Liam

The heart is fickle. One day, you love something or someone, and then the next, they destroy you with their lies, and that love disappears.

I’m over the lies and the deceit. So, I tell my wife I want a divorce, only to find out she’s fighting for her life, against a disease that doesn’t like to lose. What kind of man would I be if I went through with ending our marriage knowing she’s sick?

So, I stay. I raise our daughter, and I’m there to help her when she needs me. Her best friend, Aurora, is there too, which becomes a problem because Aurora is everything my ex isn’t, and with each passing day, I fall harder for her, and my guilt for those feelings grows.

Aurora

When Hope told me about her diagnosis, I wanted to do anything I could to help her through this. I vowed to be there for her, to help in any way I could.

I jumped in to help with Winnie and picked up the slack where Liam couldn’t. With each day, we watched her condition worsen. I spent more time with them, mostly Liam and me, and in time, we grew to be good friends. After we lost Hope to her illness, the friendship I thought I had found in Liam was destroyed when he pushed me away with words that cut to the core.

When Liam reaches out to heal the wound between us, we begin to grow close again, and I can admit to myself that my feelings for Liam go far beyond simple friendship. When Liam shares the biggest secret of his life with me, and the truth about his relationship with Hope comes to life, everything changes between us. His guilt will not let him fully move on with his life.

How can I convince him that if he’d let me, I’d love him and his daughter for eternity? I’d give him this heart with no regrets.

This Heart is book four, and the last book in the Moose Village series.

The truth of everything between Hope and Liam will infuriate you. And you don’t really know where to direct that anger because even though it’s a BOOK, you’ve spent time with Hope and it’s wrong to harbor such animosity for the dead. Right? But you can be mad at Liam for his retreat from life. Until you learn the real reasons. I’d figured a few of them, but even those weren’t the whole truth. And then you can be sort of mad, but mainly sad and angry for him. Which again sends you back into the “who the heck can I be mad at” spiral! But wait. We CAN be mad at someone. You’ll find out who, and trust me, you’ll stay mad at that one!

I adored a certain sister though. She is the voice of reason and reality and she holds no punches when addressing the truth of everything that brought us to this point. She also helps Liam figure himself out and make the push to win the woman he really wants. So I adore her. I love Aurora. I love Liam. And I already want more of this series!

So, yeah. This is emotional. Angering. Bittersweet.

ARC Review: Kelly Elliott
This Heart (Moose Village#4) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.75/ 🌶🌶

The Moose Village Series has come to an end with this is beautiful book. If you love single dad, book store owner, friends to lovers and more romantic tropes then this book is for you.

I absolutely enjoyed reading this book and felt like it was awesome little too short. It left me wanting more moments with Aurora and her friends. Liam is an amazing dad to Winnie, who's just so amazing its difficult not to fall in love with her character. Their connection for each other grew as their friendship developed.

Aurora is an independent, loving person who owns her own bookstore and loves being with her family and friends. Liam is a handsome restaurant and bar owner, who becomes a single widowed father to his daughter Winnie, after his wife passes away. Aurora becomes part of there lives, and is there for both Liam and Winnie, and thats when the feelings start to develop.

Winnie was the sweetest and greatest addition to the book.

Best recommendation for booklovers for all the romance.

Thank you Kelly Elliott for giving me this amazing opportunity to read this ARC and to give my honest review just I loved.

This was such a beautiful story and I’m so sad this is the last book of this series and the first one I read 🥹 but also happy because now I have to read the previous ones and enjoy this characters a little longer 🙂‍↔️

I loved everything about this book, I loved the depth of Liam’s story and his journey of grieve and guilt after Hope died, it was so raw and complex and I hurt for him, I understood why he felt he needed to push Aurora away, and even when I wanted to shake him some sense into him when Kim appeared, I forgive him because I also understood his reasoning and was so glad when she leave 🙂‍↔️

I loved Aurora and how strong she is, how patient and empathetic, she lost her friend and for a little time she lost Liam and Winnie too, and I was so very happy when the both of them could managed to leave the par in the past and find each other to be together with Winnie who’s by the way the most cute little girl I’ve ever read 😭❤️

This book was a very sweet surprise and I can’t wait to read more about the author ✨

This is the fourth and final book in this amazing series, and this is Liam and Aurora’s story.
Liam is a single dad to his daughter, and is recently widowed, and Aurora is his wife’s best friend, and she was there to help during his wife’s illness. After Hope passes away, Liam hurts Aurora by cruelly pushing her away, which he regrets, but will she accept his apologies, or is it too late?
This is a well written emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, loss, grief, tension, friends / lovers, turmoil, secrets, dual POV’s, healing, revelations, undeniable chemistry, forgiveness, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and tragic, small-town romance, which tugs at the heartstrings throughout.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This Heart will take you on a journey of love, healing, grief and so much more. Aurora and Liam have to navigate the feeling they both have had and aren’t will to admit to one another. There will be highs and lows. Some obstacles they both must face. Through it all their friendship is strong. The group of friendship they all have formed with the others helps them see what’s right in front of them. Once their friendship turns into something more meaningful. You’ll see their chemistry is off the charts. You can’t help but not root for them. And then add an adorable little girl Winnie. All the adventures they will go through was so beautiful to see. Such an incredible ending to such a wonderful series.

