3.5 stars full of hopes and chances.
Saw this stand alone book by Foor and thought, "What the hay!" I'm a steady, but mid-rating, fan of her Mitchell books, so I know her style and can say that I appreciate her knack for creating decent New Adult stories.

The title A Hope and a Chance is a play on the main characters' names , Hope and Chance, and a motif for their half-forbidden, half-underage (LOL, Hope is 17-about to be eighteen at the end of the year and Chance is 21)sweet romance.

Foor puts some token layers on both Hope's and Chance's backgrounds as well as some development to their relationship. Within their backgrounds is enough angst and troubles to do both YA and NA proud, but it wasn't too whiny or OTT to me. Also, the parental figures' presences were a definite link to the obstacles and grief created, but I didn't roll my eyes at any ridiculousness. Actually, Hope's and Chance's parents/family added an even amount of complexity and anonymity, if that makes any sense.

Why not 4 or 5 stars?

One:Predictability
Yeah, this happens with YA or NA a lot, and it happens as a given when you've read the author more than thrice.

Two:Shenanigans with the bad guy
Suffice to say, the bad guy gets off easy and gets too many crazy chances to create harm. This made me feel that the main and supporting characters were too complacent or that they were horrible at supposedly protecting and caring for the heroine(not cool for my romance mojo).

Three:Glitches in character with both Hope and Chance, plus a big one with Hope's father.

Oh, I didn't care for Chance's penchant to wallow, even under very pertinent circumstances. I just felt like he was a little slow on the uptake when taking the reins of his destiny. Next is Hope. I get she is 17 and tried to act like she was 30, and she had been dealt a rough hand a couple of times, but she both backed down and took charge/invited danger at the wrong times. The girl was all-ova-the-place, and I guess that is good characterization for a teen girl on the cusp of womanhood, but I needed her to heed the signs a little more in order to give her credit for maturity.

Finally, Hope's father. What a half bastard and half father! I could neither fully condemn him nor give him full redemption in light of the role he played.

Bottom Line: It was decent and appreciatively steamy (good for what it was---a hope and a chance).

There were many moments in this book where I enjoyed myself as I became engrossed in the love story between Hope and Chance. But there were more times when I was left scratching my head.

Hope and Chance meet when both of their lives were changing. Hope had just graduated from high school and was adjusting to her father moving back to their small town with his new girlfriend. Chance was adjusting to losing everything he held dear in his life and having to start over. When they accidentally meet when Hope is exploring her father's new home, neither one of them were prepared for how their lives where going to change.

Hope and Chance had a lot they were dealing with separately, but when they met each other they couldn't deny the chemistry and pull they had. And there were a lot of times when they made a lot of sense together. But there were moments when their ages really showed and it made me wonder if they really had a healthy relationship or if they were using each other as crutches to get through this point in their lives. I didn't like the lying the two of them did, along with Chance's sister about their relationship. Then there was Hope's father. He sweeps her assault under the rug and sends Chance away so he doesn't blow a business deal because of it and then months later when he discovers the lies that had been told to him, he lets everyone off the hook. That didn't seem realistic and I had issues with that.

I'm sure other readers will enjoy this ya/new adult romance, but it was one the fell a bit short for me. I couldn't connect with the characters enough to believe their relationship and the so called adults ignored too much or helped cover it up to often that made me even want to believe it.

When it feels like the world is crumbling at your feet, sometimes it just takes one person to put all of the pieces back together.

17-year-old Hope has just graduated from high school early, but with no prospects of going to college, an ex-boyfriend who took advantage of her, and a strained relationship with her father who up and left her and her mother for a younger woman, things were not looking good for her. That all changes, however, after a chance encounter with a sexy stranger living in her father's pool house.

21-year-old Chance had everything he could ever want in the palm of his hand, but in one night he managed to destroy it all, getting himself kicked out of college, fired from his job, and disowned by his friends. Running away from his problems seemed like his only option, and now he's living with his sister and her boyfriend while fixing up their new house. Life couldn't get much worse for Chance, until he finds hope in a petite brunette who stumbles upon the pool house one day. But when Hope's father forbids him to get close to his daughter, will Chance be able to keep her at arms length, or will he fight for what could be a second chance at happiness?

