Property of Indiana: Kings of Anarchy MC: East Texas

Rate this book
Welcome to the Kings of Anarchy MC, where the Kings rule in chaos, and the open road is our Kingdom.

Nobody lives by that motto better than Indiana does as the Sergeant-At-Arms for the East Texas charter of the Kings. It’s a rule of the thumb in his lifestyle. You don’t take life for granted because you never know if you’ll rise with the sun the following day. Women don’t belong in their world and he vows to never take an old lady for himself. When he runs into his old high school flame in town, he forgets to be that hardnosed man, forgoing his rule when it comes to love and war. She’s the only one who’s ever been able to bend his knees. And her little ray of sunshine, Elodie, has him wrapped around her little finger anytime she smiles up at him.

Moving back to her hometown, Zoey is skeptical of being welcomed back. This is where her life changed against her will. She can’t look at a Ghost Face mask since that’s what greeted her during the event that made her flee. She wasn’t expecting to come face-to-face with the one man who she dreamed of spending her forever with. But when she does, sparks fly and she begins to wonder if she can put her demons to rest with him by her side. When Elodie’s parentage comes into question and the rumor mill does what it does best, spreading rumors, she has to fight her instincts to take flight and hit the road.

Will they survive the ramifications when her ghost is unmasked? Is she strong enough to stand her ground while Indiana and his club right the wrongs done to her?

In this outlaw empire, you'll dive into a world where rules are a thing of the past. Here, nobody messes with the Kings or lays a hand on their property—because these badass bikers claim their lovers with pride. Enter a universe where loyalty is everything, legends are born, and every ride is unforgettable. Are you ready to ride with the Kings of Anarchy MC?

***This will be the first release in the East Texas chapter. Get ready for a wild ride!***

I have been an avid reader for most of my life. When I was younger I used to sit and fill spiral notebooks full of stories. As I got older, I took the jobs needed for raising my boys as a single mom, until I met my now amazing husband. I have stopped working in the last three years and started promoting authors, then I blogged and reviewed for authors, which lead me down the path to writing and creating characters and stories. I love creating behind the scenes with my writing getting to use my imagination and write the story as it comes to me. My youngest is now a senior in High School leaving me with some spare time on my hands to be filled. I am loving the people I am meeting and the support system I have found. I'm really trying with this series. I really am. But all these authors keep letting me down. 🤦 At least this one was on KU and there weren't any grammar mistakes. It sucks when you pay for a book and it's not written well and grammar mistakes abound. Anyways, I digress. These characters are friend's with the characters from Property of Rio. That book was ok. This book was OTT unbelievable and ridiculous. The characters were shallow. The chemistry between the two main MMCs was non existent. Like seriously pretty bad if I'm being honest. IRL Icer's relationship with the h's daughter would be highly questionable. Also, feels like there's a whole other book that we missed with crucial information, but that book doesn't exist. These MCs were supposed to be badasses, but the way they spoke? No MC speaks like this. No way in hell. Also, I'm trying to get used to all the books using "my person" instead of "my body." First generation millennial here. 🙋 But think about it... Do you honestly think a tough MC man is going to be going around saying "I added another gun to my person." ??? No of course not! I think maybe authors who write MCs should spend a week with an actual MC. Probably our actual fantasies would be destroyed. 😂 But listen MCs are not "woke." So authors trying to make them so are living in fiction land. Sorry. Didn't mean for this review to turn into a rant. I'm originally from Ohio. I've seen the MCs here, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. They're also not hard to talk to. I don't know. Maybe that's changed now since I left my country a while ago. Ok. I'm done. 🙈

This book had potential..

First though, in the prologue Indiana (Harrison) isn’t mentioned. I get that he was out of town when the Halloween party happened but we had no idea he existed to Zoey yet. She said her father told her not to accept open drinks but then later it seems that Indiana told her that. It also seems that they had this love story and talked about the future and stuff when they were teens and how she was the only one for him but in his first pov he’s in bed with another woman. I don’t expect him to have stayed celibate of course but he could’ve said something along the lines of how he only sleeps around and won’t have an old lady because there was the girl that got away. Again, we have no clue that Zoey and Indiana have history. I also don’t like how he never seemed to try to find her after she disappeared. All icer has to do was google her and found out what happened. Lastly, it didn’t really seem like Indiana and Eloidie had much of a relationship. Icer seemed more like her father. There didn’t seem to be a connection to me.

The weirdest book I’ve ever read, then it ends on a cliffhanger! Parts are good.

I still don’t know if I enjoyed this or not, to be honest. I still can’t get past Zoey letting a strange man SLEEP with her five year old daughter, but it’s okay as he leaves the door open! NO ITS REALLY NOT OKAY! The plot is really confusing at times with a lot of weird plots happening. It never explains who everyone is and the connection to Rio. Rio I think is a Darlene Tallman book and I have read it but I can’t really remember it.

