Not everyone’s good at one-night stands.

Skye Stephens has the worst day of her professional career, and all she wants to do is shed her power suit and get lost in the sheets with the hot guy she met at the bar. The problem is, this uptight ad exec doesn’t know how to do one-night stands. She has strict rules about dating and when to let a man in her bedroom.

Fighter pilot Ben “Bolt” Hardcastle is used to lovin’ and leavin’. But, after he meets Skye, one night doesn’t seem to be enough.

When these two crash-land into each other, a connection strong enough to make the loner pilot and the sexy businesswoman shed their rules about love and relationships begins to burn deeper than either of them ever expected.

Ben "Bolt" Hardcastle has always been the love-em-and-leave-em type of guy, indulging in one night stands that keep any romantic relationships at arms length. But when he meets Skye, their one night stand is complicated due to lack of a condom, and they spend the night together anyway. But something subtly changes for Ben,and maybe it's more than coincidence that he has to return to her apartment to retrieve his best friend's dog tags he happened to leave there.

Ben didn't bargain for a woman who is different than most of his conquests, and he finds himself going back for more. Of course, it doesn't take long for him to mess things up, and it takes his best friend's widow to help him see the light. Luckily, Skye is just as interested as Ben and they decide to "date". Only Skye has one condition -- no sex for 30 days.

Ben takes up the challenge and after a few starts and stops when the wait is finally over, everything looks like it could work out, that is until Ben lets her know about an upcoming deployment.

I really liked this feel-good novella. I expected a lot more of the need-tissues type of drama, but I was pleasantly surprised that the story focused on their feelings for each other. That's not to say there isn't any conflict, but it's mostly regarding how Skye and Ben deal with their growing attraction and the fact that something was really happening between them.

Fly is a lovely story that's perfect for an afternoon read when you want something not too heavy with a sweet HEA.

Oh, and can I say again that I think this is one of the hottest covers of the year?

Fly is a short and read romantic read. I didn't think it would turn out to be as romantic as it was. I thought it would be more sexy fun, which it was but it was also surprisingly sweet. I flew through Fly very quickly. It was an instant gratification, one sitting read that will perk up your afternoon or evening. Fly is the start of a new New Adult Contemporary series from T.A. Foster. At least I think it is. The book is a standalone but we met both Bolt and Skye's Single friends so I smell a series brewing! I normally don't read too many military books. I have no idea why, but I just haven't yet. Fly made me wonder what the heck I was waiting for.

Skye is a strong lady. I really liked her. And I loved that Bolt saw that she was different. I loved seeing Skye at work. I wanted her to succeed so badly with the tourism and zoo campaign. There was a small incident with one of her co-workers towards the end of the book that got my blood boiling, and then it wasn't brought up again. I really want to know what is going to happen with Mr. Jerk face. But he wasn't the focus of the story. Skye and Bolt were.

Right from the start, it was easy to see that Bolt and Skye had chemistry. I liked that Skye didn't enter the story until a couple of chapters in so we could see how Bolt normally acted and interacted with women. It showed us just how different Skye was. I think my very favorite Bolt was actually after he messed up for the first time with Skye. It was their first real fight and how he started acting afterwards, I thought was really telling. And he was so flippin' cute! It was adorable. T.A. Foster knows her way around a romance. Some of those scenes were pretty awesome. I may have re-read a few scenes again because they were too good for one reading.

These characters were a bit older than the characters in her other stories. It felt a bit more mature. I loved hearing about Ben (Bolt) being a pilot.) I thought those were great additions to the story. The really sad part of Faith. I want her to get her second chance at love so bad. Plus I want to see Hollywood and Skye's friend get their stories as well. Fly is told in dual narrative, and is well written and well executed. This is a solid New Adult Contemporary Romance. T.A. Foster never disappoints. I have read, and enjoyed, all of her books except for the Ivy Grace Series. How did I miss that one? I need to read it ASAP!

