Great series of Dragon shifter romances on a tropical island
A brilliant series of slow-build romances with fantastic chemistry between the main characters, an enchanted island, drama, action, great banter, some great twists, wonderful romances and lovely HEAs.
I really enjoyed the banter between Max and his friends in these stories.
The Virgin's Chosen Dragon - Falling into love
After coming to his friend's island resort for two weeks rest, Theo helps Eden when she arrives and introduces himself as her knight in shining armour. He can't stop thinking about her afterwards, having a strong desire to be with her, as well as feeling protective; but he worries he's too old for her and tries to fight his feelings, much to the amusement of his friend Max.
Eden is tired of having her life dictated to her by her parents and is looking forward to her freedom before starting college. She feels strong attraction for the man who caught her when she jumped and came running when she screamed and wants a taste of romance, ignoring the fact he might be a player. When the island's magic sends them to the past their bond grows and Theo reveals his secret and he will protect her no matter what.
A Savior for the Arrogant Dragon - Finding true love
When Simon arrives on the island he's making a play for the lady who's on the same boat as him, though she's having none of it and when he finds her having sailing lessons a day later, he experiences feelings he hasn't felt before and just wants to be able to spend more time with her. But when his behaviour causes problems he starts to want to be a different person.
Kira had come to the island with Mary Beth, her friend and attorney who had helped her with her ex. Mary Beth is an old friend of Max's (having dated him at college) and Kira isn't pleased to find that Simon is his friend. But she agrees to meet with him for a meal and as she gets to know him more she realises he also has a past he's trying to escape.
The Dragon's Dream Girl - He just wanted a holiday, not to fall in love and face all his fears
When Archie arrives on the island he bumps into a lady who's also just arrived but after a bad divorce he's not wanting to start a new relationship. When he runs into the lady again on the beach, they start chatting and Archie can feel an attraction but refuses to let himself go for it, just wanting friendship.
Felicity has come to the island with her sister as they need a rest after she'd almost died trying to escape her ex. It's left her scared and people are always staring, but the man she bumps into at the dock seems to see her rather than her scar.
The Dragon's Brave Nanny - Fate and love push them together
Days before he was due to go to his friend's tropical island Keith discovered he was a father so he arranges for a nanny to join them on the trip. He was going to the island to work and he hadn't expected to fall in love with the woman who went with him.
Stella is in hiding and sees a nanny job on an island in Bermuda as a perfect location. It's a shame how grumpy her new boss is though, considering how handsome he is and cute his son is. They clash when they first meet but once she realises how little experience Keith has Stella is quick to ensure he gets everything he needs. Despite the rocky start they both sense a connection, and when she gets into deep water with the baby, she's shocked to discover another side of them both, and a romance, that she would have never have expected.
Dragon Daddy's Second Chance - Fate and love reunite them
When Blake comes to The Heart of the Ocean to visit Max he didn’t expect to see the love of his life who he’d lost 6 years before and been unable to find. But once he’s confirmed it’s her, he’s determined to do whatever he needs to do not lose her again.
Wren had been warned to stay away from Blake by his family and had kept his son a secret but meeting him again on the island she can’t deny the feelings she has for him are stronger now than they were before. She’s never been able to forget him but is worried she’ll lose her son if he finds out about him.
Secrets of the Dragon's Heart - They both have secret agendas
With Max finally starting to believe in the magic of the island he's worried as he's got another of his close friends due to visit. But despite his warnings Cameron is a scientist and believes he can prove there's no magic. And though he does feel an attraction to the lady arriving on the island at the same time he knows he could never mate with a human (it's forbidden by the laws of his clan, and he's the reluctant heir). He's spent years trying to find a scientific explanation for the shifter "magic" so he life his life how he wants to and let his brother take the leader role (I really liked his brother, Zach).
Kennedy had seen Cameron at an event and had a feeling that he was hiding something in his locked lab. She's persuaded her newspaper to let her go undercover on the island to find out his secrets, but finds she's more attracted to him than is professionally suitable making her story difficult. Though there might be another story she can also investigate, that of the island making people fall in love.
A First for the Playboy Dragon - His plan was to never fall in love
Max warns Harrison that it's just the two of them left to fall in love, and the island will make sure it happens. But Harrison feels he's just on the island to do a job, and looks forward to mixing a little business with pleasure, sure that love isn't for him. He's on the island to manage security for Max and when he goes down to the docks to see the next boat come in, he feels a pull towards one; but the woman who gets off is completely different to what he goes for and when she's knocked in the water his protective side has him racing to help.
Juliet has come to the island with a job to help her brother, but feels a connection to Harrison from the moment she sees him. She's there to gather information and getting closer to the head of security might help, but the closer they get the less she wants to ruin what they might have growing between them.
The Last Bachelor Dragon - He's ready to accept his mate, but still gets taken by surprise
Max has accepted that the Heart of the Ocean island will help him find his true mate, just like it has for his friends. He's determined to accept whoever the island sends his way and won't fight it, but needs to sort out Nora first. She was one of the ladies rescued with Juliet on the boat but refuses to let him know who she is and he doesn't want to leave her in Bermuda with no money or id. She challenges him daily and he's sure that she's there to test him before his true mate arrives.
Nora is just wanting to escape her father's control and a marriage she doesn't want; but has found herself stuck on an island with Max who makes everything uncomfortable for her. Every time she thinks she's found a solution to a problem, he just makes it harder; and why can't she stop thinking about him?

