After coming off a horrible read, I didn’t know what to read next. I spent the longest time going through my kindle, looking at what was on it, looking up those books, hoping something would jump out at me. Nothing did…until this.

I’ve had this on my kindle for a while. But kept putting it off. I deeply regret that now. I devoured this in one sitting. I absolutely loved it. It was just what I needed, so it’s probably a good thing I put it off until now.

The book is told entirely from Dex’s POV. That was interesting and unique. You don’t often find a book solely from the guy’s POV. I think it worked here. Granted, I wish I’d been able to see into Briar’s head a few times, but Dex’s story was so interesting that I’m not ticked that I didn’t see into her head.

As the blurb indicates, Dex is a manwhore. He had a well honed system of leaving his card with a rating on the back. It was an interesting system to say the least. Yes, the ratings were not cool under any circumstances but he did have a system that provided a story. When a story was written about him, things were revealed and his calling card system was revealed, people are canceling contracts with him left and right and vilifying him in the press. Dex did make a good point during this…at no time did he ever mess with a model or business contact. The women he had one-night-stands with were random women he met in bars. He never jeopardized his career, contacts or contracts. But I loved his friendship with Briar and her daughter. He was so sweet with them and right where he belonged. I have to say that his family story was just heartbreaking. When he found something his father left him, I started crying. It was so sweet and sad.

As I was looking this up on to see what it’s about, I realized that this will be my first book by Ashley Suzanne and I’m shocked by that. I know I’ve got many of her books on my TBR list, some on my kindle and at least one on my book shelf (I met her, she’s awesome!) so I was extremely surprised that I hadn’t actually read one of her books before. I really enjoyed that so I’ll definitely be picking up more from her in the future.

This man hardly does repeats especially if you don't rank to his liking. So the odds are in your favor if you can get a calling card with a ranking of 5 or higher. Well when the media gets hold of Dexter's infamous calling cards, all hell breaks loose. What is a famous photographer to do? Well he goes back and hides out with his best friend, Briar and her daughter. Briar and Dex had a romantic relationship in the past and were able to maintain a great relationship. So when old feelings begins to reemerge, will Dex put his calling cards away for good? And what number will Briar get?

Calling Card by Ashley Suzanne was a quick fun read. It had moments where I went OMG..what an ass Dex is. Let's face it no girl wants to wake up to a calling card with a ranking number. But as the story develops, readers finally got to see Dex mature and leave his old habits behind. So if you are looking for a book that was funny and sweet then go give Calling Card a try.

What can I say? Ashley Suzanne is a mast mind! This book is different than her others, you kind of HATE Dex when you first meet him, and then slowly but surely fall in love with him.

So Dex is kind of a db... he takes women to their houses, has his way with them, and then leaves a "Calling Card" when he leaves with a number on the back, to rate them. Everything is good and great and no one really knows who he is, until a lovely article is releases exposing him as the man whore he is.

When he needs to get away he goes to his best friend Briar's place to hang low and let the story pass. And I loved Briar the first time I read her. She doesn't put up with Dex's crap and is an all around good person.

When Dex is back on location shooting models, Briar shows up and throws Dex for a loop, and then leaves, which causes Dex to kind of go into a tailspin. I loved this part, seeing him vulnerable and not knowing what to do.

This story is AMAZING and one of Ashley's best works to date. Her writing continues to get even better and I love her stories. If you're looking for the type of guy that is hard to like at first and then you fall in love with, Dex is your guy.

This is a shorter read and I read it in one sitting. Loved it and can't wait to see what else Ashley Suzanne has in store for us in the future.

I really, truly, appreciate that this story was a unique read. I love that the author was clever with this outside of the norm kind of storyline. However, it didn't work for me and I'm beyond sad about that. It sounded so awesome and I was really excited to get to this book!

However, I just couldn't buy into the couple being a couple. His sudden feelings for her? Uhhh -huh- right. Especially after what he does when she leaves him in London. Nope- no way- doesn't work for me. That whole trip to his homeland- yeah that didn't work for me either to make him see the light. And her surprise admission at the end? Nope that was not believable to me either. In fact, I was rolling my eyes at the end.