HE’S A PRO.
He’s a pilot with a call sign of Bolt. He was used to picking them up and leaving them next thing in the morning. He wasn’t a relationship material, and prefers one-night stand to commitment. UNTIL he met his match…

HER 30-day rule.
After all the hardship Skye put on that project, it was given to someone else. This was her worst day ever, and all she ever wanted to do was to forget about it. Here comes this charming, hot, bad boy that swept her off her feet and made her ALMOST forget her inhibitions and her rule. Unlike Ben, she wasn’t used to one-night stands and prefers dating over it.

How can HE last with her rules? Or will SHE be the one to succumb to his charms? Ah, it’s a battle of wills between these two, but I love the compromise they came up with. Bolt knew he needed to take his time with her because unlike any other girls, Skye was different. He knew it, his friends knew it. He did some things which were really so-not Ben, but oh-so-sweet. One wrong move – all his hard work came spiraling down.

As for Skye – I LOVE HER! I admire her determination to adhere to her rules. I love the fact that she stick to it, and the fact that she managed to make it to 30 days without giving in. I mean – hello – here is a sexy man who knows hundred different ways of making you pant, squirm and moan, and yet she stood by her principles. How can you not adoreeee her?

COMPROMISE. Probably that’s the key term on how they made this work. He tried not to push, she tried to give him something to look forward to. And when they finally DID it (oh yes, they did) – it was worth the wait. But of course, there’s that itty-bitty problem of trust, doubt and lies of omission.

Will they ever make it work?

FLY is a short, sweet and sexy read. I finished this book in one sitting. I didn’t have the heart to put it down. The pacing was perfect, it didn’t drag, it didn’t felt rush. The romance didn’t feel cheesy, but really swoon-worthy, the characters have developed throughout the span of the book, and the steamy scenes – one long foreplay that made the climax last long.

I have been waiting and waiting for this to come up on my reading calendar. I kept seeing it my Kindle App when I’d scroll through the books and it seemed like it would be forever before I got a chance to read it. Forever came today. :D

What drew me to this book? I won’t lie. I love that cover. There is just something about a military man that does it for me every time. Then I read the blurb and I was completely reeled in.

Skye and Ben. Neither looking for a relationship. Ben, had definitely decided he would never settle down. He spent his nights moving from woman to woman, never making a commitment. Skye was a complete workaholic, never letting herself go. She spent all her time at the office so that she could move up in the world and have stability and security.

They meet in a bar one night when Ben saves her from a snooty waiter and so the story goes.

I loved this book. I was anticipating it so much that I was worried it was going to be one of those ones that I looked forward to but ended up being a DNF. That was so far off base! I should have known that T.A. Foster wouldn’t let me down.

I read this all in one sitting this morning, completely neglecting my overflowing email box and blogging that needed to be done. It was so worth it. These two have hot chemistry between them and both are just characters that I really liked as people.

I loved how sweet Ben was with Skye’s mom. That awkward meeting the family thing can go one of two ways, great or horribly wrong. It just really showed who he was underneath that I don’t date, I don’t make commitments, I don’t do relationship swagger.

I want more of this couple so much. Surely we can pressure T.A. to write more about them? Right? Or someone tell me there is a sequel? (It ended nice and neatly, so don’t worry about that, I just want more cuz I’m greedy like that.) We could go through his deployments, through more of their relationships, we could even have a spin off with his friend Faith.

I’m getting carried away.

I adored this book if you can’t tell. 5 stars from me!

Thank you so much for my copy of Fly!

Before I delve into Fly, I’d like to say that T. A. Foster is such a good writer! Yep, I am one of her fans! She manages to write sweet stories with many intriguing and mysterious elements and not to mention the sexiness her stories entail. This combination can only be described as T.A. Foster!

Now…

About Fly…

First of all, the characters are magnificent! I really enjoyed them! Skye is an independent, intelligent, sweet young woman. She knows what she wants and she isn’t willing to compromise. I admire her for that. She stays true to herself and that is amazing. Ben is our sweet and sexy playboy. He is fiercely loyal to his friends and family, overprotective of them and devoted to his job. I believe they are as similar as different and they fit perfectly together!

Second of all, I liked the fact that our 2 main characters didn’t have tragic pasts. It’s hard to remember sometimes that not all people have bad childhoods or bad upbringing or bad experiences in general. Of course, our characters have their own problems and wounds, but not the tragic past we read so often.

