It's been two weeks since the large theater fire that wiped out most of Rockville's zombie population and Peter is still living on the town's water tower. But when a mysterious flash of light and a trip back to his old neighborhood lead him to investigate the untouched suburbs of Rockville, Peter finds that he is not the only one to survive this harsh new world. Will Peter finally find his new home in the land of the dead? Find out in The Pied Piper of the Undead 2, the sequel to Michael Whetzel's bestselling zombie novella.
The events in the first short story have lingering effects on Peter that follow him through to this next story. I hope to read more on the continued story of Peter, but if not then I hope him all the best.
I read the first story, so, I, absolutely had to read the sequel. This book was even more of a wild ride of emotions, than the first. This one gets more into the lack of, and, craving for the companionship of those who are like you, rather than just surviving around the undead that plague the earth. This book dives into whether, or, not, these people can help save you, or, if, ultimately, you must save yourself. Such a great book, and, I highly recommend it! The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars, is because, I wasn't as happy with the ending as I had hopes, and, really wish there had been a third book in the series.
I liked it alright. Books are a nice escape, and I have a tough time with spelling and grammar mistakes which pull me out of the story and back to reality. They would easily have been caught if just one person besides the author had read this first.
Great quick read. Action, drama but n pi t over the top gory details just enough. Young boy making it on his own. I think you'll like the second installment of this story.
I liked the first book better. This one left a sour taste in my mouth about how Debbie reacted towards Peter when he did what had to be done to save Trent. Also, I like when Peter is on his own and surviving. He's more interesting that way. But it was interesting to see him interested in a girl, I will admit that.
I had been saving and looking forward to this book for quite some time. It was definitely worth the wait! Peter is one of my favorite characters (who now also lives in my head and when I dream about him we are always on the water tower together). Thank the gods (and Mr. Whetzel) that the undead cannot climb! I look forward to reading what lies ahead for Peter. Note: I love how resilient and grounded Peter has stayed throughout this horrific ordeal.