I will say that I did like that this story was all in the guy's point of view. It just didn't work for me and the ending, or how it all wraps up- didn't work for me.

But I know plenty of people who liked this story- so don't take my review to heart. Find out for yourself what you think.

I was lucky enough to win an ARC of Calling Card. Oh holy hell is Ashley Suzanne talented!! Only someone who truly has a way with words can make you love someone you want to hate! Dex, Dexter, @sshole who leaves a calling card with the rank number of the women he one night stands. Is he hot? Sure. Successful? Absolutely. A man with a big enough ego to think he can one night stand a woman, leave a card with a number on the back and no one is never going to figure out this is a lifestyle choice and not some random occurrence. Yep.... that's Dex.

I make it no secret that I think Ashley Suzanne is a phenomenal writer and Calling Card is just another piece of proof of that. Written from Dexter's POV, she does a great job of telling his story. The sex is hot, the feelings deep. A very solid 5 stars for me!

El protagonista es un idiota. Me encantan los personajes desagradables y que no se enamoran, etc. Pero esto era muy exagerado, poco creíble.

Calling Card is from a male POV which I love. Sometimes it's hard to do a male POV and make it sound real, but Ashley was spot on with Mr. Dexter McFadden!! Holy Hotness!

Dexter McFadden- we meet Dex and at first I as thinking who does this man think he is? He sleeps around and leaves a number on the back of a card after each conquest. The number rates his conquest so to speak. So the higher the number the higher up the ladder you are to him in bed. He doesn't do normal romance. He doesn't get attached. It's easier for him that way.

As we learn more about Dex we get what makes him be the way he is with women, and people in general. His parents pass so he goes to live with his grandparents. He experiences a lot of loss in his life so you soon figure out his ways with women are far more then what they seem. He throws himself into his photography and doesn't let anybody into his world except a couple of people. One if them being his best friend Briar. She is his safe place.

Briar- Briar is really the only normal in Dex's life. When an article comes out about Dex, and his calling card ways Briar is there to help him through it. You will love Briar. She's a very like able character. I loved seeing her bring out the man Dex truly is. As events unfold and secrets come out Dex has to admit to himself and the world what he's been feeling all along! He starts feelings things he's never felt before, but will secrets destroy the one relationship that Dex has always counted on to get him through anything? Can he really change his playboy ways or will women always only be just a number to this man? Will he lose his best friend in the process?

If you want steam Ashley brings some serious heat in this book! Get your fan ready and maybe a stiff drink! <<<<<< good lawd!!

Dex will make you mad, laugh and want to punch him in the face at times, but when you see how everything unravels you will love him! He's not your typical BB. He has baggage and a lot of it, but that's what makes you want to know this man. Go grab Calling Card and meet Dexter McFadden!!

I give it 5 Stars!!

En esta oportunidad tenemos como protagonista a Dex, quien construyó desde cero una gran carrera como fotógrafo para grandes campañas de modelaje. Viaja por el mundo, se acuesta con toda mujer que quiera y al finalizar deja una tarjeta con el puntaje que obtuvo la chica luego de la experiencia en su noche salvaje.
Lo único estable en su vida es su amigo y su mejor amiga, Bree.
Me encantó poder leer un libro de romance en donde solamente tenemos el punto de vista masculino y poder ver todo el proceso que hace y cómo se da cuenta que la felicidad estuvo siempre al alcance de su mano.
Es un libro corto y entretenido para pasar un buen rato.

When I read the synopsis for this book I just knew I would love it. An asshole man who has sex with women around the world and when he is done he leaves a card with a answering service and rates them on the back, I needed to read this book and I am so glad I did.

“Thank you erotic romance novels. Men around the world are singing your praises.”