This is a wonderful series focused around the Heart of the Ocean Island and Max. Max has 7 special friends that all 8 of them went through college together, the ups and downs. Now that he has finally gotten his dream ocean retreat opened, each friend is coming to spend 2 weeks on the island for vacation and to renew their friendships. Little do they know, the island has some surprises of its own in store for their vacations as well. During each of their stays, each man will encounter their fated mate, whether they like the idea or not. The women are no more prepared for the adventure than the men are, and some of the adventures get pretty intricate. From time travel, to altered features, to topographical and weather changes and more, the island certainly keeps these couples on their toes. Will it be enough to convince these hard headed men (and women) that they've met their match? ,
Now, of course, the dragon within already recognizes the mate, but getting the human on board is a different matter entirely. Oh, then there's the little matter of telling the women about their dragon. Yeah, nothing can ever be that simply - right? Well, kick back and enjoy the journey as these 8 men, er couples, find the keys to their own happiness (sometimes despite themselves).

This was an engaging and entertaining series that takes us on quite the reading ride. Each book is a stand-alone but they are much better when read in order, and hence why this set is so great ;D Expect to go on a journey with each couple as they navigate the drama, danger, betrayal, twists and hot chemistry that lets them get their HEA. I especially love that the last book brings all the couples together, giving the whole series great depth. Definitely enjoyable and I'm looking forward to what's next by this author :D

Pleasant Stories.
Enjoyable stories, but did tend to use the same descriptive language, making them somewhat predictable. Obviously written to a formula, but that being said, I enjoyed the escapism and loved the idea of dragons. On the whole, if you wanted light, it was a good read but I would have enjoyed having more time on couples and the outcomes for the antagonists in the books. They tended to be very one dimensional and their downfalls unsatisfying. However, great escapist read.

First off, when the action happens, it's fairly good. Without spoiling anything by giving you the plots, the same dance happens in each book.
My suggestions for the author are as follows:
Be a little more creative for the individual stories. Several came to mind while I was reading.
Be careful with the descriptions. The books are about dragons, but in 1, calling a dragon's jaws a "beak" made me think griffin.

Dragons please!!!
I really enjoyed reading this series. I like the family values. I'm not one who enjoys the sexuality that a lot of these type of books have, also the violence. This series has some of that, but it wasn't too graphic. It was an easy read with a good story. Thank you.

Enjoyable read
Its not the normal shifter book per say but the characters face their journeys with their whole heart in play difficult scary and unknown but in the end each finds their happy ever after threw the magic of a beautiful island. The power feed by love what more could you want

Great Read!
I really enjoyed this entire series watching the 8 different couples travel their rocky roads to them all finally finding their HEA. I love books about dragon shifters and am looking forward to reading more from this author. I will definitely recommend this series to everyone.

Good story line.

Even though the books are pretty much the same, they are good reads. I wish I could find love like all 8 of them did. In the last book we don't find out what happened to the drug guy.

I enjoyed. Reading this’s series box set. My only critique is regarding the steamy bits which were made less steamy and to be honest in my opinion cringy. If you are doing adult scenes don’t use words like nib etc.
