This review will also be without spoilers only a few teaser quotes thrown in to give you a taste of what's install for you..
Holy Sh!t balls what the hell did I just read?!
I LOVED everything about this book, from start to finish I was hooked, I could not for the life of me put this down, it had everything in a book that I could ask for, MMA fighter, MMC biker, AND a bad mouthed no filter highly inappropriate arrogant alpha male that I loved..
As all us females know males only think of two things their stomachs and sex, in Jaeger's case this kind of flew out the window because ALL he thought about was sex which came down to him wanting his c*ck sucked off 24/7!!
You are in for one hell off a laugh your ass off ride with all the ways in which Jaeger and his non filter mouth get him in trouble time and time again..
TICK, TOCK, TICK, TOCK
My cock needs sucking, Jaeger murmurs in my ear
As appropriately quoted from the book he is a walking, talking, sexy, testosterone-fueled hornbag
I know I said the last book I read of Margaret's was my favorite well this has kind of left that book in the dust!! This is now my all time favorite book!!
Jaeger rode in on his damned motorcycle, and the moment I opened the door I knew I was in trouble - Phoenix
I don't do romance, Nix. I don't do pretty and soft. I'll tell you what I want, how I want it and although you may not like how I say it, it'll always be the truth - Jaeger
THE DEVIL ON ONE SHOULDER AND A TARNISHED SAINT ON THE OTHER - Jaeger
I'm kind of sad that this story is over..
This book surprised me on so many levels, it's gritty,it's twisted, it's raw, it's filthy, it's sexy, it's intense, and it keeps you sitting on the edge of your seat as you turn the pages waiting to see what else is going to get thrown at you..What more can I say other than I LOVED it with a passion!!
This was awful. I'm actually surprised I finished this because it was that bad. I hate to put down a book because authors put their heart and soul in them, but this just sucked :(
Great book by a first time author for me. I read a lot of the MC romances and find that recently it is hard to find one by a new author (for me) that has a good writing style, good editing and most of all a good story and characters that engage me. I enjoyed watching the relationship between Jaeger and Phoenix develop. Jaeger has lived a tough life without the love and support of parents, so he is a little rough around the edges. Phoenix is a feisty, independent woman who doesn't take any crap off of any man. Jaeger has absolutely no filter on what comes out of his mouth but he never mistreats Phoenix. In fact some of the things he said made me laugh a lot. Phoenix has been faced with the brutal truth that her father has gambled away the family farm and sold her to a crime lord who wants to use her in the worst way. Jaeger has a hard time facing up to the fact that he is falling in love with Phoenix. I loved the verbal exchanges between the two and was happy to see that Jaeger finally becomes the romantic, touchy-feely guy he usually ridicules throughout the book. I also liked the secondary characters and wonder if there will be another story for Sarge and Malina. I will definitely read the next book in this series. And oh yes, the sex scenes were hot and funny as Jaeger begs Phoenix for it before she actually gives in.

Oh My Happy Day. I love finding a new author who makes me squeeeeee. I do love Grit. It is so well named...this is one good, gritty, down and dirty MC read.
Jaegar has had a tough life. He was been kicked out of his house, conquered the world of MMA and is now the President of the Hunters MC Club. He and his brothers are trying to keep their head above water and out of the sights of rival clubs, cartels, drug dealers, and the police. When he is due money that can't be paid, he'll take the farm instead.
Dillon/Phoenix/Nix has been cleaning up after her father for years. She isn't too surprised when gang of motorcycle riders show up at her house and kick the door in. Jaegar wants to keep her safe and so much more. And he is NOT shy about expressing his feelings. Those feelings deep down in his....pants. That's where he does most of his thinking. And speaking.
Why do you have to look like that...but the moment you open your mouth you screw everything up?
Nix and Jaegar spar back and forth so much it makes your head spin.
How is it possible that out of all the chicks in the world, the one that I want most is also the world's most annoying?
Their's is not an easy romance. There are kidnappings, whore houses, club sluts, drinking, moles, best friends, ill fated pedicures, beatings, and lots of name calling. Oh....and some steamy stuff too. Good steamy stuff.
You're not what I thought I wanted. You're arrogant an asshole, alpha male, and I don't go for those types..... Then you've been going for the wrong sort of man.
I want more of the Hunters. I loved Jaegar and his very politically incorrect mouth. This one is a great read that's not too predictable. Did I mention I did the happy dance. Oh yea...dancing is happening here.