I read and loved the original version of this book, Hope's Chance, but A Hope and a Chance is sheer perfection! The push and pull of this sexy forbidden romance had me pining for more as I turned each page, and I couldn't help but fall in love with Chance! Jennifer Foor has become one of my all-time favorite authors and if you haven't read any of her books, this one is a must!

4.5 stars. I loved this book. I loved the main characters. Hope is a 17-year old girl trying to cope with her parent's divorce and now being forced to move back with her dad and his "new love" because her mother has lost her house. Turns out dad's new love, "Buffy" (not so much older than Hope), has a 23-year old brother, Chance, living in the pool house in the backyard, trying to put his life back together as being falsely accused of a crime and losing his college baseball scholarship. Hope and Chance meet by accident, even before being formally introduced, and some sparks fly. But, no one is going to accept a relationship between a 17-year old just graduating high school, and a 23-year old possible felon. So as the relationship gets deeper and more involved, Hope and Chance becomes experts at sneeking around to see each other until Hope turns 18.

What I really liked about this book, was that Hope and Chance actually talked to each other, at length, about their feelings, their dreams for their future, about the false accusations against Chance and I truly believed that they both realized what love and commitment were and was what they wanted together.

Only real drawback was Hope's sometimes immature reaction to certain things (she was, after all still a teenager). But, this book was both sweet and steamy and I really, really liked it.

I liked this story it was very well written and enjoyable to read. hope had to move in with her dad due to her mother having to sell the house and that where she meets chance again as he is her dad new girlfriends brother. They both try to deny there feelings for each other as hope is a minor with chance 3 tears older but they can't and end up having a secret relationship. After a while they can't take it no more after hope getting jealous when a person from chance past comes back for his sisters wedding hope let's everything out to her dad's surprise but because she is an adult now and goin off to college with chance her dad agreed to it. I felt the beginning was spread out good through the chapters but then at the end it seemed to be rushed and the epilogue didn't even give me enough information to complete the book xx

After looking at all the other readers reviews I am wondering if I even read the same book! The writing was terrible and I wanted to punch Hope in the face for being so stupid as well as her parents! Half time I didn't even understand what was happening as the characters dialog went in circles. The only thing I liked about the book was the story line, too bad the author couldn't carry through!

I had a hard time with a 17 year old girl who was many times acting as immature as her age carrying on the way that she did. I was disappointed with the content more than anything.

At the begining of reading I asumed few times to end up reading. After page so about no. 100 plus minus I was first caught. And I endured it, because there was more kindnes, the storry started to be more polite and young couple really fell into each other. Sexual tention was not so enough described for me to be more exited, but I liked their relationship and Buffy approach as well. I hasitate about rating, but it is so close to the 5 stars, the reading was nice and worth it, but I will not read it again. My 5 stars is for books, when I read it twice :-)

"Hope, I know we're young. I don't want you to feel like this is something we have to set in stone. Our love story has been complicated from the very beginning. It seems like we always have some hurdle standing in our way. I bought you this ring as a promise. I promise to always love you and want to share my life and my future with you. You don't have to wear, it but just keep it until you're ready." ~ Chance Avery

Are you swooning yet?? I don't care how young he is...Chance Avery is literally the most swoon worthy boyfriend I have come across this year. Everything he says is absolutely beautiful. He's flawless with an amazing body and he is loyal and honest and perfect. OMG, could I gush anymore??

Anyway, he's perfect right?? Well not quite. He was kicked out of Penn State and lost his baseball scholarship after being arrested. Fortunately, he was acquitted on a technicality and has now come to Virginia to live in the pool house of his sister Buffy and her much older boyfriend Mark Ryan.

I know right, Buffy? I wanted to hate her at first, but she's really sweet and kind of a kick ass chick in a pink and girly way.

Yes, Yes, there's a story here, give me a second because Chance Avery has invaded my thoughts for several days now. The story actually starts out with Hope Ryan, Mark's daughter getting ready for high school graduation. Her dad hasn't been in her life for a long, long time. Now he's back and he wants to get to know his daughter again. As a dad, he basically sucks. He left Hope and her mom during his midlife crisis and they've struggled to keep it together for years.