Third of all, the writing is as always beautiful!

However, I felt like something was missing, a highlight or something spicy. Plus, the ending left us hanging and with more questions than answers. I hope that the author wants to make it a series, which would explain how Fly ended. In fact, I believe we need a second book for Ben and Skye’s story to conclude beautifully.

Fly is a beautiful story about 2 characters, who are extremely attracted to each other but also falling in love with each other. It describes how a relationship is these days.. It feels real, which is another magical T.A. Foster thing.

I enjoyed it and I really hope for a sequel!

So, Fly receives 4 Gorgeous Stars!!

T.A. Foster delivers an utterly fun, sexy and completely captivating military romance between a fighter pilot and a strong-willed businesswoman. He’s a one-night-stand-only type of bad boy and she doesn’t do those. But the attraction is strong between them and soon the two are maneuvering themselves into a dating pattern. Fly is a quick read, but it doesn’t cheat readers of a complete storyline chocked full of all the goodies romance readers demand. And the flyboy, Ben “Bolt” Hardcastle is as sexy a hero as his name implies, one who exudes charm and seduction. Skye Stephens is a no-nonsense type of woman who doesn’t allow herself much fun. He tempts her with second thoughts – and she might be the one to make his one-night stands a thing of the past. Opposites attract in this magnetically fun romp.

Is this a tease for more of the Rebel Squadron? I hope so! There are some secondary cast members that I would certainly like to see get their full stories told.

This was cute and a little cheesy at times but I enjoyed it. My only real complaint was the total rushed and abrupt ending. There was so much more story there and I just hate that it wasn't explored.

I have become a huge fan of T.A. Foster's after having read several of her books now. She always delivers a sweet story that I know will leave me feeling happy and satisfied with the outcome. I can honestly say though that I have been super excited ever since I first heard about Fly, because there is just something sexy about a pilot! I ended up really enjoying this book, and it is definitely one of my favorites of T.A. Foster's to date.

Skye Stephens is a workaholic who just had all the credit for a job well done taken from her. When her work friend suggests that they go and get a drink to get over it, Skye is at first reluctant but ends up agreeing. When her friend winds up sick and stands her up though, a sexy stranger swoops in a rescues her. They immediately hit it off and end up deciding to spend the night together. At first, the night seems to be typical for fighter pilot Ben "Bolt" Hardcastle. But when they find out that neither of them has a condom they end up spending the night just hanging out together. Ben is used to one night only, but with Skye he finds himself wanting more. They end up seeing each other more and more as both of them feel a connection unlike anything they have felt before. But Skye has a rule that she doesn't sleep with anyone until they have been together for at least a month, and she isn't convinced that Ben will wait around that long. Ben finds himself unable to stay away though, and soon he is actually thinking about a future with just one girl as long as it is Skye. But with his 6 month deployment coming up, can they really have any kind of future together when their relationship is so new?

I really liked Ben. He was sexy and sweet, and I really thought that he was great for Skye. He loosened her up and showed her how to really live and not just work all the time. I loved that even when he screwed up he wasn't afraid to admit that he had made a mistake and do what it took to show Skye that he wanted her. He waited for her, and he showed that their relationship was about more than just sex. I also really liked what a great friend he was and that he looked out for his friend's girl because he wasn't around anymore. I thought that he was really more than met the eye, and it was good to see him start to really allow himself to be happy and hope for the future with Skye. Skye was smart and dedicated, but she definitely worked too hard. She had been used to putting everything into her career and it was really great to see her start to enjoy life with Ben. I thought that they were perfect for each other, and I loved that they had the chemistry but also the everyday sweetness to them as well. I liked that they were playful and fun together, and it was really cute to see them on their dates and enjoying each other's company.

Overall, this book was definitely another winner from T.A. Foster. I enjoyed it a lot and I think it was definitely one of my favorites of hers. Ben and Skye were so fun to read about, but I also really enjoyed Ben's Friends as well! I especially loved Hollywood and I really liked the banter between those two. If you haven't read anything by T.A. Foster, you are really missing out. I love her writing style, and she always delivers a solid and entertaining story. Fly was no exception and I would absolutely recommend it if you are looking for a sweet and sexy contemporary read. I can't wait to see what T.A. Foster comes up with next.