Zoey and Harrison/Indiana were friends when Zoey was still in high school. No idea how old Harrison was! When something really bad happens to Zoey she leaves town for six years and when she returns she has a five year old daughter Elodie. Zoey barely leaves the house when she moves back to her home town as she’s terrified of going out. So I was really really confused when she meets Harrison and his club brother Icer. Icer has a lot of mental health issues and a lot of anger issues. When Icer meets Elodie he becomes obsessed with her and it’s weird! He buys her loads of things and then he won’t be separated from her. I’m sorry but I couldn’t get past this. It felt really wrong. He’s a stranger.

In the middle of the craziness Harrison and Zoey are supposedly falling in love, but I didn’t feel it all. Zoey is supposed to be in danger but nothing happens till right near the end.

Weird, badly written yet strangely enjoyable in places. Not sure I want to read the next book though.

I'm a little disappointed... cliffhanger!

The book was well written. The story kept you wanting to know more, but there were some sticking points I couldn't move past.

Indiana was great, and so was Zoey, but it was really hard to feel a connection them. Yeah, they talked about their past, and you could tell there wss history there, but I just didn't get this deep love, devotion, and connection from their relationship. When Zoey is in danger, I didn't feel it from Indiana. There was no sheer terror thinking she was taken, and I didn't feel the alpha possessiveness. It was very anticlimactic. Indiana just said I've claimed you and Zoey was like... not a problem. I usually read dark mafia romances where the MMC is an overprotective, jealous, possessive caveman that would burn the world for his woman, and I never even got a eigth of that from Indiana.

Then there was the cliffhanger... really? I am not a happy camper.

Property of Indiana

This is my first book by this author. I noticed a something loud right away. Misogyny. Our first interaction with the MMC,

“It’s too early,” the bitch says, covering her face with my spare pillow.

He's kicking her out of bed. She never gets a name, just “bitch”.

“Get the fuck dressed and out of my room before I grab you by the roots of your hair and toss you out.”

Yes, he's a lovely catch. Violent in speech and threats. And it's followed by this delightful conversation by him and a friend,

“Some of them are so damn ditzy I wonder if they can read,”

The “hangarounds” are meant to be fucked and left, totally interchangable. This is not unusual in biker romance but it never really makes sense.

How are we supposed to believe that the MMC can really love a woman when he sees them all as objects to be used? And yet as soon as he sees his high school sweetheart (she was 16, he was 19 back in the day), he suddenly becomes a man who would do anything for a woman. There's not much internal reflection to convince us.

Now, somehow we're supposed to believe that these guys don't believe in misusing and abusing women (notice scene near the end when all the guys find abused women), so what is their shit talking in the beginning?

This sort of inconsistency also happens with drugging Icer. Even though the MFC has a history of being roofied and horribly abused, these guys don't see any problem with drugging Icer and not telling him. Where's the consent?

Besides that, I like Icer’s part in the story. He's an odd duck but interesting.

I absolutely loved this book. Icer and all his interactions are hilarious. I love the way the MC is described and set up. They treat women with respect (yes they are still man wh0res) and family is respected and valued. The brotherhood isn’t just an excuse to be a$$holes who think they are better than everyone and treat women like holes. I’m addicted to the characters and can’t wait to read the rest.

The only reason this didn’t get 5 stars from me is because it felt unfinished at the end. I needed more from the book. We just had the FMC rescued and then the book was over - no actual resolution of the FMCs personal issues or the overarching bad guys. I understand that there’s going to be an overarching story that flows through all the books, but there needs to be at least a personal resolution for the main characters of each book. She should have discovered who her 🍇 were, who is Elodies sp$rm donor, at least had a confrontation with her parents - even if they didn’t get dealt with entirely in this book. It was all just left up in the air and I needed more.

The story continues on to book 2

I had not realised that the story is continuous into book 2 or I would not have chosen to read it. I like a beginning, middle and end.
The story begins with Zoey reluctantly returning to her home town after six years away. With her is her 5 year old daughter Elodie. She bumps into Indiana, her once youthful boyfriend, who is now in the Kings of Anarchy MC and the story takes up from there. I did like the characters, especially Icer and his antics, but the storyline not so much. The MC motto was 'No body messes with the Kings.' But the Kings seem not to have the upper hand. They hear about the chaos caused by the rival gang and know who the corrupted official are and their affiliation to them, but have done nothing. And now at the climatic part, the reader has to get the second book. And then the next I suppose. Not for me. I bail out.

