I really wanted to like this but this was not a good book! Too many characters, not a gripping tale and a twist that was meh at the best. The main character isn’t super endearing- I kept asking myself why won’t you just go home if all this horrible stuff keeps happening to you? It’s literally a Eurostar away? Odd.

There was far too much fat in this story that could’ve been cut, that by the time you get to the twist you’re lost interest!

This is a gripping read, set in Paris with just enough characters to keep you in suspense, yet not overwhelmed. A great idea, although the premise of winning a competition was just a bit 'too good to be true' - had to suspend disbelief at that.