While visiting her father for the first time at his new home, Hope makes her way to the pool house, which she barges into and gets an eyeful of the most beautiful behind she has ever seen. That behind is attached to a beautiful boy who is not happy Hope busted into his home.

Hope can't get the boy out of her head. She's definitely been anti boyfriend since she found out hers was cheating on her. But pool house boy is another story. Pool house boy is non other than Buffy's brother Chance.

The two run into each other a few times. Somehow Chance is always there to save Hope if she's in trouble. The night she sneaks into a bar with her best friend Rylee is the save that changes both of them forever. When her father and Buffy come into the bar, Chance gets Hope out of the bar before daddio sees and takes her home.

When they get home, holy hell just their making out got me hot and bothered. Hope wanted Chance and with some liquid courage she made her move. Don't misunderstand, Chance wants Hope just as badly, but he knows she's young and he doesn't want to deal with her father wanting to kill him.

After their first night together, you know Hope and Chance are in love. I know, I am a sucker for an all consuming love story and that's what A Hope and a Chance is. The two of them try to ignore their feelings. But somehow they always come back together. Finally they stop fighting and do some major sneaking around to be with each other.

Hope and Chance are not the only part of the book. Of course they're the main part, but there's also Hope's relationship with her father, her dad's relationship with Buffy and the whole mess of Chance's life after Penn State. Of course, Hope's issues with trust come into play quite often. She's always ready to believe the worst when it comes to Chance and other females. Who could blame her? Her dad and ex boyfriend were lying, cheating slime.

There's also issues with the ex boyfriend and a friend of Buffy's that can't quite understand Chance doesn't want her anymore.

There's so much to this story and I don't want to give anything away. But I have to tell you. I loved, loved, loved it. Read A Hope and a Chance to find out if Chance and Hope get caught. If their love is really true. Just read it. I promise you'll love it. Actually, let me know what you think after you've read it!!

A huge five lip smack review for Jennifer Foor's A Hope and a Chance.

The heart wants what the heart wants, and for Hope and Chance, their hearts are leading them towards each other, preventing them from keeping one another at distance, which would be the "right thing" to do considering Hope is supposed to be off limits due to her age and the circumstances of Chance's relationship with her father. But they can't deny their feelings, and soon they find themselves in a secret relationship - one that they know could blow up in their faces, but what they feel for each other is real, and there's no turning back for either Hope or Chance when their want and need to be together is all they can see and feel.

Hope may only be 17 years old, but she learned early on what it feels like to be discarded by the men in her life, specifically her father and her ex boyfriend. Trust doesn't come easy for Hope, but when she's forced to spend time with her father and his new girlfriend, Buffy, she meets Buffy's younger brother, Chance, and the instant attraction she feels for him consumes her every minute of the day. Even though Hope is a bit naive and sheltered, she definitely knows how to have Chance eating out of her hands, and despite Chance trying to take the whole hands off approach to his relationship with Hope, he can't help but succumb to her alluring body.

Chance may run hot and cold with Hope at the start of their relationship, but it's because he's trying to do the honorable thing and distance himself from her. He has a questionable past that has ended up costing him quite a bit and guilt weighs heavily on him. He doesn't want to ruin anything for his sister and her new boyfriend, but he also can't resist Hope's beauty, and his need to have her wins out in the end. But it's so much more than just sex between them, which is really why Chance is willing to risk it all to be with Hope despite all of the drama that could result from Hope's father learning about their relationship.

What I loved most about this story is what both Hope and Chance brought out of the other. Hope's a pretty insecure person, but Chance does his best to put her mind at ease on a number of occasions. Through her love for Chance, Hope becomes a passionate woman who isn't afraid to let him know how she feels through both her words and her actions. At every stage of their relationship, Chance does everything he can to not let Hope down and to prove to her that she'll never regret giving her heart and her body to him. Despite the obstacles that are in their way, the bond that they have created is solid, and even though the road ahead might have a few bumps in it, Chance is going to be by Hope's side because that's where he belongs...that's where he feels most alive.

