Father Rune McDaniel is determined to live as a faithful, pious man who serves only the church, distancing himself from the ways of the world. He never counted on crossing paths with Farrah, a beautiful thief who gets caught stealing chocolate in the marketplace…and steals his holy intentions right along with it.
Now, he’s been caught by his superior in a compromising position with the tempting girl and his collar is on the line. He’ll have to pass a series of sensual tests, involving Farrah, to prove to the elder clergyman that he’s not going to forsake his faith for the beauty. And if he passes a single one of them, it’ll be a miracle…
EDITED TO ADD: You guys have a lot of free time if you're going to start an argument over A JESSA KANE BOOK lmao. I'll say this: Jessa Kane has already written a non-virgin fmc, it's not the end of the world if i ask her to do it more often. She's still my favorite author, so i can have an opinion. Don't feel threatened. Go your way because you're bombarding me with unnecessary notifications.
We have here a difficult tale about a Priest and the young woman that he comes to love, causing him to choose in which capacity he wants to serve the Lord.
This story starts out very intriguing. Mysterious even. Which is what hooked me for the first 5 chapters.. But it soon loses that and flies right into predictable territory.. Now, I will say the characters are well written and as simple as the plot may be, there is nothing simple about these people and the plights that they're contending with. I felt really bad for Father Rune McDaniel, (Bless me Father for his name is hawt!) 😂 He is a good man. Faithful. What the community here needed, in order to change things for the better. But the villain of this story, Monsignor H., Rune's superior, is definitely what I would call a snake in the grass.
This is THE MOST corrupt man to ever wear a collar, probably. Once you learn his motives for calling for the tests he has Rune and Farrah engage in, you'll want to skin this man alive..
Farrah- I really like her. Though she was young, she still had this sort of grit about her that only those young, who have been through some things would possess. Her life circumstances demanded she make choices she never would have otherwise. But her blind faith in the outcome and trying to do what was ultimately best for Rune, proved to be her saving grace. Which led to the blessings that followed..
Now, the reasons why I could not give this Jessa Kane Novella 5 stars, is because although I love Rune and Farrah as individuals, I was not completely sold on their pairing. Something was missing here with them. I can't put my finger on exactly what, I just know that they lacked it.. There were very hot interludes here, but why they were happening/ being initiated kinda put a wet blanket on everything, and I couldn't fully pick up what they were putting down here for majority of the story, until the very end.
Then you have the very anti-climactic non dealing of Monsignor H.. WTH was that?! So yeah.. this was a bummer..
I do love the outcomes for Farrah and Rune though. I did like their Epilogue as well. There are a few quotes that I had to highlight for this story too. Some were hot. Others were funny or really struck a nerve with me😂
This was a decent read but not my fave Jessa Kane work.
Would I recommend?= Yes Plot?=3 Plight?=3.5 Spice?=4 MCs?=Not quite Yin & Yang but close End/Epilogue?=3.5
Jessa MF Kane has come to us with book three in a wicked series about praise and domination. All these books are standalone and can be read without reading the others in the series. However, book one almost turned me to sin *wink wink* This story starts off with Father McDaniel walking through a marketplace with the other Monsignor of the church. That’s when Father McDaniel aka Daddy Rune for us filthy heathens sees her.
Fiery haired and beautiful just running through the marketplace looking completely out of place but tempting him so. Then she takes off with an item that isn’t her own and a chase breaks out. Fiery haired Farrah runs off with a piece of food and the shop vendor runs after her it’s up to Daddy Rune to save her right ?
The last thing I expect to see is a priest holding my attacker by the throat. Two feet off the ground.
Rune is nothing Farrah ever expected but there is something about him that sets her blood on fire. He’s strong, powerful and weather-beaten but he’s also a man of the cloth so that doesn’t make sense. The worse part is the look in his eyes make Farrah want to commit all the sins she was told not to as a child. Maybe she’ll part her legs for the big strong priest or maybe he’ll demand it, like this !!! “Farrah?” he says, voice low-pitched. “Yes?” His gaze flickers to mine, danger lurking in their depths. “Close your legs, before I shove them open them all the way.”
Dooo you see the freaking spice ?! I know isn’t it amazing and guess what ?! They get caught but that’s not even the half of it that’s just chapter one. As things progress these two go on a journey of self discovery as the Monsignor forces them to do these test of wills to see if Father McDaniel will break his vow to God.
Let’s see a few quotes where the boundaries are absolutely pushed !!! Then knocked down !! Number #1 “For instance…I’ve never wondered before today what it would feel like to have a man rut me on the ground.” The words are barely out of my mouth before Rune grips the meat of my arms, backing me into the darkness, the stone pillar of the gate blocking us from view of the church. “Just like that, then?” His mouth rubs side to side against mine, his breath coming in quick, harsh pants. “The temptation has begun?”
