Hi, I’m Madi. And this is my story.
Warning: it’s pretty crazy.
My sort-of best friend has just gone missing. It’s not really unusual for her to skip out for days at a time, but this time it’s different. Somebody is out to get her. I just wish I knew who. Everybody thinks she’s dead and that one of my friends did it.
Sure, a lot of people hate her, but who would hate her enough to kill her? I just hope I can find her before it’s too late.
I will figure out the the truth — one dirty secret at a time.

I write clean NA romance books. I have a slight addiction to Red Bull. When I'm not writing, I like to play music (I play the guitar and bass).

I honestly think that the mysterious, who-done-it aspect of the book is great and tastefully done. I finish the story believable and the troubled romance in this one excellent. Reminds me of star crossed lovers. Destined to be together and destined to be apart. What I don't like that gives this story two stars is the fact that this is basically one book that got pulled apart to make more "mini" books to make money. Now, I am not against short story series. I am really in love with the Peachville High Demons series, which are short books written in a series format. They are complete stories in and of itself. This book just felt like a pieced apart book, not a complete story. Even the Webster Grove series, those books felt complete. I really did enjoy the story, but it feels like a money grab to me.

I've always loved Mercy's writing style so was excited to give this series a go. I found the book moved quite quickly but the first person point of view of Madi at times came across as exceptionally juvenile. I'm not sure if it's because she is so nice, sweet etc or just the way the books been written, especially with this being their senior year. I'm going to give books 2 and 3 a go to see if maybe I'll warm to .madi, this was not badly written I feel I must stress, I just think it's more Madi as a character - 3 stars.

Madi is unlikable, completely fake and a follower. I felt like she could have popped right out of the movie "mean girls" but the character was a little too unrealistic in her attributes, too "perfect". She runs like a track star, is naturally smart, good at everything she tries and amazingly beautiful and yet, no one else seems to think she is the B* that Daisy her best friend/ enemy (Frienemy?) is.

In all honesty I didn't even finish because what really killed it for me was that the story's flow was choppy and disjointed.

Great short story...

The more I read book by Mercy the more I fall in love, her books are amazing.

In this short story you meet a group of friends and one goes missing. Is she hiding for attention or did something bad really happen? I can't wait to read episode 2 :)

PLL Rip-off

Very poorly written book. I really felt like I was reading a high schoolers' diary or something. And this whole thing is very Pretty Little Liars to me. No good.
