I think this volume was a mixed bag, there were some really interesting things it did but at the same time I think it did a few things to hurt itself.
Let's start with the positive, I reallyed like the fact that Ryuuto is sticking up for Runa and putting all the nasty rumors to bed. He won't stand for the slander and I respect that, you should look after your girl. Speaking of which the decision to make their relationship a secret in the first volume was an interesting take because you usually have these series be about the love confession whereas this one just jumped straight into a relationship. So I was wondering when the secret would end and how long they would play along with it, Runa was having a hard time in this volume becaue guys were hitting on her and she didn't really have much of a leg to stand on. Yeah Ryuuto helped out but it wasn't until which will really changed this series.
I think my main problem was this volume was the ex crush that he had, she manipluated him and was just painted as this really nasty person. Here we are given her in a vunerable state and even though she's bullied him, he conforms her. I know we are supposed to feel sorry for her but I just don't like her. Just because a girl is crying doesn't make her any less of a dispicable person. She has a reveal as well which actually made her a little worse for me, I understand this is supposed to change our presepective of Maria but it just made me dislike her even more.
So yeah I've rather focus on the relationship than the bully/ex crush sitation but it's part of the series now, maybe it'll grow on me in the future volumes.
