Some nice short pieces to go over the first stages of playing - a good break for practicing between shifting between finger positions, and also involves some nice pieces based on scales that are easy to listen to and enjoy playing with plenty of exaggerated accents combined with a repeat with slurs - a students bible in terms of need to know and excellent memorisation practice for soloists, whether or not the violin is your principle instrument. A happy find from the Watson music library in Manchester, which they believed originally to be lost and were quite happy to find I had found it on their shelves, as am I! Next I am off to study a volume I found of the Bach three partitas.
