When Morgan shows up on my doorstep wearing a pencil skirt and heels, demanding she be allowed to interview for the position I posted for a nanny, I'm reasonably sure she's joking.
The woman the kids take to immediately makes it plain straightaway that she has absolutely no experience as a nanny, and I wonder what's the real backstory to the slightly familiar-looking woman who doesn't seem to legally exist.
In my experience, women have secrets and it turns out Morgan is no exception. Her secrets take her away from her duties with some frequency, though her presence draws each of us out. Something about her begins to glue the pieces back together.
I'm exhausted, fighting to fill the financial holes my father's big dreams have created, and the truth is that my third-generation ranch is under threat from developers with big pockets.
The bigger problem? The kids Morgan is nannying aren't actually mine--not yet, and when the woman who's worming her way into my heart offers to help me fix that, some terrible things come to light. Can live with what she's hidden, or is it best for everyone if I just cut her loose?
This series never fails me, and so in a way I’m so sad to see it end. Every time I pick up one of The Wolf Mountain Ranchers book I’m immediately drawn in and devour it in just a few hours. This one was no exception! Watching the love story unfold not only between Grant and Morgan but also the beautiful found family they all became had me tearing up. I won’t give anything away but I’ll just say you should give this series a read. You can start anywhere but I would say definitely start at the beginning and enjoy falling in love with all of the characters in the series.
I mean, what a way to end the series! While other Wolf Mountain Ranchers books had more suspense peppered in than this one, Something Saved was not short on bringing the drama! There's a smallish 3rd act break up with some miscommunication that had me running to my DMs to unleash on Erin at one point. It's done in such a realistic way that it didn't give me the miscommunication/third act break up ick that most of the time happens with those tropes.
Grant and Morgan are both my favorite and my least favorite. haha They both fought their feelings for each other so much that it had me yelling at my kindle and at times slamming it shut to walk away for a bit. Grant's past (which we've come to learn about a little through the other books) really broke him and we all understand why. Having a hard time opening up and trusting Morgan was expected, but that man can be infuriating at times. However, the way they are together and the way they both are so patient and nonjudgmental and sweet melted my heart so many times. The way Grant and Morgan both are with the kids and the way they're able to chip away at the other's walls was so much fun to read. The slow burn is real in this one, however. It's totally worth it!
The kids...Omg Brandt and Amelia...I cannot get past how much I love these kids. I adore them and would adopt them myself if I could. Al...oh, Al...what a character! I adored her and her transformation in the book. It seemed like everyone was just getting by until Morgan came along and sprinkled her sunshine on all of them like unicorn dust. The fact that Morgan ever doubted herself or felt less than shocks me because she's so freaking strong and amazing. She's managed to hold on to her goodness when the world (society, exs, and her family) truly tried to take it from her.
Let me also just give a separate shout out to the banter/internal monologue in this book. I was cracking up so much at some of the things that came out of Morgan/Al's mouth that I got side-eyes from my husband wondering if I was okay.
I love the cracked door that was left open for Tucker/Talia/Rhys. Maybe....maybe one day we'll all be able to return to Wolf Mountain.
Thank you, Erin for the ARC and for this series and (most importantly) indulging my unhinged DMs while reading ALL OF THESE BOOKS. I can't wait to head over to Minnesota and see what those Benson brothers are getting up to!
Something Saved is book 5 in the Wolf Mountain Ranchers series. I have really enjoyed this series and sad to see it end!
Grant is a rancher who all of a sudden has custody of his niece & nephew. Morgan shows up after seeing an AD looking for a nanny. She had ran away from her old life and was looking for something new. I loved how Morgan came in and was able to turn things around in Grant's home. She developed an amazing relationship with the kids and even turned the grumpy housekeeper into a new person. She is exactly what they all needed. Grant & Morgan both had been hurt in the past. Grant had a hard time trusting Morgan meant the things she said but she wasn't going to give up on him. This one was definitely a slowww burn but it was worth the wait. There were some twists in the end that I definitely didn't expect! Erin is such a great storyteller. I enjoyed this one!