A Hope and a Chance is another fantastic read by Jennifer Foor. Because the story is told in dual POV, readers are allowed an insider's look at how both Hope and Chance are feeling about each other and their situation from the very beginning. There's great character development throughout the text, and the plotline never staggers, which makes it an enjoyable read from beginning to end. Chance is definitely a swoon worthy hero, and his devotion to Hope, despite everything, is admirable. Hope comes into her own as the story progresses, and despite the rocky start with her father's girl friend, she finally has people on her side willing to fight for her, which hasn't been the case for quite a while. I can't wait for Hope and Chance's novella to come out, so readers can catch up with the happy couple and find out where their lives and love have taken them.

~~ 5 "Love Conquers All" Stars ~~

I have been a HUGE Jennifer Foor fan since the beginning. I have read all of her books and I can say without a doubt she is one of my all time favorite authors. She is definitely an auto read for me. I was thrilled to find out that she was re-releasing a brand new version of one her earlier books (Hope's Chance) with new material added. That is the first book I read by her and is an all time favorite of mine. Jennifer has a way of connecting her readers to her characters and making you feel like you're a part of the characters lives and story. This is no different. I LOVE Jennifer's standalone books…..there is just something about them. This book is fairly long and might be considered a slower read, but to me it just worked. She gave us a wonderful story of forbidden love and shows us how that if you just believe in love and your partner, it can overcome everything.

Hope and Chance are fabulous characters. Hope was on the young side and she came off as a little naive, but she ends up being a truly mature woman by the end. She finally realized what she wanted out of life and didn't let anyone stand in her way. I loved how she handled the whole Trevor situation. I only wished she would've stood up to her father sooner, especially after what Trevor did. Chance is just AMAZING!!!! What a swoontastic Hero. He was sweet, caring, patient, and understanding. After what happened to him in his past, I can understand why he was broken and felt alone. I loved watching him learn to love himself again and put his faith and love back into other people. He always watched out for Hope and made sure she was safe. He was never going to let anyone hurt her. Hope and Chance had some major hurdles to overcome in this story, but I was glad to see that they were able to overcome them without the typical separation. They worked through things together!!!! To me these two were just such a sweet couple and I loved their love story.

Jennifer Foor can do no wrong in my opinion. She always creates a story that will pull at your heartstrings and will also have you smiling, laughing, blushing and even crying. Now this book wasn't as steamy as most of her other books, but that is just fine….there is steam in this book but it is written as age appropriate and isn't raunchy. To me the sexy scenes just enhanced this already great love story.

So if you are looking for that forbidden love story that proves that love can stand the test of time, then this is the book for you. Even if you read the first version Hope's Chance this book is one you will want to pick back up and read again. This is definitely a book you will want to read if you are a fan of Jennifer's…..DEFINITELY a do not miss book!!!!

A Hope and A Chance is an emotional heartwarming, yet steamy story of two people existing in life, just trying to get by while life keeps throwing challenges their way. When everything is constantly knocking you down, your hopes and dreams taken away from you, leaving you with nothing and no hopes for the future you learn to take each day as it comes. When you meet a person that opens you up to living again, you hold tight and don't let go regardless of the consequences.

Hope is 17 and has just graduated from high school early. After her parents divorced her relationship with her father was nonexistent. Now he is back in town with a new 'play-toy' Buffy, and wants to see her again. Seeing her father again and meeting his new girlfriend wasn't easy, what was easy? the gorgeous guy living in the pool house.

Chance is 21 and a shell of his former self. Not to long ago he was outgoing and the life of the party amongst his friends and girlfriend, he was living the college dream on a full ride. All it takes is one moment in time for his life to come crashing down, his life destroyed. Now he is a loner living with his sister Buffy and her boyfriend in their pool house, he has no life.

When Hope and Chance meet things change for both of them, even more so for Chance. A simple gesture from Hope is soothing and opens him up to thinking about what he could have, a second chance at having a real future again and love.

Hope and Chance play a tug of war with their feelings for each other. Hope is very persistent and won't give up on him, one taste of Chance only leaves her wanting more. Chance wants her but his head is telling him how much of a bad idea this is as well as her father warning him to stay away. But his heart and his body are moving on their own, it's been so long since a woman made him feel wanted. He has craved the touch and closeness of another for so long and it's not just the physical interaction he craves. It's more, not wanting another one night stand; Hope has made him feel again leaving him wanting more and wanting more out out life then the loner existence he has been living.

“What happened to you? What happened to make you not be willing to let me in?”

