If you're a fan of superhero animes and magical girl mangas, this is the book for you. I got so many Sailor Moon and Shugo Chara vibes from this story that I kept expecting them to shout "In the Name of the Moon." This book is aimed at more middle grade and younger YA readers, so some of the action and dialogue can come off a bit cheesy if that's not your genre. The story was creative and fun to follow. I could visualize the world and all the action. My only major critique was some of the formatting made it hard to follow what was a thought and what wasn't. There were italics missing in places and they were sometimes in the dialogue tags which made it difficult at points to know when the thought/dialogue ended. Some of the battle move names did get repetitive, but overall this was a very easy story to read and would be a really fun anime or manga.

Loved the book. I ended up tearing up at the end which is always an indication for me it was good if it pulls strong emotions forward. My only issue is I gotta wait to get the second book next month.

𝑻𝒊𝒕𝒍𝒆: Stars of Destiny: Light

𝑴𝒚 𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘:
Stars of Destiny: Light penned by the author Melissa Stone is an intriguing story. Main character of the story is Elysium Valley High school teenager Dionne Archer. On her sixteenth birthday, she got a present from her nana Adelaide Forester. The gift is a mirror with a note saying -

"When you are alone and are certain you won’t be disturbed, look into the mirror and call upon Laira. She will answer you and give you further instructions."

Dionne called Laira with the help of the mirror. Laira explained to her that the snake man she saw earlier is one of the Lords of Chaos, a group that will do anything to destroy the universe. Dionne activated her sehashi uniform using the pendant. She even saved the lives of her friends Cory and Hatemi from Slither. Read this story to know Archer and why Slither wants her life.

Storyline is interesting. Pace of the story is fast and I couldn't put this book down until I finished it. Characters are well written by the author. I appreciate the author's vivid imagination in creating the fantasy world in the story. Language used in the book is simple. Teenagers would enjoy this story. I like to strongly recommend this book to my fellow readers.