Ah! I loved this story. It ended too soon! FULL REVIEW TO FOLLOW

**********
FLY is my first ever T.A. Foster book and it FOR SURE will not be my last. I used to just stick to the authors I know and read everything they had but it just wasn’t enough. And then I expanded my book shelves and couldn’t be happier. This book was everything I wanted it to be and more. It is full of fun and sexy characters, authentic situations and a beautiful setting. Let’s start with the characters. First off we have Ben “Bolt” Hardcastle. He is a fighter pilot always flitting to and fro, living life on the edge and loving the ladies. He is the epitome of a player and when he meets Skye, everything changes. Skye Stephens, a beautiful and successful woman draws his fascination. But what begins as an attempted one night stand turns into so much more than they could have dreamed of. Skye was such an awesome female character. She is a strong and capable woman, albeit married to her job, and she gives her entire person to the situations that she finds herself in. Her chance meeting with Ben allows for her to explore a part of herself that has been left dormant for so long, a chance to experience love and lust. Ben is the perfect counterpart to Skye. He is forceful and smooth. When he can no longer deny the chemistry and pull between them, he decides to do something he has never done: date Skye Stephens. The dating game between them is full of challenges and obstacles for the couple. Ben has no idea what he is doing and Skye is scared of what this situation will unleash into her life. Yet things seem to work well. There is a learning curve for Ben as he discovers what it means to pursue a woman for more than a night.
Their chemistry is explosive. Their connection is full of so many different emotions and desires. The further they fall the stronger that connect becomes. As their relationship and friendship grows, they become more invested in what they have. With all good things, there are some bumps in the road, creating heartache and disappointment. Yet they recover in such a way that their relationship is stronger and resolute.
I felt like this book shed light on some themes that are not seen much in books today (or at least books I have read). I loved reality of his job and how they learned to work within the parameters and make their relationship successful. The constant separations due to work and deployments added a layer of authenticity to the storyline that I loved. The camaraderie between Ben and his fellow pilots was full of banter and true deep friendship. I enjoyed reading their interactions. With both Ben and Skye, the theme of deep friendships was something I really appreciated from the story. Their friends were chosen family, people that mattered and had a great impact on their lives.
If you are looking for a story with a sweet and sexy love story set within a world of fighter pilots and beautiful sunny California, then look no further. You will not be disappointed. The only regret that I had was that it ended too soon. I wanted to read so much more about Ben and Skye, to see where the future took them. Needless to say, I have added the collection of T.A. Foster’s books to my TBR pile and I cannot wait to see what other stories I can dive into!

Soaring through this wonderful story is like a slice of Better Than Sex Cake!

This book revolves around piloting and the military and just flying in general, which was a first for me. I was so stoked to find a great read with awesome attributes, different aspects, and just a different, well-rounded, unique storyline and plot all together. Not to mention a hot cover to draw in much deserved attention and audience.

I love when an author writes a story that has, more or less, a connection with them personally or generally. It gives more of a feel to the kind of person the writer is and what goes on in their endlessly creative mind. To let a guard down and write your most inner thoughts is brave and scary at the same time because at the end of the day, getting it thrown back in your face is not what someone can easily prepare for, although it is a well-known possibility. However, it makes a reader feel like on a one-on-one with the author telling them their own story. Foster nailed it right on the head. I was very interested and fascinated with all the terminology and realness of being a pilot.

The characters were literally one-of-a-kind. Skye Stephens was very powerful, intelligent, self-sufficient, feminist-preaching (mostly to herself for motivation), and an absolute loving and caring person. Ben 'Bolt' Hardcastle was the confident, extroverted, living-in-the-now kind of guy, as well as being the wham-bam-thank-you-mam kind of guy. Bringing Ben and Skye together changed them both for the better. Even when things hit some turbulence, you'll sooner or later be able to fly straight.