While Jaeger is extremely physically attracted to Nix the emotional for me is missing. He doesn't have conversations. He has sex. Now that talking someone into sex thing is hot maybe a couple times in a book but when it's almost all of the the encounters... it gets old. And then her hard to get game she's playing makes her a little unlikable. I wanted to shake her too and request that she become an adult woman. I know it wasn't meant to be a comedy.. But I was laughing at some of the hardcore crazy things that came out of their mouths. It's a quick easy okay read and it's not a bad book. Just been done before. I need a little more substance in my smut to enjoy it. I don't do romance, Nix. I don't do pretty and soft. I'll tell you what I want, how I want it and although you may not like how I say it, it'll always be the truth - Jaeger Don’t let my rating and review throw you. You might like it more than I did!
Jaegar is everything Phoenix is not. Rude, crude, domineering and a control freak, who just so happens to be the president of the MC! Phoenix also known as Vix; and if you really wanna piss her off Red. Is the exactly opposite. Raised out on the country farm tending cattle, is thrusted into a shit storm. Two rivals MC's going head to head over unpaid debts her father owes. Loved how they meet! (Grit) “Phoenix,” Jaeger now yells at me. “Get up,” he orders me. “I’m not one of your sluts,” I angrily spit at him. “Get your ass up, now! ” I want to grab Sandy, shake her by the shoulders and yell at her that her responsibility is her daughter and not this club. “Now,” he shouts at me again, breaking my wave of anger for a split second.
4.5 From homeless teen, to street fighter, to Hunters MC Prez, this book has it all and it's a standalone. This is not your average fluffy fairytale MC book. It's dark and gritty, with rape, human trafficing, drugs, killing, gun trade, and all around biker badassery. Wow, so that can be done, amazing.
The red headed wonder bitch with the temper to match was one of my favs. Nix was a firercracker that spoke her mind and could give one little shit about what anyone thought about it. “You’re an idiot, now leave me alone and get out.” She points toward the door. “What the hell’s your problem, Red?” “You are. You talk to me like I’m a slut. Dirty talk is fine, but calling me a bitch is not. And for the love of God, stop calling me Red. I hate that name. Either Phoenix or Nix, but if you keep calling me Red I’ll make you call me Miss Ward. Now get out before I smack you one in that pretty boy face of yours.”
“That’s a lot of plastic there,” I say as I move my head to indicate the bags. “I didn’t figure you were into ‘save the environment’ bags,” Nix quips snidely.
Jaeger, brain to mouth filter, non-existent. “I don’t do romance, Nix. I don’t do pretty and soft. I’ll tell you what I want, how I want it and although you may not like how I say it, it’ll always be the truth.” But I’m far from selfless and noble. I’m an egocentric, narcissistic, self-centered prick, and I want her all for myself. I’m not sharing her, ever, with anyone. And if she thinks she has a choice in the matter, she has another think coming. I’ll keep her here until she finally realizes we’re meant to be in this fucked up thing called life together. An alpha male. What a stupid-ass description. Alpha males don’t exist. There are only men with balls and men who are pussies. He was great, rude and crude yes, but still great.
“Listen here, you spoiled fucking brat,” I start as I stand from the bed. “I’m trying to save your God damned, highly judgmental ass. This looking down your nose at us is seriously grating on my last fuckin’ nerve. If for one moment you stopped and thought about the bullshit which flies out of that snobbish fuckin’ mouth of yours, you’d see I’m trying to protect you.” “Why the hell would you do that?” she counters and takes a small step back. “I ask myself the same damn question every time you open that fuckable mouth.” “That’s why I act up. You say shit like that and think it’s okay. It’s not okay. You can’t say things like ‘fuckable mouth’ to me.” And in the end they both could give as good as they got. “That’s why I act up. You say shit like that and think it’s okay. It’s not okay. You can’t say things like ‘fuckable mouth’ to me.” Sarge was also great. I'd like to see some more of him and Milina.
