Jase Collins lives for the stage and the perks of rock stardom. His wild antics and high-profile affairs have earned the sexy drummer the title of Hot Wired’s bad boy. He’s not quite as jaded as his fans think — but just jaded enough not to recognize the best thing that’s ever happened to him until she walks out of his life. And he doesn’t even know her name.
But without harmony, a man is lost.
Fallon Morgan has had her life mapped out since high school. She’s earned a full ride scholarship to UCLA with the driving goal of earning her doctorate. Nothing can derail her dreams — except maybe a one-night stand with the infamous Jase Collins. His chilly reception the morning after convinces her to put her biggest mistake in the past and move on without looking back.
When two hearts begin to beat as one…
When Fallon’s life takes a dramatic turn, she finds herself with no one else to turn to for help. Jase is obnoxious, demanding, and yet surprisingly tender. Though it chafes her to depend on him, the more time she spends with him changes her perceptions of the bad boy rocker. With each passing day she finds more and more faith in the man behind the public persona. If she can learn to trust her feelings, she might be willing to risk her heart.
I’m a Southern princess—haha—nah! I am Southern, but I came from the wrong side of the tracks in a small Alabama town, just 30 minutes from the Florida state line. I have a dirty mind and I’m not afraid to use it. I live in a small rural town on 40 acres with my husband, dogs, a cat with tortitude (aka a tortie American Bobtail with attitude), cows, horses, and chickens. Everyone seems to love my twang even though I don’t hear it. Are y’all sure I have one?
I love all things paranormal and I drop curse words like commas, so I’m not your typical Southern Belle. All the same... Sweet Home Alabama, y’all!

In the New Adult novel, Lost in the Beat by Gracen Miller, we're submerged once again into the rocker lives of Gracen Miller's characters in the Hot Wired Series. I couldn't get enough of Fang in book one, but book two has hip-bumped the band's vocalist aside and drummer boy Jase is now in the lead.
In book one, Rockin' the Heart, Jase was portrayed as an overprotective brother who's set in his ways. In book two, we find that's not all there is to Jase Collins. We see a side of him that we didn't know existed when he's called to a paternity hearing. Yes, his crazy one night stands have finally landed him in court and with a pitter patter of little feet. But when Jase and his lawyer decide to settle outside of court, he doesn't expect to find Fallon sitting pretty in the room where the settlement is to take place. He quickly finds that Fallon, the one girl that spiked his interest enough to have made him hire an investigator to track her down, is more stubborn than he.
Now, the question is, will this relationship end in a custody battle, or will it end in a fight to win Fallon over? You'll have to read it to find out.
The best thing about this series, aside from the great character development, is that each book carries its own storyline and can be read as a stand alone book. Of course, you might be left out of the loop on the intros to the other characters' backstories if you don't pick up the series from book one, Rockin' the Heart, which I highly recommend you read, too. However, Miller does revisit and remind us of these backstories in paraphrased inner dialogue, so the story is very easy to follow.
In regards to the quality of Gracen Miller's writing style in this book, I'd say it's like a savory cake⎯layered with great prose, frosted with romance, and sprinkled with steamy scenes that'll make your eyes widen at first sight. And having said that, I rate this book 5 steamy brilliant stars.
*I recommend this book to readers 18+ years and older.
FREAKIN AWESOME book...LOVED IT!!!! Full review to come closer to release day..
FULL REVIEW: Boy did things spice up in the second installment of the Hot Wired series by Gracen Miller. After reading Rockin the Heart, I had no idea what we would be handed next and let me say..Gracen Miller has turned up the steamy suspense as we get to dive more in to Jase's life. I gotta say, I wasn't really excited about him..After you meet him in Rockin the Heart, I was like...ummm...MEGA arsehole!!! This just goes to show how phenomenal Gracen is as a writer. She took this in your face, blunt speaking, man and made me change my thoughts of him...Now, don't get me wrong...he is still an arsehole...BUT, in Lost in the Beat we get to see a whole other side to him... Things I would never have guessed about him...which brings in Fallon... This fiery red head truly rocks his world and is set in her self-sufficient ways...Jase and Fallon butt heads more than get along... Do these two compromise and come together for the good of their daughter? Will passion ignite and burn out quick?? Or will these two get Lost in the Beat?? An awesome read that is gut-wrenching, heart-warming, and over all amazing!!!!