Arc was provided for honest review.

The conclusion to the Moose Village series is a little bitter sweet. I have been lucky to receive an ARC for all 4 books in the series and I loved every second of it. The author concludes the series with Liam and Aurora (and Winnie! 😊) and truthfully, the foreshadowing throughout the series didn’t get me too excited for Liam’s story- we get little snippet’s of Liam’s background throughout the previous books but did we really know what was going on?
I was all in, as i usually am with all Kelly Elliott’s novels. This is an emotional, slow burn story that brought to the forefront how important true friendships are, enduring love and found family. An excellent end to our little town!

It also doesn’t hurt that the setting is a book store!!! ❤️

5 Star Review This Heart (Moose Village #4) by Kelly Elliott

Book four and the final book in the Moose Village series is Liam and Aurora’s story.

I love my visits to Moose Village and am sad to see the series end.
This Heart was an emotional, entertaining and well written book that ticked all the boxes for me.

I really felt for Liam, his daughter Winnie and Aurora as they all struggled to help Liam’s ex Hope.

Full of emotions, banter, quirky characters and romance. This love story has characters who you cannot help but become invested in.

Man, I wanted to tell Liam that he still shouldn't be listening to his deceased wife. She asked too much from him. It definitely wasn't right.

Liam and Aurora have to wade through old misconceptions, feelings never shared, hurtful words that never should have been uttered.

Absolutely fell in love with Winnie, laughed with no filter granny and cried with others. A very emotional read that I just loved to pieces.

Wow! What a wonderful story for Moose Village, telling of a journey of unexpected drama when finding out one's secrets, then an unfortunate event takes and turns their world upside down. Throughout this story shows supporting of family, friends and the length some will and can go to leave lasting hurt in your life. This is a beautiful story about finding the strength to forgive yourself, open your heart and trust to make the right decisions.

Another Kelly Elliot series complete another small town leaving a hole in my heart.

all things about the situation between our MMC and FMC are heart wrenching and infuriating.

he's a widower with a young daughter. she was their friend and support system until he pushed her away.

I was worried about the dead wife trope of it all and I didnt want her to be reduced to a deceased villain.

there were small elements of that but overall this was beautifully layered story that unravelled secrets and feelings of betrayal, grief and trust.

Kelly Elliott has once again delivered an incredible small-town enemies to friends to lovers love story. I absolutely loved This Heart by Kelly Elliott, the fourth and final book in her Moose Village series! This Heart filled me with a rollercoaster of emotions; it was such an emotional book, especially since it is the final book in the series. I was hooked from the first page, and it was impossible to put it down. I loved every moment on every page of this page turner. It is my FAVORITE book that I have read recently. Kelly Elliott continues to deliver incredibly written love stories that I LOVE to read, and she continues to be a must-read author for me. I love this enemies to friends to lovers love story, the Moose Village setting, and the amazing characters, they feel like family! This Heart is a love story between Aurora Banks, owner of The Book Nook and Liam Turner, owner of The Muddled Moose and single father of two-year-old daughter, Winnie. Aurora and Liam spent a lot of time together while Aurora helped with Winnie, while Liam’s late wife, Hope was receiving treatment for breast cancer. In a bittersweet moment following Hope’s death, Liam accuses Aurora of wanting to take Hope’s place. Aurora was deeply saddened and hurt by Liam’s remark and kept her distance from Liam and Winnie. Hope’s sister, Mary has helped Liam out following Hope’s death, but needs to return to her job in New York City. The promises that Liam made to Hope prior to her passing have been weighing heavily on him. Liam realizes how he hurt Aurora. Aurora and Harper volunteer to help Liam interview nannies for Winnie. Liam hires his former girlfriend, Kim Thompson. Aurora and the other women also volunteer to help with Winnie on the weekends. As Aurora and Liam spend time together, their friendship redevelops and quickly turns into something more. Conversation between Liam and Aurora flows so easily, I love the chemistry between them and the easy banter and flirting, and everything that they do together. I love the heart-to-heart conversation that take place in This Heart, especially all the secrets involving Hope that Liam reveals to Aurora. Plot twists involving Kim jeopardizes Aurora’s relationship with Liam and Winnie, and how Kim has been treating Winnie snd the lies she has told are revealed. I love how Liam resolves the plot twist. I love all the little things that Liam does for Aurora, especially when Liam reveals the surprise regarding the Miller Mansion and making Aurora’s dream come true, especially regarding the library. I love Aurora’s relationship with Winnie, and everything that Aurora does with and for Winnie. Kelly Elliott definitely does not disappoint her readers with all the feels in This Heart and has once again delivered an amazing story filled with everything that I have come to love about and expect from her books. Who does not love hot sexy men, strong, passionate females, big loving families, and caring friends, who always support each other? I love how Kelly develops her characters in such a way that you fall in love with them and care about them much like a good friend and how she always manages to create the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong, sassy woman on her own, to balance out the sexy, swoon worthy man. Kelly Elliott continues to deliver all that and so much more. I love the storyline of This Heart, the romance, and the family dynamics, it was such an enjoyable book to read. I love all the Perry the Moose emojis throughout the story. I am not sure how she continues writing my favorite books to read. I love that Kelly chooses dialogue that stays true to her characters. This Heart is filled with all the heartbreaking and heartwarming moments, plot twists, and surprises that I have come to love and expect in a Kelly Elliott love story. Kelly Elliott continues to prove that she is an incredible storyteller. I love that she writes her stories in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting inside their minds and knowing their thoughts and how they really feel. I love the ending of Aurora and Liam’s love story, their Friendsgiving celebration, Liam’s proposal, the location of the proposal, and Winnie’s reaction. My favorite part of This Heart is the epilogue that takes places ten years after the end of the story and all the surprises that it reveals and about all the characters in the series. It perfectly wraps up their love story and is a wonderful farewell to the series. This Heart was an amazing enemies to friends to lovers love story; I am so glad that Aurora and Liam got their happily ever after. I love all the characters in this series, but it was bittersweet saying goodbye to Cadie, Kian, Harper, Declan, Brystol, and Gavin. I love that Mary returns to Moose Village and gets her own happily ever after with James. I enjoy all the interactions among all the characters; it feels like real family love and makes me laugh at their teasing. I love the descriptions of Moose Village. I love everything about the Moose Village website that Kelly Elliott created for this series. Who does not love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I loved every moment of This Heart. I l especially love the Wilde Cowboy sneak peek that is included at the end of This Heart. Highly recommend this beautifully written love story. Received an advanced copy from the author.