Dex is a bit of a jerk but truth be told he isn’t doing a ton wrong. The women he gets with know the score and are still down for a good time. Still when the world finds out about his dating lifestyle that doesn’t stop them from labeling it a sex scandal. Never mind the fact that he is a professional photographer who has never actually slept with his models. Well almost never, there was the one at the beginning who he cared deeply for but in the end she became his best friend not lover. And when his world blows up on him its her he runs to and hides out with her and her little girl.

“Sex scandal? How the hell is this a sex scandal? I wasn’t trying to hide anything other than my identity to protect the clients I had and my safety. I’m not a politician. I didn’t take an oath promising to keep my dick in my pants.”

I started reading this book because the premise was fun and new. I couldn’t put it down because even though he wasn’t a perfect guy or even the nicest guy I fell in love with Dexter. As much as a master as he was at sex and living the high rolling lifestyle when it came to love and relationships he was so innocent and had no idea what he was doing. I never expected him to be such a sweet guy and I desperately want more! Also, his BFF, former model now single mom Briar was awesome! She knew just how to deal with him and was always there.

“Ladies and gentlemen. No need to worry. All is right in the universe. Dexter MacFadden’s packed away his vagina and reattached his dick. Women of London, watch out, Dex’s on the prowl.”

Calling Card had just the right mix of story, great intriguing characters and good sex to keep me interested and the story flowing. The sex in the story while amazing was not overkill as sometimes in these books it can be but was definitely HOT and mixed in with just enough humor to keep me blushing and laughing the whole way through.

“‘It’s cute.’ And there goes my ego. My dick isn’t cute; it’s a beast . . . a monster . . . a weapon of mass destruction . . . not fucking cute.”

This was my first foray into Ashley Suzanne novels and all I can say is I will definitely be looking for more to buy and read!

So let me start off by saying that once I started reading this book I couldn’t stop. I even walked into my bookshelf while trying to read and walk at the same time. What can I say cat lady was cracking me up!

Oh Dex, you are certainly a man whore and a BAD boy, but I loved it. Can you imagine waking up after a one night stand and all you find is a card with a number on it? This is Dex’s life. He doesn’t believe in love. The things he experienced at a young age is something no child should have to endure and it’s what led him to live the life he does.

After a reporter tries to destroy his image and expose him for the playboy he is he turns to the only person he knows he can trust. Briar. The only girl he ever tried to have a relationship with and his only female friend. I loved her and her daughter. I thought they were the balm his soul needed when things got rough.

Of course you know how things go. Shit happens. Someone runs. Someone realizes they were wrong. And karma comes back to bite you in the ass.

Then everything is brought to light and what Dex thought he knew and who is thought he is was all wrong. But is it too late to right the wrongs he’s done in his life?

Ashley did a wonderful job with this book and I really hope there is more to come!

Dexter MacFadden, playboy photographer who leaves calling cards with rankings after his romp in the sheets with the girl for the night (or city).

It may not seem like much but underneath that hardass and very much arrogant exterior, lies a guy who completely took my heart away (after a few trips of course. He had to make me curse and swear at him and then....you figure it out. *winks*).

Dex has a sense of humour as shown here: Thank you erotic romance novels. Men around the world are singing your praises.

He had to go low when his infamous calling cards got to the mass media and therefore, he went to stay with Briar and Katelynn, Briar's daughter. Briar and Dex had a sexual relationship in the past but it didn't work out and they still remained the best of friends.

However, having time away and using the time to revisit your past and family, makes Dex think that something might be missing in his life. Let's hope he's not too late.

To quote my most favourite line: I'm going to be the last man you go on a first date with.
Coincidentally, I finished this book on the day I'm celebrating my 8th anniversary of being together with my first love. Hence, the impact is more. Thank you Ashley for the really sweet ride.

3.5*** This book was an OK read for me. The whole calling card idea was very funny and unique and was what got me interested in the story at the start. There was just something about the storyline that didn't really make this a fave of mine from this author. Dex may of been amazing in bed but he didn't do anything else to make him stand out. There was nothing really romantic or sweet that he did. Him and Briar didn't work out when they dated like 10yrs ago but all of a sudden he starts feeling more now. There was some drama with secrets from the past coming to light but towards the end it all just felt a bit rushed for me.