What to expect: 🤠Nanny 🤠Single Guardian 🤠Ranch life 🤠Slow burn 🤠Age Gap 🤠Divorced MC's 🤠Marriage of Convenience 🤠Grumpy/sunshine
This one comes out on September 17! Thank you so much to Erin FitzGerald for this ARC. This is my honest review.
I had high expectations for this book. Erin definitely met them all. The Wolf Mountain Ranchers have all taken up permanent residence in my heart 🥰 Adding Grant to the mix was easy.
The book is so wholesome. My heart ached several times while reading, first for Brandt and Amelia, and then for both Morgan and Grant. I loved reading how Grant and morgan fought for the children, for themselves, and for each other.
The tension between Morgan and Grant was amazing 🫠 I radiated through the screen, and when they finally let themselves at it, I was truly happy for them.
I'll definitely be coming back to this one, as well as the other books in this series. Jacob (book 3) is still my favorite. But Grant is battling out for second against Will (book 4).
Erin does it again! What a fabulous way to end this series! I adored these main characters so much. Like who doesn't love a good nanny/ single dad situation? Both of these characters have pasts and watching them move forward was great. A true slow burn that doesn't disappoint!
When Morgan shows up on my doorstep wearing a pencil skirt and heels, demanding she be allowed to interview for the position I posted for a nanny, I’m reasonably sure she’s joking. Let’s start this by saying, I was not expecting to get an ARC of this book but when I saw it in my inbox I was like 🥹🥹🥹. Erin and I have been friends for a WHILE and she was on of the first authors to support me and allow me the chance to review her books and I will always be grateful to her for that. Now to the book, yall it was SOOOO GOOD and I was giddy. I love the two main characters together and they made me so happy but goodness gracious did they pull at my heart strings. The side characters were the perfect comedic relief and I absolutely adored all of them. Amelia is probably my fav cause whew some of the stuff out of her mouth had me dying laughing but going you ain’t wrong 🤣🤣🤣. I would totally run away to this small town cause the found family was everything and I just want to be apart of it. I definitely think this is worth the read and I loved every second of being in this world!!!
This is book 5 in the Wolf Mountain Ranchers series but can absolutely be read as a standalone.
Here we have a grumpy Montana rancher who hires a Hollywood actress (running from a disastrous marriage) as a nanny. Morgan lands in Montana looking for a fresh start and practically demands Grant hire her as a nanny even though she lies about her experience, keeps her past a secret, and has no clue about caring for children - but the kids fall in love with her almost immediately. Get ready because these two children will melt your heart into a puddle.
This is some smart, quick-witted story telling that captures your attention immediately with smiles, and laughs. Then, as the story continues and Morgan finds herself needing this found family as much as they need her, you will get so emotionally invested that putting this book down will be almost impossible.
There’s so much to love about this story. First, little Brandt who’s starved for love. Then there’s Amelia, a teenager whose bad attitude starts to melt away the longer she spends time with Morgan. Plus there’s growly housekeeper, Alberte, who slowly warms up to Morgan. And then there’s Grant. Divorced, bitter, had two kids literally dumped on his porch, overwhelmed financially with his ranch, is not trusting of anyone, especially women, but somehow cannot resist falling for the nanny and even nicknames her “shortcake”.
What’s happens next? A marriage of convenience, to give the kids stability and save them from a neglectful mother. Grant and Morgan are both carrying so much baggage but they slowly learn that real feelings are becoming apparent in this so-called “business relationship.” Grant is a challenge for sure but wow does Morgan rise to meet that challenge. But. Secrets are never good and wow is there a big one on the horizon.
Morgan and Grant. They are their own worst enemy and absolutely perfect for each other. As much as Grant can be frustrating with Morgan trying endlessly to convince him what she feels is real, the truth is each of them were obviously sent as the salvation for the other. I absolutely loved them both!
All of this makes for a fun, emotional, heartwarming story that I highly recommend.
I want to thank the author for allowing me to read and review this arc.
I gotta be honest... I loved this. The meet cute with the immediate tension? Single dad x nanny? Quickly becoming one of my favorite tropes. I'm in love with Grant. Something about a grumpy man gets me every time.
