An ancient evil stirs. The undead rise. And a lone hunter watches from the shadows.
With signs pointing to a powerful Warlock manipulating events from the shadows, Alex and his companions travel to the lakeside city of Verbana, hoping to find answers. But before they can act, a ruthless Necromancer unleashes an undead army, threatening to destroy everything in her path.
As cities fall and ancient threats awaken, Alex leads his team into the depths of the Deathwood—a place soaked in blood and legend. There, a chance encounter with Meera, a deadly Lionkin warrior with no clan and a haunted past, could mean the difference between survival and annihilation.
Bound by love, loyalty, and the powers they share, Alex’s growing circle of companions must face their greatest challenge yet. Because in a world where magic runs wild and enemies wear familiar faces, the only family worth fighting for is the one you choose.
Perfect for fans of fast-paced fantasy, reluctant heroes, and found-family camaraderie, Hunter is the next thrilling step in the Alex Khan saga.
A definite can't put down story!!! This author has mastered the storytelling ability of capturing the readers imagination completely!!! Every turn of the page draws you in deeper till the end and you crave more!!! Wonderful characters both old and new with wonderful adventures!!!
The author carefully crafts a beautiful and deep story that blends the numerous characters masterfully. I am very glad to finally have another story in this series. As with the prior books of this series, this book is very well paced and the characters expertly handled - with respect. Anxious awaiting Book 5! Thank you Mr. West.
What a fun, exciting, and awesome book. Plenty of action, evil villains, beautiful LI’s. It was a wonderful ride. I can’t wait to see what happens in book #5.
Absolutely fantastic, another brilliant story, excellent fight scenes, wonderful baddies, superb team of females, with good characters and fighting excellence. Gary Challenger from Devon UK.
I like to think of these things as old-fashioned pulp, if they’d been allowed to include shagging. Good example of the genre. Engaging, if, obviously, quite stupid at times.
This was a much better book because it solved the problem I had been complaining about in the last couple of books. Alex was just supposed to be a caravan guard. Why was he so involved in stopping assassination plots and political intrigue. Saying he was a guard and it was his job to make sure that trade wasn't affected was kind of a BS answer. In this book the caravan guard council ended up making Alex an Adjudicator who was authorized to do whatever was necessary to bring an end to the current problem of a necromancer. He got big race and was put in charge of over 100 highly trained orc warriors. So the main issue I had in the previous 2 books was solved which allowed me to enjoy this book much more. Overall, because that one thing was fixed, I am enjoying this series much more now and am looking forward to the next one.