Number # 2
As soon as the monsignor has cleared the doorway, Farrah starts to babble. “I’m…I think I’m going to have p-pleasure, F-father.” “An orgasm,” I correct her, my teeth bared against her mouth. “God help me, I’m going to have one too, sweetheart.
Finally Number #3 because at this point you should be going onto the Zon and purchasing this already !!
“Drink your milk, sweetheart. Drink it all for Daddy.” Her lips wrap around me, warm and wet. Excitement flaring in her eyes when I call myself that name, her fists flexing a little tighter to my length, pumping, stroking. “Hide my sin down deep in that tummy.”
Woah, I know you need a cigarette and a nap too. No worries I won’t tell anyone!! Happy reading everyone !
„Drink your milk, sweetheart. Drink it all for Daddy. Hide my sin down deep in that tummy.“
This one was wild and I loved it!!! So he’s a priest, she’s a thief and within a few pages we’re already running through a crowded marketplace and breaking vows left and right. Farrah’s fiery, scrappy and definitely not the soft-spoken church girl type but that doesn’t stop Rune, our conflicted, weathered, too-hot-to-be-holy priest, from being drawn to her like sin itself.
“If I was a man of the world, instead of a man of God, I would find a way to wrap it in diamonds. Feel the shape of them when you allow me deep, you sweet little thing.“
Their connection hits fast but feels electric. He’s supposed to be above it all and yet there’s something about her that tempts him more than any devil ever could. And it’s not just lust … he suffers for her, in that achy, desperate, “trying to be good but failing spectacularly” kind of way. Meanwhile, Farrah is figuring herself out too, what she likes, what she really likes, and how wanting something a little rough doesn’t make her bad, just real. And the way he handles that? With patience, care, and so much soft aftercare I wanted to cry.
“She's not merely a woman, she's an experience. A daily resurrection. The love of a lifetime.“
There’s this twisted little test-of-faith subplot too, where the higher-ups want to see if Rune can resist temptation, which obviously he cannot and honestly thank God for that. Watching them fall apart together, then piece something tender and filthy and real out of the mess? So good!! Their chemistry was actually insane.
This really was a 10/10 read. I definitely would commit blasphemy again.
So... that was incredibly hot. Checks all the boxes for a good smut, I tell ya.
However, this is lil me problem, I know Jessa Kane's best and while this is extremely hot on paper, I miss the sweetness too. I want my sweets with a side of filthy fucking please.
MMC has been raised by a promiscuous father and that gave him a bad insight on sex. He decides to remain virgin and join priesthood. Every thing is working fine until he sees a beautiful poor redhead stealing a bar of chocolate on the village market.
He decides to follow her and ends up saving her from the owner of the chocolate who intended to rape her as punishment. Suddenly the MMC's supervisor comes and he obviously sees that MMC and FMC were shy from a very carnal deed so he threatens to excommunicate him. FMC feels guilty she lies. MMC saying that he really thinks priesthood is his calling.
That supervisor comes with this asinine idea. He orders FMC to spend 2 days in the church where she's tasked to seduce MMC in three different tests. If he fails then he's not fit for the cloth. The first test was that she must sit on his lap and grid on him telling the supervisor whether or not he got an erection hahahahah!
As with all Jessa Kane books, I had a lot of yummy fun. She's as delightfully kinky as ever.
She’s not merely a woman, she’s an experience. A daily resurrection. The love of a lifetime.
Farrah(18, virgin) is doing the classic "stealing food for her and her sickly aunt" routine when she gets chased by someone who wants to take her cookie! Father Rune McDaniel(28, virgin, priest) comes to the rescue of the sweet lass, who turns out to be a siren. Yada yada, Rune gets caught being tempted and is put through a series of tests to convince the Monseigneur that he really is priestly. Eventually - he fails. YAY for all of us.
This one definitely needed a good edit. At one point, her name was Farah and then it was Farrah. I still had fun.
Kinkiest line had me laughing.... but some of y'all will be triggered....
☆2 I guess not even JK can get me to like priests as romantic heroes.
This was too cringey not to be outrageously funny imo. 😬 I didn’t like that the H allowed certain situations to play out that left the h so vulnerable to the obvious villain. I wanted his protectiveness to outweigh his willingness to submit to the Monseigneur’s ridiculous “tests.” 😒 Got better towards the end, but overall not for me.
For the life of me, I couldn't figure out in which century is this comedy happening. Something like middle ages, but then he is pulling his zipper down. It still troubles me that I missed something.
I have no idea where and when this story is set in but I had a great time with the priest hero seduction plot, all vibes babes. It's also a two for one virgins MCs
Alright besties, I regret to say this is the worst in the series thus far FOR ME. Both of the characters were unlikable. The smut wasn’t smutting the same. Idfk man, not my cup of tea. I fear the characters barely had a conversation. Anyways, on to the next 😂