Ben and Skye's love story was very inspiring and literally uplifted me as a reader and a lover of romance. Even the considered fall-backs or the fights between the characters allowed the reader to see the situation in a different light, a better perspective. They didn't even seem like it was harsh or the end of the world, the characters were very mature and poised when things got serious. They banded together and went over the obstacle and came over the other end all in one piece. I think that when a person makes a mistake and acknowledges it, they learn from it and figure out a way to prevent it from happening again. That is how I feel these characters handled everything being thrown at them. They have extremely ideal characteristics and I admire the way they would actually fit in the real world.

The rating of this story would be PG-17, it was never too much or not enough, just perfect. The atmosphere with the easygoing convo was really refreshing and just something anybody would enjoy in a quick read.

Overall, I had so much fun getting to know these characters and couldn't put it down until the very end. This was an outstanding book I would highly recommend as a DEFINITE-MUST-READ and can't wait to see what else Foster has in store.

"This girl was going to kill him, tame him or worse, both."

Ben "Bolt" Hardcastle was a Marine pilot who flew his plane hard and played his woman harder. Travelling around the world on missions with his buddies, Hollywood, Eagle and Ranger; he was living his life as he always wanted. Skye Stephens was as straight laced as they come; a hard-working advertising executive who had little time for fun and even less time for men. A purely accidental meeting between these two polar opposites at a bar one night; leads to Skye inviting Ben to do one thing that was so unlike her; have a one night stand. And it's once they are back at her apartment where the story begins to unravel. I loved this book and gave it 3.5 stars. Anyone who love a good old fashion girl tames wild boy story with a hint of marine in there needs to add this book to their TBR list asap!

Lacking the protection necessary to actually have a one night stand, Skye and Ben do everything but and wake up to an extremely awkward morning after; with Skye practically pushing Ben out the door. Ben is baffled since he is normally the one leaving the woman behind knowing he will never see him again but there is something different about Skye, she gets into his head. I think it was fate that he left his dogtags at her house, forcing him to see her again and actually agree to her dating for 30 days before sleeping together rule. Ben doesn't know how to be a boyfriend and Skye isn't always the best at letting her hair down and having fun, but together they are the perfect compliment to each other.

"Because if I can do this now, imagine what we'll feel like together."

Skye begins to let down her defenses and starts to fall for Ben, often questioning the validity of her 30 day rule. She even opens up to Ben about her mother and the mental issues that she struggles with. The caring way that Ben volunteers to spend time with her mom while she is at work when most guys walk away after knowing only makes her open up her heart more to him. It's after they finally make smoking hot love to each other when the other shoe drops. Ben has to deploy to Asia for 6 months; making Skye think that this relationship really was nothing more then sex to him. He fights to get her back and prove that he cares about her like he has never cared about a woman before and she decides to wait for him to come home, even after he told her that he couldn't ask her to do that. I actually swooned during that scene it was so completely romantic.

Although Skye worries about him flying, worries about him being faithful to her and worries if this is too much too fast; she loves Ben with all her heart. And when she gets the call that he gets two weeks leave and they can vacation anywhere she wants to go, she is absolutely elated to spend that time with him. The happily ever after was another completely romantically comical scene and fit this couple perfectly.

Fly is a sweet and romantic quick read. I wasn’t expecting how romance and sweet the story and the characters were actually going to get. I went into this think it was going to be a fun sexy read, which it definitely was, but the story was a lot more romantic than I thought it was going to be. I really enjoyed it. It was a nice surprise. T.A. Foster definitely knows how to write a romantic scene, let me tell you.

“She smiled, loving how it felt with Ben’s chest nuzzled against her back. She finally knew what it meant to fly.”

Skye Stephens has her entire life in order. She is trying to make a career in Advertising and once she gets a project she really wants it gets stolen from her. Skye and her friend decide to go to a bar close by which is already out of the norm for Skye. When her friend doesn’t show up a hot stranger takes her place. They hit it off and she brings him home. I really liked Skye. She had rules and she didn’t break them no matter how hot, sexy, or sweet Ben was to her. She made sure that they had a relationship that was more than a physical one. She was a really nice and caring person. She was willing to wait for him and I was so proud of her.

“Together.” He liked the sound of that. He didn’t know holding someone else in his arms could make him feel so whole and so alive. That was until he met Skye, and she taught him what it meant to fly.”

