Roth and I are on an open-ended tour of the world. Roth being Roth, this means missionary in Morocco, reverse cowgirl in Calcutta, bent over the bow of a houseboat in Hanoi, slow and sleepy on St. John. Anywhere and everywhere, in every conceivable position, and some I didn't know were possible. Life was pretty incredible. Until I woke up in his chateau in France, alone. On the bed next to me was a note. There were only four words: He belongs to me.

Ugh!
It may be just me, but this series is a big disappointment.

Here's my Peeves for this book - I guess I'm just going to rant for a while, so if that's not your thing...look away...read someone elses review.

Although I believe everyone thought this was a two book series, it was left with a HUGE cliffhanger and a note from Jasinda saying -

I know it leaves questions unanswered, especially since another book isn't immediately forthcoming.

Even if there is another book, I don't think I could bring myself to read it.
I REALLY did NOT want to finish this book, but I paid 6 bucks for it, so I figured I had to. It is available on Kindle Unlimited now. As a purchase? These are 99 cent books TOPS

I would recommend this to no one.

Wow!! BETA was INTENSE. The story takes over where ALPHA ends, grabs a hold of you, and won't let go. I couldn't wait to find out what happened next! Not only was it suspenseful and intriguing...it was HOT!!! HOT! I love Kyrie and Roth. Their journey is tested while their love and need for one another is never questioned.

Definitely read ALPHA first...then once you do...do not pass go..READ BETA

This wasn't quite what I was expecting, and I wasn't sure how realistic it was. I also thought that Kyrie could have been a bit more understanding

4.5 UNEXPECTED TWISTS STARS!

description

Wow, what an unpredictable story this was! Beta was pure suspense from beginning to end that I never saw anything coming the way it did. When things unfolded throughout the story I was left feeling all kinds of shocked, heartbroken, delighted, relieved, content, and hot in the only exquisite way that Jasinda can delivers hot-romance. Indeed this was a very seductive story but it was also a very strong one. A story about love, endurance, and vengeance that may not be for the fain-hearted only because it will really surprise you and take you on a thrilling ride full of unexpected twists!

I read Alpha, the first book in this series and I loved it. I loved that it was pure mystery and that really absorbed me into the story. Now, with Beta the component of this story is the unbreakable suspense. That suspense is wrapped around scorching passion and an intense need to fight for love over anything even life. I found and felt that theme to be quite consuming and beautiful and that's why I got to love this book too. Note that Beta picks up where Alpha ended so it's recommended that you read it first.

This book brings back Kyrie and Roth and their insatiable love and fire like never before. Their chemistry is in sync more that ever and their future only looks more promising with every passing day as they travel the world. That's until Roth's past comes back and hits them with such force that it shatters absolutely everything in their way forcing them to fight or die.

"The wind whistling through the shattered back window was evidence enough that this was no joke and that each choice I made from this moment on would determine whether I lived or died."

This is where the suspense starts and things get more and more intense. So intense that I felt heart-wrenching and gut-twisting emotions. Yes, these two characters endure some of the worst hardships which made me want scream, cry, and hide. But as tough as their situations felt like I couldn't stop reading because I was addicted to the suspense and the drama and I needed to know what was going to happen next.

"I felt nothing. All emotions, all senses were switched off, shoved down, and I tried to pretend I was in a movie, that this was all pretend, but I couldn’t. Not totally. I had a gun, too, but I didn’t dare draw it. Couldn’t, wouldn’t, not unless I was ready to shoot and kill, and I knew I wasn’t."

When things settle for a little bit, Kyrie and Roth are left picking up the pieces after the destruction they just lived through but it's not easy to mend two utterly broken hearts. There's so much guilt, shame, and raw pain between them that their love becomes really fragile. This is the part of the story I found it the most heartbreaking because since I've known these characters they've always been strong and relentless so it was tough to see them in such deep struggles. Fortunately, there would never be a Jasinda's book if there wasn't hope to come to the rescue and Beta wasn't the exception. So in the mist of their torment, Kryie and Roth find strength in their intense love for each other.

"God, the touch of her lips, the soft heat of her flesh against mine, her presence, calm and comforting, the love and the hope and the determination exuding from her…I soaked all this up and let it spread like a healing salve over the wounds within me."