I had envisioned how this would end and the ending was just blah for me, not that it was bad but I had a really cute idea in my head that he would leave her a card and have like a 12 on the back she would call and the calling service would do a cute number about how much he loves her and then ask if she will marry him ect. And the. He would be behind her on one knee. That's how my thoughts worked lol but the ending worked but I just felt something was missing. But still a cute funny read

Holy Fucking Shit, this book was Amazeballs ! I have a hot new book boyfriend & his name is Dexter McFadden... OMG ! I loved that this book was told from his POV, it's cool to be inside the guy's head & know what he's thinking. Dex was a hot as sin sex on a stick character that had my panties dripping ! The story was so sweet & I cried at some parts & it was so well written. I highly, highly recommend this book !!!!

Es una historia simple que se lee rápido.
No es una historia para volverse locos, simplemente esta entretenido y te mantiene atrapado.
Hubo capítulos que me sobraron, que me parecieron innecesarios, mientras que hubo detalles en los que me hubiera gustado que profundizara más.

In my opinion, Ashley Suzanne really stepped up her game with this book. It's the best that I think she has published.

Calling Card is written from a male point of view. At first Dexter MacFadden comes across as a real piece of work, like one of those cocky A holes in a lot of books, but he quickly becomes his own unique entity. He really likes to sleep around so he has a system set up to log and rate his global conquests for future reference.
This isn't the first time I've woken up in a stranger's bed, lying next to a woman I don't recognize, in a city I can't remember. Ibiza? Paris? London?

Born to an American mother and Irish father, he grows up in Ireland until he looses both parents at the age of 10. His almost elderly grandparents take him back to Indiana to live with them, but they have both passed away by the time he is 13. So Dex has grown to only depend upon himself in life. He's a world renowned high end fashion photographer traveling the planet, but he has hardly any real connections.

What keeps Dex grounded is his best friend Briar. After witnessing his bluntness with the rest of the world, his interactions with her really help to humanize him. He is a mostly moral respectful guy, but a seat in his inner circle must be earned.

Dex stumbles through a few obstacles in this story. He has a couple of epiphanies and a come-to-jesus moment. The theme is self-discovery.

The author does a great job of delivering a sizzling hot, larger-than-life, sweet, down-to-earth oxymoron of a character to be your next favorite book boyfriend, and the storyline stayed interesting for me.

Dexter MacFadden is a world famous playboy photographer who has no use or interest in women beyond the time it takes to bed them. To keep them at bay after the deed, Dex has devised a little system. He sneaks out after they fall asleep and leaves them his calling card with a number (really a rating) on the back.

Dex has all the details worked out. If they score above a 6 then he may call on them again if he’s back in that city. If they score low and call him, well then they are simply handled by his answering service. He even has a little app for his sex life which he calls FB. It’s not Facebook, but the B does stand for book and the F stands for... you get the picture.

Is Dex an insensitive, cocky man-whore? Oh absolutely. But are his early exploits funny to read and thus you like him despite his flaws?

“It’s perfectly acceptable to nod your head in agreement, I’m not judging.”

But after years of avoiding confrontation and scandal with his hook-up system and cocky attitude, both finally fail him. Media exposure forces Dex to lie low and he retreats to the only two girls who have ever meant something to him—his one and only ex-girlfriend and her daughter.

Briar is a former model; the woman who made his career. They have a long history, a former relationship that has resulted in a dear friendship. But once Dex is forced to reexamine his life (his whole life even beyond his sexual shenanigans) he finds that Briar may mean even more to him than he ever realized.

From here the mood of the story shifts a bit. The beginning is humorous and sexy, the middle sweet, and the end a little melancholy so the book takes you on a bit of a ride. Dex must weather the storm of his damaged professional career and public image, investigate his feelings for Briar, and return to his past to be set free of some personal demons.