Morgan is a famed Hollywood housewife who is tired of her frivolous lifestyle and is looking for something more fulfilling. She winds up on a ranch in Montana with a help wanted ad for a man looking for someone to watch his niece and nephew. Morgan was such a sweet fmc. I loved watching her "sprinkle her sunshine" everywhere. Her interactions with Grant, Alberte, and the kids were hilarious.
Grant is a grouchy, divorced, old but not really old rancher who ends up having to care for two kids after his brother and sister in law have skipped town. The minute Morgan comes knocking on his door, he knows he's in trouble. I'm issuing a petition for more men to be like Grant. He's caring, quiet, brooding, protective, never too proud to apologize... this is what the people want. Be more like this.
I love books that make me laugh, and this one certainly did that. It's not only an incredibly sweet romance, but also a beautiful story about a family finding each other.
I can’t believe this series is over… bittersweet ending and of course I read this working 24 hours as I always do with Erin’s books.
This isn’t really single Dad but single Uncle and I was living for it. And he was grumpy and she was sunshine so my favourite trope 😍 and was written in the best way. Sorry to those who adore slow burn because this was not slow at all!
Shortcake is now a fave nickname of mine 😂
I’m eager for the next series now 👀 thank you so much Erin for allowing me to be part of your journey. 🧡
This book was the most perfect ending for the wolf rancher series.
It's actually my favorite book out of the whole series!
I am so in love with the two main characters in this one. The FMC was absolutely amazing. She was super relatable while being in not such a relatable situation. The MMC was super grumpy, also thrown into a wild situation, and amongst all of the craziness they still found each other.
Another slow burn (typical for this series) & once it happens .. it happens. The tension is pure 🔥
I loved the found family aspect, with everyone on the farm. I also really enjoyed that there were cameos from the characters from the rest of the series!
You get: • Dual POV • Contemporary Spicy Romance • Slow Burn • Unexpected Guardian • Nanny/Single Dad • Small Town • Found Family
I'm sad to see this one end, but I'm excited to read more by Erin! Available on KU, ebook, and paperback.
Thank you to Erin Fitzgerald for the gifted e-book.
This is book 5 in the Wolf Mountain Ranchers series, and I'm absolutely blown away. I absolutely love this series.
Erin's writing brings so much emotion to the stories that you can't help but be drawn in. This particular story, featuring Grant and Morgan, was the best of the series. Watching Grant, who is broken and reserved, come to life when Morgan becomes the nanny for his niece and nephew was truly heartwarming. The transformation that takes place in their lives and in the McPherson house is so moving. The characters and setting are truly amazing.
I'm sad to see the series end, but I already plan on rereading these books. Plus, if you have Kindle Unlimited, you can read this book and the entire series for free. I highly recommend this book.
GAAAAHHHHHHHH!!! My heart is so full! I’ve never had so much fun reading a book where the MMC caused me such pain and AGONYYYY!!!! This is the finale of the Wolf Mountain Ranchers series and I can honestly say that I am sadden that this series has come to an end. Brandt captured my heart from the mere beginning of the book with his cute little lisp🥹. Grant really got on my nerves 😬 with his standoffish attitude towards Morgan. When he finally let his guard down and became intimate with her I was giggling and kicking my feet 🤭. His nickname for her made me blush like he was talking to me like sir! Don’t get me started 🙂↔️. Morgan was really the missing piece of the puzzle that Grant, the kids and Alberte needed in their small, simple life. I definitely gotta read books I-III😅.
It is truly so devastating to me that this is the last full-length story in this series. I am truly so in love with all of the characters and their entangled stories. But for real, this series will forever have a place in my heart, this story included.
I am so happy Grant finally has his happy ending. He's had the short end of the stick for this entire series so Morgan was definitely what he needed. Their angst was exactly what I've come to expect from Erin. They are such a natural pairing and draw out the best in each other. It certainly isn't simple for them to reach their happy ending but that is what makes it have that incredibly rewarding feeling.