When Hope and Chance finally gives into their internal battle with their feelings it is just the first step they need to get past.

"I have never safer than when I am in your arms."
"You don't know how much that means to me, Hope."

For Hope, Chance has opened her up and shown her what love is meant to be like, he loves her with everything he has and everything he is. For Chance, Hope has given him a reason to let someone close to him and a reason to live and not just watch life go by. Hope and Chance have more than one obstacle they need to overcome, their relationship is put to the test in more ways then one.

Will love conquer all?

We just adored A Hope and a Chance, through her limited life experiences Hope is a mature girl who grows into a strong women while still having some insecurities. Chance, Chance, Chance ladies he will have you SWOONING, his way with words *sigh* we need more Chance. We can’t wait for the next installment, a novella coming soon.

Review originally posted at Ramblings From This Chick

A Hope and a Chance is the first book that I have ever read by Jennifer Foor, and I really enjoyed it! This definitely will not be the last book I read of hers, and I can't believe that I had never read anything by her before. I really liked the characters and I enjoyed Jennifer Foor's writing style a lot.

Hope is struggling with everything in her life being turned upside down. Her father has returned to town with his young girlfriend and has reached out to her. But things get off on the right foot, and Hope finds herself needing to get out. She ends up meeting Chance, her father's girlfriend's brother and he rescues her from a bad situation. Soon they meet again, and the sparks continue to fly between them. They know that their situation is complicated, but no matter how hard they try they can't fight what is between them. But they both know that no one can find out about them, or it will ruin things before they ever really start. Can Hope and Chance find a way to make things work until the obstacles standing in their way are finally removed?

I liked Hope and Chance. They were both great characters and I loved how normal they were. They were easy to like and root for, and you could tell that their feelings were deep and true. I loved the attraction and chemistry between them, and it was clear right from the start. But I also loved the undeniable emotional connection that these two had. They really understood each other and were so supportive and encouraging. They were always there for one another, and the love they shared was so believable. Hope really needed someone after everything that she had been through, and Chance was perfect for her. But Hope was also so great with Chance, and she never once doubted him even after he told her everything that he had been running from. She was always right there by his side and would do whatever it took to show others what a great guy he was.

I really enjoyed seeing these two work through everything that came their way, and the one thing that never changed was their devotion to the other. There was a ton of drama surrounding them, but their feelings and commitment never wavered. I will say that this book felt a bit slow at times, and was a bit long. But I really loved these two, so I found myself staying interested enough to keep reading through those parts. I wish that we would have been given a bit more of their relationship after everything happened at the end of the book, and see a little more of their future together. But the author did mention a novella coming featuring these two, so I am hoping to get more of their HEA in that. I definitely recommend this book if you are a new adult fan. I think these characters are easy to relate to and I think a lot of readers will really enjoy their story.

Looking for a delicious forbidden love story? Looking for a book loaded with angst, passion, and red hot sex? A Hope And A Chance by Jennifer Foor has all of these elements and more. It is a mesmerizing story of undeniable passion and undying love.

Hope's world has been off kilter since her parents divorced a few years earlier. Her father went through a mid life crisis and left the state. The separation forced Hope and her mother to move in with her grandmother. Hope has had to grow up fast. She took accelerated classes and graduated at the age of seventeen. She has broken up with her controlling boyfriend and spends most of her time with her best friend. Although her mother is quite strict, their life is on an even keel and somewhat happy. That is until her father moves back to the state with his new young girlfriend that is only a number of years older than Hope. They want to establish a relationship with Hope once again. Not only is she getting to know her father once again and adjust to his new life. She will also have to learn to live with him and his new girlfriend because her mother has lost her job and her grandmother's health is failing. There is a great surprise when she moves into her father's home. His girlfriend's younger brother, Chance, is living in the pool house. He is twenty one and strictly off limits.

Chance has had to move with his sister and her older boyfriend after his life fell apart in the most horrific way. His bright future was ruined and life was destroyed. Now he is trying to pick up the pieces and find a new path for his life. The one thing he doesn't need is more trouble. When Hope moves in with her father and his sister , he knows trouble is right next door. Can he stay away from her? Can he stay away from the forbidden?

