Introducing a major new action writer and his undeniably charismatic college student turned hero, Rex Chase.
It’s the spring of 1937. Rex Chase pursues two doctoral degrees at Harvard University, is a standout baseball star, and has fallen in love. His lazy school days come to a quick end, though, when sinister powers bent on diabolical goals transform his life forever.
Learning massive amounts of information in a short time has always been simple for Rex Chase, but his thresholds are pushed to extremes in the following days. A raucous quest for answers exposes a global empire poised to unleash its untold wealth and unlimited power. Not only must he save his own life, and the lives of those he loves, but Chase’s adventures culminate in a powerful realization.
Only one man stands between pure evil and the abject subjugation of mankind.

Wheat’s weekly blog covers a wide range of subject matter and has seen its readership reach into the thousands. I'm a salesman and I met Mr. Wheat at his other job slinging food and drinks at Chilis. He is a super nice guy and through the course of my meal it came up that he writes books too. Since I travel a lot and like to read I thought I'd pick up a copy. At the time it was only 99 cents on Amazon. Anyway, I'm not sure why, but I honestly wasn't expecting it to be great, even though he is a well-spoken man and everything. Well, I started reading the book at bedtime, (around 10) and the next thing I knew it was two in the morning! I was so engrossed in the story that I must have laid there another 20 minutes after I put my kindle down even though I was exhausted. Needless to say I finished it the next night. It was well written. Great dialogue. Great characters. Rex Chase is awesome! I'm downloading The Sentinel tomorrow!
I was drawn in immediately by the old chief and kept on the edge through the entire story. Even after I stopped reading for the day the characters stayed with me. I found myself wondering what was going to happen next. This is an adventure/science fiction novel and has some sex and violence throughout. If you've read Clancy, and Cussler then you would likely enjoy this story too.
I receive this book for an honest review, I can give you a four thumbs up!! I would give it a 5 but I am anxious to read the next installment of adventures for Rex Chase. Fantasy,Adventure, using intelligence, good looks and magnetism to win hearts and minds
Ma'iitso Rises kept me on edge the entire book. I absolutely loved the characters and got really attached! I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, easy read. Five stars. Nice work!
