Twin Flames ~ Revised Edition: A Soul Mate Love Story

Rate this book
She’d never met him before, or had she?

The last thing forty-year-old Natalia Santagario expected was to be sitting on a Manhattan barstool, ogling a man she’s never met, but swears she knows.

He didn’t know her at all, or did he?

The mysterious dark-haired woman at the end of the bar stops twenty-eight-year old Marc Tremonti in his tracks. His head says she’s a stranger, but his heart tells him otherwise.

Together they embark on an adventure that will change their lives forever.

Marc’s aunt Mariella, an expert in reincarnation, persuades them to relive their past to help explain their enigmatic attraction. As they open the doors to their past lives, they discover they have been lovers for hundreds of lives, are connected by an ancient bond, and are considered Twin Flame soul mates.

But their reunion in this life is complicated by an almost ex-wife, a temporary bout of amnesia, and a mischievous and meddling ghost with its own agenda.

Will their strong connection find a way to bring them together? Or is this the lifetime where they must go their separate ways?

Anybody that reads romances regularly (or even those that don't) knows that a common theme, whether it is subtle or not so subtle, is the idea of soul mates. But one that isn't so common (at least to me) is that of "Twin Flame" soul mates. The idea of twin flame soul mates is that each person is one half of the same soul instead of just souls that are destined to be together.

I just loved this book. I'm not quite sure why it doesn't have a romance tag attached to it though, because the main storyline is the love story between two people. The elements used in this book are, quite obviously, extremely well researched and woven throughout the story in a seamless manner. It left me fascinated and wanting to learn more about twin flame soul mates.

Natalia is a very successful, independent woman. She runs a small vineyard, with the help of a close family friend and manager of the whole operation, and makes her own wine to sell locally. She has a few close friends to lean on but, with her family primarily out of the picture, she is on her own for the most part. She has also been hurt by a past boyfriend, so her friends talk her into a weekend in New York City where she meets Marc.

Marc, on the other hand, is surrounded by family - including an estranged wife. He is also twelve years younger than Natalia. When the two meet at his family's restaurant where he is bartending for the evening, there is an instant connection and chemistry between the two that confuses and frightens them a little.

Even though the chemistry is immediate, rather than something that is built up through the course of the book, the author did an excellent job by showing the reactions of the characters as being wary of the whole thing. They both resist the attraction they feel for each other, feeling like it's an infatuation that will pass. Throw in a meddling aunt and mischievous ghost though, and they don't stand a chance.

While they both have the same Italian background and love of food and wine, that's where the similarities seem to end. There seem to be so many things against this couple getting together that just about everything but the kitchen sink seems to stand in their way. Between the fact that they are from two entirely different types of areas (country vs. city), an age difference, a wife, a car accident and amnesia, it seems like they will never overcome the obstacles.

I loved how Ms. Christiana built the tension through this book. As I mentioned above, it wasn't a matter of building chemistry, that was there from the beginning, but rather a matter of building acceptance. The reactions and thoughts associated with them seemed completely believable and realistic to me. With so many things standing in their way, including themselves, by the end of the book you are left feeling like love can conquer anything and that there really is such a thing as two souls that are absolutely meant for nobody else but each other.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone and it is one that will go on my keeper shelf for sure. I will want to read this one again.

I found the book to be an intriguing page turner. When I wasn't reading it, which wasn't much. I found myself thinking about it and the ideas that spawn from it. The story line flows together seamlessly, so it didn't leave you with unanswered questions. The plot evolves quickly which begs you to read on. The two main characters of the story are Marc and Natalia. They are thrown together by circumstance or so the author would have you believe. She then introduces a meddlesome but lovable aunt who's intentions are always rooted in her love of the characters. At the beginning of each chapter were quotes from authors, poets, and extraordinary people from the past and present. Which made me wonder what was going to happen in the upcoming chapter. I loved the feelings that it would provoke.

When reading this book I looked back at my own life. The people that are and were in it. Wondering how long we have known each other? How many eons we have spent together? I loved the book from beginning to end. I thoroughly enjoyed all the questions that this novel inspired within myself. The feeling of knowing that I am connected to the people around me, here in the present , the past , and the future was like having a warm blanket wrapped around me. I definitely recommend this novel to anyone that loves a thought provoking romance.