If it wasn't for Erin, I still wouldn't be a fan of kids in books. Brandt and Amelia are both precious and entertaining respectively. They added some very necessary propulsion to the plot. Without them, this story wouldn't have been nearly as impactful. Seriously, if you don't like single-parent figures, this series may very well change your mind as it did mine. Also, I want to highlight how fun of a character Alberte is as well. She pairs so well with the kids and provides some much-needed comic relief.
Of all the books in this series, this one really excels at having an intriguing intermingled A and B plot. It gave a more sitcom feeling in that way which I didn't notice in the other books. It was a nice twist to the style of the series thus far that kept things interesting. I love it when the MCs in romance books grow both together and apart.
My favorite scene in the book was definitely when Jenna showed up. It was the justice for Grant moment I was hoping for and made me giggle.
This book was also riddled with many fun references to all sorts of things. I won't go into specifics so you can find them on your own but they certainly brought me joy
This book does contain open-door spice. It can probably be skipped without missing too much important content.
Overall, I highly recommend this series as a whole. Not only is it written by a woman who has my heart, but it will keep you up reading with angst to die for. The characters have wonderfully rich backstories that truly impact who they are today. Now that the series is (mostly) concluded, you have zero excuses to not binge the whole thing!
This is an amazing grumpy/sunshine, slow-burn romance that evokes all of the emotions. Morgan is a sassy, bold, and potty-mouthed, almost divorced socialite just trying to distance herself from her ex and her past. Though she has no experience with kids, she applies for a nanny position in Montana. Despite the lack of experience with kids, she makes an immediate connection with both Amelia and Brandt, the two kids that Grant, Morgan’s boss, has taken into his home after their parents took off. Sarcastic and independent Amelia and sweet Brandt who craves affection soon claim a big chunk of her heart. So does their far too attractive uncle. Grant is older, gruff and growly, with his own big heart that he does his best to keep hidden. Also divorced, Grant has had his heart stomped on and is reluctant to let down the guards he has erected around it. Yet, Morgan and his niece and nephew find their way around and under those guards. He hadn’t wanted to hire Morgan at all, but after she made the two kids smile and laugh for the first time in far too long, he couldn’t let her leave.
Morgan is the catalyst to the changing relationship between Grant and the two kids. She brings light and cohesion to their lives, turning them into a family unit. She even wins over the rather surly housekeeper. The attraction between Morgan and Grant smoulders and nearly combusts. Unfortunately, secrets and spectres from their pasts threaten everything they have between them. The solution they devise is one that will test the deeper feelings that both refuse to acknowledge, even to themselves.
I loved reading this book! I loved the changes that Morgan brought to the kids, Grant and Alberte. I laughed through much of this book, thoroughly enjoyed the way Morgan charmed everyone and liberally “ sprinkled sunshine”. When trouble rolled in, I gritted my teeth and waited for Morgan and Grant to work things out and get the happily ever after I desperately wanted for them. This is a book I will be reading again and again.
"There were things I couldn't tell him; That this place felt like home. That I would spend every penny I had to see the kids placed with him. That if he sent me back to New York, I'd leave my heart in Montana." 💬
4 / 5 ⭐️
Something Saved is book 5 in the Wolf Mountain Ranchers series, and it features Grant and Morgans story! I gotta say, Erin knows just how to write MMC's that make you get butterflies inside you didn't know you could still get! Grant is so sweet, underneath that whole,Mr. Grumpy front he puts on - Morgan is a firecracker of a FMC , that balances Grant out and makes for such an interesting romance between the two 💓 This is a slow build that burns slowly, but it's soo worth it in the end! 100% recommend you put the entire series on your tbr and get to it !

This was a wonderful book! What i love most about Erins books is the Montana setting ( and because of Yellowstone (the series) i have a very clear picture in my head) and the side stories of the ranch life is so good!
The best part of this book i think is all the wonderful characters we get to meet. And I also love the way all the characters from previous books make an appearance.
Morgan: I love how she is independent and strong but still needing to be taken care of, even if she might not have known it. She loves fiercely and her relationship with the kids and Alberte is so heartwarming.