Bad boy Jase Collins has always enjoyed his life style. As the drummer of the hottest band around, Hot Wired, he has his choice of women and his relationships rarely last more than one night. One night is all it can take to change your life. Fallon Morgan finds this out her one night with Jase. Jase knew when it happened that something was different about her but he doesn't even know her name. When Fallon has no choice but to introduce Jase to Faith he finds out who she is. Now both women hold his heart and while Faith loves him instantly will he give up his bad boy ways to prove himself worthy of Fallon's love?
Gracen never ceases to amaze me. It's a given that anything she writes is gonna be good but it still blows me away at the depth and uniqueness of her characters. They're always so real and detailed that you can't help but think of them as real people. It draws you in to their story even farther and you end up as lost in the story as the characters are Lost In The Beat.
Love Fallon and Jase, he’s such a softy with faith and Fallon. Just makes you feel gooey with his affection. So happy Fallon and Jase finally admitted they loved each other. Such a great book.
Once again she rocks this reader's world with the second in the Hot Wired series. What happens when an insecure nerd has a one night stand with a Rocker that leaves her with more than just a great memory? Read this and find out.

My Review ~
This is the second book in Gracen Miller's Hot Wired series..and damn is it ever HOT!! I do suggest reading the first book, Rockin' The Heart so you meet all the characters and don't miss a minute of the yummy rockstar goodness.
Fallon had her life laid out before her, she knew where she was going and how she was getting there. Until life, and one sexy rock god, threw her a curve ball and changed it all. She ends up giving it all up to take care of her adorable baby girl, Faith. Unfortunately she hides it from Jase until Faith is almost 4 months old. When he finally finds out, things doesn't go how Fallon expected them to work. Jase wants to claim his girls for himself and never let them go.
Jase gives off the cocky, rock god attitude in spades. With all the trouble Sammy had gotten into and, Jase himself having a hot temper, he plays it up to the paparazzi that he is a bad, bad boy. He really isn't though, which he showed in his dealings with his sister, Sam, and his band members. They ARE his family and they are the most important people in the world to him. Now he has two more very important people in his life, his daughter Faith, and Fallon. Jase will do anything for "His Girls" and anything to prove to Fallon that he will be there for Faith and her as well.
Jase has been searching for Fallon since he woke up after his accident, he even hired private detectives to look for her without any luck. Now, having her there, he wants it all but he keeps holding back. Fallon is just as bad, she wants him and falls deeper and deeper into him every day. Neither one of them want to give in, leave themselves vulnerable because both realize that the other person could crush them if they were to leave.
I loved Fallon's strength in this story, the love she shows for her daughter, and her playful side that just peeks out in tiny moments with Jase. Fallon swallows her pride, in her eyes, to contact Jase so her daughter can have a better life. Which we all know a mom SHOULD do, but it's not always what they WOULD do, because Pride is a very dangerous mine field. Then we have Jase, who from the moment he meets his baby girl is in utter love and becomes this big old softy with Faith in his arms. It is adorable to read his interaction with her, trying to make her laugh, just talking to her, or sleeping on the couch with her tucked under his chin. If that doesn't make Fallon melt into a puddle for him.. she is crazy! Oh, and I can't forget the bandmates and Sam, who all rally around and accept Fallon and Faith into the fold like they've always been family.
This book is laced with lots of Gracen Miller's fantastic story telling. I always enjoy her characters, along with the storyline, and the world she creates around them. She keeps her characters true to themselves, showcases their strengths and weaknesses in equal measure, and also allows them to show growth through what they go through. Let me tell you the HEAT in this book is fiery hot! Jase and Fallon literally burn up the pages of Lost In The Beat. I can't wait to read more about the bandmates, and from what I saw in this book, Keys might be next!!
