I wanted to rate this higher. It started off well.

But sadly it gets messier and confusing as it goes on, both writing and art.

Bennett writes some decent narrative boxes and dialogue in some parts, but other parts are downright cringeworthy.

She then goes on to tick every Reddit and Twitter box on the list; OTT feminism, racism, non binary, misogyny, patriarchy - you name it, she’s crammed it in here. Every man, aside from the they/them kid is painted out to be a demon.

The Mom in question is a ‘what if Dexter killed people he disagreed with, based on his political views’ and it’s very difficult to think the writer doesn’t agree with this given she clearly sides with her main character thoughout.

This was weird (positive). It's very over the top in just about every aspect and at times I did struggle to follow along with what exactly was happening. There is a lot happening and so much of it is in this very self aggrandizing inner monolog from our unreliable narrator. Also quite a lot of gore. Not quite what i wanted from the story but it was interesting.

A fun, over the top one shot about a mom that will do what ever it takes to rise the social ladder and "protect" her community. There is some social commentary in here with some fun gore. It wasn't anything ground breaking but it was fun and provided some decent laughs.

… this was so disjointed I don’t even know if it was enjoyable.
