A feel-good family saga about taking chances, following your heart, and finding love at any age.
Surrounded by the bustling warmth of The Lighthouse Grill, Vivian Owens has everything she could ever ask for. Well… almost everything. Even as her children thrive around her, she’s still watching from the sidelines, reluctant to step into the spotlight of her own story.
When a car accident leaves her stranded outside of town, it’s her friend Terrence Rawlins who comes to her rescue. In a moment of clarity—or maybe recklessness—Vivian does something that surprises them she kisses him. And that one impulsive gesture cracks open the door to possibilities she’s been too afraid to consider.
Terrence has liked Vivian from the moment they met—even back when she bristled at the sight of him. As their contentious beginnings grew into a close friendship, he’s been patient, determined to be there for her and give her heart time to heal. Now, with that unexpected kiss lingering between them, he hopes she’s finally ready to take a chance on love again.
But dating at this stage of life feels like navigating uncharted waters, and Vivian can’t help the doubts that creep in. Is she betraying Frank’s memory? Has she forgotten how to open her heart? As she cautiously steps into a relationship with Terrence, she also finds herself pursuing a long-abandoned passion that reminds her just how much life still has to offer.
Meanwhile, as Alexis counts down the final weeks of her pregnancy, everyone is anxious to meet the little one. Faith contemplates her future with Ryan, and Noelle encourages Dean to take some pressure off of himself by bringing on a partner at the mechanic shop.
Take a trip to Rosewood Beach, where the water is warm, the sand is soft, and the Owens family is waiting to welcome you into their lives! This sweet and uplifting women’s fiction series is the perfect bookish escape.

Amy McFadden continues her narration, bringing all theses characters so many different feels. All entering different sectors of life, she finds the exact nuance to let me know how the characters feel. As Vivian, she is perfect, giving her all the feelings I have now! McFadden is amazing and makes this series so enjoyable!
Fiona, you truly outdid yourself with this spectacular book that I loved from store to finish. There’s something about your writing that just put the biggest grin on my face. This spectacular series it’s so wholesome that I can’t help to fall in love with all the people in this small coastal town.
This book made me feel so many things. It put the biggest grin on my face, made me say finally it’s happening, made me laugh, and so many other things. I just want to give a big shout out to Amy for doing an extraordinary job with this book that will always be a comfort read.
If you absolutely love a book about growing a friendship that that grows into something more, then this book is for you. This is remarkable book had a few surprises that I absolutely loved so much. Seriously people if this is your type of book you really need to get it like right now, you won’t be disappoint.
Vivian, the matriarch of the Owens family, decides that she needs some new adventures in her life. It's fun to see her try tennis. Her interactions with each of her family members are interesting and loving. Dean decides to hire a new employee for his shop. Alexis and Grayson welcome their baby. Vivian also continues her connection to Terence, with sweet results. Once again, Fiona Baker has presented us with joyful scenes of small town life in Rosewood Beach.
Friends to lovers is not my first pick but this one was pretty good! The pacing was slow and compared to previous books, the romance was nothing to write home about but it still felt safe to me.
Out of all the characters in the series so far, I’d say Vivian is the most relatable in terms of trying new adventures, seeing what works, and stepping out of her comfort zone. She and Terrance were just so good for each other!
Thank you to BNA for an ALC of this title. All opinions are my own.
I listened to the audiobook that is narrated by Amy McFadden and produced by Blue Nose Audio.
We get to continue our journey with Vivian! I've been waiting to see if she will see that she still has things to live for and try new things, and we got it in this book. We also get to see how Dean is continuing to handle his diagnosis and working. Faith also has questions about her relationship with Ryan that she has to face.
✩°。⋆⸜ ♥️🎧✮ Audiobook Review! ✩°。⋆⸜ ♥️🎧✮ This is the seventh book in the Rosewood Beach series, a family saga I absolutely love. Vivian and Terrence’s story is sweet and heartwarming, and the ongoing family dynamics continue to be captivating. Amy McFadden delivered an excellent narration that brought the story to life. It's never too late to fall in love this grandmother discovers as the family prepares for a daughter's wedding and the arrival of a second grandchild. A confirmed bachelor softens and takes on new challenges just to be with the woman who caught his heart.
Nothing better than this heartwarming romance. All the characters show such beautiful caring and deeply kind heart to everyone they know and meet. I could not put this book down , its that good. Highly recommend this series. Enjoy
Sorry but to me this one was super slow. Just hard to get into it. I’ve read the first 6 and unfortunately the last 2 were not that interesting. Would I recommend them? Probably the first 5 but not the last 2.
This book was a really good read. A continuation of the Rosewood Beach series but this one focused on Vivian. It's hard to imagine being a widow when you are still such an active, energetic person. Grief takes on all different forms and phases. But as you move out of that intense grief, you start thinking where does my life go now, how do you feel about romance, can i really let go. These are things that Vivian faces, you should give this book a read to find out how she coops.