I'd recommend this book for anyone that loves their rock gods with a snarky attitude, love for their family, and oozing sex appeal. So if you love Michelle Valentine, Terri Anne Browning, or Lauren Dane's Brown Sibling series, this is definitely a book and a series for you to read! ~ Reviewed by Chris
Wowza! Sweet and steamy story about two young lovers whose last and only encounter left them with a little bundle of joy and bound them for life. Firstly, let me clarify that when I say “sweet” it’s because there are some sweet elements in the story and because I consider Fallon, our heroine, a very innocent girl trying to understand her heart and trying to find her place in the world. However, she is no naiveté when it comes to Jase, our rocker hero. As inexperienced as she was, she always knew what to do when she was with him ;) So no sweetness when it comes to their hot and steamy encounters!! Jase is the drummer of super famous band Hot Wired (I would call it Sex Wired since all they seem to think about is sex but then again boy will be boys). He and Fallon meet at a concert when she was a pre-med college girl, and the last thing on her mind was a relationship and/or a BABY. Jase of course singles out pretty-faced, red-headed Fallon and charms her into his bed. About a year later, unable to make ends meet, and pride bruised, Fallon decides she has no other choice but to seek Jase and ask for his financial assistance for daycare for the child she conceived as a result of their one-night stand. Her attitude makes Jase furious. Why did she not tell him of the baby until now? What on earth made her think he'd only give her money and want nothing with the baby? Or her? And thus their story begins. I liked Fallon, like a lot. I think at her age, and even at my age, I would have reacted the same way she did. She only sought Jase when she realized all her options had been spent. Some may think she was being selfish but I say she was showing dignity. Besides, no one likes rejection. Also, when she was with Jase, she was feeling uncomfortable when he was paying for everything. Hooray for non-freeloaders! Ha! Now Jase is not my type of guy. Oh, but don't take me wrong, I’m pretty sure if I met the guy I'd find him as irresistible and charming as any other groupie would. He was a rocker after all and he could get any woman he wanted. I just think he was showing a little too much angst against the world and he clearly couldn't control his temper at times but I can see why Fallon fell so hard for him. He was the quintessential good father and protector family man willing to do anything for those he cared about. He literally rocked his way into her heart and allowed her to see that soft side of his he only show to those really close to him. This is the second installment of the series but I'm so looking forward to the rest. So many fun, likable, honest, and relatable characters that I want to know more of. I was not a fan of contemporary rom but this series has significantly changed my views on the genre. I definitely recommend. *I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*
I admit it… I’m guilty. I own all of Gracen Miller’s books, but time constraints being what they are, I haven’t gotten a chance to read them. Bad, Iris! I think she is a great person and now I can tack on a fantastic author. From the moment I picked up Lost in the Beat I was hooked. Have you ever read a book that engrossed you so much from the very first page that you lose all track of time? Well I have and Lost in the Beat has moved to the top of that list. I picked it up at after the children had gone off to bed and settled in for a couple hours read. At least that was my intention. Reality is that several hours later my eyes are feeling gritty, I’m thirsty and when I look up, the clock reads 4am. Do I put the book down and get some sleep? Screw it… sleep is over rated. Back to the book.
There are any number of words to describe Jase. Having not read the first book in this series yet (yes, I said yet because I fully intend to) so I had no preconceived feelings or ideas about his character. Starting with a clean slate, I had the opportunity to see a beautiful side a person everyone kept referring to as the womanizing, bad boy rock god. Actually, I’m pretty sure even he refers to himself as such once or twice. That being said I fell in love with his character. The interactions between Jase, his sister, Fang and the rest of the band cemented it for me... this man is a keeper. If only Fallon could see it.
My only pet peeve, if it can even be called that is he claim that filing a paternity suit was the only way she knew how to find him. I call BS on that one. She obviously knew how to find his lawyer, therefore, she knew how to find him if she truly wanted to tell him. With that out of the way, the sweet natured romance between Fallon and Jase is enough to soften the heart of even this hardass (and yes, I have been referred to as such on multiple occasions). Although not lacking in sparks and with enough chemistry to blow up Times Square, Miller wrote us s a story where the characters take the time to actually get to know each other not just jump in to bed together the first time they’re in a room with a flat surface.
If you have not read Lost in the Beat, I recommend you run out and get it ASAP, you most certainly not regret it. While you’re at it, you may want to pick up book 1 in the Hot Wired series, Rockin’ the Heart. I have no doubt that if book 1 is half as good as book 2, it will become one of my all time favorites that I will be pulling out for rereads several times.
***** I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review, but I went out and bought it anyway. Yup.. it was that good.
'I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review'
Jase loves being a rock star and the perks that go with it. Especially the women. Before his car accident he had one amazing night with an amazing woman who he was actually trying to find, he just couldn't get her out of his head. When he finds out that he is being taken to court for a paternity suit and finds out after a DNA test that the child is in fact his he is flabbergasted until he walks in the room at the lawyers office and see's her. The one that got away. He is livid though that she did not contact him before this that he was a father. So he plays hardball an gets it to where Fallon and baby Faith have to live with him until Faith's first birthday. Which means he has some time to get Fallon to fall in love with him.