Grant is a grump that has been badly burned and can’t express feelings with words but his struggles with the feelings he all of a sudden has is adorable and of course a little frustrating, because damn it, just give in. He is a wonderful person considering he is raising his niece and nephew, and when he and Brandt find a connection, that is just the sweetest thing.
The kids are awesome, strong considering what they have been through. The innocent and insecure Brandt who just starves for affection and bloom out when he gets it, and Amelia, I guess the same but in a different way. It’s heartbreaking and heartwarming in a huge mix!
Alberte, the Danish maid, the grump that is warming up to Morgan, is so thoughtful and attentive. Her development throughout the book is amazing.
And they have their own Swedish cowboy, Jan. 🥰 that was such a lovely little note!
The slow burn is slow burning so slow I wanted to scream at them. They have an obvious attraction and I just wanted to scream at them to give in! But of course it was all worth it in the end. ❤️
This is the final book in The Wolf Mountain Ranchers, you can also grab all five on Kindle Unlimited if you’re looking for a binge read.
This entire series has been second chances, finding love in unexpected places and at unexpected times, personal growth, and forming everlasting bonds. "Something Saved" delivered on all of this.
Grant is a broody cowboy who was saddled with raising his older brothers kids who were literally shipped to him from God knows where. He stepped up to the task of providing for them the best that he knew how. In order to best suit their needs, he hires a nanny.
That's where Morgan comes in . . She's a radiant ball of sunshine
She's that feeling you get when you take the first sip of a freshly cracked can of your favorite carbonated drink, and the bubbles tingle as they go down. It's exciting. It's invigorating. It brings copious amounts of joy and makes you just SIGH. Morgan embodies all the good in the world. She's selfless. She's patient. She's kindness. She's intellectual. She'll be an amazing role model. Even going through a divorce from a man who cheated on her & belittled her, she chose integrity & dignity.
The chemistry between Grant & Morgan floated on the surface during the entire book. You always knew it was there. It was unavoidable as you dove right in. The way that Grant showed Morgan that he loved her long before he said it, long before he even KNEW it..... SWOOOOON The way he bought her live plants. Seriously!?
I liked that the author gave us a slow burn for this one. It gave the characters time to identify the fears within the other and find a way to show each other how they will love the other. They helped each other realize that they were no longer alone. They would conquer the world together.
Amazing story. Amazing series!!! I'm super sad that this series is over
Well.. miss Erin did not disapoint with this one. As the previous books in this series I am in awe. I loved everything about this story! The writings, the storyline, the twists and the characters. There was no flaw!
In here we follow Morgan's, after leaving California and ending up in Montana. She sees an add for a nanny job and goes for it! She is leaving behing her wealthy and flashy (and also very fake) life, and cheating husband and is starting new. She ends up in Grant's house, taking care over his nephews and little by little entering their hearts. She never had been a nanny before, but she actually was so true, kind and honest that she made it work perfectly. She made a huge difference in those kids lifes, and even in Alberte's too (she cracked that tough cookie).
I loved Morgan's sense of humor. It had me laughing out loud in so many moments! We may no know it but sometines, all it takes is one person to make an impanct and change our lifes for the better. Morgan was the glue in this family. She bonded the together, and made them realise how lucky they all were to have each other. Made them apreciate themselves and each other more. I can say we all need a Morgan in our lives, every once in a while, if not permanently!
Grant's been burned before and honestly he doesn't trust women (or anyone really) all that easily. But he has to give in to Morgan. Even his grumpy self can't stay indifferent to her warmth. Their relationship was a slow burn, but when it started ir really caught on fire.
I'm not gonna spoil others experience of this book with the many twists and turns we have in the book, but I can only say that all of them are worth it. I'm just sorry to see this series ending! I got quite atached to this world and character over this books.
𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐝 is the 5th and final book in the Wolf Mountain Ranchers series by Erin FitzGerald, featuring an epic emotional journey for the grumpy rancher, Grant, and his quirky nanny, Morgan, who sprinkled sunshine everywhere she went. He never imagined he’d be trying to raise two love-starved kids that aren’t actually his, and she was a former Hollywood housewife who never planned to be a rancher’s nanny, but they are they exactly what the other needs? Or will secrets from the past ruin everything they are trying to build?