I am not a romance reader, but I am a metaphysics aficionado. This is a solid book from first time author Debbie Christiana. She knows her spirit stuff. If you've ever read case histories from past life regression subjects, you'll see how thoroughly she creates a weave of lifetimes for her protagonists Marc and Natalia. The backdrop of their love story is a very supportive family network, and, since they're Italian, and winemakers, the food and wine flows. It is a life and love affirming story, and if you like romance, metaphysics, or better still, both, this is for you!

This is one of the best novels that I have read in a very long time. It was intriguing from start to finish and I found the characters and story line to be utterly captivating. I have heard of soul mates but prior to reading the book, I had never heard of twin flames. What an incredibly beautiful, romantic belief. The idea of reincarnation and lovers finding, loving, sharing, hurting and then losing one another over lifetimes, not just tugs but wrenches your heart . Ms. Christiana wrote a beautiful debut novel and I look forward to more from this author!

I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.

This is a fantastic paranormal romance that I struggled to put down! I loved it!

Natalia Santagario is a wonderful character. She is a very stubborn lady, and prefers to work on her vineyard than to socialise. She also has a friendly ghost as a companion. On a night out with friends, she meets Marc Tremonti and feels that she has met him before.

Marc Termonti is also a wonderful character. He is a fantastic chef, working in the family restaurant. He is also married, but when he meets Natalia, he feels an instant connection and is determined to figure out how and why.

This is a fantastic romance that captured my attention from the first page. Told from both Natalia's and Marc's point of view, it delves into the subject of reincarnation, past lives and the concept of twin flame soul mates. I don't know what to believe on the subject, because I have a war going on between my head and heart. My head says that there is no reincarnation, but the romantic in me would like to believe that we were put on this Earth for a purpose, and that we keep coming back until we get it right. What that purpose may be is a mystery to me, and I could become very philosophical. I think my heart is winning!
Reading this book, and seeing each of the lifetimes these two souls have met in, has me thinking of all the odd deja vu moments I've had, and contemplating that there has got to be something going on that defies logical explanations.
I enjoyed travelling through Natalia's and Marc's experiences, even though some of them are a little gruesome. I shed more than a few tears during some of the scenes, so grab a tissue just in case. Their love is eternal and their passion for one another is intense, but those scenes are hot without being explicit or erotic. I also enjoyed meeting Giovanna, Natalia's ghost. She seems to have her own agenda, but I found her to be extremely likeable.
The ending sent a little shiver up my back, but whether it was a good shiver or a bad one remains to be seen.

Debbie Christiana has written an amazing paranormal romance that transcends time. The subjects of past life regression and sleep disorders seems to have been thoroughly investigated and researched, which gives the story an authentic feel. I am not sure whether the author is writing another book with these same characters or not, but I am looking forward to reading more of her books in the future. I highly recommend this book if you love paranormal romances. - Lynn Worton

May contain spoilers!!!
I was given an e-copy in exchange for my honest review.

This book grabbed my attention from the very beginning. I have always had infatuation with past lives and the concept of soul mates. I found myself connected to the characters and their stories.

The main characters in this book are Natalia Santagario and Marc Tremonti. The story is about finding your soul mate, past lives, reincarnation, romance, and a little of the paranormal. Natalia runs into Marc in a crowded restaurant. She has the strange feeling that she knows him from somewhere, so happens, Marc has the same feeling about her. Finding out how they know each other and why they seem to have a connection is all both of them can think about. In this installment, you will follow along in their journey to get the answers they so desperately need.

I love this story. I really appreciated the research the author did on sleep therapy and past life regressions. I am a strong believer in what is meant to be will happen. There are times when fate needs a little push to speed things along, which plays a huge part in this storyline. I caught myself trying to figure out what roles the other characters may have played in past lives. The one regret I have is that I have my suspensions on whom some of the characters may have been in a past life, but they aren't all answered in this installment. I am hoping that I will get my answers in a following installment. This story made me laugh, cry, and a few times I found myself a little frustrated with some of the characters.