Then the suspense continues and it takes more unexpected twists that kept me on the edge the entire time. There was more action, bravery, and fear and all with the purpose to defend each other and to fight evil not only with justice but with vengeance. This is where a lot of the strength of this book comes from, I think. The fact that these characters are in no way victims, they're fighters all the way to the end so you'll see them put everything on the line to protect each other. I loved that about them, such a powerful and remarkable love they share that gives them all the motivation and courage to continue on.

"We both needed to know, regardless of the hell we’d endured, regardless of what was still coming, that Kyrie was mine, and I was hers, and we would have each other and be okay."

This book starts with suspense so it ends in suspense. Things are not completely resolved by the end but things do get contained so Kyrie and Roth are left feeling content and ready for what lies ahead. Because as long as they have one another they'll be happy and nothing will ever break them apart.

“As long as I know you love me, and that you want me, and that you don’t—that you don’t…regret…us, I’ll be okay. We’ll be okay somehow. One day at a time."

Just another fantastic book by Jasinda! This action packed, super hot, and suspense infused story is a read that should not be missed by all lovers of Alpha. And if you haven't read Alpha and you love a good a story with exquisite hot passion and intense mystery, well, that's your book! This series will leave you wanting more of this strong-sexy-consuming couple with every book for sure.

Favorite Quotes:

“Valentine. I’m here.” I collapsed to my knees, rested my head on the pillow beside his. Put my palm to his feverish cheek. “Why?” “Because I love you.”

“Is love enough?”
“It has to be,” I said. “It has to be."

"She came back, and she pushed me. Gave me life back. Healed me. Made me believe in love. I’d told her I loved her, but I hadn’t known what love was. I needed her. Wanted her. But love? What was that? I didn’t know. She’d taught me. She was still teaching me."

"Her sensual beauty cut through my fears, her blatant need for me shredded my confusion, and the vulnerability in her eyes slashed away my doubt."

"I gde god bih pogledala, nailazila sam na njega koji mi govori da me voli. On, Valentajn Rot, predivni, izvajani, talentovani, neizmerno bogati biznismen. Voleo me je.

I actually clicked DNF about 28% into the book because I couldn't stand reading about a certain thing that happens throughout the first 20% of the book. It was extremely detailed and I just didn't really enjoy reading about it. I ended up picking up the book a few hours later and skimming until I got to the point where they're reunited. From there on it was more enjoyable and quite frankly some of the steamiest sex scenes I've read in a while. I'm still confused about whether there's going to be a third book or not. Not sure I'm invested enough at this point to continue with the story anyway.

MICHELLE'S REVIEW

I received an ARC for an honest review.

Whatever you're thinking is going to happen in this book- forget it because it's probably wrong. Are you scared? You should be.

Jasinda shows us, once again, that she is a damn good writer. Not good- great. This book blew me away from start to finish.

I can easily say this was one of my favorite books from the Wilder World. It was packed full of suspense from chapter 1.

I should warn you that there are themes in this book you will not be expecting. I wasn't. If rape or torture are triggers - be cautious. Yea. It goes there. And again- don't try and figure it out because you won't be able to.

The level of depravity in this book is something I have not seen before. At least not from Jasinda. Would I call it dark? Yes- to me- this is a dark read. But there is serious love and friendship and don't fear- That hot sex you loved in Alpha? It's still here. But there is so much more that is going to draw you in and keep you there.

Some of you may get to the end and want more. I know I did. But this book ends with a happy ending. I think the ending could be considered an open ending but ultimately you get a happy ending.

Now I do have my fingers crossed that we'll get more Harris...

Read. This. Book.

This is Jasinda's best work yet. It's everything you're wanting and nothing you're expecting. Get ready.

Jasinda Wilder flips the story unexpectedly in this suspenseful page turner designed to get your heart racing from the very beginning.

This story is not what you expect. It doesn’t go down the path you think it would. Jasinda Wilder manages to surprise me by flipping the story onto its back and it totally works. She flipped a trope in a way I didn’t expect and in a way that shed light on Roth’s behavior in Alpha. In fact, I enjoyed this book much more than its predecessor, which surprised me, given that I loved the first book too. The characters felt better developed, the connection between our two protagonists believable and richer, the story line well paced. I loved that she kept the sexy backbone of the story, but I felt as if this sequel focused more on the characters, their past and the feelings that sparked and coursed between them. In addition, the suspense was utterly addictive as my heart raced anxiously through some harrowing and chill-inducing scenes. The story darkens and there were aspects of it that were hard to read from a character experience perspective, but I thought the way she brought awareness to a topic explored was rather bold.