This Heart was such a great read, a perfect Hallmark book with a little touch of spice. If you love a good single dad, friends to lovers’ book then this is the perfect book for you! This is the story of Liam and Aurora and how they found each other again as they navigate through grief and healing. Liam, who is a single dad to an adorable two-year-old Winnie, is struggling with guilt and grief since the passing of his wife. He is navigating running a business, being a full-time dad and figuring out how to deal with feelings he has for his friend Aurora who has been his rock since his wife Hope had gotten sick.

Aurora who owns the local bookstore in Moose Village is a totally sweetheart with such a big heart. She was there for her friend Hope, helping her and Liam with Winnie and making sure that she was there for everyone. No matter what happened or her feelings in the situation, she still stuck by her friends no matter what and that is what made her such a great character. She put her friends before her own feelings, and I loved her as the FMC.

On everything between Hope and Liam….it made me really want to jump into the book and slap Hope! The unreasonable promises she had Liam make before she passed were downright wrong and she knew it! She knew he was such a great dad and a great husband who stood by her side through thick and thin. She knew that no matter how unreasonable her promise or request would be, that Liam would honor it because that is the type of person he is. She took advantage of him and his kindness.

LOVE how innocent Liam and Aurora were and how everyone in this little town of Moose Village knew they had feelings for each other and how they were all secretly rooting for them! The banter between Aurora and her friends were amazing, her sister is funny as hell and I wish had a Granny like Aurora’s, she was just as funny as the rest of the gang. LOVED how Liam and Aurora discovered each other, it was very cute and I loved every minute of it! This was an emotional roller coaster ride with twists and turns and a happy ending, and I was so along for the ride. I truly enjoyed this book, if This Heart is not on your TBR list it needs to be, I promise you will not be disappoint. Thank you Grey’s Promotions and author Kelly Elliott for this opportunity to read this eARC. This Heart releasing on Tuesday November 11th

The final book in the Moose lodge Series and This Heart was my favorite, and that’s saying a lot as the others were so good as well. Kelly Elliott writes beautiful heartfelt stories that happen to people every day. She addresses issues with characters and truly explains how one deals with the issues they may have.

I loved this story, the story line will make you mad, cry and laugh. This is Liam and Aurora’s story. Liam has a daughter, Winnie who he worships, will do everything to protect her and make her happy. Her mother Hope passed away from cancer, and what this woman made Liam agree to take care of Willow after her death was so inconsiderate and will make you scream and so mad. You will learn to understand it but I’m still not over it!

Aurora owns the Book Nook and when her friend Hope was dying, she helped out a lot at the house with Willow and Liam. Willow was so caring and loving and wasn’t looking for anything or anyone, but to help take care of her friends. Well, when Hope died, Liam said some mean things to Aurora that he truly didn’t mean, but it was his deceased wife’s words. Aurora wants to be me, (Hope) Not the case.

