter man's imagination is off the charts! This book was hilarious piled on top of hideous demon actions that made you roll on the floor laughing non-stop. I would love to see these creative characters come to life on the big screen and sit in the audience of a laughing theater. The world needs to not only read this book but go take their 18 & over family to join in on the fun. Read this book after you read the whole series to understand Cecily & Pandora's relationship fully. Loved it and needed the uncontrollable laughter.
Laugh out loud chaos in a good sick and twisted way.
Robyn's series consistently captivates me with its unique storytelling. This particular work stands out for its eccentric characters and intriguing narrative, reminiscent of a supernatural soap opera that keeps readers on the edge of their seats.
I love Ms. Peterman's books! She writes such interesting stories about the paranormal world. Always full of love, but with challenges along the way. And I especially love her sense of humor. I always can't wait for her next book to come out. You won't be sorry to buy any of her books.
The last book in this series. I'm sad! I loved it, of course. I love that it's kind of an open ending... resolving most issues, but leaving it so they can live their lives! I imagine them hanging out with Daisy and Gideon, their kids growing up together, demons and angels and immortals having parties all the time, defeating evils, loving each other. So lovely.
this is part of an ongoing series I have been reading for years. it is silly, irreverent, profane and just plain fun. this series would make a great TV show but would have to be on cable to get away with the language and demonic and higher power topics
This book had the usual funny banter, suspense, surprises, etc. I mostly liked the ending but was a little disappointed that there was one part that hadn't been all wrapped up by the end. But, overall it was good.