Ben “Bolt” Hardcastle is a pilot for a group called the Rebels. He has flown all over the world. He is a love ‘em and leave ‘em type. He has never seen what the big deal is when it comes to commitment and marriage. Until he has his one night stand with Skye. Ben wants to get to know Skye. He actually wants to date a woman and that is new territory for him. Bolt was such a sweet heart. Well, after he first screwed up with Skye he was. He finally realized that he wants all of it. The commitment, kids, and a white picket fence, all with Skye. He does the most romantic things to convince her it is more than sex. He really grows into a man that all of us readers will love.

“You know you’re mine, don’t you?”

This was a great story. The pacing was great and all of the characters felt real to me. Even though they had a pretty fast relationship everything felt genuine and real. The romance was real and it wasn’t cheesy. It was totally swoon-worthy. I would definitely recommended this book to everyone who loves their romance books. The book was a lot like the sex. Amazing foreplay that built you up for the fantastic climax at the end!

Check the dictionary under sweet, romantic read and I know that you will find this book. The romantic angle actually surprised me - I was expecting something more raw (after all, look at the cover). But, I soon discovered that it was exactly what I wanted…a book that captured my heart, made me love the characters and made me sigh over and over again. A true feel good romance at it’s finest.

This is a short book and I can’t decide if that’s an advantage or not. On one hand, it ended too soon and the ending did feel a bit rushed. I wanted to bask in their love a little bit longer. But, on the other side of the coin, the story’s natural flow would probably have felt wrong if too much more was added. So I guess that means it’s just right.

I loved both Ben and Skye. For the first time in a long time, I was happy to read about characters who, although they had their own struggles, weren’t bogged down with horrible pasts. These two weren’t broken, they were just missing something that they didn’t even know they needed. Ben is our playboy. Relationships aren’t for him, he’s not giving his heart away. Or so he thinks. He has a cool, sexy, fighter pilot exterior but I love that, unbeknownst to him, he wears his heart on his sleeve. Nothing better than a guy with a sexy swagger and a huge heart!! Skye is too busy to think about love, she’s got a career to worry about. She lives by her own rules and is strong enough to enforce them when necessary. They’re both happily living their lives but, when they meet, the sparks fly. Their chemistry is fantastic and the fact that she sets the terms for this romance sets this book apart from others.

If you’re looking for a quick read with wonderful characters and a love story worthy of a Hollywood romance, then this is the book for you. It’s perfect for a lazy afternoon…it’ll leave you smiling, sighing and content. At least that’s what it did for me. :)

***This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.***

FLY was a sweet story about a man, a woman, and a one night stand that sort of wasn’t.

I liked both of the main characters in this book. Ben was a fighter pilot who had two loves–flying and women. Skye was a woman who was married to her job, and when it took a turn for the worse and the opportunity to let go for the night presented itself, Skye siezed it! In true T.A. Foster fashion, these were even-keeled characters you could meet walking down the street. Nothing about them was over the top; they were just normal, everyday people going about their lives.

I really liked the pacing of this book; Skye and Ben’s relationship evolved perfectly. Though Ben was going from a womanizer to a one woman man, I never felt like he was pulled out of character. Everything he did stayed true to who he was. It didn’t feel like Ben was changing so much as we were getting to see another side of him.

The secondary characters in this book were fun to read about, too. I loved the camaraderie between Ben and his military buddies. It would be so much fun to spend a night at the bar watching them in action!

The sex scenes in this book were just the way I like them–hot and steamy! Ben and Skye had chemistry from the moment they met, and I couldn’t wait for them to finally be together!

I think the ending of this book could have been extended by fifty or maybe even a hundred pages. While the author definitely convinced me Skye and Ben were meant to be together, I think they were left with a lot of kinks in their relationship that needed to be worked out, and I would have liked to have read more about them. A follow up would definitely be welcome!

Overall, I thought FLY was a really nice read. I recommend this book if you are looking for a sweet, heartwarming story!