“And everywhere I looked there he was. Telling me he loved me. Him, Valentine Roth, gorgeous, ripped, talented, gazillionaire businessman. He loved me. And he never got tired of telling me, showing me, making sure I knew I belonged to him.”

Kyrie and Roth had been living their happily ever after. Their time spent devouring each other between the sheets as well as globe-trotting to a new, exciting place each time the sun rose. But one day, Kyrie wakes up to an empty bed… a cold and chilling emptiness made worse by a knife and a note… He belongs to me.

“You are mine, my dearest Valentine. I want you at my mercy. I want you squirming and begging. So beg, Valentine. Beg me to stop.”

Roth’s absence unearths truths that were buried… dark truths Kyrie is shocked to discover. And suddenly, bullets rain all around her as danger pursues and she’s swept into a new reality she couldn’t begin to imagine.

I don’t want to spoil anything for you at all, so I’ll cease the major plot points there. There’s a great deal of action, some heavy emotional issues and tons of suspense. This book really does have a different feel to it and I think lots of people will really enjoy this second installment. The only thing I battled with was the ending. Jasinda chose to end in an intriguing way (a perspective she explains), yet I would have loved to see a more tightly closed conclusion given the circumstances IF the series ends here, if it does not, it’s really rather perfect and a solid 5-star read. You guys will have to weigh in once you read the suspenseful continuation of Roth and Kyrie’s story. I assure you, you’re in for a ride!

“You belong to me, Kyrie St. Claire. That is true now and that will always be true.”

Sooooo... A random sequel has popped out of nowhere! Didn't see that coming

Alpha sucked for me, even though the blurb was soooo promising it tanked.
It was only SEX and that too too much of it with NO story.

But I think I'll give this one a chance too and see how it goes...

There was so much to know and love about this book and Jasinda Wilder stepped things up a notch with this one. In the first book we see the strong connection these two have and there is more than enough smexiness. They definitely explore things in their relationship. At the start of Beta, they are traveling all over the world and having a blast. But our heroine, Kyrie wakes up one morning and discovers Valentine is gone with a note with blood on it "He Belongs To Me" and she is on the run for her life. With the help of Valentine's friend she manages to escape and they start to track down the location of Valentine. And they discover who is behind it, a crazy and insane woman who will do anything to have Valentine. A woman scorned, Gina (who is literally a woman that needed to be put down years ago). No seriously she is crazy. She pretty much rapes and tortures Valentine and some methods I wasn't a fan of even waterboarding which was pretty intense and not my thing to read in a book. Now Valentine goes through a rough time here. But its not over after he has been rescued. The plot really kicks in and man it never ends and boy was it dang good!! I liked the first book, it was more smooth and slow build up. But now we get into the action and mystery and suspense that this author brings to the story. And I adored the character growth. We don't see all that much from our hero to be honest. We do see how he deals with the trauma and its a tough road for him.
We both needed to know, regardless of the hell we’d endured, regardless of what was still coming, that Kyrie was mine, and I was hers, and we would have each other and be okay.

Our heroine though, she kicks ass!!! Like seriously she really steps up here and does what needs to be done to save her man. And I liked that we have multiple POV. Both from Valentine and Kyrie, but then at the end here we are given a bit of a cliffhanger with the villain of book three. You see, its Gina's father, and its more a matter of family honor more than anything, you see how he doesn't want to go after our couple, but will have to. Yeah I have a feeling book three will be pretty intense and I can't wait to see what happens!!! Beta is an edgy, intense filled romance that packs a punch and leaves you breathless!!!

“Yes, you do. I’m yours. I’m here with you. I’m doing this willingly. I’m here because I want to be. You’re inside me because this is what I want. Take me…. Take me, Valentine.”

This is a must read for any Wilder fan! As always Jasinda's words jump off the pages, pulling every possible emotion out of you. With Jasinda you will always get a beautifully written story and this one is no different. Jasinda has given us an edge of your seat read! Tipping the balance between fear and excitement, Beta, is a body aching adrenaline rush of excitement and passion. Alpha was seductively sizzling, but Beta will leave you scorched!

Beta will push you to the edge and leave you a little uncomfortable. These uncomfortable moments only add to the beauty of the story. Both Roth and Kyrie are pushed to their limits and come back swinging. Their journey is not to be missed.