The narration is witty as Dex is no holds bared with his commentary and descriptions of his sex life. This book is somewhat unique in that it is told entirely from the male point of view, and while it would have been nice to have some perspective from Briar to get a better feel for her character, this is largely about Dexter’s journey.

It’s a fairly quick read (or maybe it's just that easy to stay engaged with), and I would have ultimately liked to see more to his relationship with Briar and maybe less of his exploits with other women after a certain point. But it's still an engaging story, and there is an HEA, no cliffhanger, and an epilogue that shows just how far Dex has come.

Some may call Dexter (Dex) MacFadden an asshole or douche bag for the way he handles his “relationships” in life, but to be honest, I think he is rather ingenious. Dex has lots of one night stands. After he is fully sated (and she is as well), he slips out in the wee hours of the morning and leaves a business card (aka calling card) on the woman’s kitchen counter. On the front of the card is a phone number. On the back is a number 1-10. The phone number goes to an answering service. Once the woman calls, she is asked the number on the back. If the number is a 7 or higher, her information is stored for possible later encounters. If the number is a 6 or lower, the information is still taken but not stored. So all of the women are made to think they have a chance at least with him again. See? He’s not a total douche bag! And he never promised the women anything more than just a one night stand. If the women hope for or want more, that is kind of on them.

Well the proverbial shit hits the fan for Dex. His very private affairs comes to surface and the whole world now knows all about it. Dex needs to avoid the public for a while so he flees to his best friend’s (Briar) house to hang out with her and her daughter (Katie). Briar used to be a model. (Did I mention that Dex was a photographer?) She got pregnant and married and quit the modeling career. Her husband passed away; therefore it’s just Briar and Katie. Briar and Dex had been together once but it didn’t work out and they became close friends. Now that Dex and Briar are spending so much time together, the bond they share starts to grow.

Secrets are revealed. The past comes back to haunt them both. Sparks fly. What will happen? Read to find out! I loved the book. This is the first book I have read by Ashley Suzanne and I am intrigued to read more of her works. There is a sexy scene between Dex and Briar during a photo shoot that had me fanning myself hard! It’s a must read for everybody out there! I couldn’t get enough. There were moments where I didn’t know if this was going to be a cliffhanger or a HEA. Lots of twists and turns are in it too. Go 1-click it today! I enjoyed the ride.

Ashley Suzanne is my queen of writing twists and I expect no less when I pick up her books, the latest being Calling Card. Well, this time the twist is on me! It's a straightforward love story, but no less beautiful, because it's one about redemption.

Dexter MacFadden is a real tool. Granted, the women he takes to his bed all have a chance to say no, but it's how he treats them afterward that makes him so. He leaves his number, yes, and then he gives them an additional one.

Never have I heard of "score" being used this way! It's novel, but still no less painful for the other side involved. However, Dex doesn't think that way; plus, it's a great cataloging system for him to keep track of who to contact when he's in that part of the world again.

All women are just numbers to him except two. His best friend Briar and her daughter Katelynn. These are the only two people with whom he is his whole self because Briar was there even before he became a world-famous fashion photographer. She was actually the reason why he got the reputation for being the best when she shot to the top of the fashion world. She's off limits to him, though, because he values their friendship more than a quick physical connection.

When the fashion world finds itself a juicy new scandal - him - he retreats back to his home country and starts discovering things about his past he never knew or realized; things he thought were true that made him who is. He realizes then who and what are most important and decides to go find to his own, authentic path.

Although this is a quick read, Calling Card is a novel with more than a simple story. Dex can be anybody and he can also be me. The point being - exactly how "you" are you? Did you become the image you want everybody else to see or are you truly your own self? Ashley Suzanne again plays with your mind, but this time, not using her characters. She makes you look inside yourself.