Only bad thing is the editing was non-existent, which is funny since several people/groups were credited with it. *Copy provided by Netgalley in exchange for honest opinion.*
Jaeger Dalton had horrible parents. They kicked him out on his own when he was just sixteen because he didn’t make the thousand dollars they require him to make when he sells their drugs. Trying his hardest to find somewhere to sleep and something to eat, he turns to fighting so that he can steal money to help keep him alive. One night he is found by a man named Aaron, who introduces him to underground street fighting. He is also introduced into the world of MC’s. He soon becomes the President on the club, which comes with great perks, like whores sucking him off. Yeah, he likes that. When one of his men doesn’t come through and misses two payments, he rides out to find him. Instead of the guy he was looking for he find this girl. This girl that he’s seen before and has an odd fascination with. He takes the girl back to his club to protect her from the other MC that wants her as well. Phoenix is devastated at having to leave her farm behind. Slowly adjusting to being in a club, she makes an unlikely relationship with foul-mouthed Jaeger. And of course, as you’d expect, something terrible happens and he has to save her. But does he make it in time? I love Margaret McHeyzer. She is an absolutely amazing writer and writes all sorts of different subjects. This book has to be my personal favorite, though, because Jaeger is a riot. He is absolutely hysterical. Everything about this book is perfect. The story line is perfect, different, and keeps you on your toes. When the bad thing hits, you will be screaming at your kindle. If you love MMA books and MC books, then this is for you. It is a combination of both and has everything you could want. There’s unlikely love, there’s fighting, there’s bikes, there’s dangerous situations that the girl needs rescuing from, there’s betrayal. All of it. You will love this book! Six stars (out of five) for Grit! This is definitely Margaret’s best book! Give it a chance and read it!
OMG Loved this book I give it 5 stars, more if I could! This book had me laughing, crying and had oh no he just didnt moments. When I started this book I couldnt put it down, I finished in one sitting and even though its a stand alone I so hope she writes more around this MC club. This is not your happy go lucky read either, they are some grit to this book but to me that just makes a book great!! Real life moments that you can relate to in some way, cause lets face it real life is not all rainbows and unicorns. Ok we have Jaeger Dalton who is prez of his mc,and wants the land that was promised to him.Phoenix Ward isnt about to let anyone take it from her.But Jaeger wasnt expecting to find Phoenix at the doorstep when he went to claim his land but now that he has he wants her too. But Jaeger is an arrogant ass who doesnt have a filter on his mouth.Phoenix cant believe some of the stuff that he says to her,and her brain is telling her to run as far away as she can but her body is telling her to stay. Then throw in other people that want her and her land. What a mess her life has gotton into will she find her HEA? I highly recommend this book!!!!!!!!
I don't usually DNF at such an early point in the book, but I knew off the bat me and this book wouldn't work for anyone's benefit. My issue was my inability to get into the story and my lack of reaction in the first 5%.

Fist off I want to say that I freaking LOVED this book. Its at the top of my favorite books now. I often say that I would love to crawl into a book and help or hug a certain character but in this case I want to crawl in Margaret McHeyzer's brain. What goes on in that head of hers in phenomenal. The places that she has to go to in order to come up with some of the stuff she does is amazing to me. She really continues to wow me with each and every book. Ok now that I have gushed on one of my favorite authors let me tell you about this awesome book.
Jaeger is the biggest jerk on the planet! Really everything that comes out of his mouth automatically makes you want to punch him in the face. He has no filter and really is just a huge jerk! He will leave your head hurting with how much of a pain her is. He is such a jerk that he is funny as hell. Did I mention he's a jerk? Ha you get my point. When he formally meets Nix for the first time you see a tiny glimpse of the good man he can be.
Nix is a firecracker from the get go. She isn't afraid to hold her own. Her mouth matches her HUGE personality. I instantly liked her as she loathed Jaeger so very much! Jaeger will stop at nothing to get into Nix's pants and as much as she tries to fight it she is confused by why she is attracted to such a man as Jaeger.
This book will bring out many different emotions. I found myself laughing, pissed, and my heart even broke along the way. I couldn't stop turning the pages of this book. It was that good. Be prepared to take a wild hard ride as this book is full of twists and turns that you will never see coming. You have to read this book.
This book is not for the faint of heart it is raw, emotional, violent, sexy and well as the title says it is just plain Gritty!! I loved this book so much!!
I was given this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Jaeger and Nix – what can I say, oil and water. He is an arrogant, egotistical motorcycle club president. She’s a farm girl - kind, shy and trying to keep her head above water, after he father’s gambling debts have taken everything she’s ever known. When they meet you know it’s going to hit the fan.