These two have a lot to get through, a lot of miscommunications, obligations that Liam believes he has to follow from his deceased wife, so wrong. You need to read this book. I just want to yell at her, but I can’t.

Here are 2 of my favorite lines from the book:

Granny walked up and scratched the kitten behind the ears. “That’s because you need a man. Maybe if you dated and got laid, you wouldn’t need a kitten because your own kitten would be getting some action.” My mouth fell open while my sister lost it laughing. “Tell it like it is, Granny!” Lou said, barely able to breathe through her tears.

“I would be honored if you would agree to becoming my wife and my best friend for life.” Winnie reached up and wiped the tears from my cheeks with her tiny hands that were covered with mittens. “Will you be my mommy?” Her question made me cry harder. Liam stood. “Will you marry me Aurora?” I nodded. “Yes, of course I will marry you.” Winnie let out a squeal of delight and it was only then that I heard other people cheering. I looked around to see our friends and family all standing there.

THE ROMANTIC BOSNIAN BLOG REVIEW
*ARC review* *4.5 Stars*

I am not new to this author I have read all of her books and all the previous books in this series. This is the last book of the series and boy did she sent us off. Prepare to have tissue and be open hearted.

Firstly, what a emotional rollercoaster ride this was! We get to see a little bit of their lives in the previous book[s] and I don't think I was properly prepared for this one. Aurora Banks is a brilliant, gorgeous and sweet human who owns the local library. SHE HOSTS KIDS READING NIGHT she really is the sweetest. Liam Turner is a broken man, a man who I don't know how to put it without giving away too much but basically when his wife Hope was going through Cancer he never left her side. No matter what transplanted between them, and boy did it. After her passing, Liam really was lost, but he didn't have a choice because his two year old daughter needed him and he needed to get a grip on his life. Wish I could say he does it pretty quick but he does not. These two were friends and after that night when Liam broke Aurora's heart with a few simple words, their friendship became non existent. While I am a fan of Liam I am I promise, I really just wanted to smack him upside the head x10 because of Kim [you'll see]. I think my feelings on this book were mixed. While I understood things that not triggered me but I disliked it most definitely kept me from fully loving this until about 55% I think I was missing that chemistry between MMC & MFC that I was hoping for, I guess anticipating. The connection between Winnie and Aurora was just so beautiful. The story was truly heartbreaking, there was so much between Liam and Hope, then we have the tragedy, the nanny, the realization...all in all I liked what transpired and when these two finally realized their feelings for one another, boy was it just so beautiful. A heartbreakingly beautiful HEA!

You get a glimpse of the new series coming in January and I NEED IT like today!

WOW Kelly sure took us on one heck of a ride with the last book in this series! Liam & Aurora's story is a slow burn because they have a lot to get through before they can have their beautiful ending! But once you start this book you won't want to stop reading it. There is so much going on that you are instantly drawn in and you will have the ride of your life!

Liam's wife Hope is who everyone thought she was and before her cancer diagnosis he had planned to divorce her but he couldn't do that while she was sick. Plus they have a little girl named Winnie to worry about as well so he does the right thing and stand by her. But this woman will have you fuming so many times!! After she passes away he needs to find a nanny to help take care of Winnie. OH GOODNESS!!! The one he chooses is another interesting story inside that will have you devouring this book! All the while Liam secretly has a thing for Aurora but he needs to ask for forgiveness for something he said to her.

Aurora is such an AMAZING character! I adored her and the LOVE she had for Winnie! She was there to help Hope, Liam and Winnie during their hard times and when Hope passed Liam said something hurtful that left her walking away. Once she forgives him these two will rekindle their friendship but they have some interesting situations come up that they have to overcome together. Plus she has to finally admit to herself she might actually have romantic feelings for Liam.

Winnie is Hope and Liam's daughter and she was the sweetest little girl ever! I fell in LOVE with this characters so easily. She had a heart of gold and she just loved her dad and Rora! She is the glue that holds so many people together!

This book starts out with a tragic story but will blossom into a beautiful story! I had moments I got mad, wanted to scream, but then I'd laugh, smile like a fool, swoon like no tomorrow and then Kelly left me with the most BEAUTIFUL ending!! Through all the ups and downs on this rollercoaster ride she will bring you such joy and your heart will melt! I HIGHLY recommend this book and this series!

Thank you Kelly Elliott for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest opinion.

𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭
LIVE November 11th
By Kelly Elliott
Book 4 in the Moose Village series

First, a note from author Kelly Elliot. I agree. Start with book one. You’ll love them all.

𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝒾𝓈 𝒷𝑜𝑜𝓀 𝒻𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝒾𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝑀𝑜𝑜𝓈𝑒 𝒱𝒾𝓁𝓁𝒶𝑔𝑒 𝓈𝑒𝓇𝒾𝑒𝓈. 𝒲𝒽𝒾𝓁𝑒 𝒾𝓉 𝒸𝒶𝓃 𝒷𝑒 𝓇𝑒𝒶𝒹 𝒶𝓈 𝒶 𝓈𝓉𝒶𝓃𝒹-𝒶𝓁𝑜𝓃𝑒, 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝒶 𝒷𝑒𝓉𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝓇𝑒𝒶𝒹𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝑒𝓍𝓅𝑒𝓇𝒾𝑒𝓃𝒸𝑒, 𝐼 𝓈𝓊𝑔𝑔𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝓇𝑒𝒶𝒹 𝓉𝑒 𝒷𝑜𝑜𝓀𝓈 𝒾𝓃 𝑜𝓇𝒹𝑒𝓇. 𝐵𝑜𝑜𝓀 𝑜𝓃𝑒, 𝒯𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝑀𝑜𝓂𝑒𝓃𝓉, 𝒾𝓈 𝒞𝒶𝒹𝒾𝑒 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝒦𝒾𝒶𝓃’𝓈 𝓈𝓉𝑜𝓇𝓎, 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝒾𝒻 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝓁𝑜𝓋𝑒 𝓇𝑜𝓂𝒶𝓃𝓉𝒾𝒸 𝓈𝓊𝓈𝓅𝑒𝓃𝓈𝑒, 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓁𝓁𝓎 𝒹𝑜𝓃’𝓉 𝓌𝒶𝓃𝓉 𝓉𝑜 𝓂𝒾𝓈𝓈 𝓉𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝑜𝓃𝑒!

Liam and Aurora’s history is. . . really complicated. She was his late wife’s best friend. Aurora was there for them both and their daughter, Winnie. No one knows Liam’s true story. The truth about his marriage. The secrets. His feelings for Aurora. Her feelings for him. Reading the previous books in this series, we readers didn’t know the whole story. Until now. Until this beautiful, emotional book that will grab you by the heart . . . and never let go.

𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 is a story of friends to lovers, guilt over grief, and a small town where friends always have your back. Aurora is owner of The Book Nook in Moose Village and has her sister, Lou and great aunt they call “granny”, right by her side. She’s grieving the loss of her friend Hope and now the loss of her friendship with Hope’s husband, Liam. He’s pushed her away and she misses him and little Winnie terribly. But Aurora always has her girl gang by her side, Brystol, Harper, and Cadie, and these are fierce besties for sure (learn more about their own journeys to their HEAs in the first 3 books of this series.). They provide all the food fun including pizzas from Slice, Slice, Baby, and desserts from Batter Up Bakery. Gotta love these Moose Village places, right?

Liam is drowning in guilt. No one really knows that he and Hope were definitely not a happily married couple. Worse, he can’t stop thinking about Aurora and how badly he treated her when he pushed her away.

Kim, the old girlfriend who was hired to be the nanny, enters the scene and watch out because Aurora and her besties see right thru this vile woman and Liam gets a valuable lesson. These small town inhabitants of Moose Village stand by their friends (and of course gossip about EVERYTHING.) Liam and Aurora get advice and support in helping to recognize their feelings for each other and finally moving forward and it’s all both amusing at times and is certainly captivating storytelling.

When Aurora gets her “home of her dreams” there won’t be a dry eye. Liam delivers as only a guy who’s been waiting years for his HEA can. And finally, the epilogue is absolutely gorgeous, a perfect way to end this series.

Wow! This couple is my favourite of this series 😩🫦 What a journey and what a love story 😍❤️ The absolute yearning, love and chemistry 😩 that slow burn 😈 Kelly Elliot, you did it again! Thank you so much for this ARC ❤️

Liam Turner 🧎‍♀️ This man drove me insane from the first chapter 🫦 Owner of The Muddled Moose, handsome af, tall, rich, talented, gentleman, widower, hurting, hiding a secret, patient, kinky, yearns, protective, obsessed, sunshine for her, loves to grovel, brilliant father to little Winnie, adores his friends and tries to stay away from the woman who owns him completely 🫦😏 Liam is trying to fight his attraction for Aurora that only gets deeper with time 🤭 Every time he sees her, he's enamored and thinks he's being discreet 😂 Oh Liam, I have news for you baby! He will do anything for her and that shows in every page and chapter. She is a huge part of his heart and life and always makes sure she knows it. And his scenes with the cutest baby, Winnie 😩 I could not stop falling insanely in love with him!

Aurora Banks 😍 She had me giggling, snorting and blushing!! Talented, successful, owner of The Book Nook, sunshine, protective, beautiful, yearns, feisty, possessive, patient, kinky, adores little Winnie, shy, hurt, loves to see Liam grovel, can't get enough of their time together, adores their friends and her family, denys her feelings for Liam 😈 and loves them both so much 🥹 Aurora only wanted to be there for her best friends but when things were said that he didn't mean, she left. Her bond with Liam is so pure and angsty that I couldn't help giggling and having starry eyes everytime she looked at him or denied her love! And her bond with Winnie 🥹 I wanted to cry because they have such a strong bond! She loves them so much and they know it!