“We had no need of voices to say the truth in that moment, for we were linked mind and body and soul, attuned, attached. One. Merged. Enmeshed. A tree growing from one root, split into two trunks, entwined and woven one around the other, reaching together heavenward.”

Well hmmm where to begin with this one. I really liked it, it was crazy and intense. Have to think on it a little more....full review to come.

I will say that ending just can not be the ending....please. I want more time with these characters or even stories from the other side characters, for example Harris. That ending just made me sad:(

Ahhhmazing, HOT, nail biting, thrilling, action packed read full of suspense from beginning to end. I could not put it down!

This is one of those reads that keep you up all night because as soon as you put it down it is running through your mind and the next thing you know you're picking it right back up because you must know what happens next.

In Alpha we were whisked away to a kinky world of Valentine Roth.

The chemistry between Kyrie and her mysterious secret benefactor was panty dripping explosive.

The mystery behind the why was handed to us readers slowly and seductively.

All came together in the end and you were left breathless and satisfied.

IN BETA "The predator becomes the prey."

As you came to know all the mysterious secrets that unfolded in Alpha ,

BETA consequences of Roth's past are served to breaking point of which , no one will ever be the same again.

There is no slow and seductive pace to this read. Its fast and heart pounding!

Will they make it out? Can they find the passion? Will they both survive?

Harris definitely wins our heart for his supporting role in BETA.

Strength, trust, dedication and loyalty are some of Harris's strong points.

I really hope there is more on Harris to come!

Kyrie and Roth's world is tested in every physical and emotional way possible.

Though their chemistry and devotion are unwavering, they are put to the ultimate test.

Don't miss this amazing erotic suspense sequel in the Alpha series!

92% then nada! Roll credits. This is half a story guys, review to follow.....

The story starts with Valentine and Kyrie (Alpha) traveling the world. Every morning she gives him her own unique wake up call but one morning in France she wakes up to an empty bed. Knowing there has to be something wrong and only four numbers she can think of, for help she calls Harris.

Meanwhile, Valentine is being held captive by his old boss/warlords deranged daughter and once girlfriend Gina.

Trying not to give anything specific away this has plenty hot scenes, romance, fighting demons and action. OTT car chasing, shoot em up, bloody crazy-which were all my fav bits to be honest cuz I still couldn't take to the H/h like in the last book. But what they went through, especially Valentine, I felt for them/him!
It's not a stand alone, this finished on a bit of a cliffy and judging by secondary characters there could be multiple options (Harris) for even more/future book[s] but I'm only guessing.

Thanks to the author, I was allowed to read an ARC of this book. Let me just say that this book blew me away! It was totally not what I expected. I have read a good bit of Jasinda Wilder's work and this was different from all that I have read before. The hotness is definitely still there but this is a darker read. There is still a lot of love and loyalty in the book but you there are multiple dark situations that explore tougher subjects that may not be for everyone. If you can't handle reading about torture and rape, then you may want to stay away. If you can handle those subjects in getting to an overall love story, then by all means, read this book. Mrs. Wilder never ceases to amaze me. Just when you think you know what to expect from her, she surprises you. This is an awesome book that leaves you wanting more.

I just can't .. This book ughhn . So effing thrilling, I almost died of excitement. So many twists, so much history, so much pain and so much love. Kyrie was so brave and so strong, I just love her and Valentine, he was a big sweetheart (my opinion). This book is MY FAVORITE. Alpha was an amazing start, an amazing start for an amazing journey, journey of love and pain. And I am glad I could be a part of that. I wish that Jasinda writes another book, because this ending doesn't seem like an ending to this perfection.

5 Star Review by Allison East

Take all the thoughts you had about this book- and throw it out the window- seriously. Whatever you were thinking was going to happen, walked out the door- pretty quickly. There is a disclaimer for a reason. ***This book contains sexual scenes and situations that may make some readers uncomfortable.

It didn’t make me uncomfortable, it did make me say WTF (torture and rape are classically written into romance novels usually). So it did make for a bit of a darker side to Mrs. Wilder. And I think she handled it perfectly. I went into the book not knowing it was going to turn from erotica, to erotica suspense. And that’s exactly what happened.

The book followed Roth and Kyrie again as they made their way around the world, traveling from place to place. They settle in France and the unthinkable happens- Roth is taken. Literally, kidnapped. I wanted to die. And because I am emotionally attached to these characters, I could feel the real pain Kyrie was feeling over this. The anguish in her heart that the kidnappers stole him in the middle of the night while she was lying next to him asleep. Leaving behind a mysterious note that stated, rather cryptically “He belongs to me.”

