This was just so ..messy and hard to believe they have sucha deep love for each other but 🤷🏻‍♀️ ngl, I think the ending of this was perfect and if you’re okay with it you don’t need to read the second one (I’m going to tho lol)

Also, hated izzy. She was not the best friend nor daughter tbh

Got about 1/3 of the way through this book and just couldn’t finish it. The writing style is not for me - something about it wasn’t sitting right. I loved the Mr. Cane series by this author so I was surprised I didn’t like this one. I also didn’t love how they immediately hooked up. I was kinda hoping for some slow burn and angst.