I did see a few editing mistakes. They were very minor, but yes, there are some. I don't use editing issues to deduct from a rating, unless it causes an issue with the storyline or the flow of the storyline. In this book, the editing issues did not cause any issues, they were very minor.

I highly recommend this book and I look forward to reading the next installment.

Book contains some adult situations.

If you don’t believe in soul mates, you will after reading Twin Flames by Debbie Christiana. This paranormal romance novel is about a couple who has known each other for over a hundred lifetimes and the adventures they go through in order to be together in this lifetime. I fell in love with the connection between the spunky smart ass Natalia and the cool, level headed Marc who were immediately drawn to each other when they first met.
Twin Flames reinforced my belief in soul mates, especially with the fantastic soul mate quotes at the beginning of each chapter, and introduced me to the term 'twin flames' which I found to be a fascinating concept.
The past life regressions that Natalia and Marc experienced were like mini stories within a well structured bigger story. The fact that they could remember all of their previous lives when the session ended actually made me want to undergo regression to find out about my own past lives. That’s how I know a book is really good, I’m compelled to do the things that the characters do.
The portrayal of the love and passion between Natalia and Marc was heart stirring. The characters had a love that transcended time and this made their love in this current time even stronger and yet concurrently fragile. The supporting characters were entertaining and the links between them were were surprising. The involvement of a ghost was interesting, I never thought I’d like the presence of a ghost so much. The book had me laughing out loud, frustrated at points and hungry for Italian food (and a hot Italian man, wink wink).
Debbie Christiana has woven a spectacular tale of love and time that I am pleased to recommend to everyone I know because it was just that good. I just wish I could have seen that compelling birthmark, I don’t think my imagination did it justice.

Past lives, Soul Mates and a very modern love story all come together in this book to create an amazingly wonderful book, that is a must read if you love any of them – or all of them like me! Mrs. Christiana does a wonderful job of immediately drawling into her books seemly real life charters. Not only does she take the time to develop the relationship between Natalia and Marc, which comes with some complications, but also she gradually and naturally intertwines the lives of the others around the two into the story. One of these characters is Marc’s Aunt Mariella who uses her highly tunes powers of persuasion to get the two to look a little deeper into their almost magnetic attraction with a past life progression. What the two see find is not just this lifetime of a deep need to be together but many life times of being together. Ms. Christiana clearly spent time researching different periods of time for the two of them to journey back to. While the past life progression brings answers it is not able to help them over come the existing problem that keeps them from being together. Shortly after another is piled on as one of them loses their memory of the other all together.
This story will not only draw you into it and the lives of Nat and Marc but it will make you second guess that feeling of Déjà Vu or that sometimes feeling that you know a person that you see across the room.

This was truly a fantastic book. Twin Flames captured my attention from the first page and held it til the very end. Natalia is a forty-something living in Connecticut running her family's vinyard and winery. Marcos is a renowned chef who runs his family's restaraunt in New York City. While visting the city with her two best friends, Natalia meets Marc at his restaraunt. Both feel an immediate and unexplainable familiarity with each other. Everytime there skin touches the other, they feel an electric current that they know is not normal. After a few meetings together, it is undeniable that there is some type of connection and both become obsessed in their own ways with finding out what this connection is. Through the insistence of Mariella, Marc's aunt that raised him, Natalia and Marc decide to try a past-life regression to find out what makes them so drawn to each other. What they discover far surpasses anything they could have ever imagined. Twin Flames is quite romantic in an "old-soul" kind of way. Being in different places in their lives, Natalia and Marc decide to go their own seperate ways. That is, until an accident throws their lives into a tail spin. Through tragedy, a manipulative (in a good way) aunt, and a very persistent ghost, Giovanna, Natalia and Marc find their way back home, where they were always destined to be.