I remember reading the first chapter called “Waking Up,” and how it had become one of Kyrie’s favorite games- who would wake up first and if it was her, it was her job to help him wake up in the best way. And if Roth woke up first- he would pretend to be asleep, just to have Kyrie wake him up. And it goes from being so excited to waking up with one another- to so devastated and the search began.

After that quasi-normal chapter- it turns into a bit of a cluster! Car chases, crazy killer ex-girlfriends (this wicked witch, puts the devil to shame) an amazingly written suspenseful plot, the mobsters, torturing, bloodbaths, rape (not the way you are envisioning at all)- and more!

This is a dark read, but the best part about Jasinda’s writing is- all of the darkness fades away, when you get to the heart and light of the story- Roth and Kyrie. Their story is what kept me going, I always have to know more about them. I’m not sure what it is that draws me to their story- but I have always wanted them to have a happy ending and live together forever. And I realize while it all can’t be unicorns and rainbows- I had to hold out hope, that they were going to eventually be safe- and have an HEA.

Just when you think that Jasinda can’t do it- she does it. And when you think she can’t dream it, she writes it. I was on pins and needles from the very first pages, to the very last. And while it was somewhat of a dark read- trust me, underneath the hard stuff- its worth it to give it a go. It proves that not only is Jasinda a good writer- she is a GREAT writer. I have always been a huge fan of her stuff- her serial novels, the Big Girl series, Wounded and Captured, the Ever trilogy, the Falling series, and the Stripped series, she can do no wrong and can write it all. So please, do yourself a favor- read Alpha and Beta, and pray she continues the GREEK series, with Gamma or some other Greek letter, and gives us MORE MORE MORE!!!

Title: Beta
Author: Jasinda Wilder
Genre: Erotic romance
Type: Book 2 of Alpha series
POV: First person - dual
Rating: 4/5

Roth’s past demons came back to haunt him. He was taken while she was asleep and the only person Kyrie had to turn for help was Harris the ex Army Ranger/bodyguard/driver. Together, they formed a two person team to search and rescue Roth who was taken by an old associate/enemy.

After Roth was rescued, she wanted to send Kyrie away to safety but she wouldn’t listen. She wanted to fight his enemy right beside him.

“He has an empire, Kyrie. Access to literally everything. A small army, and that’s no exaggeration. He can wield tanks. Rocket launchers. And we’ve got…Harris.”

After his rescue, things between Kyrie and Roth changed. He was traumatized to what was done to him and what he did to Kyrie.

“I feel like…like something is broken between us.”

And what happened to him with Gina in the past explained his need for control later in his life. It took him an encounter with someone who “demanded” something from him to “see the light”.

“And I decided to embark on a quest. Instead of taking pleasure, I would give it. Under my terms, under my control.”

Well, that explained why he was downright vicious in giving Kyrie orgasms (after orgasms without him getting off) in Alpha. I thought it was ridiculous then. I'm still not convinced.

The book started with heart thumping actions – car chasing, gun blazing, explosions shattering The first 40% was exciting with the places they went to - France, Greece, Egypt. I enjoyed reading about their adventures.

After the 50% mark, the book pace really suffered a downturn. The after shower sex scene after they went back to New York was dragged way too long! It’s words after (unnecessary) words after (insignificant) words… It took practically the whole chapter.

And I thought it was finally over, but as soon as the next chapter started, they started again! I understand the need to add quiet/tender moments in the middle, but it was too long and too slow. I’m not complaining about too many sex scenes (because really there were not many) but the scenes would be tighter if it was done with less wordy descriptions. Sometimes hard and fast get the job done better (pun partially intended).

Thank goodness after 60% it picked up again. They were being too complacent and had to pay for it. That’s when the story shifted again. This time however, they were more prepared to deal with the threat.

The ending… I’m can’t really decide if I like it. I would like it if the author was sure of coming up with book 3 because I really want to see the confrontation with Vitaly since I have a sense that he cared about Roth. But alas, she has left that decision open for now.

Note: I love that old man Henri!