As this book/series is closely related to Darlene Tallman's series on the same MC name, I wanted to check this one out. It quickly drew me in. I found it so funny how this hard psycho of a man was turned to mush by a 5 year old and how all the other people reacted to him. Zoey did a great job of rolling with things, especially Icer. It helped that she had history with Indiana and that there was immediate trust there, despite years apart. It was nice to see the couple end happy.

The other fun part of this one was seeing the MC reach their limit with the BS that was going on in town and them doing something. Sure it came because one of their own was in danger, but you know that this is the first step. They won't stop until after they have taken down all of the POS's that are in charge and clean up the town. And quite frankly, I am looking forward to reading about it.

Good story..... Change of pace that got me out of a reading slump. I've never read Liberty Parker but realized in Rio by Darlene Tallman that they write together a lot and we're doing opposite Texas chapters in Kings of anarchy mc so thought to give it a go and I'm glad I did. I think the author lost some prime writing material with the lack of family interaction with parents of h since the author was using it as a plot device and no interaction with the bad mc till the very end when they came for her and Elodie wasn't quite as seamless as it should have been...... Some sighting it something was to be expected...... Otherwise good romance. Also can't wait for Icers story.

OBSESSED! That’s all I can say about this book. I didn’t want this book to end. I wanted it to continue. Then it left me in such a severe book hangover that I’m still trying to recoup 2 weeks later. Indiana is perfection. I love that he didn’t fight his feelings for Zoey and he actually embraced them. The side characters are absolutely amazing, although I feel they got a little too much “screen time”. I wish I saw a little more of Indiana and Zoey. But it’s hard to complain when Elodie brings Icer (who even some club members are leery of) to his knees. Watching their relationship grow, and his and Zoey’s, is so heartwarming. I can’t wait to watch their relationship continue to grow in the coming books.

I feel like this story had so much potential but it lacked in a lot of places. Everything moved at lightning speed, so many aspects of the story could’ve been developed more, and there was mostly telling not showing. There was really no connection between Zoey and Harrison, and definitely no tension or chemistry, but she was “the one that got away” apparently yet he never even tried to look for her when she disappeared? Harrison didn’t really have a relationship with Elodie either, but her and Icer’s cute little kinship was adorable.

The plot really had a lot of potential, and given the fact it ended on a cliff hanger, I am still intrigued to know how it continues. But I don’t know, just mixed feelings.

DNF at 12%. ReallY?? Having a detailed convo about where she went and why she left in line for cookies/doughnuts at the mall? We had no clue there was a potential love interest in the picture when they were teenagers and before her assault. That was a missed opportunity on the author's part to give readers a little intrigue and background. The 5 year old talks and acts like a middle school kid. And they secretly drug members of the MC so that they can deal with them in public. I get you're supposed to be a bad*ss in an MC, and maybe not exactly above the law, but drugging members of your own club without their knowledge? Nah. Harley shop in the mall? Most likely not. Most are stand alone properties. There's just too much leaving me shaking my head on this one.

Omg I freaking loved this new series. Indiana and Zoey wow I’m so happy they reconnected, top that with her daughter being funny add in a hot alpha/ protecter who enjoys singing with her. I mean what else could you ask for. From the start there was so much , from Zoey’s past , to her struggles, to moving back to town and facing her past . Indiana didn’t see anything in the future as having a relationship or anything of that kind . But a chance encounter and lives are changed. There is danger, action, many characters in play , second chance, I love how this story began, how it went and ended I can tell you they will only get better I can’t wait for the next one.

Nobody and I mean Nobody

The Kings are a force to be reckoned with, as we are finding out. I couldn't put this book down and it kept me wondering what was going to happen next.
A second chance relationship turns edgy as the King's have had their hand forced. For Indiana and Zoey they were able to start where they basically left off. For Zoey, she will always be afraid of what could happen to her pride. For Indiana, things will never stop him from protecting what was his all along.
I'd give this book a 10 if I could. Its absolutely awesome how Miss Liberty writes her stories.

Oh, hell no, you didn't just end it there. WTH. That's just wrong. Obviously, you can tell I liked this book. If I'm pissed off that it's over, and I now have to wait for Riptide's book.
I can't believe the hell that Zoey went through and survived. Damn she is one strong woman. Indiana wasn't looking for anything permanent because his heart had already been given away. These two are so good together. I really liked Zoey's smart ass remarks. Then we have Elodie. OMG, she's too much, in a good way. And Icer, well there's a story there. The way Icer is with his princess is hilarious. I hope he gets his story told soon.

Indiana and Zoey. Wow, cute story for an MC. I laughed the whole way through (except for the bad guy parts) because of Icey. Man, that man gives me sexy dreams. Anyways, pretty typical biker story although I could have used more 'bike' content and less 'contemporary' content but, it still hit the spot and I read it all in one sitting. Good writing, never found an error. The humor with Icey though, sold the story and I can't wait to read the next one which I believe is Riptide. When is Icey's book coming. Had to give it 5 stars for the entertainment value alone. If you enjoy MC romance, you will love this one.

