The book starts out at the Primal Academy where they teach all of those that have an affinity to drawing different types of ether and channeling it to cast spells are trained. Ryn is a Primal Conjurer in that he can draw all different types of ether and channel it. Someone like him comes around once in a hundred years. Everyone else can only channel one type of either. The first book is him learning in sort of an adult Harry Potter type environment, except he is expected to bond with a different woman for each type of ether. He is given by the Righteous sect a woman who can draw either but can't channel it. They aren't to fall in love, but they do. She is to be his liaison to the Academy and the Righteous sect. The biggest challenge are devils. Those who can go into the firmament can be seduced by devils and demons with the promises of power and other things. Anyone who can channel can go into the firmament. It appears that another Devil war is coming and they need the Primal Conjurer to stop this up coming war.
In following books there is intrigued, betrayal, a visitor from the future and more bonding with more women, as Ryn travels around to stop the upcoming war before it starts.

Enticing, achieves mastery of fantasy framework, relational and emotional growth

It is uncommon to find a series scoring high in all three areas: 1) the fantasy world with creative magical concepts (types of ether, firmament, time-multiverse, page-turning action, meaningful plot...), 2) the depth of characterization with relationship and emotional growth, and 3) the spice in abundance, crunchy details, and seasoned adult-harem problematic.
The author successfully delivers what could be a solid stand-alone fantasy epics with in addition a quality and hot romance, without drop in intensity over 2133 pages. Congratulations!
