Courtney and Nick were a nice couple. Both had been betrayed by their significant others in the past. Nick had trust issues. Courtney needed closure. Everything worked out in the end. Good solid read.
Nick Bingham works as an adventure guide and volunteers as a search and rescue medic going places where an ambulance can’t go and carries them out. He was a medical student until he realized it isn’t what he wanted in life so he dropped out and is now doing what he loves to do. Courtney Price is a travel writer who has just landed a job in Heritage Bay. She has just flown in from Australia and with everything going wrong at the moment, she is a day late showing up for her first day at work. She went to Australia to get away after catching her boyfriend of a year cheating on her with her roommate. As Nick had a bad experience with his ex-girlfriend, he had trust issues . His ex only wanted him when he was to be a doctor and bringing in lots of money and prestige. Needless to say, trust issues were put to the test. I received a free copy to review: this is my first Jillian Walsh book, very much in one of my fav genres: clean romance. The characters in this story were far from shallow and had to face relatable life-struggles head on. The mix of lighthearted, tummy-flipping attraction and romance, to dealing with cheating ex's, to scarey life & death situations, varied the pace nicely. A sweet romance, yet not frivolous - thoroughly enjoyable!
Language: the author uses phrases like "gosh" as expletives - be aware of this if it is something you find offensive. Sex: none. Allusions to premarital sexual relationships but no details. In this book, only sweet kissing and flirting. Triggers: cheating/infidelity; pushy parents; emotional baggage, medical emergencies such as stroke and requiring search & rescue.
Both main characters have had a terrible relationship recently and are coming to terms with it. They meet in a Wisconsin lake town where she is just starting a new job after a time in Australia. The characters are terrific and the backstories fill their details out nicely. The locale was perfect as I understand the dynamic of a small town in the midwest. This is a fun story with a lot of banter and good times. Perfect book for a downer day or a bad day at work. It will bring many smiles and laughs your way and cheer you up.

I loved Jillian Walsh's story of passion and adventure in her book One Sweet Day I Found You: A Sweet Romance Book 1, it's an great story that I enjoyed. Nick is an adventure guide and volunteer search-and-rescue medic, Courtney is a travel writer. When they meet their chemistry is off the charts but when her ex renters the picture will she break Nick's trust. It was a great read that I found amazing and I highly recommend.

I enjoyed this sweet clean HEA! I enjoyed the inner thoughts of both main characters, kept me on my toes as to wondering what they’d decide to do next. Some parts of the story seemed a bit drawn out but for the most part kept my interest. I enjoyed the scene when Courtney met Nick’s family. Talk about awkward. Over all great first book to the series and I look forward to the next books to come out.
This is my first experience with this author and I have to say it was a very pleasant one. I will certainly be looking for more of her books in the future! This is a sweet and clean story about second chances in love. Nick and Courtney were a great couple and had undeniable chemistry. Both have been burned in love before and were reluctant to trust again. This book will bring you plenty of smiles as you read their story. I would definitely recommend!

Why should you read this book?🤔 👇🏻 It has those “Sweet” 4💫💫💫💫 • 👍🏻Author Jillian Walsh has done an amazing job with the background of the story, plot and seamlessly blended characters🤩 The book has yumm-licious characters! Swooon...😍😋 👍🏻 Courtney is a travel blogger and Nick is a tour guide and a search and rescue medic. When Courtney moves to Heritage Bay, she finds herself at peace. A new job, new friends, a picturesque location, she wants to see the world! "Clean-cut, with close-cropped, sandy-brown hair. Broad-shouldered with a trim, athletic build. She guessed he was roughly her age. Probably about twenty-six or twenty-seven? And eyes that were gorgeous pair of blues. Not bad looking. At all." Nick was always expected to follow his family tradition and become a doctor but soon he drops out to find the real him. He is out for an adventure, trekking and biking, kayaking, his daily fix of adrenaline. Both of them burnt in their part set on a journey to find themselves...will they find each other or will history repeats itself?