In his former life, as a fighter, Jaeger catches a glimpse of a beautiful redhead. He can’t get her out of his mind. Now, years later, he’s the president of the local motorcycle club. He is on his way to take a property someone defaulted payment on. When the door opens, he’s shocked to find a gun pointed in his direction and “Red” holding it. She’s his girl, the girl he’s been lusting over for years. How lucky can he be, or is he?
How can a man like Jaeger fall for a beauty like Nix? How can Nix fall for someone so hardcore and alpha like Jaeger?
This is an erotic story about MC clubs, guns, drugs, rival gangs and kidnapping. Some scenes made me want to crack Jaeger in the head and others I wanted to hug him. He’s a true anti-hero and he meets his match in Nix.
Not your typical MC story, this has it all - panty melting sex scenes, a plot that will keep you guessing, a surprise cameo (LOVED IT) and an ending that makes this story a 5 star read.
Jaeger Dalton is ready to call on a debt, as President of Hunters MC Club he knows how to handle a problem swiftly. He plans to take Freedom Run from the man who has defaulted, even if it means dealing with his son. Of course it is not often that Jaeger is caught off guard until he meets Phoenix Ward.
Jaeger is filthy, demanding, and calls to every seductive bone in your body. Phoenix is temperamental, head strong, and not going take any flack from Jaeger. Together they are combustible and quickly rise in favorite hero/heroine combo.
Loved this one, gritty, dirty, and perfectly written. Not for the faint of heart but if you are ready to take a thrill ride and delve into Grit, you will not be disappointed. New to me author and so excited to be willing to read more from this talented author.
Wow. Just wow. This was dark and gritty. The title was perfect.
Phoenix, or Nix, as her friends call her, is one tough chick. My only complaint about her is that she is always getting mad at Jaeger. Yes, he's crude and arrogant, but his lack of filter really makes him kind of cute. He's always thinking of sex and has no problem letting Nix know. Rather than get mad, she should've laughed it off.
The best part of this? It's told mainly from Jaeger's point of view. I love reading romances written from the male view point :)
Wow What an idiot Jaeger is? How can a man who is so hot and in control of his body be so clueless about love. This is a great book to read, it has a style all of it's own. How does love prevail and how does he get his girl, sorry woman? This was a page turner it kept me enthralled until the end, it made me laugh, gasp and cringe but also warmed my heart. Loved the character inserts from her other books A job well done!
I enjoyed this story, MC club wise this was probably as gritty as I can take it .The Hero is unapologetically arrogant in his attitude, but not to the point of being an idiot . But best of all the heroine calls him on it all the time, and isn't a pushover.
I received this book for free via the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review
Jaeger is a young man with a pretty hard past, he is now the president of a MC club, before that, he was a street fighter and even a drug dealer- He lives his life under his own terms, getting sex everywhere and being a strong Prez for his club. Five years ago as he was fighting he saw a red-haired girl; he didn’t meet her but never forget anything about her. He usually fantasies with her but he doesn’t know her name or anything. Maybe he never will meet her again. Dillon is a young woman with a hard past too, even her present is very sad. Her mom died when she was a child, her dad recently died in a car accident, he left her too many doubts most of them with dangerous people. Dillon is trying not losing her farm. She doesn’t have a frigging idea what her dad did for money. What will happen when the creditors knock her door?
I am not into MC books I only can remember Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan , but I asked read and review this book because Margaret always will guarantee polemic books if you know what I mean.
I must to say I really enjoyed this book because it took me out of my comfort zone and dragged me in a dangerous, sexy, mind-blowing new world for me. Jaeger is an ultimate bad boy, he doesn’t know a sweet word in his vocabulary, he doesn’t do relationship, dates, flowers, or candies, and he never will do. I love him for that. I’m a little frigging tired about those sexy, wilds, b .ad-ass guys turned into tamed, sweet boys… you know?
Dillon, sorry, Phoenix was another surprise, she wasn’t the naïve girl, but she wasn’t a whore. She was a little contradictory because she felt an intense attraction for Jaeger but she didn’t want to surrender to him, but sometimes she did it.
Their relationship was like them, intense, fierce, steamy, sensual, honest, but always hot. The storyline will keep you turning pages, immerse in their world, discovering mysteries, having heartbreaking, intense moments; laughing with Jaeger’s thoughts and wisecracks.