I loved every second of this story… the compelling characters, authentic emotions, the witty banter, and the surprising plot twists!! I love a good Grumpy/sunshine, and this was top notch! The two traumatized kids, Amelia and Brandt, stole my heart, especially little Brandt who was a clingy little love monkey. The way Morgan was able to connect with them was simply beautiful, and she was the bridge that Grant needed to truly bond with his niece and nephew. She even thawed the prickly housekeeper Alberte, and built a family among them. In true Erin FitzGerald fashion, both main characters had plenty of drama in their past to cause trust issues and other problems. The storytelling was masterful, old friends made appearances, and I’m a little bummed that the series is over. I’m holding out hope for a story for Amelia when she gets older, because she was fun to watch.😉
I received an ARC for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
There’s something special when you’re reading a book that features a broken MMC and FMC. This was the case in Something Saved by Erin Fitzgerald.
Grant went through it a bit in this book. His heart was so bruised by someone he thought he could love; so much so that when his nephew and niece, Brandt and Amelia are practically dumped into his life permanently, he doesn’t know how to give love back. Bottom line, all of them are starving for love and affection.
When Morgan comes to Grant, practically requesting the nanny job, you know she’s escaping something. Despite the problems she’s going through, Morgan showers Brandt with so much love and wins Amelia’s trust almost instantly.
I was rooting for both Grant and Morgan because they had a hard time trusting. The attraction was there but so was the hesitation. Grant at times would make things even more awkward, however, I understood it. He’s been burned when it comes to opening up and letting someone else in.
Brandt is the cutest little boy. I absolutely loved him and because of Morgan’s attention, Brandt slowly grows closer to his uncle.
I knew that Alberte was going to thaw out like a snowman on a summer day. It was perfect writing Morgan chipping away at tough exterior. The two of them bonding; especially Alberte sharing her life with Morgan was sweet.
What gets me every time in romance novels is when the book men give their girl nicknames, and Grant nicknaming Morgan Shortcake shortly after meeting her was so cute.
Something Saved was such a beautifully written second chance story.
I'm so sad this series has come to an end. I have been lucky enough to read the entire series as an ARC and am honoured to be part of Erin's team and Erin herself takes the time to get to know each and every one of her team members as an individual and I feel thats important, it gives us an open dialogue to ask questions and offer advice to not only Erin but also each other. I love our little corner of crazy. For 5 books I've loved Erin's writing style, she goes all in from the first chapter and I love that about her, there's no guess work.
So on to my review
Morgan aka Morgana aka Shortcake, is our sunshine, reality tv superstar turned Nanny, running away from an unhappy/complicated marriage. She has secrets, twists and turns, but ultimately she just has a whole lot of love to give the right people, namely Brandt, Amelia, Al and Grant.
Grant aka Grump Morgans boss, as his nickname suggests he's a grump, he's divorced, a single uncle, struggling to cope with a teenager and a child who have been abandoned by his brother and his brothers ex, all whilst juggling his Ranch. He needs some affection thats for sure, he needs to know someone has his back, a team mate that's loves him with their whole heart.
Al, Grants housekeeper with a face like thunder but a heart of gold, I loved everything about her. Mrs Cooper who?? I'm joking we all love Coop.
This book had me laughing, swooning, reaching for my boyfriend when the spice hit and biting my nails when the plot twisted. It did not disappoint.
Oh my gosh. Grant & Morgan might be my favourite couple from this series now 🥰 their immediate chemistry & sarcastic banter had me rooting for these two instantly!
