This one was brutal. Tara really was F’d over in this book. She gets her revenge though, and she is able to heal, with Gabe’s help. Even though Gabe was kind of an a$$, he was sweet and exactly what Tara needed.

Tara and Gabe were at a bar hanging out when another guy put his arm around her and she smiled at him. Gabe saw red, and he said some mean things to Tara which caused her to tell him to go home and she went back into the bar to hang out with some friends. Tara later left to go to another party and instead was brutally SA’d and left for dead (by Dean and Ned).
She woke up and was found by a couple, Ava and Elio. Elio is a capo in the Italian mafia. They take her in, help her heal, and train her to get her revenge. She is determined to find Dean and Ned on her own even though she has access to other resources. She decides not to go back to her old life (to Gabe) as no one came for her. During the SA and after she was dumped, at some point she was able to get to her phone and call Gabe, Reed, Nick, and Jessi but no one answered or called back. So she felt she wasn’t welcome anymore. Instead she decides to become justice to those that were hurt like her.
Gabe has been looking for Tara since she went missing over a year ago. He regrets his actions and the things he said to her. He was cheated on by a previous gf with his brother so he was very sensitive to that situation.
Tara comes to Gabe’s house because they unalived Dean before she was able to get to him, so she had questions. Reed and Demon are also at his house. After the shock, Reed and Demon leave, at Tara’s request, but vow to come back tomorrow to talk with her.
Gabe explains what happened in his past and apologizes profusely.
Tara understands why he felt that way but doesn’t blame him. She doesn’t blame anyone for what happened to her except Dean and Ned. Gabe tells her Ali (Reed’s gf) unalived Dean in self defense. Tara tells Gabe there was more than just Dean and thy start looking for Ned. Someone is causing mayhem for Tara, threatening her and set her house on fire. They think it is Ned the one doing it.
One of the women Tara saved, Heidi, was dating Houston. Tara unalived him and set Heidi free. Miles, was Houston’s brother but were separated in foster care when they were very young. Miles is the one causing all the craziness. He nabs Heidi and lures Tara. Miles SAs Heidi threatening Tara is next. Tara is able to turn the tables, with Heidi’s help.
Gabe, Reed and the rest come in as Tara is unaliving Miles.
Ned is found and unalived also. Tara decides to stay with Gabe and start over.

Listen, I'm going to make this short & sweet b/c this book absolutely deserves for people to go into it SPOILER-FREE. But let me tell y'all something—read this book. READ. THIS. BOOK! A.E. Greene always pulls me in with her storylines (which are always unique) but it's the raw motions she bleeds onto the page, the ones that ink themselves onto my heart, that gets me. With every single book I laugh, I cry, and I get so mad I nearly throw my Kindle. She puts her characters through h-e-double hockey sticks, but the ending is soooo worth it. So seriously, grab this book & dive in! You won't be disappointed. Word of warning though: Have tissues nearby. B/c you're going to need them!

I absolutely loved this book. It was so good. Gabe and Tara are amazing. Tara went through something so horrible. My heart bled for her. She is a freaking Queen. She got her justice and then some. Revenge is best served on a cold dish.
Gabe is so protective over Tara and understands her need for revenge and supports her while helping her. Their story was amazing. Absolutely loved this book and series. Can’t wait to read more books in the series. I’ve read all of A Greene’s books and she is one of my favorite authors. Kudos to her on an another amazing book!!!

omg absolutely loved this book!! Gabe and Tara's story will tear you to pieces for what these two have went through but when gabe learns the truth he will help her burn down the world with vengeance. Will these two get their happyly ever after or is it to late?
