Penny and Jim are fair scunnered. Their wedding cruise is meant to be a dream come true—so why do their guests look ready to mutiny? Maybe it’s the surprise destination. Maybe it’s the storm trapping them at sea. Or maybe it’s the dead body that turns up before the cake’s even been cut.
With Sergeant Wilson too seasick to investigate, it’s up to Losers Club to unmask the killer. But as excitement builds about a display of ancient Crown Jewels, believed lost for centuries, they discover that none of their fellow passengers are what they seem—although one of them looks awfully familiar. And when they stumble upon a long-kept wartime secret, it becomes clear that murder was just the beginning.
Between solving the crime, unravelling a jewel heist, and keeping their wedding on track, Penny and Jim have their hands full. If they don’t crack this case fast, ‘til death do us part’ might come sooner than planned…
As a child, I loved reading. I spent my life with my nose in a book and, when finally forced back into the real world, I wrote poetry and stories. My hero was Pam Ayres and all I wanted to be when I grew up was a librarian, so that I could be around books all the time.
Of course, life takes you on different paths. Somehow, writing poems and stories got lost along the way. I was too busy partying in London through my twenties then being a mum through my thirties and forties. But on an August morning in 2018, at the tender age of forty-eight, I decided to create a blog on Facebook. Ten minutes later, Growing Old Disgracefully was born and the love of writing came flooding back. Encouraged by my lovely readers, I finally got off my lazy behind, put fingers to keyboard and wrote my first book, The Big Blue Jobbie, then another, and another.
Once more, I have a head full of stories and I can’t wait to tell them to you.
Mrs V does it again! Yvonne Vincent is a mistress of storytelling..her books are so good that I read them too quick and I always try not to lol. This is another adventure for the Losers Club but this time on a cruise! Jim and Penny are aiming to get married but other things get in the way and there are plenty of shenanigans with these gorgeous people Thanks once again, Mrs V...you really are a delight! 😁
Another great instalment of the Loser's Club, I was so excited for this coming out and it definitely didn't disappoint.
This has to be the funniest one yet, although there was moments when I started to well up towards the end and by the last few pages my heart truly broke for poor Sargent Wilson.
Filled with a mix of laugh out loud moments, edge of your seat drama and plot twists. Just when you think the series can't get any better Yvonne brings out the next book.
I have literally binge read this entire series in 4 months and I've loved every minute of it, can not recommend highly enough. I was a little sad as I thought this was the last one but ending on a "to be continue" has literally made my week. Watching the characters develop over the series is like being part of a weird dysfunctional family but I love it, honestly can't wait for my next fix of this hilarious series.
Another wonderful book from the unusual but delightful mind of Mrs V. If you don't enjoy the losers club there is something seriously wrong with you. If you find the use of what is sometimes referred to as "strong language" I suggest you loosen that corset and improve your vocabulary by reading this, and all the others in the series. Sergeant Wilson is a swearing savant. An utterly bewitching beautiful story.
I loved the other books in the series but this one drove me mad with the incessant inane drivel coming out of some of the characters ' mouths! Sergeant Wilson is not that funny anymore! She actually needs to put a sock in it! Gordon is disgusting and idiotic, Jeannie is a lush and Eileen's French is not funny as it doesn't even sound similar to any French words. I have had enough of the Losers Club! I think it's time they retired.
what could go wrong on a wedding cruise? Any and everything when the gang from Vik are involved. Sergeant Wilson is seasick, Jim and Gordon are in the brig for murder, and the women are at each other's throats. This does, of course, cause mayhem. laughed my way straight through the book. I am not at all offended by the 'f' word, as it is always used appropriately. That's the way of the word.kerpbit going Yvonne Vincent
Yvonne Vincent certainly knows how to write a perfect escapism with adventures aplenty. Looking forward to the next one with these amazing characters xo🫶🏻xo
The Losers Club are at it again. This time they are on a cruise ship. Penny and Jim are to be married and they brought their families and friends along. Things start going downhill with a murder. Read the book to discover the rest of the story!
Love this series but I wish I'd of known it was To be continued setting on a beach in Cuba enjoying this book and it's so frustrating when it finished on a cliff hanger wanted to throw my kindle into the sea
Absolutely brilliant. Couldn’t put it down, laughed out loud at some of the antics of the Loser Club. OMG the ending…Hope the next book is nearly finished and I don’t have to wait too long
Loved this instalment of the “Looser's Club” and the setting of a cruise ship was inspiring. Many twists and turns with comical moments intertwined makes it a book that you don’t want to put down.
Just like the rest it made me laugh though I must say I find Sargent Wilson a bit annoying and I get tired of her. The book was not my favorite but fun.