Fallon did not want to go to that concert with her Sorority Sisters. She definitely did not plan on sleeping with and losing her virginity to the gorgeous drummer. But when he picked her she couldn't say no. She didn't think that Jase would want a baby with his lifestyle so she chose not to tell him until things got too overwhelming and she needed his help to pay for daycare. She did not expect the outcome of the meeting at the lawyers office. Now she has to live at Jase's house, he's buying things like crazy for baby Faith and taking to fatherhood like you wouldn't believe. The longer she is there the longer she knows that she is at risk of falling in love with him but Jase is not a one woman guy? Will she be able to put the faith in him that she asks for or when her time to stay there is up will she leave?
My Opinion:
I have to admit. After the first book I was NOT a fan of Jase. He was a class A jerk! The way that he treated his sister and best friend was just wrong. However once he found out that he was a father he was definitely a better person in my eyes and even made me like him. I love these type of books and I enjoy the authors writing. I am definitely a fan after reading books one and two in this series and I can't wait to read more of her books. I will be on the lookout for the rest of this series also. This book can be read as a stand alone however I do recommend reading book 1 first. It will make it easier to keep track of who the characters are and has the beginning of Jase and Fallon!
You know the American dream that's sold to us from the time we're small that tells us we're supposed to want the house, the husband, the dog, the 2.5 kids, and the white picket fence? Most women buy into that and work towards that goal their whole lives. Unless you'd like to turn all your hopes and dreams on their heads and totally derail all your plans, do not read this book. Your nice white picket fence and responsible hubby with a stable job are going to look like a waste of your life after you meet Jase Collins. After reading this book you may never be satisfied until you find a rocker boy of your own and make him yours. Jase is just that hot! We've all done things we've regretted, or made a mistake we've had to pay a price for, but Fallon Morgan messed up in the luckiest way ever when she had a one night stand with Jase. This man is a hot bad boy drummer who always has everything his way and makes it so by sheer force of personality. Until Fallon, all he wanted was the party life with drugs and women in abundance. Until her encounter with Jase, all Fallon wanted was to make it through med school. Circumstances (that are unexpected and unbelievably sweet) change things for both of them over the course of time throughout this book. By the end, the author has revealed enough character development to see the heart of gold that resides in Jase buried deep behind the rocker façade that's portrayed to his fans and the public. We actually go through the evolution of Fallon's character that begins with her narrow view of life that involves only her goals for the future to the exclusion of all else and ends with her realizing there's room for more in her life than just bare basics. This book has elements of Pretty Woman (minus the money changing hands) and 50 Shades (minus the bondage) which mix together nicely to create a warm gooey feeling in your heart… and panties. All the character and story niceties aside… this book is smokin' hot! It's not just a bodice ripper, there is a plot, but the sexual tension is unreal! This, like all the other Gracen Miller books I've been lucky enough to get my hands on, is a must read!
I loved these kind of books where you get a new person for each book, even better when we're dealing with hot rockers. First book were Fang and Sam's story and now it's Jase, Sam's brother who has to deal with big changes in his life.
Jase has for a long time enjoyed his life as a rocker and the perks that came with it. He thrives as the bad boy of the band, but there's more to him than just the bad boy the media shows. Fallons have always known what she wanted with her life. She has a scholarship to UCLA to become a doctor, that's her dream. But one night with Jase and everything has changed. turns out their night together brought more than they thought.
Ever since Rockin' the heart ended I have been eager to see what was in store for Jase and his mysterious girl that got away. The Jase we get to see in Rockin' the heart is mostly the overprotective brother, but in Lost in the Beat we find out there's much more to him than just that and bad boy rocker. I loved seeing this new side of him, he is simply amazing. I really admire Fallon, she has had to deal with a lot and got through it all, she's strong, but also very stubborn- something that drives Jase crazy. I love their banter, it's just so cute. As always Gracen has developed some amazing characters that you'll love. I also loved getting glimpses of Fang and Sam and seeing how their life is turning out.
I know there's probably other reviews out there that reveal what the big change is for Jase and Fallon for that matter, but I just loved being that surprised myself so I won't reveal what it is, all I can say is that it's another great book and if you've read the first it's a must read, but even if you haven't you'd still be able to read this. The writing is as good as ever and I loved being in both Jase and Fallon's head and seeing what they were both feeling about the whole situation.
Lost in the Beat is one amazing second book. I loved Jase and Fallon's story and where it took them.