Hope and Chance are drawn to one another. Age doesn't make a difference. Their family can't keep them apart. They can't deny the passion that burns deep within their souls for one another. They will have to keep their relationship a secret until Hope turns eighteen. Keeping secrets isn't easy. Is their love strong enough to handle the deceptions and the truths?

Read A Hope And A Chance by Jennifer Foor. It is a beautiful story of love and trust. It is a story of passion that burns brighter than the past. It is a story of taking chances and finding hope.

4 1/2 Stars!!

I will officially say it! I am a Jenn Foor Whore!! Yes! I will shout it from the roof tops and let everyone know it. I adore this lady. If she were to write the phone book I would probably devour it and read it all over again! I binge read all 9 of her Mitchell Family books when I was on vacation this year and saw that she had a new book open for review. I jumped ship (literally since I was on a cruise) to sign up for it. I am not at all disappointed that I did. Chance is giving all of my book boyfriends a run for their money. The only thing that would be better would be if I was able to have more of him.!!

Hope and Chance are not your typical couple. Hope is seventeen and lives with her mom and grandmother after her parents divorce. After several years, her dad decides that he wants to get to know his daughter and have her meet his new girlfriend.

Chance is running from his past. After being in the wrong place at the wrong time, he is living with his sister and doing side jobs for her boyfriend (who happens to be Hope's father). He want to a clean start in a new town where no one knows of his past.

Chance and Hope meet in the most unconventional of ways. While exploring her dads new home, she goes into the pool house and just happens to catch the hottest man she has ever seen changing from a swim. She is pretty much rendered speechless. She is not expecting to see anyone in there and he is not expecting his sisters "Very Important Guest" to be one of the most beautiful woman her has ever seen.

It seems that Chance is always saving Hope in one way or another. I believe that the typical man would have walked away, but being who he is, Chance is always there for her. Whether it is hiding her from her dad at a bar, saving her from her ex-boyfriend, or hiding their relationship from her dad until she is 18.

They both try to fight the feelings that they have, but it is no use. They are totally into one another and to say it was love at first site is an understatement. You can see how they fought their true feeling from one another to appease those around them, but in the end, they had to list to their own hearts and found what they really needed.

I want to say so much more, but I am afraid that I would ruin it for all of you. I would suggest that you get this one and read it for yourselves. I know that Jenn said that there would be more from Hope and Chance, they will have a novella in 2015, but I really really hope that she does more then that, because this couple is something special.

This was a really great book. It is filled with tragedy, love, heartbreak, mystery, and tenderness. Hope is 17 years old and she just graduated from high school. She lives with her mother but they had to move in with her grandmother years before. Her mother is low on money so then Hope's father comes back to town with a young new girlfriend and bought an expensive house. When he left her mom, he left Hope as well and hasn't been there for her at all. Since she's still a minor, she is forced to move in with her father, his girlfriend, and the girlfriend's brother that lives in the pool house. Chance is that brother and his life hasn't been the same in years. He was a great baseball player and on a scholarship at a wonderful school when he is blamed for something terrible that happens. The stress from the situation caused his mother to die from a heart attack and he lost all of his friends. From the moment Hope and Chance meet they are attracted to one another and pulled together.

Hope is a really great girl that is forced into a bad situation. Her father is more concerned with things that relate to his life than about his daughter. He turns a blind eye when something terrible happens to Hope because it might mess up a business deal. She loves Chance and wants to be with him so she does what she has to do to make sure they stay together.

Chance is a strong man that is blamed for something that wasn't his fault at all. People's beliefs and perceptions are all that matters when his life is destroyed and he loses his mother. He is close with and loves his sister. He doesn't have a lot of joy in his life anymore and not a lot of hope. But Hope makes him look forward to the future again and realize that some things are more important than others. He will do what he needs to do for the people that he loves.

This book is definitely worth reading.

So, this is my very first Jennifer Foor book. (hangs head in shame) I know, I know. I feel like everyone has read her but my TBR list is just crazy long so when the opportunity came for an arc of this book I took it, knowing I would HAVE to make time to read it. I am so glad I did. I really did enjoy this light NA read!

"So, my brother is in love with soon to be step-daughter. Should we call the Maury show now or wait until your father finds out?"