Calling Card is about Dexter MacFadden. He’s a world renowned photographer and also a bit of a man-whore. I will say that Dex is the type of man that I love to hate. He is a douche but he is so charming at the same time and draws women to him like a mouth to a flame. He does have standards, well very few but he never mixes business and pleasure. He thought he had his system down pat. He would take women back to their homes, have sex with them, and when they fell asleep he would sneak out and leave his business card with a number on the back of it. Then when the women called his office they were read a response depending on their number. This seemed to be working for him until he had an interview and very nicely told the interviewer that he didn’t mix business and pleasure. He thought that was the end of it…until the day the interview was published. He decided that he should lay low for a little while and went to stay with his best friend, Briar and her daughter.

I loved Briar from the get go; she seems to see through Dexter and doesn’t’ put up with any of his crap. They tried to date in the past but it didn’t work for them, so they decided to just remain friends. They have been best friends ever since. Briar met someone, got married and had a baby. Then her husband dies and she’s left to raise their daughter alone. But this time when Dex goes and stays with Briar its different…can they remain just friends or has the most available bachelor finally met his match? I will say that I thought that the ending was perfect and left me wanting more!

This book was a quick and light read. The writing flows smoothly, almost as smooth as Dexter. This book is different than Ashley’s other books and is my favorite so far. If you like a guy that you can hate and love all at the same time you will love this story. I cannot wait to see what Ashley has in store for her readers next.

Dexter MacFadden is an amazing photographer who travels around the country photographing the top models and dealing with the upper class. This includes woman in and out of the bedroom. Yes he’s a player and has a system and an app for it. His system is simple and there for a reason. He leaves a business card behind for every woman he sleeps with and leaves a number on the back. Yes every woman. There’s a phone number on the card that connects the girl to a phone service. The phone service has a script. If the girl is below 7 there is a script that won’t break the girl’s heart, and also protects him because it basically compliments them but does not give his information. Now the girls who rate above 7 are put in his black book or FB ( f***book) app. These girls get a call back, and he makes sure to snap a photo so he remembers each girl that makes it into his book. Easy Peasy, right? Wrong. After blowing off a reporter who wanted to get to know Dex better after their interview, his little system was ousted. So Dex goes into hiding with the one person he trusts the most and who got his photography career started. His best friend and the only girl he’s ever love Briar. Will Dex’s career be ruined? Does Dex love Briar? Read it!
This book amused me. I had to laugh at the calling card because in all truth really woman are that catty and the card was a great idea coming from this woman’s perspective. Now in all honesty I knew it would never work because anyone that callous should really be brought down from their pedestal. I love Briar. She’s very sweet, but can knock you back into the real world too. And she’s the only woman who actually made Dex look like a normal person. Bravo!

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest and thoughtful review.

This book had me laughing or smiling the entire time. A quick, sweet, funny and did I mention sexy read! Dex hmmmm he is the father of all playboys; sexy, smart, cocky and funny! The author wrote this character extremely well, never once did I hate him for the way he treated women, he appealed to me. I was interested, hooked, wishing he would have left me a calling card! Now Briar, sweet, sweet Briar she will still your heart in the same manner I reckon she stole Dex's! They have an amazing relationship, off the top chemistry and a love that lasted even when put to the test. There will be problems in this book and I loved that they were solved in a timely manner and not drug out and talked about over and over. I read this book straight through bc it's always entertaining to get inside the head of a man and Ashley Suzanne delivered on that. Dex's thought process and dialogue was hilarious and Ashley's inner playboy really came out to play through Dex. I did feel like the characters relationship from the past should have been more developed by that I mean I simply would have liked to see more about their past relationship.