The dual POV was exquisite, but my favorite was Jaeger’s, the author wrote a real, twisted, brutally sincere man… he always was thinking in sex, dirty sex by the way, he never understand the girly attitude of Dillon. Love him
So how many stars deserve Grit by Margaret McHeyzer? Let’s see
Conectable, kick-ass female character? Check Sexy, dangerous, sincere, scorching hot, tattooed, biker male character? Oh My God check Intense, dark, twisted storyline? Check Sensual, erotic scenes? Check, check and check Book boyfriend material? Check Bottom line? My rate is 4 sinful stars Because this book is
Unconventional, sexy, dark, and passionate Grit by Margaret McHeyzer will take you by a wet panties ride.

Wow! This book was so much better than I thought it was going to be. I freaking love this book! I must be honest in the beginning, say the first couple of chapters...nope say the first couple pages I was not feeling Jaeger at all. I thought he was a rude, selfish self-centered jerk and honestly that didn't really changed with him. He was still all those things by the books end. But the difference was I come to find out that he wasn't a mean jerk. He also was loyal and protected what he saw as his. He was who he was and that was it. He believed in telling it how he it saw it. Jaeger knew he was an jerk but he was not a liar. And I liked that about him. He also had no filter at all. I mean whatever came across his mind came out his mouth. You just couldn't help shaking your head at him but laughing too. He was just so serious and he couldn't understand why half the time Nix was upset with him. It was cute sometimes and the other times I wanted to smack him upside his head. But he grew on me and by the end of the book I loved who he was and became.
I loved the interacting between him and Nix. Those two had so much passion between them and I mean it got seriously hot at times. Nix tired to fight it because she didn't believe Jaeger was who she wanted and should be with. Plus he was always saying things he shouldn't, remember the no filter thing. Yeah. That drove Nix nuts but it also made her hot. She loved his dirty talking but then he would go and say something stupid right after and she was ready to kill him again. I loved seeing their relationship develop and both realizing that they both loved each other. I loved that Jaeger didn't sleep with anyone else once Nix came back to the clubhouse. I loved everything about this book.
This book had hot sex, great chemistry, drama, betrayal, death, bad guys, good guys, in-between guys, motorcycle clubs, a feisty heroine and a dirty talking alpha male.
5 stars for me! Definitely would recommend this book and a reread in the future!
Ive had this on my kindle since this book first came out. I'm not sure why I didn't pick it up earlier but since I've been having a hard time finding good books I figured now was the time to read this one. Unfortunately this was not a good book. I keep thinking to myself why are you reading this and I believe its because the author has a great way with telling stories and this book just flowed so well. What didn't unfortunately is the hero. I love a good jerk hero but they have to redeem themselves and I don't believe he did. I was actually a little surprised he didn't cheat on the heroine.
The hero at 63% I loved the heroine she didn't put up with crap and was amazing in this book I really loved her. I also really loved Sarge the heroes friend and I think I would have liked a book for him even better. Another warning is this book is very graphic and there are triggers in this book that many will have a hard time with including I know many have loved this book and like I said this author did a great job getting me in this book(I finished it in one day) and I loved her writing style this book unfortunately wasn't for me.
Grit is the first biker book I have read, so I started reading not knowing what to expect. It is the story of Jaeger and Nix. Jaeger is the Prez of the Hunters MC and an admitted a**hole. Nix is a firecracker of a woman who ends up in his protection on a trip to collect a debt. Nix is far from weak, and fights Jaeger every step of the way. I went through pretty much the entire spectrum of emotions while getting lost in the story. Following in the steps of her previous novels, Margaret McHeyzer has managed to suck me into her world yet again, and I couldn't put the book down until I had finished it. She won't let you go til you reach the last page!
Very enjoyable read, love the clashes between Nix and Jaeger. Talk about opposites attract! Interesting plot with everything from rival MC's to trafficking.
Grit was the first MC book I’ve read and I’m addicted. I loved Jaeger. He comes from a broken home and had to fight (literally) for everything. He works his way up the fighting ranks because he has serious talent. Jaeger is all about his club. He started it with his VP and makes decisions based on what’s best for all.
He’s off to collect on a gambling debt when he runs into Phoenix.
Phoenix’s father owes Jaeger a lot of money (not just to Jaeger’s club) and he’s two weeks behind on his payments. When Jaeger knocks on the door he finds himself staring at a shot gun. Phoenix is suffering the loss of her father and the realization that he gambled everything away -EVERYTHING!