The writing, storyline and characters are absolutely amazing 🥹 The spice when it hit 🫦 Had me fanning myself and smirking, Kelly! This storyline was so unique and I'm immensely happy and grateful that they got their hea. And that epilogue 🥹🥹 Literally sobbed! What a book, Kelly 🧎‍♀️🥹

THIS HEART is the fourth and final instalment in Kelly Elliott’s contemporary, adult MOOSE VILLAGE erotic, romance series. This is bar owner and single father Liam Turner, and book store owner Aurora Banks’ story line. THIS HEART can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Liam and Aurora) THIS HEART follows several months after the death of Liam’s wife Hope, and the destruction of a friendship in the wake of secrets and lies. Several months earlier, Liam’s wife Hope succumbed to cancer, leaving behind her two year old daughter, and a husband struggling to move on with his life but the fall-out of his friendship with Aurora Banks sat the heaviest upon on the heart of our story line hero. As Hope’s illness progressed, Liam was struggling with his attraction to Aurora Banks, and in the end pushed away the woman with whom he would fall in love. Desperate for childcare, Liam asks Aurora to help with finding a nanny, and the spiral of his decision will weight heavily on everyone involved.

The world building focuses one woman’s secrets; the lies buried with the dead, and a betrayal by another determined to take control.

The relationship between Aurora and Liam was best friends to enemies, to friends to lovers, a relationship destroyed by jealousy and illness. Liam has lusted after our story line heroine for as long as he can remember but life was about to spiral, and secrets from the past would threaten any hope for a future. The $ex scenes are seductive and passionate without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters are familiar, energetic and engaging. We are reintroduced to all of the previous story lines couples, as well as Liam’s daughter Winnie, and nanny Kim Thompson.

THIS HEART is a story of secrets and lies, loss and guilt, family and relationships, forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is captivating and emotional; the romance is seductive; the characters are determined and dynamic.

Kelly has done it once again by giving us yet another amazing book in the Moose Village series. I am truly grateful to have read it early so that I could give my honest opinion.

If I’m being completely honest, This Heart has got to be my favorite in the series. I love how the storyline and overall plot came together throughout, and I also fell in love with Aurora and Liam from the moment they were introduced to us! I felt the story flowed smoothly, and I think the pairing of these two main characters was perfect.

The emotional rollercoaster this book had me going through was crazy, but of course, it was so worth it in the end! I rooted for Liam and Aurora from the beginning, and the romantic suspense was definitely worth waiting for.

Liam really had been through so much, which we saw throughout the series, and when we finally got to his book and got an actual glimpse into what all he went through, I was heartbroken at moments because he is genuinely so sweet and such a great MMC that it hurt that he had to go through some of these trials. It was worth waiting for the final book to see him finally get that happy ending with the woman he truly loves, which is what he deserved all along.

Aurora was a total sweetheart, and I loved and enjoyed reading about her as our fmc. I fell in love with her personality and just overall her character because of the history that went down between her, Liam, and his wife, Hope. No matter what happened or her feelings, she still stuck by her friends and did whatever she could to help out and just be there for everyone. In the end, she for sure deserved to finally get to love the man she’s wanted for quite some time.

Kelly, you sure know how to bring us something we both love and enjoy, and I was sad yet happy when I got to the epilogue because it meant that this series was over. I am grateful that I got to come along and read each of these characters’ stories in which they received their happy endings.

This heart beats for second chances ♥️

4.5 ⭐ | 3.25 🌶️

Kelly Elliott has done it again. This Heart is everything I wanted and more from the final chapter of the Moose Village series. It’s tender, emotional, heart-wrenching, and deliciously romantic, a story that takes broken pieces and rebuilds them into something breathtakingly whole.

We meet Liam, a man who’s walked through fire and come out scarred but strong: a devoted single dad still shadowed by the heartbreak of losing his wife. Enter Aurora, his late wife’s best friend, and the kind of woman whose love feels like light after a long, cold winter. Their chemistry? Off the charts. The kind that makes your chest ache and your pulse race.

Elliott has this gift: she doesn’t just write romance, she writes redemption. She writes guilt, grief, longing, and the kind of slow-burn intimacy that feels both forbidden and inevitable. Liam and Aurora’s connection unfolds with aching vulnerability, every glance and touch laced with unspoken emotion. It’s the perfect mix of tenderness and tension, healing and heat.

Without giving anything away (because you need to experience every twist and turn yourself), This Heart is about second chances, not just at love, but at life. It’s about the courage to open your heart again when it’s been shattered, and the beauty of finding someone who sees all your cracks and calls them art.

Between the heartbreak, the healing, the stolen kisses, and the moments that will have you clutching your chest and whispering “just kiss already,” this book delivers everything romance readers crave.

A chef’s kiss of a finale: raw, hopeful, and utterly consuming.