5 Sizzling Hot Wired Stars for both Rockin’ the Heart and Lost in the Beat!
I am certainly a fan of all things Hot Wired! My first love was Fang, the lead singer and Hero in Rockin’ The Heart, book 1 in the Hot Wired series. I was absolutely excited and could not wait for Jase’s story, so, let’s get down to the review!
Jase shocked me a bit with his attitude. Yes, I knew he could be an a*shole, what band member, or male at that, isn’t? I could, but will NOT, give away what peeved me most, as it has to do with the plot of the story. But, at the same time, I understood where he was coming from. He was kept in the dark about a major event that involved him. So this brings me to Fallon.
Fallon, Fallon. What were you thinking, girl? I understand why you didn’t want to generate attention, especially from the media, but when two parties are involved and the main player isn’t informed of his superb little swimmers hitting a home run, well, that’s kind of a strike out on your part. But then there were no other choices and you finally made the right call so I have to give the girl credit for that. Andddd! I ended up truly loving Fallon. Mostly for standing up to Jase when I wanted to punch him and kick his a*s out.
Of course, all good story tellers create plenty of angst, piss you off moments, want to hurl the hero, and then the heroine, and by the end of the story, you love every single bit of it because it all works out one way or another. For me, that’s what a good read is all about. So here is me grabbing Gracen Miller by the cheeks (face cheeks, jeez!) and telling her “Excellent Job! I heart your Hot Wired series!”
5 Sizzling Hot Wired Stars for both Rockin’ the Heart and Lost in the Beat! Did I mention I LOVE the covers? I LOVE THE COVERS! And since I bought the paperback for Rockin’, I’ll have to have this one as well, just because! Mwahhhhh!
I loved reading Jase and Fallon's story!! I was curious about Jase after just meeting him in Rockin the Heart and was very happy when I heard he was getting his own book. Jase is such a contridiction between his rock star persona and who he really is around those who know and love him. He claims to be such a bad guy and always makes the wrong choices but deep down he was good, caring, and a genuinely nice person (don't tell the press that!). Fallon was very much so not what I expected. She was such a strong person that is almost is her downfall. She is so use to taking care of everything on her own and being independent that she almost misses some of the best things in her life. I kept crossing my fingers that Fallon would learn to trust those who cared the most about her and Faith. Oh my goodness, Faith, what an adorable sounding little girl! I hope to read more about her in other books because she sounds like she would be awesome as she grows up! How could she not be with Jase and Fallon for parents, Sam for her aunt, and the Hot Wired guys as uncles. I am sure Omega will be a fun honorary uncle as well. Back to Jase and Fallon. The way they interacted with each other was so great that I did not put the book down once I got started. I enjoyed watching Fallon grow more confident in handling the press and Tab the bands manager. I loved her confronting Tab about how she would do what Tab said because she was involved with the band. I think that is why she and Jase fit so well together is they both are strong people who stand up for their family and what is best for their family. I hope that the rest of the band gets their stories told as well. I would love to know more about Derr and Keys. They both figure in this very unusual but still wonderful family. I give Lost in the Beat five stars! I can't wait to read more about the Hot Wired family. I will be recommending this book to my friends and family. Gracen is an amazing author and I love her books!!
Remember that girl with no namethat Jase slept with in book one?
Book two in this series starts with a massive bang!
Jase is the sexy rockstar brother of Sam collins, before his car accident he spent one amazing night with beautiful woman who he was trying really hard to find, he simply could not get this amazing woman out of his head. When he finds out that he is being taken to court for a paternity test, that the child is actaully his, he is totally flabbergasted until he walks into the room at the lawyers office and see's her.The one girl that got away. he is completly livid that she did not contact him before this that he was a father. Jase plays hardball and makes hard demands from Fallon.
Fallon is trying to do what is right for her baby girl Faith after waiting till she is 4 months old before looking for help. She is also a little spit fire, the way she handled the press and Tab the bands manager after the way he spoke to her.
Will Jase get what he wants his daughter and the girl that got away or will Fallon walk away for the second time?
MY THOUGHTS
This is was a brillant sequel to the first book, this book drew me in as much if not more than the first book.
Although I thought Jase was a complete jack-ass in book one with his sister and best friend. He was a total jerk in this book and I felt that Fallon should of given him a right slap or kneed him in the crown jewels for the way he spoke to her in the beginning.
This book is seriously HOT, you can feel the heat between the two leads, I loved this book as much as the first. I would love to hear more from Jase and Fang but I cannot wait to read more of the other members of hot wired as well.