Haha! I think that quote perfectly summarizes this book. Poor Chance and Hope really want to be together but she is young and underage and Chance has a sketchy past on top of being Hope's almost new Step-Moms brother. So, they have to hide their relationship from everyone and cannot seem to stay away from eachother.

If she walked away from me, I'd be able to look at her knowing that if only for a short time, we were happy together. It would have to be enough.

I really enjoyed this light New Adult beach type read. It read easy and the characters were likable and sweet. Chance especially. I really did sympathize with him and he was pretty damn swoony.

"I don't want you to ever forget how important you are. Without you, my life would be meaningless. you make me want to be a better person."

Their story is a sweet one and is left with a bit of a cliffy and I sure do hope to hear more from Hope and Chance.

I hope you'll give love a chance...

What a great happy ever after story. There are many ups and downs for the couple and I just couldn't stop turning the page to see what would happen next. And now a bit about the story...

Hope has just graduated high school and is ready to start the next chapter of her life when her father returns to town with his new girlfriend. Buffy has been dating Mark a while and now they have moved back home after ignoring her for a few years. Reluctantly she goes to visit him and find a naked man in the pool house. Chance is Buffy's brother and he is living with them. After the awkward moment Hope leaves wanting to never return. But instead Chance saves her and when he later gets her out of a bar before her dad sees her, one thing leads to another. Will this former ball player her lucky or will Mark loose all faith in him and skin him alive?

Favorite passages:
- “I have to think that something good comes out of something horrible.”
- “You’re so perfect to me, Hope. You make me want to live. You’re all that I want, all that I need. You’re everything. God, I love you so much.”

A tale of forbidden love. But a love so strong it was impossible to deny.

Sneaking around wasn't something Hope and Chance wanted to do but no one would understand. Not with their age gap being a concern. But only for 6 more months.

Could they make it?

This story had so many twists, turns, and downright heart wrenching moments. I felt every emotion that Hope and Chance experienced. They fought their attraction - I despaired. They argued about why they shouldn't be together - I angered. They were away from one another - I ached.

There isn't much to say that won't ruin the story. I adored the dual POV and the fact that I got to see inside the minds of both characters! Despite original misgivings I ended up loving Buffy and am pleased she got her HEA that she had craved for a long time.

If you've read anything by Jennifer Foor before now then you won't be disappointed. This is a true Foor masterpiece - just like all of her other books. I'm yet to read one I haven't enjoyed (and I've read a lot!)

This gets a 4.5 out of 5 from me. A perfect, snuggle up on a cold afternoon, lose yourself in the pages kind of book!

Another one of Jenn Foor's books that I absolutely loved. The two main characters are both strong beautiful people. Chance is living with his sister and her new boyfriend in their pool house. His past is haunting him and he feels like he is not really living.
Hope is forced to live with her had and his not much older than her girlfriend. Her dad's girlfriend has a hot brother living in the pool house.
The two are instantly attracted to one another and had a one night stand prior to her moving in. What is forbidden is their age, she is not 18 yet and he is 21. The two start a relationship and have to hide it from everyone until she turns 18. Also Chance has a past he is afraid to share with Hope. He is afraid he will lose her and that she is his second "chance".
I loved both characters so much, they were young but strong and know what they want, each other. I am glad we are getting a novella, I wanted more at the end of the book. It doesn't end in a cliffhanger but it does leave you with wanting more and some questions if these two can make it together with some obstacles they are facing.

This book was really cute. I liked it. But I can’t say I loved it. Honestly, at times I felt it was predictable and sometimes cheesy. But other times I put my kindle down, my heart sped up and was thinking “Is this really happening?”

A Hope and a Chance is a book about a couple that shouldn’t be together. Her dad and his sister and dating and eventually get married. But Hope and Chance got together before they really realized the connection. And it was immediate. That spark. That attraction. The want. And when they realized the connection and realized them being together was a bad thing, it was too late. Because to them, it was the right thing.

Would I recommend this book? Yes. Its one of those that you read when you want something that you know ends it an awesome place, makes your heart speed up at parts and walk away from your kindle because you can’t believe some of the things you are reading. It’s a book that makes you happy. There is a bit of angst. There is a whole lot of love with some good cheese mixed in.