Bolt is a pilot jet fighter and as her nickname says , he is the type of guy to be a lightning bolt in bed and one of the guys that sleeps with a different girl in each place they are stationed. Why settle down with just one girl, when you can have a variety especially in a job like his when you never really know how long you will be in one place for. That is until, one night in San Diego he decides to drink at a different club where he meets Skye. She is a workaholic for an ad company and is drowning her sorrows in alcohol as the ad campaign that should have been hers, the one she did all the work for has been handed over to another person in their department. Bolt aka Ben meets Skye and for one night they pretend to be somebody they aren't - he pretends to be a pilot with Doctors without Borders and she of course pretends to be a sexy Librarian here for a book convention. As a librarian myself, I always find the whole sexy librarian book fantasy quite enjoyable to read and it does make me wonder really how many people have this weird-as idea and sexual fantasy about librarians. The two have an amazing sex-filled and talking night and the next morning prepare to go their separate ways, but Ben finds that there is something alluring about this one and that she is not his usual one-night stand material. Has the one-night stand pilot Ben finally found someone like Ranger who he wants to spend his life with ? Will Ben be able to change his ways especially when he spends time away from Skye ? Or will Skye realise that once a sleeper around, always a sleeper around ?

Skye Stephens is a campaign executive for an advertising agency. She spends all of her free time trying to climb the corporate ladder, which leaves her with no social life outside of work. After a very bad day at work, she heads to the bar to meet her friend and ends up meeting someone else.

Ben “Bolt” Hardcastle is a Marine Corps fighter pilot. With his good looks and all of his travels, he never spends more than one night with any woman. With an upcoming deployment, Ben isn’t looking for anything but his standard one-night stand but he ends up with a challenge.

Ben is trying to get Skye, but she has a no-sex for 30 days rule. Will Ben be able to hold out for her, or will the wait be too long?

I have to say, I couldn’t put this book down. I felt so connected with the characters I just needed to find out what would happen next in their relationship. I loved that Ben was trying to figure out Skye from the first moment that he saw her at the bar and he couldn’t comprehend why she was alone.

“She was a bundle of contradictions that he wanted to unwind.”

Skye and Ben’s relationship just seemed so real. They had their ups and downs in such a short period of time. I do think that Ben gave it such an incredible effort considering he had never had any dating experience. I have to say, I really want to read more about this couple. I felt that the ending was cut short for me. I wanted to learn more about Ben’s past and his family life, and where Ben and Skye end up. This was such an enjoyable read and I gave it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

3.5 Stars in my Sky!

Fly focuses on ad-exec Skye and fighter pilot Ben aka Bolt. The book is a short, sexy and sweet contemporary romance.

Skye meets Ben on a night out where they have instant chemistry. Bolt doesn't do relationships and Skye's too stressed with work to focus on much else. As sassy and likeable as she is, I actually felt like Bolt was more of the focus than Skye and I preferred his POV to hers (maybe it's the smut).

I liked Ben because he was actually far more romantic than I was expecting, at least when it came to Skye (he wasn't exactly romantic with his previous er...lady friends)! I have to admit that I loved the Top Gun vibe Ben and his friends had going on (I may have re-watched the movie after reading the book)! There were certain points when I couldn't believe he was THAT clueless, but others when he really surprised me. I was slightly suspicious of a certain friend of his, but I think that says more about me than the story.

I kept expecting something bad to happen; don't worry no spoilers here, I'll leave you to discover what happens...

I enjoyed Fly the characters made me smile. I would have liked more of the characters and to see what happened next. The insights into the pilot call signs and terms really added authenticity to the story and I liked the personal touch T.A. Foster included.

Skye Stephens is having a bad day. All her hard work is being handed off to another co worker. When she heads out to meet a friend for a drink, she ends up meeting Fighter pilot Ben “Bolt” Hardcastle. Her friends stands her up, and fate has lead her to meet a super hot fighter pilot. Bolt is not used to anything but one night stands in a different city every night. Somehow, he knows Skye is going to be different.

Bolt spends time with Skye, and he feels things. Things he has not felt before. He is not sure what the feelings are. Something has him wanting to come back for more. And it isn't about sex. It is more about spending time with Skye. Bolt loves doing things with her. Hanging out and talking, eating dinner, even taking care of her mom when she needs help. There is nothing he won't do for this women.