Gracen never fails to bring the HOTNESS with her rockstars. Highly recommended to everyone who loves rockstars.
review by LM @AUTHOR2AUTHORBLOGCHAT. 27TH SEPTEMBER
What's hotter than a bad boy rocker? A bad boy rocker with a baby! *cue swooning* Careful, folks. This is one scorching read!
Like with all of Miller's books, Lost in the Beat is a very well written story, full of sexy and snark. Toss in previously mentioned rock god and a young, innocent and fiery red head with chemistry so hot, they blow the roof off completely, and you have a hell of a story! I flew through it because I could not get enough!
I'm not a huge fan of contemporary romance, but I love this Rockin' series! Gracen is able to switch between sexy, funny, and beautiful moments with such grace. :) You can't help but want to cheer these characters on!
What I loved most about the story was the phenomenal character development. These characters feel like real people. They're so three dimensional and flawed, yet compliment each other perfectly. Especially Jase. (Can you say new book Boyfran?) He's tough, tattooed, and doesn't care if you don't like it. But underneath the rough exterior, he's a great guy who visits cancer centers and loves his family. Seeing him fall head over heels for Fallon, someone so different from him, and care for Faith was unbelievably sweet. Fallon is the best type of female character. She's incredibly strong and determined, even when the odds are against her.
All Jase's band mates, and sister, are back in this one and I love how they interact with each other throughout the story.
I am eagerly anticipating the rest of this series!
Definitely check these out if you love contemporary romance, rockers, or are just looking for a sexy read!
I cannot get enough of Gracen’s sexy, tattooed, bad boy rockers, from her Hot Wired series. I am seriously hooked on them. But they are not everything the media makes them out to be. They are bad boys but they all have a heart of gold and will do anything for the ones they love. Just like in the first book these rockin bad boys will leave you breathless and wanting more!
To say that Jase and Fallon’s relationship is complicated is an understatement especially with so many things stacked against them. But there is one thing that can bring them together. But Fallon has to learn to trust the wild bad boy and Jase needs to learn to tame his wild ways and show Fallon that she can trust him with her heart.
I fell in love with Jase in book one and I couldn’t wait to read more about him and let me tell you he definitely does not disappoint. He is just as sexy as I remember him to be. I really didn’t have a feel for Fallon from the previous book as she wasn’t in it much but obviously that changes in this one. She is a great heroine and I really loved watching both her and Jase grow so much during this book. Gracen does a wonderful job with her characters and she makes you feel like you can know them and grow right along with them in the story. I definitely need the next book in this series as I am hooked on these sexy rocker boys. 5/5 Bloody Fangs
Author: Gracen Miller Title: Lost in the Beat Over 18's ONLY Series: Hot Wired
I loved the first in the series Rockin the Beat, Lost in the beat, literally rocks, I had to stay up to finish it, because I just could not put it down, holy hell it was hot, I have fallen in love with Jase, move over Fang there is a new stud in town, I must be really fickle, I seem to get a new book boyfriend every book I read, but I don't care, I will be eagerly awaiting the rest of the series, Miss Miller has made me fall in love with each band member, as each band member is a rock god with their own issues for you to fall in love with. I always envision each book that I read as happening on a screen, it helps me to see how I think the authors wish to portray the characters, Miss Miller made it exceptionally easy for me to do that, her writing is extremely fluid, the characters literally jumped out at me, you could imagine the plot line happening in real life, if it does I hope it happens just like the book. Jase and Fallon were a match made in heaven even if they did not think so, I realised half way through the book that I was hooked on every character, I was pulled into their life as a rock family, they all pulled together when the need arose, A great book and so far a great series, 5/5 Highly recommended to all,
Do you love hot and sexy drummers? Then you will absolutely love Jace! This bad boy drummer with a heart of gold is the man you will be salivating after for a long time! He is tall, tattooed and sexy as hell! His love hate relationship with his baby mama is just amazing! The author did an astounding job with these two characters. She had me wishing my baby's daddy was Jace!
TRACY'S REVIEW - 3.5 Stars
2nd story in the Hot Wired Series and I am somewhat disappointed in it. It was a great story line, although I knew what was going to occur from the way Rockin the Beat ended.
Why was I disappointed? I hated the way the author portrayed the relationship between Jase and Fallon. Jase was such a di*k when he found out that Fallon had hidden the birth of their daughter from him. Did he have a right to be angry? Absolutely. Did he need to treaten to take the baby away from her unless he got what he wanted? And don’t even get me started on how naïve Fallon was in all of this. She might as well have put a door mat on her because that is exactly what she became. I was a young single mother once, it paints us in a bad light.