This was the first book I read by Jennifer Foor. I think it was a great story and very well written. I was sucked in and wanted to find exactly what was going to happen to Hope and Chance. I like surprises and this story was definitely full of them. Sometimes age has nothing to do with what we want in life, and this story is proof of that. I could feel the love these two shared coming right off the pages. Hope isn't concerned with what others think and she only wants to be happy not caring about her future right now. Chance has to overcome some past demons to move on with his future, a future he isn't sure will happen. Hope is pulled from the only life she knows and is used to, unwillingly. But can this change be for the best? Chance isn't looking for someone, and when he is thrown for a loop he is put in a tough spot, can he keep his secret and save his own life? I'm looking forward to reading more about Hope and Chance!

***i received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**
if you're lucky one day you will meet the one person who will be your game changer, your soulmate and Hope and Chance were lucky because they met each other right when their lives could've gone either way, they both had dealt with tragedies and traumas and they were at the fork in the road where they could either lose themselves to the darkness of their pasts or pull each other into the light. I loved this book because it wasn't insta love they had to fight for their relationship and they didn't act like teenagers who only thought of themselves and screw the consequences which just made me admire and respect them more, I hope to find a guy like Chance someday and to be the kind of woman Hope is! I can't wait for the novella so we see how their story ends!!

When I first started reading this book I was thinking it was another YA book. The more I read the more I discovered it is so much more than that. This book really sticks with you. You start falling in love with the characters without realizing it. By the time I was finished I had a huge book hangover. I am a huge fan of Jennifer Foors, so it shouldn’t have surprised me how much I loved this book.

You have 17 years old Hope that is so much older than she seems. You see her over the course of time really grow up before your eyes. She goes from this naive little girl and truly develops in to a strong woman. She shows her strength as most would fall apart.

Everything was going good for 21 year old Chance up until his life took a drastic change. Now it seems as if everything is going wrong for him. Then he meets Hope. “Her name said it all; she gave me Hope”.

I seriously cannot get enough of Jennifer Foor's books!!! A Hope and a Chance is just as good and steamy as all the others! I loved seeing how bold and independent Hope was in getting what she wanted. And Chance...it's like he gets a second "chance" at life, even when it's probably the worst scenario possible. But sometimes, things cannot be avoided and you can't deny feelings! At first, I hated Buffy. She just seemed like the gold diggin' ditzy blonde, but over time I fell in love with her! I am still not 100% sold on Hope's Dad...he fell through for Hope on several occasions, and was quite selfish! But in the end, the love story is sweet, scandalous, secretive, & saucy!!!! I would love to see another book in this series, but if not...no worries, this book ends perfectly!

Talk about a forbidden love!! Hope and Chance meet when Hope moves in with her estranged father and his soon to be new wife, enter in Chance, the younger brother of her father's girlfriend. Hope is only 17 and Chance is 21 so the forbidden goes past just their family, but also age. They try to keep their relationship a secret but who can hide when they are in love? The sexual chemistry was off the charts HOT between the two of them!! The depth of their feelings and need for each other was heart warming and I didn't want to put my iPad down and miss another word, sentence, or scene between the two of them! I also loved Buffy and thought she was a great character in the book. I didn't read the first version of Hope and a Chance but I LOVE this version!!

I was in a standalone type of mood and I love this author so I decided why not. I loved this book, I was drawn in right away. I love Hope & Chance's history and how it played out in the story. I'm sorry I don't really know what to say about this book other than I'm beaming just thinking about it. Hope has spunk and a bite to her and I loved it. And although I really wanted to hate Buffy, I couldn't she was just a fantastic character. I loved the drama and the ups and downs and all the twists of the story. I could see myself re-reading this one. Oh and then you have Chance, come on he just sounds like a great guy. Either way LOVED IT! Glad I read it and as usual this author did not disappoint me.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. This book is the first book that I have read by Jennifer Foor. I liked it a lot. Hope is a seventeen year old with an absent father who now wants a relationship with her. Chance is a 21 year old who wants to start over in a new state. Hope and Chance meet and fall in love. It is not easy for them because of Hope's age and because of secrets. The writing is pretty good and Hope and Chance are very likeable although sometimes very immature. Hope and Chance are very hot together and they care about each other and protect each other. I can't wait to read more about them.