Beta
5 Stars|Amazon|Goodreads|Giveaway
Jasinda has done it again. Beta takes us on a wild ride that leaves you grasping for more in the world of Roth and Kyrie.
Favorite Quote: "No one ever said my name the way she did. My last name, on her lips, during love like this, was a prayer, a whispered plea and a term of unfathomable endearment."

Life has been good for Roth and Kyrie. Until it isn't. The past always comes back calling even if your bought you tied up all your loose ends. Roth's past is calling, and he wasn't given a choice about answering.  Gone. Roth is Gone, and all that Kyrie has to go on it a note left in his place.

I am attempting to leave this review spoiler free, but since the synopsis gives you very little, I am treading lightly as well.

With Roth kidnapped, Kyrie is on the hunt. She may not know much about his past, or the things you need to survive in it, but she will learn, and fast.

This novel is about survival. How long can you survive, and what will you do to ensure you don't completely shatter yourself in the process. Roth and Kyrie have been to the depths and back with each other and with a journey like that there is darkness to overcome.

Beta

Jasinda WOWS again with this novel. I was a huge fan of Alpha and about jumped over the moon when I heard that Jasinda was giving us another novel in this universe. A novel that literally has you on your toes with anticipation and suspense from cover to cover. Roth and Kyrie are one of those couples that you can't help but want to know more about. This novel wrecks havoc on your emotions and solidifies your addiction to this world and its characters.

Is it to early to start begging for a third novel?
Amy's Review:

Pretty sure "Jasinda" should be made into catch phrase! I would use it like this: "I am about to Jasinda the hell out of you" and would mean "I am about to shock/excite/entice the hell out of you"  FLAT OUT!

Beta is an amazing follow-up to Alpha. I was honored to receive an ARC of Beta by Jasinda and dove into it right away. Excitement flooded my veins just imagining what Roth was up to. I knew 100% Kyrie and Roth would be seriously entertaining, but I was not at all ready for what transpired in this fantastic book.

Kyrie and Roth are totally living the life. Sailing around on cruise ships, traveling via private jets, dining and romancing in ports and cities all over the world. To me, this sounds like a fairy tale! But knowing Roth's crazy past I should have seen something coming. I should have known that my world was going to be rocked and somehow I was shocked by this book.

Everything I normally steer clear of in a book, this book had, and Jasinda made me crave it. Kyrie turned into tough girl, beast mode, and I wanted to BE her. Roth turned inward and was almost boy like, almost nervous and unsure of himself.

I loved the additional back story Beta provided to Roth's earlier life. I loved that Kyrie's strength was showcased in Beta. I love the fact that Jasinda can produced absolutely killer material every.single.time.

Synopsis:
Roth and I are on an open-ended tour of the world. Roth being Roth, this means missionary in Morocco, reverse cowgirl in Calcutta, bent over the bow of a houseboat in Hanoi, slow and sleepy on St. John. Anywhere and everywhere, in every conceivable position, and some I didn't know were possible.

Life was pretty incredible.

Until I woke up in his chateau in France, alone. On the bed next to me was a note. There were only four words:

He belongs to me.

Beta by Jasinda Wilder is the sequel to Alpha. It is quite different from Alpha and came as a complete surprise. I was thoroughly hooked from the first paragraph until the very end. When I finished, I wanted more ! I cannot to see what happens next.

Beta is a much darker book than Alpha and cannot be read as stand alone novel. Alpha sets the perimeters for Beta. Beta is more of an erotic romantic suspense novel that delves into a darker subject matter. In good conscience I must warn readers that this book might touch upon some of their hard core reading limits. This is not a New Adult / traditional Contemporary romance novel.

***Hard Core Limits***

Sexual Abuse/ Rape scenes that are graphic

Excessive Violence

Explicit Sexual Scenes

Mature Subject Matter

Alpha created mixed reactions among readers because many of Jasinda Wilder fans were used to the New Adult genre. She clearly classifies the book in the Erotic Romance genre. Many of her fans were expecting a romance that was similar to her New Adult and Contemporary novels where the formats focused on emotional angst and new love. Alpha clearly focused on the sensuality and sexual side that is expected in an Erotic Romance. If you are looking for a sensually hot read that has an strong element of suspense combined with erotic romance, Beta is the book to read.

Beta picks up where Alpha left off. Roth and Kyrie have built a strong relationship based upon love, respect, and chemistry. They are traveling the world and celebrating their newfound love for one another. All seems perfect in their lives until Roth’s past comes back to haunt them in a horrific way.