Thank you to Grey’s Promotions for the e-ARC, and huge congratulations to Kelly Elliott for closing the Moose Village series with such grace, fire, and heart.

💖 If you’re looking for a romance that feels like coming home (with just the right amount of spice), This Heart will steal yours.

5 Is It Okay to Love Stars?

I’ve connected with every character in Kelly Elliott’s books on different levels. In this book, the emotions I felt were truly visceral. I’ve recently experienced in my personal life a situation similar to what Hope and Liam went through at the beginning of this book and the amount of tears I cried were enough to fill a small bucket. This story is beautifully written and really reveals everything that happens when someone you thought you loved is taken away too soon and so painfully. The heart of this book is about finding love again and getting over any guilt of opening your heart.

Liam and Aurora have a journey filled with discovery, emotional moments mixed with moments where they just let go and give in to the chemistry they’ve both tried to ignore. But the heart knows what the heart wants. I loved every minute of their story. I understood where Liam was coming from and his wanting to protect Winnie his beautiful little girl, as well as his own heart. Aurora is the perfect woman for Liam and Winnie. She’s so thoughtful, loves hard and is willing to give her heart to the right man and his name is Liam.

I totally wanted to hit Liam upside the head a few times, but he totally redeemed himself and the fact that Aurora forgave him is a testament to who she is to her core. Her connection with Winnie is truly beautiful. This little girl wiggles her way into everyone’s hearts in Moose Village… it truly does take a village to raise a child and this Village delivers big. Along with all the emotional moments there are some laugh out loud moments and oh the way Liam made me swoon!

While I’m sad this is the last book in this series, I know I’ll definitely be visiting Moose Village again in the near future thanks to a re-read of the entire series now that it’s complete.

I'm not sure how Kelly writes a series where each book gets better than the last, but this final installment of Moose Village, just might be the best. While the lack of communication between Liam and Aurora was frustrating at times, i could understand why they didn't want to rock the boat. They had a very bumpy road at times, but with help from friends and family, they just might find their way to happiness.

Liam was living under a mountain of guilt. Not only did he ask his wife for a divorce (his reason was heartbreaking), but he then found out she was dying of cancer. He stuck by her while she fought, but everyone in town believed they had a perfect loving family. Behind closed doors, she was getting mean and demanding a lot from Liam. He agreed to things he shouldn't have because he felt guilty for not loving her.

Aurora was a friend to both Liam and his wife and she helped take care of their daughter Winnie. Liam said some things in anger and they drift apart after his wife dies. When they finally start talking again, Liam apologizes for what he said and they pick up the friendship. As feelings deepen, neither wants to admit it to the other for fear of rejection. When he hires a nanny, who also happens to be his ex, things start happening and being said that starts to drive a wedge between them again.

Winnie is adorable and brings light into both of thier lives. I stayed up way to late to read this book, but it was worth it. I can't wait to see what Kelly comes up with next, unfortunately, it won't be in Moose Village. I received an ARC and this is my honest, voluntary review.

ARC - 5 🌟 2 🌶️

❤️ Friends to lovers
🤍 Widowed single dad
❤️ Brother’s bestfriend
🤍 Small town
❤️ He falls first

This Heart by Kelly Elliott absolutely did it for me and what a perfect way to end this series. Like, I closed the book, stared at the wall, and just whispered, “yeah… okay that’s the stuff.”

Aurora and Liam? I’m obsessed. Their chemistry? Over the top. Their emotional growth? My heart melted like it was left out in the Texas sun. And don’t even get me started on Winnie because that little girl owns me now. Fully. I’d die for her.

And listen… if you already disliked Hope before, this book is just going to strengthen that opinion like concrete. I don’t care what she went through (okay not totally but you get it) Liam did not deserve even a fraction of what she put him through. My man was out here trying his absolute best, carrying the weight of the world and parenting sweet baby Winnie, and still getting dragged. You can’t be mad at Liam. You just can’t. But you know who you CAN be mad at? That *** nanny. And I swear I won’t even get started on her because I will get heated and start typing in all caps.

But the real magic of this book? Aurora. The way she stepped into Winnie’s life, carefully, respectfully, lovingly, was everything. She didn’t try to replace Hope, she didn’t overstep, she didn’t force anything. She became this soft, feminine, safe mother figure to the sweetest little girl… a bonus mom in the truest sense. And that bond between Aurora and Winnie? PURE. WHOLESOME. GOLD. I cried like three times.

Aurora healed parts of Liam that he’d convinced himself were permanent scars, and Liam gave Aurora this soft, steady love she didn’t even know she was craving. Together, they created this warm, bright, family-centered love story that tied the entire series into a beautiful bow.

Honestly? Perfect ending. Perfect growth. Perfect found-family vibes. Kelly Elliott knew exactly what she was doing, and she did it flawlessly.

Thank you so much Grey’s Promo for this arc opportunity!