So I would give this 3.5 stars. It's the second time I've tried reading it, as the first time I gave up due to the weird story with Icer. I found it hard to reconcile a mother letting a strange man get close to your 5 year old daughter. That said, once I got into the book, it began to run a smoother path. I enjoyed the characters, although I would have preferred to see a better rebuilding of the relationship between Indiana and Zoey, rather than jumping straight in where they left off.
On the whole, the story, once it really got going, was interesting, with plenty of action and suspense.
This is definitely worth reading and I will definitely be picking up Riptide's book.

This was a fun time. I loved Icer (cannot wait for his book) and Indiana’s deep and desperate love for Zoey and Elodie. There were lots of difficult topics and situations (check content warnings) that look and impact Zoey and her safety. Because of the brevity of this book, a lot of these plot points lacked the emotional depth and impact that more time would have allowed. The bones of this and the writing were so engaging but I felt it didn’t quite meet the mark in tearing at my heartstrings. It was an enjoyable read and I definitely will check out more from this author.

OMFG!!!

This is such a great book. Like how it ties in with Rio's book too. Indiana and Zoey met years ago but when some horrific happens to Zoey and she is forced to leave town without a trace, Indiana is forced to move on with his life. By no standards is he a boy scout but he doesn't let a girl lay in his bed long. When him and Icer are the ones picked to do the parts run, it turns Indiana's mood sour until he and Icer run into a little girl and her mom. Zoey is shocked to run into Indiana but they pick up where they left off like no time has passed.

Love this storyline

Love this storyline, for what I call the lighter side of the MC genre, stories that don't go as far into the violence and retribution. I do prefer the harder hitting books but sometimes need to go the softer easy to read route, so this was actually really good for this. The storyline was different and intense enough to keep you reading, the characters were dynamic and well developed so you related to the characters. Really happy that the storyline continues into the next book.

Great!

I chose this rating because this was a pretty interesting book. I enjoy pretty much all of the characters well there was a few that I did not like. This was a book of protection, compassion, kindness, motivation and protecting the one that you love. I really enjoyed Indiana and Zoey story. They ran into an unfortunate situation but these two came together on the very unusual circumstances but as usual all things worked out for their good. This was a really interesting book. I recommend this book to all romance readers and MC lovers

Amazing story!

This book is amazing from beginning to end! I couldn't put it down and kept turning the pages until I had read it all in one sitting. I loved the story of Indiana and Zoey. They share a past and find each other again. Her daughter Elodie and her uncle Icer offer sweetness and comedic relief. There is a dangerous threat in the town that the club is forced to deal with. I highly recommend this book!

Property of Indiana is book 1 of the Kings of Anarchy MC: East Texas written by the talented author Liberty Parker. I truly cannot say enough, how much I loved every single second of what I got with this incredible story. I laughed, I cried, I was shocked, I was sad and read this in a couple of hours. I felt like I was right there with them and wanted to give them hugs. Love Zoey & Indiana plus the connection between Icer and Elodie was nothing like I have read before. Can't wait for more.

Parker hits it out of the park!

Were do I begin, Indiana, Harrison Ford Jones is our alpha hero and boy he doesn't disappoint. Then, we have our heroine Zoey and you get a great love story with action pack story deeply rooted in friendship and family. Parker sets this chapter up for many more stories and great anticipation for the next book. Five star read and one heck of a page turner. Thanks Parker, you have now taken your place in the Kings of Anarchy hierarchy. Peace out.

Indiana & Zoey

Welcome to East Texas and buckle up because Indiana, Zoey, Elodie and Icer are going to take us on one neck of a ride. After a horrific ordeal 6 years ago Zoey look left town and Indiana behind. Upon returning to town she bumps into him and his club brother Icer who instantly bonds with Elodie. That's when the true ride begins. There's laughter, tears, action, and the cliffhanger at the end holy smokes I don't know if I can wait that long.

I don't care if the mc's are not together yet, I hate seeing the H with other women, especially when he's being an arsehole. I didn't get the attraction besides the fact that they once knew and liked each other, very insta (which I usually like). I actually felt bad for Icer. He clearly needs help, they drug him up when they don't need him and keep him off the drugs when they need the crazy. Ended on cliffhanger

Great start to a new MC series.

I really enjoyed this.. The characters are likeable and you cant help loving little 5 year old Elodie, shes a cute little diva who's only slightly demonic and brave to boot. The good guys are fun and bada$$.. Icer is just "wow" and i can't wait for his book...
The badges of which there are many are very very hateable and im looking forward to reading the coming books to hopefully see the downfall of each of them in very painfully ways...