If past life regression and reincarnation is your interest, you'll enjoy reading "Twin Flames". Which also is a terminology in the field of the study, two souls who shared many past lives and keep finding each other again and again. Even when the odds are against them, once one finds the other, they are instantly drawn together and no force can keep them apart. This is what happens to the main characters Marc and Natalia. The moment they saw one another they are not just attracted to one another, it goes deeper, they know intimate details of each other. The kind that no souls knows about, like Marc's birthmark he thinks of ugly and hides it from the world, yet Natalia not only knows about it, she doodled it on the napkin in perfect detail). Together, they undergo the past life regression session and the reader is taken on a roller-coaster of emotions of all the hardships the two endured throughout centuries. But when an accident wipes off his memory, Natalia makes a difficult decission to leave Marc to try and salvage his crumbling marriage. I hope what I had to say so far tickle you fancy and you'll give "Twin Flames" two thumbs up just like you should.

A unique love story about "soul" mates. When Natalia met Marcos (Marc) there was a strange "shocking" connection between the two, especially when she unknowingly sketches his hidden birthmark. Marc is more obsessed with her and getting to know the answers, though he doesn't yet believe in reincarnation. It is a well-written, well-developed story and the characters are warm and interesting. The discovery of the connection and soulfulness is a wondrous journey. The writing brings a great connection between the characters, making the story completely believable. If you are not a believer in reincarnation and soul mates, this story will make you believe. It's inspirational and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a good romance/soul mate story.

I really enjoyed this book. The whole concept of being fated over lifetimes intrigued me. Throw in a heroine who is my age, an apparition, and a crazy aunt and I was hooked. I think what I liked most about this book was not discovering their past lives together, although that was very fascinating, but the way the characters each dealt with the current situation. If I were to tell you some of the choices they made and you had not read the book you would think they were, basically, fools. Put those decisions in the context of the complete picture and they totally make sense. This story was fresh, different, and well developed. I am looking forward to reading more from her.

I fell in love with this book. Debbie Christiana wrote a great book. I couldn't put it down. Will be definitely reading more of this authors books.

This book has a lot of twist and turns that I didn't expect. From a temperamental ghost that won't stop til she gets her way. To an Aunt that tends to push things into motion faster than anyone is ready for.

The humor had me laughing, The sad parts had my heart breaking. I don't want to say to much more because I don't want to give anything away. I will just say that if you haven't read this yet. You should. You will not be disappointed.

Debbie Christiana has written a beautiful tale. Twin Flames revolves around two people bonded with everlasting love and devotion. Christiana weaves a story of Natalia and Marc being reincarnated in history. Through hardship, turmoil, and lost lives, Natalia and Marc manage to rediscover themselves with that special spark of electricity.

Their little invisible friendly ghost, Giovanna is particularly enjoyable and added to the perfect ending.

Even though I completed Twin Flames over a month ago, it continues to tug at my heart strings.

Romance and past lives; a powerful duo!

That moment of kismet…when you’re pulled to a stranger and can’t explain the sense of feeling they’ve been by your side forever. Twin Flames is about soul mates through the passing of time. Ms. Christiana writes the scenes of hypnotic transgression with amazing skill, weaving together past and present beautifully. If you find the idea of past lives intriguing and love a romance, then check out Twin Flames.

I really, REALLY loved the idea of hypnotic regression in this story and the notion of soul mates (or "twin flames") transcending time to meet again, generation after generation. Natalia and Marc are one of these fated couples and I enjoyed their (bumpy!) journey to discovering who and what they are to one another. Peeking into their past lives was fascinating and the ghost "haunting" Natalia is quite entertaining (and more involved than I thought!). I loved the strong sense of family in this novel (and, you know, wine) with the hysterical bits of humor in between the pages. Natalia can be tough at times but she can't resist Marc (who can blame her?) and I enjoyed watching their relationship grow. If you're into history, metaphysics and romance, check out this debut novel--you won't regret it!

The vast (and I mean vast) number of errors in this book made me think this is a self published work, but then I noticed it has a publisher. So I had to research them and this is what it says on thier page. "We are committed to producing well-written, properly-edited books and to providing both experienced and debut authors an outlet for their works they might not otherwise have." I find this laughable since in this book the editors don't seem to know the difference between your and you're or we're and were. New authors should do their research and read a book or two from the publisher they are considering signing with before putting their name on the dotted line. Had this book received half decient editing as it rightfully deserved, it could have been a very good story.