Dexter McFadden is a famous photographer. He travels all around the world shooting high fashion. He also travels to… how do I put this lightly? Get his dick wet. He finds a girl that fits his needs, goes back to her place to hook up, then leaves while she’s asleep. Except he leaves them something… A calling card.
When word gets out about what this playboy photographer is doing, all hell breaks loose. It turns into a huge scandal, even though it’s really not. Going into hiding, he flies to New York to stay with former girlfriend now best friend and her daughter.
One night, Briar and Dex get a little hot and heavy in the bedroom. Afraid that he’s going to screw up their friendship, he backs off and flies out of the country the next day. When he fails to screw a girl because she shares the same name as Briar’s daughter, he gives up. That’s when he knows that he has fallen hard for his former girlfriend. He hopes he’s not too late and can make it work this time.
Ashley Suzanne… what can I say about Ashley Suzanne? Oh! ALWAYS expect the unexpected. She got me twice in this book, and it wasn’t even that long. If you’re looking for a book that will surprise you, read anything of hers.
I also loved this story because it was unique. You don’t often read stories about photographers. I also enjoyed the little girl, Briar’s daughter. I often dislike having children or babies in books, because I feel that they take away from the story that I wanted. But Katelynn was perfect for this. The relationship she and Dex share is adorable and Katelynn is a blast.
Five stars for the lovely Ashley Suzanne. I think this quick little book was fun and very enjoyable.

I loved reading Calling Card. It's another great book by Ashley Suzanne. I have read just about everything Ashley Suzanne has published and Calling Card is now my favorite one by her.
OMG, I loved Dex. Dex is a playboy. He's a famous photography, who gets to travel a lot. He sleeps with many women and after he leaves a calling card. The number on the card leads to his office. When the women call they are given a messaged based on the number on the back of the card. The number on the back of the card is how he rated them. He has no intentions of ever calling any of them back. I found the whole calling card system to be funny and kind of interesting. I read a lot and I have never read a book that used that concept before which made it a unique and interesting read for me.
After Dex's calling card system hits the media, he takes a little break. He goes and stays with his best friend Briar. Dex and Briar had a relationship before but now they are best friends. I loved Briar and Dex together. Contemplations arises when Dex and Briar take their relationship over the friendship line one night.
I don't want to say to much about the book because I don't want to give any spoilers away. Calling Card in a really great story. You won't be disappointed with it. It is definitely a book you should one click now.

"Calling Card" follows the trysts and subsequent self-discovery of Dex McFadden, a hot-shot photographer who travels the world and seems to have a woman in every bed he's ever slept in. He also has a best friend- former supermodel Briar. When some of Dex's past liaisons come to light, Briar is his source of peace and safety. When old feelings are reawakened as well as old wounds reopened, Dex and Briar must see if they can move beyond their pasts in order to find a future with one another.

This novel is an enjoyable read. It's written in a style that reads very easily and quickly. There was a great deal of lighthearted humor mixed with some of the heavier story elements. Ms. Suzanne wrote it in first-person, present tense, from Dex's point of view, which lends itself to seeing right into Dex's head. Sometimes, it's hard to get into a book told solely from a male's pov, but he tells the story in a casual way, often narrating exactly as your best friend would relay events to you, which helps push the story along and helps it not be too cheesy or preachy.

This is the perfect read for a rainy afternoon or for when you're simply looking for a lighthearted and quick read. There is enough heat to make it interesting and make women interested in Dex mixed with a good plot, without unneeded angst. The book is a stand-alone and a HEA.

First I'd like to say thank you to Ashley Suzanne for the opportunity to read this arc in exchange for an honest review.
I'd just like to say, when you first read this book Dex is such a despicable character. You don't feel one ounce of sympathy for him and I was getting quite annoyed at his selfish behaviour. He gives women a calling card as he leaves their apartments giving them a score out of 10. Little do the women know that's what it is, until one wily lady figures it all out. Now will Dex's career get destroyed, or will he come out of it the other side smelling of roses.
Now, that said, you quickly begin to find out why he is like he is and a little sympathy starts to creep in. Dexter is a great guy that has been lead down a sad, dark and pretty lonely path.
Briar is a stunning ex-model who has a gorgeous 5 year old called Katelyn. Briar and Dexter used to date when Dex was just starting out with his photography business, but as both of their careers took off, they mutually decided to call off the romance and stay friends.
This story quickly becomes a gorgeous romance in which an unlikely soul finds put his past was not what it seemed, and that love really should be the be all and end all.
With trips and turns along the way, you may not see the ending coming, but that is the best part. I hope we see a lot more of Dex and maybe a little less of his calling cards
