Collects issues 1-4 of Psychoanalysis, the complete run of the a short-lived comic book published by EC Comics from March through September, 1955. Psychoanalysis was the fifth title in EC Comic's New Direction line. The bi-monthly comic was published by William Gaines and edited by Al Feldstein. Psychoanalysis was approved by the Comics Code Authority, but newsstands were reluctant to display it. It lasted a total of four issues before being canceled along with EC's other New Direction comics. In 1988, Russ Cochran Publishing collected all four issues as part of a long-term project of reprinting everything EC Comics published.
Albert Bernard Feldstein was an American writer, editor, and artist, best known for his work at EC Comics and, from 1956 to 1985, as the editor of the satirical magazine Mad. After retiring from Mad, Feldstein concentrated on American paintings of Western wildlife.