🩵Grant doesn’t know why he hires the little redhead who shows up at his door, demanding to be interviewed for his Nanny job-posting. Wait. That’s a lie. He knows exactly why. It’s because of how she immediately had an impact on the 2 kids that have been left in his care. And it didn’t hurt that she was just a little bit gorgeous 😉
🩵Morgan leaves a life behind in California (including a douche of an ex-husband), and finds herself on a doorstep in Montana, determined to get the grumpy, yet gorgeous rancher to hire her. Sure, she might not have Nanny experience, but she knows how to show love, and those kids need as much of it as she can give 🩷 but with the stares and comments from her new boss, she begins to realize her fantasies about him may not be one-sided 😘
🩵I THOUGHT we were gonna get away with a squeaky clean HEA, until I got to “Some small town farmer’s giving them a real run for it.”, and my brain flipped the “oh shit here we go” switch! 😅 I should’ve known better after 5 books that Erin doesn’t give us an HEA that easily 😂
Tropes: 🩵Dual POV 🩵Grumpy x Sunshine 🩵Marriage of Convenience 🩵Accidental Secret Identity 🩵Found Family
Thank you SO MUCH to Erin for the chance to read Grant & Morgan’s story, and, as always, for having me along on for the ride! 🩷😘
I loved this final book in the Wolf Mountain Ranchers series!! I loved Grant and Morgan’s story, and honestly all of the other characters as well!! As always, thank you so much Erin for allowing me to read this one early! 🤍

What a page turner! Not only a heartfelt read, but you get sucked in right from the beginning! You won’t want to put this book down! This book is filled with secrets, lies, disappointment, and love.
Grant is left with raising his niece and nephew after they were left on his doorstep by their mother. Their dad is nowhere to be found. Morgan is the next to land on his doorstep for an interview as nanny. He knows nothing about her, but gives her a chance. To me, right from the get go, Morgan and Grant have chemistry. Their banter and the way they get along is off the charts. Morgan even has a way with Alberte, the housekeeper. Alberte is a hard shell to crack, but it may be Morgan that cracks her shell. Can she change the way Alberte sees things in life. There are things from Grant’s past that don’t allow him to fully give himself over though to anyone. Wait til you find out what that could be? Morgan is also going through things herself. What could that be? Is this a match made in heaven? When something happens that could take the kids from Grant, Morgan steps in. What does she do? Wait til you find out! Will it be for the good? In the end, what happens with Grant and Morgan? Do they get a happy ending? Will the kids be raised in a loving home? All your burning questions will be answered.
Oh, I truly cannot believe I’m saying this, but this is the final book of the Wolf Mountain Ranchers series, and I am really sad about it. Mainly because I was really trying to figure out how to find a real-life Mark Branson to give me a job and a free house! (lol)
I’ve said this before, and I’m going to say it again: Erin has this amazing storytelling ability that makes you feel like you’re a part of the story.
Morgan has lived a few different lives. She was a Park Avenue princess, a wife to a horrible soccer star, and now she’s settling in my favorite place—Montana. Grant has faced a lot of disappointment in his life, so the last thing he ever expected was for his sister-in-law to drop her two kids off on his porch and disappear.
This was another slow burn, but it was worth the wait. I loved watching them slowly heal each other. Morgan was everything Grant, the kids, and even Al needed. They all allowed her to be her true self after she had spent most of her life living for other people and what they wanted her to be. Although this story is about Grant, I especially loved her relationship with Amelia and Brandt. They both just wanted to be loved, and she gave them that!
I could talk all day about this book and the series, but I won’t do that to y’all. So, pack your bags, and I’ll see y’all in Minnesota for the Colson Creek series!
This was the final book in the series and it was a satiating conclusion to the series. This is a small town, ranch life, slow burn, contemporary romance read. The book is told in dual pov and features the FMC, Morgan and MMC, Grant. I luv, luv. luv the grumpy/sunshine trope, add in a single father figure and I was definitely up burning the midnight oil on this one. Grant was a cautious, brooding, and protective grump. The character contrasts made the story more entertaining and the slow burn hit stronger once they finally came together. Morgan brought that sunshine and was the missing piece to their family dynamic. I enjoyed reading her relationship development with Grant as well as the children. As per usual, the writing, storyline, and character development were well done. There were also a few twists in signature Erin style. This author writes heartfelt dynamic characters whom I’m always rooting for. This one will make you laugh, smile, and swoon!
Warning, This one will melt hearts! 🥹😍⚠️

This was one of the best small town romance series that I’ve read. Overall, luved this read!