And so the story begins. Jaeger quickly realizes Phoenix is a girl he’s been dreaming about for years. He’d seen her at one of his matches and is thrown by the fact that he is staring at her. He doesn’t have much time to contemplate this because he soon discovers her father’s debts are huge.
I loved Jaeger! He is just so clueless when it comes to women. He’s only ever had “whores” so when he meets Phoenix and discovers she isn’t like the women he’s met in the past he is just at a loss. I smiled so much during their banter. She doesn’t take his crap and he’s often working himself out of a mess because he’s stuck his foot in his mouth. He’s also very protective and quickly claims Phoenix as his.
Phoenix wants nothing to do with Jaeger yet she’s totally drawn to him and can’t stop herself. She tries really hard to fight off her attraction but it just doesn’t work. Even with Jaeger’s dumb comments she still can’t seem to stop herself. I love it! They are just so attracted to one another and they both try to fight it in their own way for their own reasons.
However, there is a lot of danger out there. Phoenix’s dad totally screwed her and Jaeger needs to fight to get her safe. Can he keep her safe from a rival gang and a drug lord? Read it to find out!
Margaret is one of my favorite authors. I’ve read her last three releases and she always sucks me in with her stories and Grit is no different. Grit will suck you in and you won’t be able to stop reading until you reach the end.
Holy freakin' hell... I. Am. Stunned! I seriously thought this book was going to be your basic run-of-the-mill MC story... boy, was I wrong! So much to tell, so much to absorb, and so much angst and chaos that my cup runneth over with sex and swears and violence! Almost immediately you're thrust into the world of the Hunter Motorcycle Club and the attempt to collect a debt., but wait till you see what's waiting for them!
Jaeger is a total jerkface alpha and I'd seriously like to boot him in the family jewels even now! I guess he grew on me, but his mouth sure didn't. He talks so crude and rough even to the girls that I almost choked on my coffee while reading some of the shit coming out of his mouth. Just about every thing that came out of that dirty ass thing made me want to throat punch the hell out of him! Trust me, I'm not a delicate flower... I've been known to impersonate a damn truck driver myself, but hell, I know when to stop. I'm not so sure about Jaeger. Although his mouth needs a good washing out, his intentions are good. He's an all around good guy with a heart of gold and for that I'll let him stay in my mind a little longer!
Nix I fell in love with immediately. She's one of those female leads that doesn't take any crap, tells it like it is, and stands her ground in the face of danger. Even in a situation that would hurt her physically, she'd take the pain on herself to avoid her friends feeling any of that pain. That right there is enough for me to add her to my arsenal of favorite female leads.
Great supporting character cast in Milina, Sarge, Aaron, Cain, Sandy, and the rest of the gang. Good or bad, they all played an important part in bringing this tale full circle. There were great friends, fierce enemies, and excellent villains.
All in all, the dialogue flows nicely (even the dirty parts)!! The pacing is a little fast, but I like that sort of thing. It doesn't hang on one part of the story too long and just keeps you moving right along with this heart wrenching tale. It's 226 (Kindle version) pages long and was absolutely effortless to read.
I read and reviewed Monster Chef and then saw that the same author had another book on Net Galley…Grit. One-click request and the boom! Jaeger the dirty talking, sex-on-a-stick, bloody knuckled MC president was all mine.
Jaeger had a shite life…need say more. Phoenix had a hard but decent life. Her father and uncle were both useless and worthless gamblers, but she had the farm and loved the land. Then the whole thing came to a head resulting in being claimed by more than one bad, bad, bad man. Choosing the lesser of all three evils, and you can say in a way that she choose Jaeger, Nix struggles to make sense of her new reality. I liked that she didn’t immediately swoon, nor did she turn into a raving beeyach. She was appreciative to all the guys who risked their lives for her.
The characters were all deep and real (as real I know MCs anyhow…) but it was the dialogue that had me. J has absolutely NO filter. He says what he is thinking…all. The. Time. Needless to say, what he is thinking when with Nix is not always romantic or even polite (but certainly HAWT)! Nix, she couldn’t get past his “soft side” flipping to his crude side within a nanosecond. One thought she is thinking that he isn’t so bad and then next he says or does something so OTT that she’s rethinking. Hilarious and entertaining. I highly recommend this one…so why the 4 not 5 stars…Hmmm…not to be too spoilery but I do not want to read about the abuse/brutality of women and while I know that it was to depict a particularly devoid character, I just skimmed those parts as I found them too much for me. Enjoy!