This Heart was so heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time and it was such an epic way to finish the Moose Village series. And oh , my Aurora and Liam's story was so good. I never expected that plot twist at the beginning that turned the whole story upside down. This Heart started with heartbreak and grief and guilt and ended up on a happily ever after. Aurora was a true friend with kind and loving heart looking out for a struggling friend when accused of having ulterior motives so she's stepped out. Liam is fighting with guilt after Hope passed away. But between them was so much hurt and Hope's lies broke then long before they came to Moose Village. I was mad at Hope and hurt for Aurora and struggling with Liam over everything he went through. This Heart is so emotional and I didn't know what to do with myself over all those feelings. And no ,this is not just a book. It's a very good book if it made me feel this way . And Winnie was the cutest girl ever. And don't get me wrong after the nanny fiasco I expected something to get really wrong but thank god this is not that kind of story. When finally Liam and Aurora cleared all the misunderstandings between them they fast became a couple and I loved it how Winnie was part of their story. And the surprise that Liam had for Aurora was chef's kiss. And it unlocked a new couples goals - give her a library. Major swoon. And that epilogue was so sweet with that sneak peak in the future and I loved it big time.

Thanks to the author and Grey's Promotions for the opportunity to read and review an early copy of this book.

This emotional book really tugs hard on the heartstrings. Liam, a recent widower, who is mired in guilt and not the grief everyone is expecting him to feel. He and his late wife were on the brink of divorce when she discovered her cancer. His conscience would not let him leave her to face her illness alone. Friends and family rallied around them during her treatment, especially Aurora, who was a friend to both of them. His guilt is due to his relief that his wife is gone and his feelings for Aurora they go much deeper than friendship. That guilt and his late wife’s last wishes caused him to push Aurora away using nasty words that hurt her. Months later, he approaches Aurora to apologize. She readily accepts his apology and they agree to resume their friendship, though truthfully Liam is not alone in having feelings that go deeper than friendship.

Those nasty words he used to push Aurora away come back to haunt him when they are resurrected by his new nanny who used to be his girlfriend. She has her own agenda now that Liam is free and she is doing her best to push Aurora away so that she can have Liam to herself. The fact that Aurora is once again hurt because of his actions, disturbs and pains Liam. Now, she is the one keeping him at a distance, and Liam wonders if even friendship is impossible now. Thankfully, both he and Aurora have good friends on their side who urge them to finally acknowledge their feelings for each other.

This sweet, emotional and fascinating book was enjoyable to read. I am happy to recommend it.

Aurora is my type of person. She owns her own bookstore and has a friend circle that is just the best.

She is kind and loving and would do anything for her friends. She was there for her friend Liam when his wife got sick and passed away, looking after his daughter and becoming attached to both of them….

Liam is a widower, and a single dad to an adorable little girl named Winnie. His wife passed away and now his just trying to find his feet. Aurora has been there for him and his daughter since his wife’s illness. But then he messed it up one night when he got drunk said some things and she left. But the real reason he picked a fight was to hide his feelings for her. And also trying to live with the guilt of having feelings for someone else…

The story was sweet and deals with moving on after a loved one passes away. And if I have to say so, I was not a fan of Liam’s wife. Sad that she died, but I don’t think she was a nice person. Liam had so much to deal with, finding out secrets and taking care of his business and his daughter. I loved that Aurora was there for both of them, but she didn’t force her way into their lives. She was just there when they needed her.

Everyone around them could see they had feelings for each other, besides them. So, I loved when they finally got together 😊 They definitely had amazing chemistry, and they fit so well together❤❤

Winnie was just too adorable for words, and I loved her and Aurora’s interaction. As well as the rest of the friend group totally made for a good read 😊

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This Heart is an emotional, heart-wrenching conclusion to the Moose Village Series that will stay with you long after the last page. Liam and Aurora’s story is raw, real, and beautifully written, exploring love, loss, guilt, and the power of second chances.

The way Liam navigates his grief, responsibility, and growing feelings for Aurora is incredibly compelling. The portrayal of Hope’s illness is handled with sensitivity and depth, adding a layer of poignancy to the story that makes every decision the characters face feel heavy with consequence. Aurora is the perfect counterbalance—strong, compassionate, and relatable—making her journey alongside Liam both inspiring and heartbreaking.

What I love most is the emotional depth and authenticity in the characters’ relationships. The tension, the guilt, and the slow-building romance all feel genuine, and the moments of connection between Liam, Aurora, and Winnie are tender and unforgettable. The author masterfully weaves themes of love, grief, and healing into a story that is both heartbreaking and hopeful.

As the final book in the series, This Heart delivers closure while keeping the essence of Moose Village alive. For anyone who has followed this series, this book is a must-read, and even for new readers, it is a moving, standalone story of love, loss, and new beginnings.

I have been a fan of this author for years, and once again, she has proven why her work is so compelling. This series is a gem, and This Heart is a perfect, emotional ending that I will treasure.