I had high hopes for this one but was disappointed in the end. However, I will keep reading the Hot Wired Series because I like the author and I am anxious to see what happens to the other members of Hot Wired.
The curse of a lot of romance book series and writers in general, is that the books all start to sound alike, especially when you read them close together. That being said, Gracen Miller did not fall into that curse with this second Hot Wired book, and I hope she never does. Lost in the Beat was once again a read I simply could not put down. This time we are following Jase Collins, the band's drummer, as he tries to win over a groupie he simply cannot stop thinking about. Fallon Morgan, the groupie in question, is not sure that wild man, Jase can be a full time man in her life. His antics have given him quite the reputation.
Having read the first book and then this one right after, the beginning was a bit predictable, however did not take away from the enjoyment of the book at all. It was how the characters dealt with what was happening that made the book so incredible. You could feel their emotions, cried with their pain, even heated up when their passions got too high.
Like with the first book, I have and will recommend this to anyone who enjoys sexy romance stories. It is passionate and powerful and really makes your heart skip a beat. Gracen Miller, keep putting out stuff like this. It is wonderful!
If you've heard wonderful things about Author Gracen Miller and her HotWired series it's all unashamedly true. She totally "banged" the ball outta the park in book two LOST IN THE BEAT.
I received both books from the author to read and honestly review prior to the release of book 2 in the series.
This is the story of the drummer for Hot Wired, Jase and his mystery groupie whom he cannot get outta his head. One night with her (see book one, Rockin' the Heart) after a concert has him hoping to locate her. Having used an ID not her own she's just not meant to be found unless she wants to be found.
Surprised when he is sued over paternity of a baby girl by one Fallon Morgan. He has no clue who she is until their meeting at the lawyer's office. No spoilers! But from here is where the story truly grows more interesting as they learn to deal with each other, or not and where they will go from there.
The usual Hot Wired characters have plenty of page time so you get virtual eye candy to salivate over plus baby cuteness of little Faith, and more on the story of Fang & Sam with an upcoming wedding to plan.
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
After reading Rockin' the Heart, I was hooked on this series. Jase was a complete buttface in the first book, but that only made me want to get to know him more. I was really excited to find out that the next book was about him.
Then there's Fallon. She's awesome. Seriously, really freaking awesome. I wish I could explain this in further detail without spilling out half of the book while doing it. There's so many things that she does that are really admirable. She's quite possibly my new favorite Gracen character.
There's also a character who I'm pretty sure is me. I mean, she's a nanny and has great taste in books. Clearly Gracen had me in mind while writing her. *shifty eyes*
I really liked seeing a different side to Jase. This doesn't mean I still don't think he's a butt, because he is. But now I understand more about why he's a butt. And I want to smack him upside the head a little bit less.
Fallon Morgan had everything planned out. She was in her third year of med school on a full ride scholarship. She didn't want to go to a Hot Wired concert but her sorority sisters talked her into it. She woke up the next morning in Jase Collin' bed, and without knowing it, her life forever altered. All Jase wanted was to know her name but she wouldn't give it to him. She was different from the rest. He wanted to see her again. He even hired a private investigator to find her but no luck. It wasn't until 11 months later, she found him.
Even though Jase is arrogant, stubborn, and conceited, he has many other facets to his personality. The cancer center scene brought tears to my eyes and the way he is with Faith is so beautiful.
My first reaction to this book is WOW! I am loving this Hot Wired series. I was hooked from the start because there's never a dull moment. Gracen Miller has got another 5-Star review from this very satisfied reader.
My review for: Lost in the Beat by Gracen Miller My rating: 5 out of 5 stars Shanna Roberson
Ah! Gracen has done it again with this series! First off let me say how much I adore Rockin’ the Heart. Sam and Fang’s story pulled me in from the very beginning. Jase and Fallon’s story was no different.
Right off the bat, you fall in love with her. The good girl gone bad for one night and that one night changing her life forever. Hoping to never have to see Jase again and confess their biggest secret, Fallon finds herself having to go to him for help.
Jase can’t get Fallon out of his head, ever since she took off on him after their one night together. So when secrets are revealed that would change his life and bind it to Fallon’s forever, Jase jumps at the chance to change her mind about his bad boy persona. Will she let him show her that he can be good for her and his family? Or will she take off again on him?