Something Saved by Erin FitzGerald (@erinfitzgeraldwrites) 🦬🏔️🩵💍
“God save me, I'd just realized I was going ape on her because I was jealous of plastic.”
When I tell you I cackled…
Something Saved is book five (the final book…sad face) in the Wolf Mountain Ranchers series, and this feels like such a wild, emotional ride together. This story featured rancher Grant, and actress turned nanny, Morgan.
I love this series so much. I love a grumpy, strong hero, and the woman that breaks through that mold for a happily ever after in Montana.
Erin writes beautiful side characters too! Each of her books features a phenomenal woman of a housekeeper, and book five was no different. Alberte was written as tough as they come, and she too just needed someone to soften her shell.
The kids, Amelia and Brandt were so lucky to have Grant and Morgan fight for their love, protection, and support.
A five star rating from me, and I can’t wait to recommend this series to my friends. I am so so sad to see it come to an end, but it sure was a happy one.
𝙎𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙙: Wolf Mountain Ranchers Book 5 By Erin Fitzgerald ✩✩✩✩.5
✨Single Parent 💙Love Shy MMC ✨Fiesty FMC 💙Abandonment Issues ✨Ranch Life 💙Made Family ✨New Second Chance
The finale standalone in the Wolf Mountain Ranchers series features Morgan and Grant. Two people from very different walks of life but both having experienced marriage and loss. Could this be a second chance to find forever? A lone rancher and the actress/ex-trophy wife. He is raising two kids with abandonment issues. She is looking to lay low during her divorce when she insists on the nanny job.
What a beautiful story for Morgan and Grant. Morgan really was full of sunshine and with her kindness and genuineness made such a difference for the McPherson family.
My little micro trope moment in the book is Grant saying “Means it’s a wife thing.” Had me melting for him even more with his meaning. This book had me tearing up for parts, frustrated with Grant and my heart going soft for Brandt. A great addition to the series and of course seeing cameo of the previous characters is always a win.
This was such an enjoyable book, I was gutted it was finished!
Morgan is used to high-profile lifestyle and living in Hollywood - what she isn’t used to is dirt roads and being in the middle of nowhere. Grant is struggling to juggle managing the ranch, the kids, financial burdens…posting an ad for a Nanny, he doesn’t know what to expect, it sure isn’t Morgan. With secrets, tension and angst, neither of them are sure how to be around each other…but neither wants to say goodbye.
I was squealing, laughing and tearing up while reading this book, the characters are fantastically written.
The good ol’ grumpy x sunshine trope works so well in this book. Grant is about as grumpy as they get, and Morgan is sprinkling her sunshine all around. The opposites attract and their ability to overcome obstacles is truly amazing.
The quick comebacks, flirty banter and heartwarming conversations between the main characters and the children/Alberte is so sweet. All of them grow and change in the best kind of ways.
A brilliant final instalment with all the twists and turns we know this author can give us, this book is one to add to your collection!
Morgan left her life behind without a second glance. What she didn't expect to find was a new home in the middle of nowhere Montana, with a grumpy rancher, a dour housekeeper, & two kids who've had their lives turned upside down in the blink of an eye.
Grant never expected to become a father this late in life, but when his niece & nephew are dropped on his door he can’t turn them away. It has taken some big adjustments for everyone to figure out how to navigate this new normal, but can the new nanny, Morgan, be the secret to bringing everyone together?
Erin Fitzgerald has ended the Wolf Mountain Ranches series perfectly with this novel. She always puts her heart & soul into her writing, and the finale of this series was no exception.
While Something Saved could be depicted as more tame compared to its series counterparts, I loved the fact that I could connect with Morgan & Grant on a more personal level. Their problems & hurdles to overcome were real-life & relatable.
Alberte was an unexpected secondary character that quickly stole my heart. She came across as strict & unwavering initially, but all she needed was some kindness & a new unexpected friend to help bring her out of her shell.
I am sad to see this series end, as it has held a special place in my heart, but I’m excited to know that Erin has a new series in the works that will be equally as amazing!