Roth has disappeared, people are trying to kill Kyrie, and she is stranded in France alone. One phone call to Roth’s security specialist, Harrison, sets the wheels in motion. Kyrie and Harrison will have to infiltrate the dark underworld of one of the most powerful crime families in the world. They will have to risk their lives to save Roth’s life.

Roth’s past has come back to claim him. His past business affairs and life style delved into the other side of legal business practices. Although he walked away from that world long ago, it still has a hold on him. He will suffer beyond belief for his past transgressions. He will do it willingly to keep Kyrie alive.

As the book progresses the readers will be on the edge of their seats. They will be appalled by the violence and acts of revenge carried out. It will take monumental planning and lethal execution by Harrison and his men to save Roth and Kyrie. It will take the strength of will to survive. It will take the strength of their love to heal the horrific atrocities they survived.

The love that Roth and Kyrie share is strong and resilient. Their commitment to one another is the only way to defeat their enemies. Their passion for one another will heal their souls.

Just when the reader feels good about Roth and Kyrie finally finding the peace they need for their future, Jasinda will drop the bomb. The ending is a cliffhanger that will make the readers scream for more.

Jasinda Wilder brought her A game with Beta. I was glued to the pages. She wrote a beautiful romance that survived the ugliest depths of humanity. I am hoping that we will see more of Roth and Kyrie’s romance in the future. I am hoping that Harrison will get a book as well.

I highly recommend Beta. It is a dark, thrilling, erotic romance.

I’ve always loved Jasinda’s ability to write in a way that lasso’s your brain and takes you on a wild ride! I absolutely loved Alpha in all of its mysterious and sexy glory.

I must say though, this continuation is beyond what I was expecting (in a good way!!). Picture the intense, erotic relationship between Kyrie and Roth, multiply that times ten, add in a ton of crazy action packed scenes to this fast tracked plot and BAM! You’ve got yourself a story that will take over your brain and consume your life. You will flip through the pages of this action-packed book faster than you thought possible. Beta is one of Jasinda’s best books to date! Do not miss out on this one!

This story starts off with a whirlwind trip for Kyrie and Roth. You think you know where this story is going, but noooo, that’s now how Jasinda rolls! Just when you think you’ve got an idea of what could happen, she pulls that wheel and turns the opposite direction (without even using a turn signal)! I need to hold back the excitement so I don’t give away any spoilers, but let’s just say, this book is INCREDIBLY insane (the good kind), and has all the elements you could ever want in a book (and then some) to make you sweat, wonder, freak-out and go completely swoon crazy. The transformation of Kyrie and Roth was an amazing aspect about this story. They were both changing throughout this book together. I loved seeing the dynamic between the two and how well they worked together. It really tugged at my heart strings.

Beta is seriously out of this world. I loved it! It’s intense, graphic, violent… it’s the kind of book that has you sitting on the edge of your seat completely consumed in what will happen next. The more I read, the more I crave something different, something more, something new and Jasinda has completed satisfied me with this one! So… go! GO! See what’s in store for Kyrie and her Valentine. This book was amazing and will have your heart racing till the very last page!

Not to sound cliche, but this is DEFINITELY not your mamma's romance. If you're looking for something intense, fast-paced and erotic - something straight-up sexy, Beta is the book for you!

I was seriously geeking for this book the moment Alpha ended, and Jasinda Wilder graciously provided above and beyond my expectations. Talk about mind-boggling and freaking hot!

Valentine and Kyrie's relationship is still in its early stages, but their passion is explosive, all-consuming, and somewhat primal.

Although Beta deals with some dark and heavy subject matters, it will make you sweat. With emotional angst, scorching love scenes, and a compelling storyline, Beta will have readers clamoring for more.

This book is beyond addictive, and it will have you hanging on for dear life. Prepare to be sleep deprived and except the unexpected. Jasinda Wilder is one of my favorite reasons to lose sleep.

BETA was absolutely brilliant! My heart was racing throughout the entire book.

This is a continuation of Roth and Kyrie's story. Kyrie couldn't have been happier with her life until she awoke alone in the bed with nothing but a note that said "He belongs to me."

Jasinda takes you on a dark and twisted journey to discover just what happened to Roth. Just when you think you know what's going to happen, you are surprised again.

BETA is full of action, suspense, hot and steamy sex as well as dark and twisted. If you are looking for a light and fluffy love story, then this book is not for you.

This book deserves well over 5 stars!