Skye makes Bolt a better guy. Bolt wants to make things work with Skye, but Skye is wanted about fighter pilots. They are always away on missions and has a knack for cheating. You just know these two are destined to be together.

Fly was a sweet love story that gave me the warm and fuzzes. I was is happy reading this book. It left me with a good feeling for the rest of the day. I like happy reads. I love T.A. Foster. This is her third book I have read and each of them leaves me happy. I kinda like a book that does that for you.

Bolt is one of those fly boys that doesn't do relationships. He can barely remember their names the next morning. Then Ben (his real name) meets Skye and his world is turned upside down. For the first time ever he is thinking about moving past a one night stand into the relationship zone and he really had no idea how to handle it.

Skye has a really bad day at work and goes to a bar to meet one of her friends. When her friend doesn't show up, Ben slides into her booth and right into her life. She hasn't really done the relationship thing either since not many have gotten past her 30 day rule, but there's something about Ben that makes her want to step into the next level with him.

I so loved these two together and watching them fall in love. Steamiest scene with whipped cream and a bit of imagination that didn't involve actually having sex. Yep! Hot! I adored Ben's romantic side that he wasn't so sure of yet. He's super sweet.

I really hope this is the beginning of a series as both Ben and Skye have some friends that need to find love too. Would love to see Hollywood and Faith get together.

I give Fly 4 hearts!

The trope of the playboy finally meeting that certain someone that he falls for is one of my faves, and this story fits the bill perfectly. The fact that he has to win her over on her terms instead of his own, well that just adds to the intrigue for this book.

Skye is a strong female character, and Ben ("Bolt") is your typical alpha male-sexy, strong and confident. The supporting characters add depth and they are the kind where you hope there will be more books coming to tell their stories as well-especially Faith who so very much deserves to find a happy ending.

I found this to be a very smooth read and it really kept my attention the whole way through. What kept me at a four star rating was the way the ending was done-it felt a bit incomplete. I would have liked to have seen an epilogue of some sort to help finish Skye and Ben's story out.

Overall a quick read with plenty of steam-even with Skye's dating rules-definitely an 18+ read. If you don't have this on your TBR yet, you'll want to put it there ASAP.

Full Review at: What's Beyond Forks?

Fly by T. A. Foster was a sexy, sweet romance. I love how we get to know Bolt before he meets Skye. It gives us a before and after look at him.. plus his transitions in between. Even though the story was a fast and fairly short read, there was a pretty thorough world built around these characters. They were easy to relate to, and they were fleshed out. Though both of them were strong, you could see their insecurities peek through at times. That adds to the believability. I was rooting for them from the beginning. They were pretty adorable.

The ARC of Fly by T. A. Foster was kindly provided to me by the author for review. The opinions are my own.

Ben "Bolt" Hardcastle is a fast talking, pilot who gets swept off his feet by Skye Stephens. Executive Skye Stephens believes in love and all that it entails. They are drawn together one night, in a chance meeting that doesn't quite go to plan but sets the scene for many interludes that shock both characters with more emotions swirling than they both bargained for. Ben and Skye's attraction appears genuine and draws the reader into their adventures and sentiments that has the reader sitting down to one pleasing read.

Wow, awesome book!

There have been quite a few new military romances of late that lived up to the hype, and this is definitely one of them. First off, this is my first T. A. Foster book and hopefully not her last one. We find Bolt a pilot who wants no attachments and Skye, an ad executive who one night in a San Diego bar. Both have plans for a good time but little do they know that it's with each other. Follow them thru ups and downs as they fall in love. All in all, I hope Ms. Foster write more about the Rebel squadron of Miramar, CA.

I have read this story as a bonus story from Violet Paige's Sidelined, and I loved it!!!

The characters are relatable, their chemistry is palpable, the dialogues are really good, the presentation is flawless, the scenes are sooo romantic and the story is memorable. I would love to read more of this couple, if not, the group.

There wasn't anything wrong with this book but to me it was just okay. They meet as a one night stand that doesn't really go according to plan. From then on it pretty much them dating with a few bumps in the road but nothing dramatic.

There is no cheating.
There is a HEA but there is no epilogue.
