His fear is that he’ll get there and his family won’t be there.
Genre: Adventure Apocalypse Disaster End of the World Fiction Science fiction
Why this book: A world fallen into disaster. Of course that sucks me in.
Least Favorite Character: The bikers all have a bit of a strawman construction to them in this book. Bad guys just to be bad guys with stereotypical biker-isms.
The Feel: Thanks to the denouement, you get the feel that the journey has to be repeated in the next book and the other characters will still stand in opposition to the bikers.
Pacing: The pace was alright, not great, not torrentially page turning, but good.
Hmm Moments: The EMP gives you a world zombie-like in its devastation...without zombies. Nicely done.
Old cars and motorcycles with no computer chips are immune to EMPs. Good to know.
I'm liking the story a lot, it's quite engrossing, but the free Kindle copy I got is full of spelling mistakes. I find it a little off-putting. Still, it's a good story.