Lost in the Beat is sexy, alluring and downright addictive. I really can’t wait for more! Gracen has a fan for life with me.
What an amazingly fabulously sexy and saucy story that left me wanting to read more. This book was extremely hard to put down and I enjoyed every single minute of it. It’s a story that will pull you in hook, line, and sinker and will keep you entertained and reading this incredible story from beginning to end. My heart and soul has been left in the pages of this memorable story and it is by far one of my favorites for 2014. I highly recommend this story to adults to read. I must say that this author has shown us that anything is possible and all destinies will be filled. I absolutely love this author’s work and I will say that she can still wow an audience right out of the books she writes and this one is no different. Thank you, Gracen, for another amazing book in the Rockin’ the Heart Series.
I received a complimentary e-copy of this book in return for an honest review.
Amazing read. I'm really enjoying the Hot Wired series. Whoremoger Jase finally meets his match in Fallon Morgan. She has given him all the things he never knew he wanted. Unexpected child that opened up his heart. Fallon was the one that got away, that had gotten under his skin and now he will do anything to keep her in his life. Fallon is too proud to accept all that Jase is offering her. She is not a groupie and only wants Jase's help to financially support Faith, not her. She is everything he ever wanted and he is the only person that ever protected her. They find their way to each other , bonding over their daughter. Throw in the rest of the band and Omega and you have some witty banter thrown into the story. Well written. I enjoyed Jase and Fallon's story!!

Readers will love this incredibly sexy, Steamy, Rockin’ Romance. Lost in The Beat will leave you breathless and wanting more! Jase and Fallon’s relationship is a bit completed, they have a lot of things stacked ageist them. But can one little thing change everything? Can Fallon learn to trust a man with such a wild past? And can Jase learn to tame his wild ways and open up and show her that she can trust a Rock Star?
The Characters were wonderfully written, they both grow and change a lot throughout the book Gracen Miller did an amazing job with this series. The sexual tension will leave you on the edge of your seat and needing one very cold shower! I highly recommend reading this if you love steamy romance and sexy bad boys!
Wow!! What can I say about this book! This is the second book in hotwired novels, which are a rockin band called what else hot wired. Lost in the beat is about Fallon always the good girl, and Jace, always the bad boy hot drummer. Fallon is convinced by her sorority sisters to have a one night stand with the hottest drummer ever. When she does she gets the shock of her life----the always good girl is now pregnant with a rock stars baby! This book is a fast paced rock and roll romance that had me "snared" right away!! I love how Jace was about family even with his Rockstar life. The characters had great chemistry and I totally fell in love with them both. I TOTALLY LOVED IT!!! I can't wait until I can read more from this rocking band.
The Hot Wired series is SMOKING FREAKING HOT! You cannot go wrong with a hot band and groupies. Ok so does it get sexy and hot? HELL YES! Is it for the faint of heart who does not like some good writing, hot steamy scenes and some serious moments that require cold showers? HELL NO!!! You need to be ready to love, hate and rock n roll when you read Lost in the Beat. Author Gracen Miller has captured the Rock n Roll life and what it is truly like to live the dream and nightmare of stardom. The roller coaster life of trying to please the fans and still manage to have a "real" life..is that even possible? Guess you will have to read the book!
What's that saying? Sex, Jase and Roll in the Hay? Sex, Hotness and Wet and Roll? Sex, Drums and Beating Something? Dammit! Never mind-this book got me so hot and bothered I can't think straight!
Once again, Gracen Miller rocks us with this second book in the Hot Wired Series. Jase and Fallon definitely change up the stereotypes of a Rock God and a Groupie. The book starts off as a typical one night stand, but then ventures into something that's emotional, hot, steamy and loving. It's a quick read because you don't want to stop until you find out what happens.
Gracen Miller knows how to deliver a rockin' good book! I'm looking forward to her next Hot Wired story!
By the time I finished reading the first book in this series I was a die hard Hot Wired groupie. These boys are smoking! Jase and Fallon's story is just as amazing as Fang and Sam's, maybe even more so. I loved seeing Jase's hidden side. The man had me melting. lol Fallon was a force to be reckoned with as the leding lady. I loved her stubborness and how she wanted so badly to do things on her own. Author Gracen Miller has an amazing talent for making readers go through emotional roller coasters that leave you begging for more. I'll be waiting impatiently for the next book in the series. I can't wait to find who the next book is about!
